Guest Reviews
- Ralf (10/5): Alles bestens - Herrliche absolut ruhige Anlage zum Relaxen
Viele liebevolle Details in der Wohnung
Frühstück in einer ehemaligen Kirche
Hilfsbereiter Gastgeber bei Problem mit unseren Auto ---
- Sofi (10/5): - My husband and I stayed one night at this wonderful property and were warmly welcomed by the host, Marco. The communication was excellent from before our arrival all the way until check-out. Marco was incredibly friendly and took the time to tell us about the accommodation, the vineyard, and also gave us valuable tips on places to visit during our trip.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful and so charmingly renovated. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and honestly one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. The surroundings of the estate are breathtaking and it is within walking distance of the lovely little town of Brisighella.
Of course, we also had the chance to try Marco’s wine, which we thought was absolutely delicious. In the morning, Marco served an amazing breakfast platter.. truly the best breakfast we had during our trip in Italy. Everything was beautifully presented and the flavors were incredible.
We highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again!
- Päivi (10/5): Ihana viinitila - Ihana paikka! En haluaisi lähteä pois lainkaan. Isäntä Marco on superystävällinen.

- Paula (10/5): - I felt welcomed and well taken care of! It truly was a privilege to stay on such a beautiful property. Also, the breakfast was amazing – so fresh and constructed with love! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed for the value.
- Dagmar (10/5): Wonderful haven amongst the Vines - Absolutely dreamy farm stay in the Emilia Romagna. Marco couldn't be a more charming host and his "tour" of the wine making cellar was by far and away the best cellar tour I've every had. The location is super quiet, but walking distance to a charming yet authentic small town. Plenty of lovely spots on the grounds to sit and relay, as well as a beautiful pool amongst the vines just topped off the experience! Maybe a few more dish washer tabs and please please please... fix the approach road!!
- Olivier (10/5): -

- Natasha (7/5): Beautiful stay on a vineyard — but the bed really needs sorting! - Such a special place with a lovely story. Beautiful property in the heart of the countryside, set on a vineyard with a beautiful pool and wonderful & delicious daily breakfast.. we were excited for it each day. The chapel is really cool to chill in with a record playing and to relax!
We asked for extra pillows which were kindly supplied :) The bed was absolutely terrible and kept breaking throughout our stay — to the extent that we couldn’t sleep so well at night. This was disappointing for us given the price of the property. The mattress was really bad quality too. We saw this in earlier reviews of the place but hoped the issue would’ve been solved!
- Anna (9/5): -
- Alice (10/5): - Bellissimo rustico
- Lorna (10/5): A beautiful and relaxing escape in the country - This place is beautiful. Set amongst the vinyards and rolling hills, it is a real escape for peace and quiet. Marco was just so lovely and helpful. He kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station. He was very generous with him time and accommodated our needs. The room and communal spaces are beautifully designed and very comfortable. It was a real treat to relax by the pool and enjoy the bottle of wine left for us in the fridge. The breakfast was delicious - all local or homemade and so much of it! Thank you Marco and family for letting us stay in your beautiful home and for looking after us so well. There was nothing that we didn't like. We were a bit disorganised when it came to booking a meal in the village. Marco provided some recommendations but we were too late and everywhere good was booked up. Would recommend finding out places to eat and booking in advance.
- Choyce (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing stay in a beautiful converted chapel - The breakfast was a highlight! A delicious continental breakfast including fresh fruit, tomatoes, cheese, all beautifully served.
The location is great if you have a car, but the nearest town is still walkable distance if not.
- Thérèse (10/5): -
- AN (9/5): -
- Frauke (10/5): - Exceptionnel !!
- Lottie (9/5): Wonderful property with a private farmstay experience. - Scenery, Cleanliness, Base for exploring other towns e.g. Ferrara and Bologna. Pool was a welcome respite at the end of a hot day. Amazing property. Marco was very helpful and hospitable. Was all great. If there were kids yelling and doing bombs in and out of the pool, it was not an area you could go and relax. But otherwise a stunning spot.
- Lauren (10/5): Beautiful place and wonderful host. We hope to return in the future. - Beautiful house, room and surroundings. It was only a 10-15 minute walk into town. Marco was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. We cannot recommend this stay enough. We hope to return to this peaceful place in the future. Nothing.
- Adar (10/5): Exceptional - The place is wonderful, the grounds so beautiful with the pool and vineyards. The dining hall that used to be a church had its charm. The breakfast was delicious and colorful. The design is great and the shower amazing. Marco is a good host and it was fun talking to him and getting good tips from him The bed mattress was uncomfortable. There is no drawer or shelf to put clothes on.
- Katuscia (9/5): Lovely place and welcoming hosts, a pleasure to chat with. - Stunning location, with a rich, plentiful breakfast served in a magnificent hall, formerly a church.
Beautiful surroundings in a wine estate set amidst the scenic Romagna hills, just a stone's throw from the Vena del Gesso Park and the picturesque village of Brisighella.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Wonderful place that I would highly recommend - Beautifully appointed rooms, such an interesting setting in a remodeled 14th century church on beautiful vineyards. Great breakfast! There was a hole in one window screen so we couldn’t open one of the windows. But we loved this place! If you look cool, interesting places to stay that provide a unique and special atmosphere in somewhat off the beaten track locations like Brisighella, highly recommend
- Guido (8/5): Great night in brisighella - The style and friendliness of the owner. And quality of the breakfast. The pillows were very thin and soft.
- Will (10/5): One of the best places I have ever stayed! Marco and Maura were amazing hosts, and I can’t wait to return. - Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting. Impressive attention to detail, and extremely generous and kind hosts. Lovely rooms, great breakfast and wine tasting, and very thoughtful hosts. Nothing at all - everything was perfect.
- Dagmar (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful place in the vineyards, delicious breakfast. Thank you very much!
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): A haven in beautiful nature with all the home comforts - gorgeous in every way - It is a stunning place to stay: in the middle of nature but within easy reach of Brisighella. The breakfast was fabulous, the rooms gorgeous. On a hot day you can relax by the pool under the vines - just stunning! And it is extra special to be in a historical place and have breakfast in a beautifully restored church. We loved it! Marco was also really helpful and took us to the station when we left. We can’t fault it.
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Wonderful stay and exceptional wines! - The setting up the hill in nature right next to the vineyards was stunning. The wines were exceptional and the personalized wine tasting provided by Marco, the wine maker, was a highlight. Brisighella is a quaint, authentic and character full little town that comes alive at night. Away from the tourist frenzy.
- Dwyer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - The place is truly amazing. Peace and quiet.
The host is very helpful and accommodating.
Beautifully served breakfast with fresh local products.
Thank you
- Nikolaj (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great, when the stay was over our host drove us to the station
- Marcela (10/5): - Beautiful place and hosts
- Ella (10/5): Idyllic, this was my second stay and I I will be back again - Beautiful property and very kind owners. Swimming pool nestled between lavender and grape vines. The perfect place to unwind in nature. Very close to the picturesque town of Brisighella, a short walk or drive up the hill and you are in one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Breakfast is superb and specially presented with a lot of care.
- Mazzoccoli (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful place to stay amongst the Italian countryside, the best part definitely being the pool right next to the vineyards! Very thoughtfully decorated rooms and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had, the hosts were very lovely and welcoming, such an amazing experience. Nothing!
- Riley (10/5): Stay here, you won’t regret it! - This property is absolutely beautiful. It is historic, simple, comfortable, and has a lovely offering of both indoor and outdoor spaces. The rooms are quiet, very well decorated and furnished, and quite luxurious. The hosts are very friendly and informative, we sincerely enjoyed chatting with Marco. The property is a short and easy walk into town, and it makes for the perfect place to enjoy Brisighella then have a lovely glass of wine by the pool in the afternoon. We hope to return in the future. The Wifi was spotty, but at a place like this you are doing yourself a disservice if you’re spending your time on a screen.
- Judith (10/5): This was our second time at Baccagnano and we will definitely come back again! - A beautiful building with charming rooms and an amazing garden with a small pool in the vineyard…truly a piece of heaven!
- Fleck (10/5): A wonderful stay in a historic B&B at a vineyard. - What a beautiful and peaceful spot! An old refurbished church turned into lodging with all the comforts, surrounded by vineyards. The heart of Brisighella is just 1 mile away. The breakfast was abundant -- the best of our 3-week trip. A perfect place to rest after a the hike up to La Rocca and across to the clock tower for lovely views. Everything was perfect.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Waldek (10/5): Perfect stay - Literally everything was perfect! I hope I will have the opportunity to go back there
- Alison (10/5): A soothing, memorable stay! - We loved everything about our stay at A.A. Baccagnano! Marco is a kind, down-to-earth host who was so prompt to try and help us find our way (we took a wrong turn and ended up stuck in mud) and then helpful, allowing us to wash off our muddy rental car and shoes. The home is fabulously remodeled, fusing old world charm with modern touches, and the setting around the house (vineyards etc.) so serene. The best part had to be the breakfast - with seasonal honey from hives on their land, homemade yogurt, soft boiled eggs on beautifully colored shells…I could go on and on. I definitely would (hopefully *will*) come back some day! Nothing!
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location to relax after touring the region. Lovely clean facilities and carefully decorated rooms. Excellent breakfast.
- Jenoa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): A wonderful respite. We really enjoyed Marco and staff and the other guests. - It was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and the breakfasts were delicious. It was a little farther out of town than we anticipated. Without a car, there is a lot of walking. This is fine during the day, but we hesitated to walk at night. The area was certainly safe, but as older adults, we did not want a misstep in the dark to put a damper on our travels. Best to have a car or be confident walking on slightly rough roads after dark.
- Graham (10/5): Excellent - Good vegan breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, owners and dog. Excellent wine. Bats seen close by at night, owls heard, a very tranquil and relaxing stay close to a medieval town. There was nothing we disliked.
- Greg (10/5): - Nice, clean and well appointed room. Pool area comfortable and just right. Marco was very helpful in getting us settled. Good breakfast of fresh fruits, breads, yogurt, local cheeses - all delicious.
- Anonymous (10/5): We arrived tired and left content! We hope to come back again in the future. - A beautiful location to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Considered and welcoming, everything about the space and atmosphere Marco and co have created invites you to make yourself at home. Delicious breakfasts, reading under the vines beside the pool with a glass of wine, walking into Brisighella for delicious food and exploring the three hills, and watching shooting stars in the evenings… the happiest holiday! Consciously chose to take the train (and bus replacement) rather than hire a car, and we have no regrets!
- Jamie (9/5): Bellisima! - The property is absolutely stunning and an authentic experience of Italy. The hosts were very personable and helpful. Would very much recommend staying here. If you’re without a car, as I was, the unlit 15min walk to Brisghella centre may be a pain for some, but its location is part of the charm.
- Christoforos (10/5): Absolutely stunning - We spent a night in Baccagnano. Even though I was sick, I thoroughly enjoyed the place! The hosts were super attentive and friendly, the hotel is beautifully renovated with attention to detail, very clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast!!
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful setting in a lovingly restored building. An easy walk into nearby Brisighella that has several excellent bars and restaurants. It is peaceful and the welcome friendly.
- Chiara (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (9/5): Stylish and relaxing. - We had a wonderful time at the property. Everything was very stylish and beautiful. The hosts were super nice and friendly. They gave us great tips and helped us have a fantastic vacation.
The property is located on a walking distance from the village. It’s located in a super suite and calm area.
The pool area is fantastic and you can spend the whole day there if you want not to leave the property. Something which can be improved is the mattress. At least in our room it was a bit stiff in some areas while being bouncy at the same time, so when I move my wife was waking up by it.
The other thing is the breakfast. It was really nice but it consisted mostly of carbs. Maybe some variety will improve it a lot and make it outstanding.
- Judith (10/5): A wonderful refuge! - A lovely gem - we will definitely be coming back!
- William (10/5): our stay was very enjoyable and we will be back soon - the surroundings is peaceful and beautiful none
- Artemi (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the breakfast, decoration, location, silence, but above all the staff. Everyone was very polite and helped us out when we were in a tight spot. 10/10 would come here again. Bonus points for delicious wine!
- Uros (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pietro (10/5): Exceptional - la location autenticanente rurale
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our time here and thought our room, the breakfast and wine tasting was all superb. Marco is a very kind and generous host. Nothing.
- Roger (9/5): Don't miss tasting Marco's wine - Attractively served. Good quality products For our comfort the bed was a little bit hard, but we have experienced this often in Italy
- Susan (10/5): Fantastic hosts who collected us from station and made us feel at home. This is a great place to unwind, we loved it. - Beautiful peaceful location. The property has been respectfully restored, the rooms are lovely. Nothing
- Michel (10/5): Great place to relax! - Friendly hosts, lovely and quiet place, close to a nice village with plenty of opportunities to eat!
- Shaz (10/5): We couldn’t have had a more welcoming and peaceful stay in Brisighella! would recommend the hotel to anyone and everyone - Beautiful location, left the hotel with full bellies in the morning. The space itself is beautifully designed, quiet and the location is picturesque. Will recommend to all family and friends. If on foot, make sure you contact Marco about how to get to the property - we missed his message and walked the long way round (still a beautiful walk!). This was absolutely not the fault of Marco or his family but just us not reading things correctly.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Azienda Agricola Baccagnano is out of a dream. Beautifully perched among vineyards about a half kilometer walk to the center of charming Brisighella — the perfect distance to enjoy the stars as you stroll home after feasting on the village's local delicacies. Marco is a welcoming host with great recommendations around the area. Breakfast is incredible. The house and room were stunning and comfortable. We cannot wait to return.
- Laurie (9/5): Superb - beautiful location. gracious host. excellent breakfast.
- William (10/5): can’t miss. feels like. hidden gem. thank you Marco! an amazing four night stay. great for small families or couples. th -
- Viktoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (9/5): Relaxing, lovely countryside, close to all the amenities in the village - Lovely breakfast , great variety of fruit, bread , eggs , yoghurt.
Very comfortable room with its own entrance. A 15 minute walk from the village. Could have provided tea, coffee , cups in the room?
- David (10/5): A wonderful and relaxing stay with exceptional hosts. - Excellent breakfast with fresh local produce in a beautiful location. N/A
- Christopher (9/5): A great base to explore the locality and relax - Good and quiet location with the town with restaurants, bars, shops only a 15 minute walk away. Really helpful host who took time to talk to us and gave us a tour of his winery. Excellent breakfast. Good location for visiting Ravenna as well as accessing great cycling in the locality. The pool could be enjoyed amongst the vines.
- Kasper (10/5): Exceptional - Such a charming agriturismo on a very quiet location, even though it’s just a 15min walk to beautiful Brisighella. Marco is a very kind and attentive host. And a wonderful swimming pool to top it off!
- Rosa (10/5): Worth a visit! - Baccagnano is a beautifully appointed farm stay that slows down the pace of life. The elegant and rustic decor w modern amenities are completely
- Lori (10/5): Great place to stay! - This place was so wonderful! Every detail was thought out carefully. We were treated like welcomed guests.
- Will (10/5): - Alles is hier mooi. De ligging, de kamers, alles. Eenvoud in perfectie.
- Hanna (10/5): Peacefulness with impeccable style - Incredibly stylish hotel for a peaceful stay in a lovely small vineyard. Clean, cosy rooms and lovely common areas both indoor and in the garden. The breakfast was amazing, simple but delicious! The owners are super nice and accomodating people, would definitely recommend to stay!
- Graham (10/5): Beautiful and unique hotel - This was a really memorable place to stay, as you can no doubt see from the photos. Absolutely beautiful room, building and surroundings. The owners, Maura and Marco, were both very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and with the property being away from the town, it was silent at night.
The WiFi and shower both worked great.Breakfast was delicious, and served in the part of the building that was formerly a church, so was very atmospheric.
Maybe not the best option if you don’t
have a car, as it’s possibly a little far from town to walk, but it’s location is part of the charm.
Our only issue was the air conditioning struggled to cool the high-ceilinged room effectively, and we stayed on a really hot day. This meant we had to sleep on top of the bedding.
- BC-Canada (8/5): - The host and hostess are charming. They have a very uniquely restored house that includes an ancient chapel that is now the breakfast room. Keep in mind this is a remote location and you MUST have a car and GPS. The interior is industrial farmhouse with many creative design elements. The room was specious and the bed fabulously comfortable but it lacked a few elements that would make guests more comfortable; a luggage rack, a bar for the coat hangers in the wardrobe and a reading light on both sides of the bed. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Hard boiled eggs, bread, pastries, yogurt, cereals, fruit, juice and coffee.
- stefano (10/5): Bellissima esperienza - Un posto incantevole, in campagna ma a brevissima distanza da Brisighella. Atmosfera incantevole, persone squisite. Un'atmosfera genuina e di grande classe. Assolutamente da provare
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Posto tranquillo,in mezzo alla natura ma allo stesso tempo vicinissimo a brisighella. Gestori molto gentili. Ottima colazione
Camera molto spaziosa e accogliente, bagno ampio e pulito. Consigliatissimo.
- David (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Marco and Maura and Azienda Agricola Baccagnano are wonderful. They are great hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facility is beautiful, quaint, romantic, clean, and "magical". I would recommend Brisighella and Azienda Agricola Baccagnano to anyone!
