- Jennifer (6/5): Okay but needs improvement - The property is very clean and the units are spacious. The kitchen has everything you need. The WiFi is unstable. When we arrived, we were told the WiFi was down and we were given a portable WiFi device which worked but was very slow. The next day, regular WiFi was fixed. Again, it was slow and would go off and on. The water, we expected to be undrinkable, but we did not expect it to smell so badly. Our shower water had a strong sulfur smell that filled the entire unit. The pool is tiny but clean. We did not use it and opted to spend our days at the beach. The property manager, Gladdys, is wonderful. She showed us around the area and was very responsive to our requests. She made sure we always had fresh towels and beach towels and provided suggestions for where to pick up groceries. The area around this property is a mix of really cute and charming with run-down, dirty and full of litter all over the streets which are in terrible shape. The walk to nearby shops and restaurants was challenging to navigate with all the holes, broken rocks/bricks and garbage strewn around. The people -including Gladdys - were warm and friendly. They were the best part of our stay.

- Stephany (8/5): A clean, well-located home with great hosts, but limited amenities and some connectivity and AC issues. - The location was excellent—about an 8-minute walk to the beach with an easy shortcut, and the area felt very safe. My kids were able to walk back and forth to the beach, shops, and restaurants without concern. The property also included access to a beach area with chairs and a palapa, which was a great added perk and always available. Glennys, who welcomed us, was wonderful—warm, friendly, and very helpful. Communication with the hosts was also excellent; they were responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. The home itself was very clean, and the individual AC units in the bedrooms were a nice feature when working properly. The home felt very minimal for a vacation rental, with only the bare essentials provided. There were no games or extras, which would have been especially helpful during rainy days. The TVs in the bedrooms were not functional for streaming or screen sharing, and we were unable to connect them to the WiFi. We couldn’t reliably connect to WiFi—connection only worked intermittently and mostly in the main living area. The AC units were inconsistent; the main area worked well, but one bedroom never cooled, and the upstairs master occasionally stopped producing cold air and only circulated. These issues impacted overall comfort during our stay.

- Michael (9/5): Einfach Schön - Die saubere großzügig geschnittene Wohnung die keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat. Frau Glennys und ihr Team sind Gold wert. Freundlich hilfsbereit und fleißig. Der Strand mit bar’s und Restaurants ist in 5 min erreicht. Das man den Strom extra abrechnet.
- Jakub (10/5): Úžasný pobyt v Dominikánské Republice díky Sanctuary - Čisté, klidné a bezpečné prostředí. Pohodlí. Komfort. Skvělá paní hostitelka, která nám hned po příjezdu ukázala městečko. Doporučila agenturu na výlety. Ve všem nám pomohla, byla velmi ochotná. Děkujeme Glenny!!! Komunikace s majiteli byla přes Whatsapp okamžitá. Ve vile je všechno vybavení. Postele jsou pohodlné. Bazén je menší, ale na osvěžení stačí. Stejně jsme 99% času trávili na pláži. Ubytování je 3 minuty od pláže, průchod přes restauraci Enjoy je umožněn, tam se můžete i najíst. Slunečník a lehátka jsou zdarma zajištěna u Villa Blanca na pláži. I tam mají skvělé občerstvení. Do městečka to jsou také 3 minuty. Na nákup do dobře zásobeného obchodu to je 5 minut. Lékárna 24 hod non stop je hned vedle. A hned vedle lékárny je cestovní agentura se super výlety. I agenturu a jejich průvodkyni nám doporučila Glenny, zavedla nás přímo za ní. Tím naše důvěra v agenturu značně vzrostla, protože prodejci na ulici nejsou tak důvěryhodní. Ale exkurze na Saonu a Samana byly úžasné a nezapomenutelné. Děkujeme Sanctuary a Glenny za úžasný pobyt v Dominikánské Republice. Vše bylo dokonalé. Za výpadky WIFI majitel nemůže, tato služba zde není úplně stabilní. Lepší je mít zaplacená data z domova, popř.se připojovat v restauracích k WIFI. Pozor nepijte místní vodu.
- Tania Kitik (10/5): Comfort, Great Location and Wonderful Hospitality - A truly wonderful stay! We stayed for 9 nights and were extremely satisfied with everything. The hotel offers a fantastic atmosphere – calm, cozy, and perfect for a truly relaxing vacation. The penthouse was very clean, comfortable, and excellently maintained. You can clearly see the attention to every detail and the effort made to ensure that guests feel comfortable throughout their entire stay. The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, and always ready to help, creating a genuine sense of care and hospitality. They were available 24/7, for which we are sincerely grateful, especially to Glennys Baez! We stayed on an accommodation-only basis. We prepared our breakfasts in the perfectly equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed, and for lunch and dinner we usually chose one of the many nearby restaurants. The area around the hotel is extremely convenient – there are plenty of restaurants, fast food places, bars, and shops that are open almost around the clock. The beach is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and guests are provided with complimentary umbrellas, sun loungers, and beach towels. We also had fast internet, and each room has a smart TV with included paid channels, which allowed us to keep up with the news from Bulgaria and enjoy movies of our choice. We would definitely choose this hotel again and gladly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and excellent service. Thank you for the wonderful stay – we promise to come back again! Unfortunately, our stay was far too short 🙂
- Thilo (10/5): Eine wunderbare Auszeit vom europäischen Winter. - Das Sanctuary liegt in Los Corales und damit ca. 2 Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Wir haben den Fahrservice vom Hotel in Anspruch genommen. Hier gab es keine Probleme. Der Strand ist wundervoll. Weißer Sand, Palmen und türkisblaues Meer. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Liegen und Schattenplätze sind auch für die Gäste des Sanctuary verfügbar ohne Bezahlung. Am Strand kann man zu vernünftigen Preisen Drinks und Essen erwerben. Innerhalb von 10 Gehminuten sind viele Restaurants zu erreichen. Unsere Tipps für das Frühstück ist das LesAmandiers und zum Dinner und Lunch das La Bruja. Für die deutschen Gäste: Der Kellner Ramon im La Bruja spricht sogar etwas Deutsch. Aber auch die anderen Restaurants haben uns nicht enttäuscht, alle Menschen in den Restaurants waren unglaublich freundlich. Getoppt wurden sie nur von dem Hotelpersonal. Sowohl der Manager Leon als auch die Reinigungskräfte waren unglaublich gastfreundlich und standen immer zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Leitungswasser in der Karibik ist im Allgemeinen nicht sehr gut. Hier gab es zwischenzeitlich kurze Aussetzer. Leon hat sich aber um alles super schnell gekümmert und war auch durchgehend für uns erreichbar. Im Endeffekt hat dies unser Urlaubserlebnis daher nicht beeinträchtigt.
- Octavian (10/5): Home away from home in the best part of Bavaro! - Very good state of the property, ample spaces and very good appointed. Very good collaboration with Leon, the property manager, for whom there was no issue that could not be solved. The location, while close to the beach and restaurants, is hard to reach by the taxi drivers, that mostly use a dead end road that only brings you to the proximity of the villa. However, this is not property’s fault, but rather a fact.

Nice rooms, great location, great and helpful hotel manager. - The sanctuary is a designer boutique hotel located near Corales with restaurants, and a very nice beach all within a few minutes of walking. Interesting architecture, nice rooms and a very nice place, in top condition. Leon, the hotel manager is adding incredible value to an already great place. He is kind, helpful and extremely serviceminded. All the customers love him - and so do we. We look forward to come back.

Leon the host was amazing and gave us some great information and a tour round the area with some good recommendations where to eat out. The cleaners came as often as we requested and did a fantastic job when they did. Every detail about our needed had been thought out and we wanted for nothing. She didn’t seem to understand we just wanted our privacy. My Spanish is good and she understood but kept insisting and I had to subsequently contact her boss to tell her to stop
- Paola (10/5): - This is a really beautiful place inside and outside, It has a small pool and sitting area. The accommodations were incredibly clean. We were on the 2nd floor and our place included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms/showers, a common sitting area with dining room and a kitchen. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very pleasant Yasha. She was at the property every day, provided us with excellent service and definitely made our stay very pleasant. Having been to Punta Cana several times, I would definitely choose this over the overpriced resorts. We were within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Definitely a win win in terms of value, cleanliness and access to everything you need.

- Thomas (9/5): Enjoyable stay in the heart of it all! - We had a second floor two bedroom apartment. It was spotless with good beds and linens. We wanted to be part of the city rather than an all inclusive resort. The area is a bit gritty but has great character. We always felt safe and were treated kindly by all locals. The beach is very nice. Walking along it provides a chance to see local Dominican beach culture with small bars and cafes. Again, a bit gritty but fun and interesting. The highlight of our stay at the Sanctuary was our host, Yasha. She is extremely kind, professional and helpful. She was available throughout the stay to assist us. Two thumbs up! The pictures of the pool are a bit deceiving. It is a bit small and mostly covered in shade.
- Mark (1/5): my last two nights prepayed on my credit card were cancelled without my consent for complaining - Was a nice size unit and within walking distance to the beach but it had serious issues with the water supply Was meet by yasha who initially seemed super nice and even showed me around the area,but her lack of response when trying to resolve the water issues was disappointing when first encountered and entering my unit without my permission to me is a big no no in the rental world I had no hot water had to take cold showers,bad for my arthritic condition,(I require a hip replacement when I get home)from the moment I checked in there was a lack of water pressure and no hot water. After many complaints put forward to the onsite representative yasha and to the company who own this place they finally sent someone to rectify the issue on the 4th day of my stay,I was finally happy to have my first decent hot shower in days.To my dismay today I received an email notification that my last two nights of my stay here were cancelled thru their company claiming I made the request! I did not make any request and in actual fact sent them an email previously today thanking them for resolving the water issues this afternoon. I was in the unit and heard a strange loud bang noise from somewhere down below in the complex and I went to have a shower at suppertime and found out I again have zero water coming out of every faucet in the unit.I was given a refund credit of $212.41 placed in my booking.com account with no explanation from this company I booked with.I am expecting a full refund for my last two nights which Im being forced out this place which has now turned into a blessing because I have no water again. I also expect a full refund for my large damage deposit of $212.46 that was charged to my credit card.I also expect most of the $100 us funds they made me pay them for a deposit on electrical usage,I made a request to see the meter to yasha the rep who took the funds so I could see what numbers were on the meter before and afterwards but was denied,she claimed the building where there meters were kept was locked and it was only accessable by the power company,how do they know my usage amount if she cant access the meter when Im force? Ive documented via photos the water problems every day to the company and after thinking it was fixed I had no water coming out of any faucet again tonight,no use of toilets,its 3am and I now hear them working on it!

- Yamini (8/5): Nice Home in center of city - Definitely we had a positive experience and nice home and good to stay with family. Just that we cant use the water in this home, it is very stinking and we cant use this water for kitchen or for drinking. After shower also it stinks entire bathroom. Home is very new and lot of construction near by and roads are muddy but its for 1-2 streets. House need some pest control and i can understand due to tropical weather its like that. Service is excellent and always they were available whenever you want and very helpful. I recommend you to book in advance to avoid expensive rate, we have paid almost $275/Day, which is expensive but we want to use the kitchen hence we booked this. For the same price we can get all inclusive resorts. Also we were not aware that we have to pay electricity bill, which cost $10/Day additional and Hotels.com not informed me before and it is not transparent. Overall i strongly recommend this home and you can book excursions from this place and enjoy ur time.
- Angela (9/5): Overall, it was a great place. We gad a relaxing time. Just wish there wasn’t so much construction going on. - The property was very nice, and clean. The very best part was the property manager, Yasha. She was the absolute best host! She took great care of the place and of us. Whatever we needed, she made sure we got. I wish I could take her back with us to the U.S. The construction around the property was a negative. They started very early every single morning which forced us out of bed before 8 a.m. We were on vacation and I was out of bed earlier than if I was at home for work.
- Gunther (10/5): Excellent experience, perfect travel preparations & customer care during the stay. Exemplary hosting - Excellent and competent communication by mail and phone with the host ahead arrival with perfect information and activity booking support. (Excursions, restaurants, etc.) Renae (back-office manager), was an outstanding friendly, competent & helpful contact for all family needs (trip organisation, general questions on specific restaurants & on-site activity booking) On site, Leon (local general manager), welcomed us personally to hand over the keys and to organise the needs for the upcoming days, even we arrived in the middle of the night. The apartment was in perfect conditions and cleaned, there was even sufficient cold water for the family in the fridge present for the first days. It was highly appreciated that Leon came to see us on a regular basis (nearly every day) to check if there is whatever need or potential problem, he could support us with. This man is fantastic and an example for perfect customer care. The stay at the Sanctuary in Punta Cana was excellent, all family members enjoyed nice and relaxing holidays. Thank you Leon. - Jeffrey (10/5): - the property manager leon was very supportive of us throughout our stay. he gave us a walking tour of the area and gave us restaurant recommendations which turned out to be very accurate. it was a personal touch we didn't expect that made a big difference for us. the condo itself was gorgeous with contemporary modern furniture and we loved everything about it.

- Tania (10/5): We all absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends - The property is clean, spacious and very close to a variety of restaurants and the beach 🏝️ Air conditioning worked really well. The staff were all so pleasant, helpful and it was easy to ask them for recommendations or for advice 😃 The water was turned off for filtration, although this was at nighttime for a few hours so didn’t really impact us.
- Sebastain (10/5): had a blast and this wonderful penthouse!! - The property was perfect literally! great location, super great property manager, and cleaning staff was great. we definitely coming back to stay there again.
- Stephen (9/5): Friendly people, nice beach, great apartment. And good value - Apartment spotless and all very new and in good order. Check in friendly and v thorough, Leon is a legend. Well equipped. The area around was a little tatty with some building rubbish dumped - but that is outside the bit that is owned by los corales and to be fair it was being cleaned up as we left. Overall an excellent property. Pool is on the small side.
