• Kerstin (10/5): Ein Traum - Die Lage ist toll, die Aussicht auf das Meer ein Traum, das Appartement ist gut ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt.

Sarebbe bastato poco per rendere il nostro soggiorno piacevole in un luogo molto bello. - La terrazza sull'oceano Nel tardo pomeriggio dell'arrivo ci siamo resi conto che il lenzuolo di base presentava 2 macchie importanti, verosimilmente di sangue rappreso. Abbiamo subito contattato la struttura per la sostituzione, ma ci è stato risposto che sarebbero intervenuti in orario di ufficio. A questo punto, si erano fatte ormai le 21, chiediamo dove passare la notte. Veniamo reindirizzati a signora delle pulizie, con la quale inizia una assurda conversazione via Whatsapp, richiesta di foto del lenzuolo (inviata), giustificazione che il lavaggio del lenzuolo viene fatto a 70° quindi nessun problema, e comunque a quell'ora nessun intervento possibile. Praticamente: arrangiatevi. Alle 22.04 (uscita cena saltata, serata compromessa, malumore) ci rivolgiamo all'assistenza Booking. Riusciamo a parlare subito con una operatrice molto gentile (Egitto), che dice di capire il nostro disagio e ci rassicura che avrebbe contattato la struttura per una soluzione. In effetti alle 22.55 un nuovo messaggio ci invita ad usufruire il letto dell'appartamento a fianco, vuoto. Accettiamo ovviamente, ma perché solo ora? L'appartamento ci viene aperto a distanza tramite il nostro cellulare. Non abbiamo ricevuto alcuna mail di scuse dai proprietari, solo le istruzioni di uscita il giorno del check-out, con la richiesta di essere puntuali, poichè sarebbe stata attivata la disattivazione automatica delle porte alle 11:00. Crediamo che si debba essere professionalmete corretti, presenti o reperibili, anche per interposta persona, in caso di necessità. Un errore può capitare, anche se è difficile capire perchè sia stato utilizzato un lenzuolo così evidentemente sporco, ma deve essere rimediato con diligenza. Questo vale anche per una struttura con plus innegabili quale un terrazzo con vista bellissima sull'oceano. Aggiungiamo che il nostro appartamento non era impeccabile, la camera con finestrella su strada non isolava dal rumore del traffico, era buio.
• Betta (9/5): Semplicemente spettacolare - Per scoprire davvero Lanzarote bisogna andare a el Golfo e alloggiare in questa struttura tradizionale dove ci si sente nello stesso tempo a casa e in un paradiso. Il terrazzo è impagabile. L' alloggio piccolo, ma pratico e confortevole. La posizione meravigliosa in mezzo al lago verde e bellissime spiagge. Con ristorantini piacevoli e alla mano. Super consigliato
• Caroline (10/5): Un endroit hors du temps. - L’établissement est vraiment super ! Un petit coin de paradis au bord de l’océan, bercé par le bruit des vagues à la lumière du couché du soleil. La chambre, avec sa petite cuisine était absolument parfaite, idéale pour un court séjour. Le kit de bienvenue est une attention toute particulière. L’ambiance y est calme et paisible, le confort est top et la vue absolument superbe !

• Alice (9/5): Tornerei ogni anno! - Posizione perfetta, vale la pena soggiornare qui solo per la terrazza affacciata sull'oceano. Vista sul tramonto impagabile! Cucina attrezzatissima, camere pulite e host gentilissimi. Ci tornerei di sicuro! Unica pecca i letti singoli, avevamo richiesto un matrimoniale e hanno semplicemente unito due singoli con tanto di rotelle. Non comodissimi.
• Vanja (8/5): - I had a pleasant stay overall — the location is great and the terrace was definitely the highlight. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming, and I appreciated their helpfulness. The only thing that wasn’t very convenient was the unlocking app. I noticed in other reviews that many guests had similar experiences. It worked, but it felt a bit unreliable and not as straightforward as using regular keys, which would probably make arrivals and daily access much smoother. Apart from that, the studio could benefit from a few improvements, such as better table and stools, and some additional hooks in the bathroom for storing personal items. These are small upgrades that could make the stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was a nice stay and I believe with a couple of adjustments, it could be excellent.

• Patrick (4/5): Vakantiegevoel gesaboteerd door app. - Hoge punten voor het uitzicht: het terras is ruim, de golven beuken spectaculair tegen de kust en er staan genoeg terrasmeubelen om alle 5 de appartementen tegelijk te bedienen. Dat deel voelt als een postkaart. Het zwembad is mini en bovendien zo ongelukkig gepositioneerd dat de kap het zeezicht blokkeert. Appartement Manuel is op zich prima: gezellig, ruim, er hangen hier en daar wat zaken en schuiven los, maar cava. de digitale nachtmerrie vóór aankomst. Je wordt overspoeld met berichten om de Hoomvip-app te installeren en je creditcard te koppelen aan nóg een andere website. In tijden van scams voelt dat allesbehalve comfortabel. Waarom dit niet gewoon automatisch regelen zoals bij letterlijk elke andere accommodatie? Betalen? Ja hoor… maar de knop verschijnt pas enkele dagen voor aankomst. Staat nergens vermeld. Meerdere keren gevraagd, telkens een automatisch antwoord. Menselijk contact: 404 error page not found. De absolute afknapper: die Hoomvip-app. Onpersoonlijk, traag en allesbehalve gastvrij. Ze mogen beweren dat “iedereen dat goed vindt”, maar spoiler: wij niet. En de andere gasten hier ook niet. De app werkt pas écht als je ter plaatse bent, vastlopen is dagelijkse kost en het openen/sluiten van deuren duurt elke keer een kleine minuut. Tegen de derde dag voel je je meer IT-support dan vakantieganger. Bonus: elke ochtend een penetrante urinegeur in het toilet. Uiteraard gemeld, opnieuw automatische antwoorden. Verrassend? Vind je niet. Conclusie: We zijn al vaak in Spanje en op de Canarische Eilanden geweest, maar zóveel gedoe hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt. Wij zoeken een warme, persoonlijke vakantiebeleving en geen hybride experiment waar een app belangrijker is dan de gast. Misschien zouden de hosts hun reactiesnelheid beter inzetten tijdens het verblijf zelf, in plaats van die pas na afloop op mijn Google-review te tonen. Dat had ons verblijf een stuk aangenamer gemaakt.

• ben (8/5): Ditch the app. Magical place. - Cosy, clean room with wonderful, very special shared terrace. Magical. Eufemia room The App!!! The app and other communication seems to favour the ease and convenience of the host rather than the guest. When we eventually accessed our room we found we could not then get out!.. the app seemed to try activate the lock but didnt open it. Trying to contact hosts with my wife starting to panic we just got an auto response saying our issue had been escalated!. Eventually got door open after a bit of physical intervention and found latch to be rusty, after a bit of a clean and lubricated with olive oil it seemed to work better, but always caused anxiety. The host did get in touch but we had escaped by then. Weirdly we had to use app to get out every time but after leaving you could get back in without, having to seperately lock door on app when leaving, we found this out when another couple just walked into our room.. (luckily I had just put my pants on) having their own trouble finding/accessing their own room. Note, you can climb out of the window if needed. If the hosts ditched the app in favour of physical key and perhaps met guests personally I would have rated this place a 10, even with the ants.
• Wolfgang (9/5): - Die außergewöhnlich schöne große Terrasse hat uns begeistert. Gemeinschaftsräume sind sehr urig und passend zum Haus. Unser Zimmer Eufemia hatte ein Fenster zum Patio, nicht direkt mit Meerblick. Dafür war es besonders ruhig und für uns kein Problem. Wir durften auf Nachfrage auch schon etwas früher ins Zimmer um die Koffer abzustellen. In das Zimmer bzw. In die Anlage kommt man nur über eine App. War etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig hat aber bestens funktioniert. Kleiderschrank ist im Badezimmer. Beim Duschen wird es feucht im Raum - nicht so günstig. Oberfenster ist aber vorhanden.

El Golfo ist tagsüber voller Besucher und abends ist alles leer. Man braucht unbedingt ein Auto und sollte zeitig essen gehen Nichts
• Carolyn (4/5): Uncomfortable experience that's not worth the money - Great view of the ocean and sunset. Very bad value for money. The room is smaller than most hotel rooms. Much smaller than pictured online. Very uncomfortable. Wooden seats without backs and without cushions, and uncomfortable beds. Emails exchanged with the hosts implied that they were more concerned about their own convenience and money-making then about guest experience and comfort. We couldn't wait to move to our next rental on Lanzarote; I'm happy to report the 2nd rental was WAY better and more comfortable (and less expensive).

• David (7/5): Preciosa terraza - Buena ubicación con terraza comunitaria al mar y piscina, decoración muy bonita Poca luz dentro del apto q daba a un patio interior ( apto Eufemia), había otros dos con más luz pq daban a terraza comunitaria. La decoración era bonita pero sobraban muebles q entropecen rodear la cama o q te tropezabas al salir del WC con el esquinero, el espacio de habit es ajustado. Eche en falta en la cocina una balleta,el resto de enseres muy completo. El sistema de abertura del apto y complejo un tanto complicado, tienes q bajarte la App y nos costó un rato poder entrar. Le envié varios mensajes al propietario por WhatsApp y no me respondió....

La terrasse partagée est splendide avec les vagues au pied de la propriété, la petite piscine parfaite et le coucher du soleil le soir. La literie du logement (studio) est top, le quartier est calme avec le bruit des vagues Espace parfait pour 2. 🤩😍 Rien

• LORELLA (8/5): Bella casa rurale affacciata sul mare - Si tratta di una antica tipica casa, con un bellissimo spazio esterno comune, che affaccia sul mare. La casa è poi stata suddivisa in 4 appartamenti, ognuno con caratteristiche differenti. Il nostro è dotato di una bella cucina, completa anche di lavastoviglie e con una bella macchina per il caffè espresso. Il bagno con doccia molto comoda, stanza da letto dalle dimensioni ridotte, ma comunque piacevole. La zona, rispetto ad altre della bellissima isola di Lanzarote, non mi ha molto soddisfatto, anche se nelle immediate vicinanze si trova lo scenografico lago verde.
• Juor_zazo (7/5): Si buscas tranquilidad y vistas es ideal para ti - La ubicación es idílica si lo que buscas es tranquilidad, despertarte viendo el mar y disfrutar más de los paisajes volcánicos ya que abundan por esa carretera. Tienes muy cerquita la laguna verde y los hervideros. Hay varios restaurantes pero nosotros nos movíamos mucho con el coche para tener más opciones. También tienes una cocinita si decides comprar y cocinar, lo que da mucha comodidad. Al principio lo de abrir y cerrar las puertas con la app es un poco jaleo, y no tienes a nadie allí para preguntar. Luego es verdad que le pillas el truco y no es tan complejo. Lo que no me gustó fue tener que esperar hasta las 15h para poder entrar al alojamiento, cuando además me habían insinuado por Whatsapp que el apartamento llevaba cerrado unos días y querían airearlo antes de nuestra estancia. Para mi sorpresa, cuando entramos, el baño estaba algo más sucio de lo que me gustaría. La mampara de la ducha estaba manchada y el lavabo lleno de arena.

• Mary (10/5): This is a lttle haven is out of the wind. The hotel oozes history & happy memories. - Andres made key collection so easy. He was always at the end of whatsapp to tell us lovely stuff about his grandparents home. Also there to give us help with logistics, restaurant recommendation (best of the trip). He was so friendly & helpful. I loved the old world charm of this place. It was very rustic. We were there in January so it was chilly & windy but you could sit in the lovely sunroom, see the sea & the sun, have your breakfast or sundowner. The bedroom itself had real character, some lovely old world features, like a round window. It was bright & airy. The kitchen was lovely & old fashioned too with lovely wooden beams & cupboards. & yet the bathroom suite was very modern with rainforest walk in wet room/shower. Really nothing. Maybe a few more cups!!
• Christer (8/5): Beautiful Place but Several Service Shortcomings - The place is absolutely wonderful, and there's really not much more to add—everything exceeded our expectations. All the emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages, and notifications from Booking.com were overwhelming—definitely too much. The mandatory tourist document required before arrival was unnecessarily complicated, even more so than entering the USA. The room was cold, with no heater available. There was also no water provided for the 'free' coffee, and the room wasn't cleaned during our three-day stay.
• Atsvetkov (8/5): Fantastic location for watching amazing sunsets every night - Location is just unbelievable, right next to the ocean shore. Daily sunset watching, first row seats. Walking distance to several restaurants, easy parking, good enough kitchen. Responsive host (via Whatsapp). Bathroom had a sewer smell on the first day, then it was gone. Boiler is solar-powered, meaning it takes forever for the water to warm up (taps aren't marked, so we had to consult the host to figure out how to get a hot shower). Bathroom is a bit run-down. For several days there were key/lock issues, we couldn't open the front door and had to use workarounds. Beware: tiny ants everywhere.

The communal sitting area was nice making up for the lack of ‘lounge’ in the apartment.Excellent info and communication with owners. Thought the dishwasher was not relevant as there was limited crockery, pots and pans and glassware. A washing machine either private or communal would be more useful.

I would recommend this place. I was disappointed that the room itself had finally no sea view since it was not possible to open the window nor the louvers. Moreover it means no natural light in the room and less fresh air.

• Marion (8/5): Beautiful location. - Supurb locaton. Comfortable room with kitchen and bathroom. Exceptional patio from which to watch the wild sea crashing on the rocks. Though there are 5 apartments here, there is a lot of communal space and often you have it to yourself. Sink plug in the bathroom didnt work. The fridge door bracket was broken, so you couldn't put bottles in the door as they fell out. The light over the cooker was broken.

• Luigi (9/5): Superb - We already came here twice and we will come back again. The terrace is in front of the sea the house has all you need in the small village of El Golfo. It is ideal if you want to relax far from the crowd. Nearby there are also good restaurants to have some fresh fish. Driving does not take to long to do to Yaiza, la Geria or Playa blanca. Parking is not a problem, owner is very reactive and nice. It is an old family sea house renewed, so it is "rural" and might not be fore everybody (e.g. if you want a luxurious place).

Drains smelt quite a lot so had to keep window closed & air conditioner didn’t work very well.

• Félicien (10/5): Exceptional - The location is absolutely gorgeous. Out of this world view. Simply put you face a beautiful beach. Very quite, very calm.
• Diane (10/5): An amazing stay in a beautiful place ! - It is perfectly located. The roads make it very accessible to visit the whole Island. The view is breathtaking, and the flat has everything you need even to cook. Andres is very available. We had an amazing time ! The studio is outside of the terrasse so you always need the key, and we only had one key, it would be better to have two. We would recommend to redo the joints of the shower to avoid water flooding the bathroom. Just a bit of information the restaurants in the village close around 9:30 pm so remember to plan an early evening :)
