- Marília (6/5): Bom, mas não vale o preço. - Gostei da cama e das instalações das areas em comum, como piscina, espreguiçadeiras, acesso à praia. A praia é ótima pra fazer snorkel. As toalhas eram péssimas, velhas, uma chegou até rasgar. O box do banheiro vazava e inundava o banheiro todo, a cortina blackout do quarto também estava quebrada e entrava sol na nossa cara pela manhã. As comidas do hotel são péssimas e mal preparadas, para um país como o México, onde você come bem em qualquer lugar, do mais simples ao mais luxuoso, foi decepcionante. Para um hotel que é novo, também ficamos impressionados como algumas partes já estavam muito velhas, quebradas e precisando de manutenção. Já me hospedei no Westin da Cidade do México e a experiência tinha sido ótima, não esperava que seria assim no de Cozumel.

- jojomaas (8/5): We will be back! - We stayed at the Westin for 10 days. I want to first say the staff was amazing! Fucundo was the best bartender always smiling! Jorge and Hilario were also great! The beach waiters Fernando and Axel were attentive and worked so hard. We were there over Easter week so there were more family and kids which was not ideal. The adult only rooftop pool was a nice retreat and when parents tried to bring their kids the bartenders were great about not allowing it. Beach chairs (especially umbrellas) were harder to get especially on days they allow cruise people to have day passes. Get your chair early and put more than a towel down. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a few issues with the AC the week we stayed. And pro tip if you like hot showers turn the shower on at least 5 minutes in advance. The food was good but with only 2 restaurants to choose from did get a little boring. The wine list (for a fee) was frustrating. It took 5 tries before I found a bottle I wanted that they actually had. The all inclusive package does not include top shelf liquor. So your vodka is Stoli and Absolut, bourbon is Jack, tequila is Jose and Don (which was great). Tito’s was considered top shelf (smh). For my fellow scuba divers. The Pro Dive onsite experience was not ideal! They wouldn’t tell you if they had a dive for the next day until the afternoon before so twice we were scrambling to find a dive in town. Next time I will schedule all my dives in town with either Scuba Life or Cozumel divers.

- PamA120 (10/5): Another great week at Westin Cozumel - We had another great week at The Westin Cozumel. We travelled via Air Canada from March 22 - 29, 2026. We have been multiple times to Cozumel & this is our third time @ the Westin. We love this hotel because it is a very short distance from the airport & is small is comparison to other resorts on the island. It is also a short taxi ride to the main town & square. We were given room 912 which is a beautiful room on the north corner of the building. Make sure you get a room with a balcony so you can witness the spectacular views and the most amazing sunsets. Our room had a comfortable king bed, plenty of hot water & robes. Special thanks to Joseph & Rosendo for the special attention they gave us when having dinner @ both Gaviotas & Cuzamil restaurants. Thanks to Vickie at the pool bar for her excellent service. Thanks to Osvaldo in the lobby bar for making amazing martinis & special shooters for our fun loving group. Can't wait to come back

Martin always helping on the beach probably the most hardworking and valuable employee on the beach. Everyone was fantastic. The fish and dock, beach, snorkling are incredible.

Restaurants offer multiple choices at a fair price. Concierge is spot on and taxis are readily available for quick trips into town.

From outstanding reservations at fantastic restaurants, to setting us up with our own on call driver van driver Chuy, to making life easy and flexible at every turn. We had the presidential suite and the front desk was very lack luster with helpful accommodations but everything we needed Fernando single handedly took care of without any hassles ever. He is normally at the taxi stand and if you work with him your trip will be outstanding. Thank you Fernado for making this such a memorable trip!

I followed up more than once and was ignored. After that I started getting different stories. One person says the charge is non refundable. Another says it is from a rate change. No one can give a straight answer and no one will provide a real breakdown of the charges. Customer service has been just as bad. Emails go unanswered. When they do respond they get basic details wrong including my name. It feels sloppy and disorganized from top to bottom. I made a good faith effort to figure this out ahead of time and got nothing. Then I get charged anyway for a stay that never happened. This is easily one of the worst experiences I have had with a hotel. It completely killed any trust I had in this property and honestly in Marriott as a whole. Stay somewhere else. This place is garbage.

We love the laid back, quiet atmosphere as well as the amazing snorkeling right off the beach. The staff works so hard to make sure you have a great vacation while you are there. Manuel deserves a special mention for his nonstop work by the pool and on the beach making sure everyone is taken care of with their food and drink orders. We can not wait to come back!

Both were excellent. We booked our day through resort pass and it was worth every penny. It includes all inclusive benefits. The food and service ar this resort is amazing. We will definitely be back and plan to book our next vacation here
- Okteacher1989 (8/5): 2 Weeks at the Westin's beach - We visited the Westin last December and decided to return for a 2 week stay. First I want to say we like it here and plan to return. I would like to address some of the issues we had and tell you about the parts we loved. I feel like that is what a review should be. Likes/loves- the room and the view, the beach, the pool, snorkeling, the restaurants and beach snack bar area, the service on the beach and at the pool. Things that need work and why I think this- -check in because they do not tell you about room service or how to get it. Also, that you need to make reservations everyday for the restaurants. It was very quick but felt like they left some things out. -reservation at the 2 restaurants because they seated us the first night and the second night they told us because we did not have a reservation that we would have to come back at a later time. This would have been ok but we were not told about reservations. At that point I started making a reservation daily. One day they made us a reservation to the restaurant but failed to tell us that one was closed that night. Another night we get to the restaurant that we reserved and they tell us we don’t have a reservation. They seated us after my husband got a bit angry about it. I think they should work on this system. We had several things that did not work in our room. I went down to the front desk to report them( I would have called but the phone was one of them). They quickly sent someone up and he fixed the tv remote and a cable on the phone. The keycard reader on the door was another issue. It took 5 visits but it was fixed as well. They are very prompt on fixing physical issues. The last issue is the charges to our credit card. We had multiple charges added to our card. 2 we agreed to an upgrade to a balcony room and an environmental fee. But… we had 5 more charges that ranged from $20 to $567. Mind you we we paid for the room ahead of time. We are still waiting for these charges to be removed. I truly believe they are working on it. The rooms and views, along with the service at the beach and pool are the gold stars at this resort. I recommend doing all inclusive it was worth it. We will miss Manuel’s service and smile when we get home.

You have 2 restaurant options and a 3rd one during the day where food and service are great but kitchen can get overwhelmed if too many people show up at the same time. Les hommes ont commandé un 2 ieme repas puisque le premier n’était pas très bon . Le deuxième repas n’était pas non plus apprécié. Moi j’ai commandé du porc pas assez cuit . Les enfants ont commandé des croquettes qui étaient à peine doré . La nourriture n’était pas bonne en plus du bruits du bar cela était difficile de se parler entre nous à la table. Dans ma chambre la poussière sur le ventilateur et à la sortie de climatiseur et brûlures de cigarette sur une des chaise cela était juste indigne d’un hôte à ce prix. Nous n’avons pas été capable de régler la climatisation alors il faisait très froid toute la nuit et avons eu de la difficulté à dormir. Il y avait un trou dans le mur . Les chaises de plage étaient brisées donc pas très confortable.Cela est tout simplement inacceptable. Nous avons voulu que les 2 enfants aillent s’amuser 1 heure sur Kids club et quand nous y sommes allés il y avait une dame avec un très jeune bébé qui en avait déjà plein les bras alors nos 2 petits fils ne sont pas restés puisque la surveillance était inadéquate en plus de ne rien avoir sur place à l’exterieur pour les distraire. Quand nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel il y avait une dame qui travaillait derrière au comptoir avec un très jeune bébé et c’est cette même dame qui s’occupait du Kids club !
- Juan Pablo (7/5): Loved the food, beach, but service is super slow. - food is really good, loved the view from my room. the beach was amazing, loved snorkeling with my kids. I didn´t give this hotel a higher score since they have a serious issue with time managing (people are very nice but service is suuuuuper slooow). For example, first l day we checked in, we had lunch on the Restaurant by the beach (I think it as Las Gaviotas), it took 3.5 hours from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we finished eating our food; and this was because they took forever to bring the food to our table. Even though the food was great, we were constantly having the same issues along the rest of our stay, and in all of the other restaurants. Also, we had an issue with room service: one day we went to our room at 6pm after a long day and they were in the process of cleaning our room even though we asked in the front desk early in the morning if they could help us get our room cleaned before noon, since it was new years eve and we needed to have our kids ready for a special dinner.

- Ronald (5/5): Management - please inspect your rooms and get them up to standards! - The property itself is great. Excellent views, beach area, and pool. the food on site was very good. The property is not up to the standard of what a Westin should be. Certainly not at $250 USD a night. It is more of the level of a $100 USD a night hotel. Simple maintenance things that should be discovered by the staff and addressed prior to my arrival. Items included holes in the wall that were patched, but not painted, ceiling fan that did not work, coffee machine missing parts, floor not mopped and clean, minibar empty with no product, no iron, no soap dish in the bathroom, no wash cloths, no toiletries, and the shower controls loose and not bolted to the walls. All were visual things that if team members had a check list of items to check, would have been corrected prior to my arrival. All of these were in room 1208. I brought them to the attention of the guest service manager who then moved us to room 1001. It too had deficiencies, the sink would not drain and there was a light fixture that was ready to fall from the ceiling, both of which maintenance quickly repaired. Also in that room, the telephone did not function and there was no room service menu. Again, all these things should be easily and visually identified by staff, but it seems that no one ever goes in and checks to see if the room is in order. Certainly not how a Westin operates.

The desk staff were largely unhelpful, lacked any empathy or concern and I had to push them to assist me, asking for a manager. The bedding was amazing and the view spectacular. The shower sucked. Low volume and low pressure. No glass - so the entire bathroom floor gets wet and floor slippery . Dangerous design. The family above us were loud and frequently moved furniture and it was like they were in our room.

When our room was finally ready we found it was an accessible room, not the room we reserved. The shower drain was clogged with standing water present. The shower floor was filthy with hair and other debris floating in the standing water. When we notified the front desk they did agree to switch our room if we would wait for another room to be cleaned. They offered no apologies nor compensation for the repeated delay. Do not book this hotel expecting Marriott standards.
- ErieSt (10/5): Relaxing Stay - Smaller hotel - great for just relaxing. Front desk staff were prickly but everyone else, especially the servers were terrific. The pool is 25m and great for swimming. The shampoo and conditioner in the rooms were excellent (but bring your own moisturizer from home). Room was gorgeous and the bed super comfortable. Snorkelling right out front was okay but there was a very strong current (south to north). Recommend fins and a snorkel marker. The best route we found was to head south edging the shore. Lots of small fish and rays and rocks and piers to explore. Once you pass Buccanos, swim out to the grassy open area and drift back. Saw several beautiful large sting rays on the return. Food was excellent - especially the habanero soup, hamburgers, guacamole, ribs, fries, caprese salad, and drinks. We did the snorkle tour with the hotel and it was pretty awful. Currents were too strong to really enjoy the reef and at the end felt like we were held hostage in the boat for tips 50 yards away from the pier. We were going to tip anyway but this made everything very uncomfortable. Here are the fish we saw around the hotel: Yellow stingrays, Bermuda rays, needlefish stingrays, barracuda, parrotfish, tangs, cowfish, trumpetfish, pufferfish, wrasse, jacks, Chubb. The coffee is on the weak side but it was nice to watch the sunrise from our balcony every morning. We left cash tips, versus adding it to our “bills”. No issue with any room charges when we checked out. Overall very relaxing and we even enjoyed the 5km walk to Cozumel.

The apartments are spacious, cozy, and clean, and offer a beautiful sea view. Overall, our stay at the hotel was good. It is a very compact and lovely place. However, there were some areas that we feel could be improved. The main hotel restaurant, despite the beautiful sea view, looks less than basic inside. Some tables were unstable, and during breakfast they were sometimes not clean. This creates an impression of a low-quality place and affects the overall aesthetic of the hotel. For us, the restaurant and food is an important part of the holiday experience, so we preferred to eat at restaurants near the port.

The resort is very chill and nothing going on which was ok but would have preferred a little bit of entertainment. The beach staff, Vicky and Alex work so hard and also the pool snack bar staff. The restaurants are ok, we got a bit tired of the menu. We had the all inclusive option which is definitely worth it. 150 pesos taxi into town or around 1 hour walk. The beach area is lovely but not enough beds at all. But all round we really enjoyed our stay here
- L7509FEkarenh (10/5): A little gem in Cozumel - We arrived here just after 7pm and had a smooth check-in, with enough time to settle in and go to dinner. There are 2 restaurants on site and a lobby bar. We were all inclusive and the standard of the drinks included was good. I have to say that the staff at the Westin were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I'd like to give a special mention to Carmen, who greeted us the first night and we saw her most days either at breakfast or dinner, with her lovely smile. Adrian, was an excellent waiter, with good attention to detail and Wilder the barman who served some fantastic cocktails; the chocolate martini was outstanding. This is quite a small hotel when compared to others in Mexico and was probably only 1/3rd occupied when we were there so the Cuzamil Italian restaurant was closed on a couple of occasions. This was our favourite of the 2 and the quality of the food served was very good. Breakfast was buffet style but there was a great choice of dishes and lunch could be served either at the Mexican restaurant or at the pool bar . I would definitely return to this hotel but a car is recommended as there isn't much around it; having said that a taxi to downtown was only 150 pesos from outside the hotel, which is around £7. I also have to mention the staff who cleaned the rooms as each day there was some amazing towel art, which added a sense of fun to our stay. Thanks to all the hardworking staff who made our week here one to remember.
- Getaway04226018507 (8/5): Great location to relax, not a fit to luxury Westin brand identity to set the right expectations - Location and its atmosphere is great. This is our 4th year here and the building is getting old and requires significant upgrade; HVAC systems are too loud, elevator is unpredictable, water pressure drops significantly late afternoon, all wooden frames around doors are rotted and provides access to insects. Restaurant menus are decent but it becomes boring if you stay more than 3-4 days. The service was excellent especially at the Cozumil Restaurant and wait staff Ananias, Roberto and Vicky. Breakfast is mediocre compared to European style hotel buffets and very similar to what you get in lower segment hotels in US, sliced cheese and bacon. No consideration for Mediterranean, Indian and Middle Eastern customers. Outages with certain food items and drinks show that hotel management and its supply chain have major gaps. Closing the pool for a day due to a bee hive under a chair and firefighters showing up in for a rescue mission was hilarious.
- 362dering (8/5): A sea of sweet with a very small drop of sour - The location of the hotel is magnificent and the property is much better than the other hotels in the north region of Cozumel, as far as what I saw through walks on the beachside. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing and vibrant which is exactly what you expect from a resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Virginia and Alex from beachside service who really made the time by the beach enjoyable through their awesome service. Margarita and Angel at Las Gaviotas were also very nice and professional. However, by far the most exceptional service was from Ananias, Roberto and Jorge Miguel at Cuzamil Restaurant who were very attentive, funny and professional all at the same time. The rooms were good but there was some problems with the water from the shower head as it was too slow and the AC would start randomly without us doing anything. The manager at Las Gaviotas for breakfast and lunch was very rude and was definitely the most disappointing part of the trip.

We have stayed here many times and this will probably be the last time.

L'hôtel n'était occupé que de 40% cette semaine, il y avait une alternance entre les deux restaurants où nous avons pu prendre nos repas. Les plats étaient délicieux , le personnel très attentionné. Plats italiens pour l'un et Mexicain moderne pour l'autre. Le petit déjeuner au bord de l'eau était parfait, Mexicain, Américain/Européen. La plage nous a surpris, nous y avons plus de poissons au Westin que lors de nos 2 tours (Cielo/Cielito/etc Punta Sur etc) que je conseille de faire. Les boisons étaient très bien préparé, je recommande le cocktail de Camarones Difficile à dire, rien , j'espère que le Westin gardera son niveau, nous voulons y revenir. - Okteacher1989 (10/5): Relaxing Break - My husband and I tried for the first time The Westin all inclusive. We have been to Cozumel many times at all inclusive resorts. This is our new favorite. The check in and out was quick and simple with no time share trickery. The resort was small and beautiful. All, and I do mean all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially Gilberto at the front desk. Our room was on the 9th floor. It was on the smallish side but perfect. Clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The view was amazing. Each day it was cleaned and replenished to our liking. My only complaint, if you can really complain, was it was cold. I know right. This never happens in Mexico. We had to daily turn off the AC to warm it up. The pool was nice and never too busy. The water was very cold. The pool on the Sky Deck was beautiful. Both were maintained well. The beach was good. Plenty of chairs and great service from any chair. Last but not least the food. We are not foodies but have been burned recently in Cozumel at a different resort. The food was way above our expectations. Lots of choices and great tasting. We tried all options- both restaurants, snack area at the pool, and room service. We had good food in all the areas. We plan on returning to this resort and bring friends and family. W

With just two restaurants we got to know all the servers very well. They were the highlight of our vacation. They were always smiling and pleasant and patient with my husband's attempts to learn Spanish words. Loved breakfast and lunch at the Gaviotas Restaurant with servers: Xochiti, Paloma, Jorge, Margarita and Manuela. Dinners at Cuzamil with servers: Daniel, Meseros, Rosendo, Adrian, Ananias and Hilario. We shouldn't forget the beach servers: Alex, Virginia (Vicki) and Ferando. Our room was always cleaned promptly and beautifully. I should mention that this was our 3rd visit. Although there have been many changes since our first visit, we are never disappointed and believe we get a great deal every time.

When I booked the snorkel tour, the girl at the tour desk confirmed that it would last approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. However, it took us 6 hours total because of their pre-planned pickup and drop-off route, which they never disclosed until the agent at the desk dropped the clanger the next day. In addition, the supervisor was very rude and dishonest when I made my complaint.

The scenery is truly gorgeous—every view feels like a postcard. The staff made our stay even more unforgettable. Belem and Carmen, in the restaurant made us feel like family. They were so warm, welcoming, and genuine that you can’t help but love them. Down at the beach, Virginia (“Vicki”) was super happy, super attentive, and took wonderful care of us all day. Her energy made relaxing by the ocean even better. Another very kind and caring staff member. From the front desk, housekeeping staff, wait staff all the employees were so helpful and seem genuinely happy to be at the Westin Cozumel which makes for a very comfortable stay. Kudos to management. Beautiful views paired with such amazing people made this one of our favorite vacations ever. Highly recommend!

- Hoschbert79 (6/5): Never again a US hotel chain - We decided to spend the second half of our holiday on Cozumel and chose the Westin, which turned out to be a bad decision. The pictures looked great and the reviews—probably mostly written by US guests—seemed fine, but the reality could not have been further from what was advertised. The hotel must have hired an excellent photographer, because the images on all the booking platforms look amazing, while the actual property looks worn, tired, and in urgent need of renovation. A repair team seems to be wandering through the hotel at all times, constantly patching and fixing something, giving the impression that the last proper revamp happened decades ago. To be fair, there are some positive aspects. All rooms come with sea-view balconies, and the rooms themselves are spacious. However, the balconies are equipped with only two tiny chairs and a small table, hardly inviting for sitting outside and enjoying the scenery. The pool area is small but nicely designed and easy to oversee, which worked well for the kids. There is direct access to the sea for swimming, and the beach is pleasant for toddlers to play. Breakfast and dining come with direct sea views—wonderful in principle—but there are myriads of wasps around the tables, making relaxed eating nearly impossible at times. One genuinely positive highlight is that the hotel serves surprisingly high-quality liquor, far better than what we expected based on the rest of the experience. The staff is friendly—though I still suspect much of the friendliness is driven by tips rather than genuine hospitality—and service at the sunbeds, both by the pool and on the beach, is convenient. The location is also practical: the hotel is only a 10-minute taxi ride from San Miguel and the ferry terminal, costing about 10 USD each way. Unfortunately, these positives do not outweigh the serious shortcomings. The biggest disappointment remains the food. Apart from a few decent dishes at the snack bar and the lunch/dinner restaurant, the overall quality is substandard. The entire offering is clearly focused on US clients who seem to have no taste at all. Everything is deep fried, there are almost no snack bar options without fries, and dishes are either drowned in low-quality cheese or floating in buttery sauces. We constantly found ourselves longing for the excellent, authentic food we enjoyed at our previous hotel—something entirely missing here. What annoyed us as well was that the door cards sometimes needed 10 attempts or more to open the door. On top of that, the hotel’s version of all-inclusive is extremely annoying. While we were used to simply grabbing a beer, cocktail, or snack in our previous hotel, here everything is meticulously documented. Waiters chase you endlessly for signatures, obviously hoping for tips, and the whole process feels unnecessarily complicated and awkward. Sustainability also seems to be a concept the hotel has never heard of. It feels like being thrown back into the Stone Age—or, frankly, like being in the US. Plastic bottles and cans everywhere, ketchup and mustard in tiny single-use plastic sachets instead of dispensers, and takeaway coffee cups with plastic lids. It’s really a shame to see such outdated, wasteful practices still in place. In short, this experience has convinced us never again to book a US hotel chain. This was far from a five-star stay, and certainly not a place we would return to. We even left the hotel two nights earlier to have a proper finish of our holidays.

The pictures looked great and the reviews—probably mostly written by US guests—seemed fine, but the reality could not have been further from what was advertised. The hotel must have hired an excellent photographer, because the images on all the booking platforms look amazing, while the actual property looks worn, tired, and in urgent need of renovation. A repair team seems to be wandering through the hotel at all times, constantly patching and fixing something, giving the impression that the last proper revamp happened decades ago. However, the balconies are equipped with only two tiny chairs and a small table, hardly inviting for sitting outside and enjoying the scenery. - 428kelleyr (6/5): Won’t Return to this Hotel - The Good Beautiful property with great outdoor area-snorkeling nice pool restaurants. Views from every room. Rooftop bar gorgeous views. Lobby bar was good service. Pool servers were great. The bad: Hotel lobby and our room smelled of mildew. They heavily try to cover with bleach but it doesn’t work. First impression is the smell. Food is average and overpriced. Some of the service was super slow. The unacceptable: Front desk manager and his lady assistant were combative over dumb things. We watched the manager with complaining guests every day of our stay. A lot of it appears lack of training in the staff and the manager being stubborn and needing to feel right. In our case we asked for a room change due to mildew smell. We were denied but instead of saying as soon as another room comes open we will get that done-the assistant lady flat out told us no- but maybe check back Tuesday (it was Saturday). Just lack of communication training. You always find a way to say yes and put the burden on the worker not the hotel guest who’s paying thousands to stay at your hotel. Then we got room service and they forgot our Flan but charged for it. No big deal right? The front desk lady refused to remove the charge (mind you we’ve already spent thousands at the hotel by this time) and we had to go to the manager the next day. He again argued that he could not take it off -(prob cost the hotel all of $1.00) and said because we signed (not having opened the food containers delivered yet) we could not get a refund. My husband said “surely at a hotel like the Westin you don’t have people trying to steal Flan” making a joke —-but he said back “yes we do” He was laughable. He finally removed the charge but the impression they both made on us is terrible. Overall For me-the mildew smell was overwhelming and so disappointing to walk into expecting the smell of a nice Westin hotel. For my husband-it was the unfriendly and unhelpful front desk staff. If they remodeled the lobby and opened it up to air-get that smell out-and went in and fixed their mildew problems in the rooms -and trained the front desk staff properly- this property would be fantastic. As is we won’t return -we’ll try another hotel on the island next time.

- williamhZ291NN (10/5): Amazing Restaurant on Site at Gaviotas - We spent a week here and really enjoyed our stay. The highlight of our trip besides the snorkeling off shore was the food at the Gaviotas Restaurant. The staff for breakfast and dinner were exceptional and remembered us daily. The restaurant served unique Caribbean and Mexican dishes. Our final night was made extra special by Israel, Manuela, Rosendo, Josep, and Mari with a unique dessert celebrating the end of our visit - complete with a firey display. We really enjoyed our visit and will recommend to anyone looking for a nice all inclusive quiet resort in Cozumel with excellent food and service.
- Z2436SHtanial (10/5): Quiet and Relaxing - My fiance and I stayed for 5 days at the Westin and it was so peaceful. Elena and Mauricio at the front desk were patient and kind in explaining everything to us (new to all inclusive). The Italian restaurant was perfectly fine, and the Mexican restaurant was great. Mexican restaurant is also where breakfast is served, and I swear les last twice as long there because you are RIGHT on the water and there are so many fish and birds to watch. Our room on the ninth floor was completely quiet, the view to the east across the jungle was breathtaking. On the way down to breakfast the first day, I mentioned that my bedside lamp was missing a light bulb. By the time we got back up after breakfast, it had already been fixed. The rooftop pool is heavenly, and we liked being able to snorkel right off the beach. It's not a vibrant reef, but there are absolutely fish and conch. Easy to catch a taxi into town $10 US, easy to catch a ride back out to the hotel. We would stay here again with question.
- hilaryh59 (10/5): Amazing First Visit to Cozumel - Very friendly staff, especially in the Gaviotas restaurant. Manuela (dinner) and Jorge (breakfast) are very nice and remembered us each day. King bed plus balcony was great - spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and the balcony was a nice hangout spot from early morning until about 2 pm in the shade. Stocked fridge. We did the all inclusive package and really enjoyed our time - meals and drinks are pretty much always available somewhere and room service is 24/7 with a small additional fee. The highlight for us was the beach and snorkeling right off shore. We brought our own snorkel gear and went almost every day during our stay. Put in at the beach, swim slightly south, then turn around and float north to the next resort. You can get out there walk along the beach back to the Westin and see tons of reef and fish! Yellow stingrays, puffer fish, needle fish, etc can be found here.

Our room was kept spot less and we were treated like Royal guests by Dulce in housekeeping . Dulce is an asset to the Westin Cozumel chain. I highly recommend this resort do to her high quality service and special attention to details. Dulce made our stay so nice each day she came to our room with her pleasant smile and sweet attitude. - loripJ6772VR (8/5): The staff makes up for the stuff I could overlook - The location, room and staff were all superb! We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the beach, pool, and exceptional staff. Damian (front desk) helped us multiple times from the moment we’ll arrived. Fernando (bellman) went out of his way to accommodate, give directions and get us taxis. The wait staff in the restaurant were fabulous Vanessa greeted us at every meal, and our various waiters - Rosendo, Adrian, Anancis, Martin and Roberto are true stewards in the craft of guest service. The room was great, but somehow there must be a shortage of towels at the hotel because getting them was a struggle and the ones they have are quite ragged and paltry. And if you’re a wash cloth type of person, well, those are not available at all. The spa is mediocre. Sara and Nadine were fantastic masseuse. But the spa itself was bare minimum with no amenities to speak of. Again, a towel shortage and the robes were fit for a Motel 8, not a Westin. (And you couldn’t leave with your spa robe to go back to your room - say what?!) The food is average. They’re doing their best considering everything must be imported. We did the all-inclusive and feel that was the best value. All in all, a pleasant experience and if we were to return to Cozumel, we would return to the Westin.

Our experience at The Westin in Mexico was truly elevated by the incredible team who went above and beyond to make us feel valued and cared for. We had MANY mishaps with our room due to housekeeping , Javier stepped in immediately to ensure everything was handled smoothly to the best of his ability. His professionalism, empathy, and follow-through turned our situation around and made us feel genuinely cared for. A special shout-out to Jorge from the lobby bar, who was warm, attentive, and made each interaction a pleasure. His energy and hospitality made our evenings extra enjoyable. We also want to recognize Captain Jorge Moguel, who was the sweetest and ensured we had the most beautiful dinner experience, compliments of Chef Daniel and our wonderful server Rosendo. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made the evening unforgettable ..the kind of service that truly embodies the spirit of The Westin. Housekeeping left a bad taste for me and the inconsistency with the premium bar and what was available was frustrating. I will say the dining staff’s dedication to hospitality turned our stay into a five-star experience. We’re so grateful to the entire dining team and management for making sure we left feeling appreciated and well cared for.

The spa is beautiful, clean and upscale. My massage therapist, Giuliani, was absolutely incredible, she was extremely attentive, skilled, and thoughtful throughout the entire session. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend booking with Giuliani if you’re visiting Cozumel!

Resort has acceptable options but we were expected to pay extra out of pocket and when we chose one of those options, we were told to pay cash although we had a card on file. Wife got hurt on an uneven entrance way from the patio area to the marble floor entrance to the lobby. Manger on duty told me we were on our own to take care of her. Had to go to the hospital. Lastly, the the hotel posted my incidental credit card hold fee as a debit.

Our housekeeper Teresa was incredible and our room was immaculate with floors cleaned and cute towel animals. We also used the spa and it was good. Will note they add a mandatory service fee on top of the advertised price (and tax). Didn't have to fight for chairs by the beach which was also nice.
