Guest Reviews
- NANCY (9/5): Relaxing and comfortable. - The convenience of the location. The peacefulness and cleanliness of the place. Lack of hangers. Only had 2. There isn’t an actual closet just a post type set up ( which is kind of cool but slightly in the way).
- Rothbauer (9/5): Nice place - Comfortable location. Room adjacent to lobby/entry and walls were not sound resistant.
- Scott (6/5): Average - Comfortable and clean room. Walks very thin. The stairwell was very noisy as was the floor above us. The motel ambiance is lacking. Breakfast just ok
- Lynn (7/5): - Location of the Inn. Walkable to downtown and BHOF. Room was dark and cold.
- Chad (10/5): The staff was fantastic, walking distance to town. Great experience - Great room. Fantastic staff Couldn’t get AC to work
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Karlo (8/5): Great place to stay when visiting the Baseball hall of fame. - Good location and plenty of space in the loft. No coffee pot or microwave in the room, available in the lobby.
- John (10/5): Extremely cozy spot. Sheets and towels smelled clean and fresh. The room was updated and modern in a great spot for sigh - Very clean. Quiet.

- Clarice (10/5): - We absolutely LOVE this place!! It has become a tradition for us to stay here every year now for New Years Eve. It a short walk into town for dinner & some celebration drinks.
- Roseanne (10/5): - The accommodation and hospitality shown to us especially during the snow storm 💯
- Cara (10/5): The staff were amazing. The property was cozy and clean, and they always have the snack bar, fully stocked complementary - The property was absolutely adorable quiet and quaint very inviting There is absolutely nothing that I didn’t love about this property
- Nesta (10/5): Wonderful! - Clean and comfortable It would’ve been better if snacks/breakfast had more variety
- Nesta (10/5): -
- Erin (9/5): Definitely - Easy access, convenient location, fairly spacious and has a lovely free snack/breakfast bar. Only complaint was the room was pretty dim. It was hard to do anything in the evenings that wasn’t involving a screen.
- Abbott (10/5): - The Inn was warm and inviting. The young lady and young man working there were kind and helpful. My wife and I loved the Christmas decor and our room. Thank you. Everything was great.
- Irina (10/5): Wonderful experience. The hotel was cozy, conveniently located with great room and friendly staff - Excellent room, friendly staff, great snacks throughout the day.
- Korducavich (10/5): Always a perfect place to stay. - Excellent hotel. It is located conveniently close to town and is extremely clean and well-kept. All staff we met were incredibly friendly and helpful. This was our second time staying with The Railroad Inn. Nothing
- Bruce (10/5): Railroad Inn - Very clean and comfortable room. Great location and price. It was a little noisy when guests on the second floor walked around.
- JOHN (9/5): - Friendly staff. Charming place. Lame breakfast 😕
- Michael (9/5): Nice clean place in a nice little town - Clean , walkable to restaurants and baseball hall of fame
- Jane (10/5): Great hotel, big rooms, nice people, easy access to downtown. - Our room was big and nice. The English woman who welcomed us was very friendly. It would have been nice to have a screen on our window as we wanted to cool down the room by opening the window but there was no screen.
- Wonwoo (9/5): -
- James (9/5): Comfortable place to stay very close to the heart of Cooperstown attractions. - The Railroad Inn is a great renovated inn on the edge of Cooperstown within a short 10 minute walk of Main St attractions and restaurants. The room is very comfortable. The Inn has a small public lobby as well as outdoor covered porch and another outdoor sitting area adjacent to the parking lot. The decor is about trains with an industrial look/feel. The help yourself breakfast bar is available 24/7 and has coffee, snacks, water, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and bagels. The location is quiet and the Cooperstown Distillery is only a 2 minute walk away. We had a great 2 day off season visit.
- Chris (10/5): - The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. The hotel itself smells nice and clean. We’ve stayed there several times and have never been disappointed.
- Jim (10/5): - This boutique Inn was very nice and the staff pleasant and helpful.
- Lynne (10/5): - Awesome Inn!
Highly recommend.
Very clean, easy check-in, room was so spacious with 2 full baths. Great for families.
- Dolan (10/5): -
- Laura (10/5): - Very quaint. Staff was so nice!!
- Elaine (10/5): - Extremely clean friendly staff.
- Kyla (10/5): Great experience - Room was clean and staff was so kind.
- Kelsey (10/5): - We loved staying at the Railroad Inn for a weekend in Cooperstown! The service was excellent, the room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed, and the location was great. We’d definitely stay here again!
- Trace (8/5): - A nice comfortable stay that looked to be recently renovated. The hallway floor sounded hollow underneath but fortunately I was at the end of the long hallway and someone walking only woke me up once.
- Paul (10/5): - Room was very nice, and a very nice size. Had a great experience. I would recommend
- Irvin (7/5): - Decor was nice, bathroom spotless. Lovely restored old buildings and landscaped grounds. Friendly staff. Carpeting in room smelled like wet dog, and strangely perfumed sheets made it difficult to sleep. Could smell it on belongings when I got home after staying only one night. Bed high, making it difficult to get into.
- Sandra (10/5): - Very quaint and super comfortable!
- Patricia (10/5): - Convenient to all
- Garrett (10/5): - Best Inn “in” Cooperstown. Beautiful and clean room. Staff is amazing. Wife and I enjoyed our stay and will be back! Walkable to downtown.
- John (10/5): - Very nice
- Nicole (8/5): - Comfortable and relaxing!
- Skyela (10/5): - Perfect stay!! Convenient, quiet, friendly and clean. Bed is cozy. Highly recommend
- Christopher (10/5): - Clean, great atmosphere, close to main st.
- Scott (10/5): - Very charming
- Paul (10/5): - Very clean and taking care of
- Paul (9/5): -
- Chris (9/5): Charming and cosy inn - The room was extremely comfortable and quiet, in a slew of hotels it was the only one with silent Aircon. The location was ideal for a short walk into town, and onsite parking was handy.
- William (10/5): - Location
- Margarita (8/5): - Ridiculously expensive. They include breakfast which is packaged stuff… Very classy place, beautifully decorated, but simple room. Very easy access to Main Street, Double Day and Hall of Fame by walking.
- Charity (10/5): - Great stay, friendly staff.
- Richard (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating when asked for extra items in the room, such as hangers. Lite breakfast was good. Rooms were well furnished and excellent Wi-Fi.
- Ed (10/5): - Great
- Michael (6/5): Decent Hotel - There are no food options close by but there are some restaurants about a 10 minute walk. Parking is free but it is a gravel lot. The room and bathroom were clean but average. Surprisingly we had no closet but an odd contraption made of metal pipes and 4x4 timbers, with a couple of hangers. Complimentary breakfast was prepackaged pastries, coffee, juice and water. This hotel was an average hotel with a boutique hotel price tag. It was a decent stay but not for the price.
- Marty (10/5): Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms - Close to Main Street and easy to get to the little league park
- Joann (10/5): - Spot on place. High end.
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Micah (6/5): It was an ok stay! - When we arrived about an hour before check in we asked if we could check in and we were simply told none of the rooms were ready. We asked if there was an early check in option and it was a no. Not a “let me see if your room is ready and maybe we can accommodate.” It was just “no.”
The pillows were cheap. The kind of pillows that quickly go from semi comfortable to flat.
The sheets were completely unbreathable so you’d go from cold to sweating in a few minutes.
Room service never cleaned our room. We were there for 3 nights. Trash was never taken out, towels never replaced, bed never made.
The TV only had cable.
Separate from this, it was a really cute hotel. Staff was quite friendly separate from the check in experience. It was nice to have some simple free food in the lobby. The outside seating area and lawn were great! And the sandwich shop across the street was amazing.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): - Great place to stay! Nice and quiet. Very clean. Within walking distance from the Hall of Fame. Great outdoor area
- Beth (6/5): Pleasant - Walking distance to downtown Did not clean the rooms unless asked - toilet was tough to get to work
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Darice (10/5): Exceptional - Cool vibe, very clean, great price, and location. All was good.
- Nathanael (10/5): - This was a great stay for anyone visiting Cooperstown, and it was available kind of last minute.
- John (10/5): Half Marathon - This is a must stay if you are visiting the Baseball Hall of fame. Great place and nice coffee and snack bar. Came into town to run the half marathon
- Ryan (10/5): - The hotel was clean and the room was nice. The staff was extremely accommodating. Everything about the hotel was great. Close proximity to the Baseball Hall of Fame. When I return to Cooperstown I will definitly stay here again.
- Leslie (10/5): Happy to come back again! - Love the locale and the continental breakfast is a nice addition. Staff is always friendly.
- Terri (10/5): - Excellent all the way around. Three of us stayed in the suite with the extra loft space. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
- Laureen (10/5): Had a great stay and will be back again! - Excellent Location. Walkable to downtown.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (10/5): Perfect spot to stay! - The rooms are very modern and clean. Location is perfect, walking distance to Main St. and all of downtown as well as the HOF Museum. Nice lobby amenities for snacks and breakfast. The lady at the front desk was very kind, super friendly and did her best to figure out our Roku TV that we couldn’t get to connect to any live shows for news or sports. The Roku channels were just replaying outdated repeats of prior broadcasts. Other than that, highly recommend to stay here.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great base for visit to Cooperstown. 15 minute walk to central Cooperstown. Wonderful, friendly staff.
- greg (10/5): - Great property
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent location for MLB HOF and shops. Easy check in and check out. Very nice room. Always stay here when in Cooperstown.
- Kevin (10/5): - Loved Cooperstown, and the Railroad Inn is a big reason why!
- Explorer62481780517 (10/5): Highly Recommend - Quaint and spotless! We were happy with this choice for a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame! It is in walking distance to Main Street thru a lovely residential area. The staff is lovely. We will recommend to others and are looking forward to visiting again ourselves.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gloria (8/5): - Nice and clean. Very accommodating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - I typically stick with name brand hotels but the reviews were good and the location was perfect so I decided to take a chance on a two night stay. I was not disappointed as the staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations comfortable. It has a bit of a B&B feel as I made some new friends during breakfast. If you are planning a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame I’d highly recommend the Railroad Inn
- Colleen (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (10/5): - Always excellent!
- Karl (10/5): - Great location,excellent service
- Gregory (10/5): - Our stay at the Railroad Inn was great. Neat, clean rooms and friendly helpful staff.
- Martin (10/5): - I found this property last Fall when I was in town on short notice. Being a small businessman myself, I always try and support non franchise hotels when possible. The Railroad Inn looked good on Expedia so I took the chance. I loved it! Super accommodating staff when I needed late check in, and a clean room with a comfortable bed. When we decided to do a weekend in Cooperstown with friends, I remembered this place and brought it up. We stayed two nights and everyone loved it. The suite with the circular staircase was super cool. The staff AGAIN went over the top to accommodate our needs and everyone remarked how comfortable their beds were and how nice the rooms were. BRAVO Railroad Inn! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cooperstwon.
- Nicole (6/5): - There was a musty smell upon entering and 2 different hairs were found in the bathroom.
- mary (10/5): - What a truly unique and beautiful property! Very comfortable and convenient. The staff is wonderfully friendly.
- Claire (9/5): A wonderful respite during winter! - Convenient walk to town center. Quiet and serene.
- Departure00174294477 (10/5): Take the Train while in Cooperstown - Ample parking, a welcoming, warm decor, exceptional hospitality, a very comfortable bed. Even the deer we saw in the parking lot was comfortable. Love the train theme, there are beautiful photos, books and model trains placed about. The location is perfect to hit the best attractions here. I will return.
- Jean (6/5): - The location was excellent. Walking distance to Main Street.
The heat pump was on the roof above our room and kept us up all night
The room was warm and stuffy.
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Watkins distance to Hall of Fame and restaurants. Very clean. Distillery right across the street. Mel"s att 22 has great food.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - I loved the Railroad Inn! It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The walls were “thin” because you could hear everyone walking down the hallway and opening and closing of doors, And the street traffic outside was a little noisy. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too big, my head felt like it was way up high, just too firm, couldn’t get comfortable. Everything was very clean and well appointed.
- David (10/5): - This was an excellent property to stay at. Staff was friendly and helpful!
