- gian paolo (10/5): Tutto bello!
- azeroual (10/5): All was clean and quite 100% recommend , the staff was very helpful thank you 🙏 -
- Marie-Luise (8/5): -
- Jackie (10/5): Great riad - Great location. Very clean. Beautiful communal dining area. Kind hosts. Lighting could be better in the bathroom and bed a bit squeaky but nothing else!

- Cathrine (10/5): - Fantastico grazie Niente

- Michal (10/5): - Wspaniale urządzony, zadbany riad, niczym pałac. Pomocna i miła obsługa.
- NJ (9/5): - Very nice staff Room a bit small
- Valérie (8/5): -
- Eladio José (6/5): Ubicación buena. Habitaciones riad obsoletas. - Desayuno bueno.
- Panitra (10/5): - Fantastic family run riad that looked after us extremely well. They are friendly, kind and accomodating. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Very lovely and clean rooms with great air con. The only thing was there was only a thin sheet for a blanket on our bed but I am sure they would provide a blanket if we had asked!
- naoko (10/5): - My breath was stopped when I entered this Riad first. It’s so beautiful like museum.
- Domenico (8/5): Very good - Breakfast Was good, position also close to the most Important Place in Medina. Room good but a bit high with 2 children was not properly Easy..
- Ayfer (10/5): Pleasant - Location and achitecture was great… we had a big and comfortable room No
- Krystian (8/5): Clean rooms with good breakfast and a nice view on medina. - The service should open windows in the room to let the fresh in before welcoming the guests. There should be some blankets for colder nights which we did not have.
- Patrice (8/5): Beau Riad - Beau riad assez bien situé.
- Helka (9/5): Well located nice looking riad in Fez - This accommodation is conveniently located within the city, we stayed there two days and one day we walked through the medina, the other we could reach the royal palace on foot as well. We especially appreciated that they arranged transportation for us late at night and early in the morning (27€, cheaper at more reasonable hours).
The rooms were simple but comfortable. The common spaces are beautiful. The wifi was stable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, same both days, except for mandarin/orange juice. Our triple room was located on the top floor, which was a nuisance at first when we arrived at night, but we were next to the rooftop so that was a perk. If you have trouble climbing stairs, I'd recommend asking first about where your room will be located.
- Gianluca (8/5): Very good - the host very courteous and available for any need. he helps us to organize transportation and guides. the Riad wasn't luxury but clean and comfortable.
the breakfast was very good with several choices
- Colin (8/5): Great experience and would definatley recomend to others and stay here again. - Beautifully renovated riad. Owner and staff were great, rooms were stylish comfortable and clean. Lovely courtyard area for breakfast. Good breakfasts and delicious evening meal. Location was perfect, quiet and peaceful, but right on the edge of the medina, with nice places to eat nearby. Wifi intermittent in our room, no hair dryer in room.
- Intrepid (8/5): Very good -
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Very helpful staff. Lovely Riad.. Bad smell coming from toilet/plumbing. Once I figured out the fan exhaust, though, it was fine.
- Anothertreehouse (9/5): Superb - 1. Host is extremly kind and friendly.
2. Beautiful decorations
3. Nice breakfast Wifi problematic
- Michael (10/5): Wonderful! This is the second time my groups have stayed here, and we will definitely stay again. - The location and price are excellent. My group loved nearly everything about this riad. The staff go above and beyond to take care of everything. Mohammed does an excellent job, and Patrick is great at communicating. The beds were too firm.
- Mustaq (7/5): Good -
- Dilip (4/5): - We booked this property based on the rating and it was a very disappointing experience. Our room was the terrace room (4 flights of stairs). We seemed to be the only guests. We arrived very late at night, so I understand not getting a welcome drink as advertised. However, there was no drinking/bottled water provided either. The room was dusty and the bathroom was terrible. YOU CANNOT CLOSE THE BATHROOM DOOR FROM INSIDE AND LATCH IT. No privacy!!!
The walls were moldy. There were NO BATH TOWELS (only hand towels). No toilet paper holder and the bathroom amenities are packets of Pantene shampoo. The room gets noisy with a banging sound. When talking with the manager the next day, I was told that drinking water would be provided on request only and I had to ask. Amenities like hairdryer is shared and they apparently had a large group the previous night, so all the bath towels were unavailable. The fact that there isn’t a latch on the bathroom (important for privacy) and the walls are moldy and rooms are dusty made us cut our stay short and move to a different hotel immediately.
This review is based solely on our experience with the terrace room (one king bed and one twin bed). The owner will very likely not take this feedback and retort as if everything is fine.
However, having stayed in multiple riads in Morocco, we can confidently say that this was a terrible experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively as the courtyard is nice.
- DEANNA (10/5): - Beautiful courtyard and very tasty breakfast. The room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. The rooftop terrace provided a lovely view of the surroundings and will be a pleasant place to sit, especially later in the season.
- Abrar (8/5): Great place to stay, not very difficult to find. The staff were fantastic and always willing to help. The Riad itself wa -
- Fiona (10/5): Wonderful - We had a marvellous peaceful stay. The property is beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Our host was extremely gracious and took us (so that we didn’t get lost in the maze of streets) to the most wonderful restaurant. His recommendation was superb and my favourite of the trip. In fact, the food was in my opinion better than a very exclusive restaurant we visited in Marrakesh.
- Irene (4/5): Nice riad, probably unreliable staff; keep your money close to you - Location is okay; breakfast was okay We stayed there in december and it was quite cold; more blankets would be nice.
There was money (around 100 euros) stolen from our room, while our door was locked and we were downstairs drinking tea in the riad.
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - I love this place! This is the second time I've stayed there. The rooms are clean & comfortable, breakfast & location are great! Staff is super friendly and helpful. And as a solo traveler, I felt very safe. The toilet in my room ran for pretty much the whole time I was there. That's the only reason I graded facilities a little lower.
- Suhas (8/5): Nice location, friendly staff - Good location (ca. 200m from nearest street parking)
Ca. 500m to Medina, Mohammad one of the staff showed us to a hidden restaurant on the first evening we were there.
Breakfast was good, we were also able to get breakfast packed on the second morning as we were leaving very early. Rooms can be better lit,
Water boiler for tea or some hot beverage could be nice in the rooms.
- Chanita (10/5): Great stay, just fix that AC - We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the AC was not the greatest, and we found sleeping hard due to the heat. The staff were great at lending us their own fan so that we had some air flow to sleep. They were also very accommodating and very helpful.
- Haruka (8/5): Very good -
- Imran (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly and helpful. Maryam, Muhammad, Abdullhab were amazing and made our stay pleasant and comfortable 😊 It would be good if the bathroom doors had locks and washers or douche pipe.
- Jason (10/5): Perfect place to base yourself out of for a multi-day visit to Fes. - Great breakfast. Breads, yogurt, eggs, jams and jellies. Excellent coffee. The entire family that runs it. The beautiful architecture, it is an amazing property. A great location and easy to find. A large room with a great bathroom exactly as advertised. Beds in Morocco tend to be on the firm side, this one was also like that. Still comfortable, with plenty of bedding and nice pillows, but a firm mattress.
- Leslie (10/5): Beautiful Traditional Riad - The rooms and all interior areas are beautiful. The staff was excellent and helped us a lot. They made lunch for us with advanced notice to be ready when we arrived because we were on a tight schedule.
- Intrepid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emi (10/5): Moroccan hospitality which may make us come back to Fes - The staff were extremely friendly and we felt welcomed. Especially Muhammad went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We weren’t having breakfast at the riad as we wanted more variety. So he offered us fruits and different breakfast too. His mint tea was the best amongst all the mint tea we had in 8 days. Cleaning was done everyday and the room was comfortable with AC. Beautiful decor of the traditional 1948 riad is really special. The pricing is very reasonable especially for the location. It’s located near the entrance of Medina, but far enough from it to be quiet and peaceful. Also the area ‘Batha’ is a nice area, safer than some of the others we visited. Laundry, shops for water, cafes, ATM, peti taxi and street food stalls nearby, everything was on the door step. Overall Muhammad’s hospitality made this whole trip memorable and this riad can be one of the reasons for us to come back to Fes. It’s a structural problem in this riad, but the room is always humid and the shower spreads water all over the bathroom, so make sure you close the toilet lid so that the toilet seat won’t be wet. The bathroom door doesn’t close properly and it can open easily (we put the bin to keep the door shut). The breakfast could have different varieties, along with good coffee (it was instant) and fresh orange juice (instead of bottled juice with sugar). But all these issues are trivial when you think of all the hassles to find a right riad to stay - there are some dishonest people only interested in making money and lie about things. We were actually taken to this riad by another riad owner, who was exactly that; how lucky we were that his riad wasn’t available!
- Anneliese (7/5): Good - We enjoyed our stay at Riad Sheryne Fes. It is a quiet sanctuary from the bustle of the old city. The architecture is beautiful, our room was comfortable and the accommodation is well located within walking distance of one of the main entrances to Fes El Bali, as well as the labrynthine Medina. Our host was also very welcoming and kind. The traditional Moroccan dinner we had at the Riad was the best we enjoyed during our time in the country.
The breakfast was generous and delicious.
- Reem (10/5): - Great location , nice place , clean room, good AC, and hot shower , nice Morocco breakfast , staff is very friendly , Mohamed the manger of the riad was very helpful and friendly , the Riad is about 10 minutes walk to the blue gate, lots of cafe, restaurants and shops near by. I would highly recommend Riad Sheryne to stay in Fes old medina
- Troy (8/5): Very good -
- Antony (8/5): Really good location , beautiful Riad - Gorgeous riad, one of the main reasons I would recommend this hotel is its location, it was close to a main street , which means you're not carrying your suitcases too far to your accommodation. Most of the Riad's are in pedestrian only locations. We saw many tourists dragging their luggage and all I kept thinking was thank god we didn't have to do that .
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Dana (7/5): Good - Stuff, breakfast, location Nothing.
- Ravi (10/5): - Cute Riad close to the Blue Gate and Medina. Very nice people who run the property. Very caring and extremely helpful.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant position, parking available, easy to find. The proprietors were very helpful, lovely breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Nothing.
- Dfnz (9/5): Wonderful Moroccan hospitality - Wonderful warm and friendly Moroccan hospitality.
Beautiful Riad with amazing artisan work.
Close to Medina etc but a quiet and peaceful oasis of calm after a couple of hours in the bustle of the markets.
Nice breakfast.
If/when we return to Fes this would be our first choice to stay! Nothing at all important but some minor maintenance.. dripping tap in bathroom and door that didn't easily close.
- Andres (8/5): Great location and beautiful riad - We totally recommend this Riad. The location is perfect and this in a Medina is important.
Easy access to major streets and meetings points. Very close to good restaurants for travelers to eat safely.
The Riad inside is beautiful. Some tips to future travelers:
Room 1 is a bit dark. Low ceilings. I recommend paying a bit more and getting room 4 or any of the other rooms in the upper floors that face the internal patio. They are brighter and bigger.
There is a terrace with amazing views. Don’t miss it. I suggest for the Riad to make more use of it. Perhaps having the possibility of having breakfasts in the terrace or maybe evening tea…
Breakfast was decent and they prepare a pack for you to take away if you need to go early on an excursion.
We didn’t speak Arabic and the staff doesn’t speak much English or Spanish but they were very kind and they did their best effort to find a way to communicate and it works. Google translate is great help.
We truly appreciate the effort people make when we go to another country and we can’t speak their language. They took good care of us. They were also very respectful and polite during our stay.
We didn’t have the chance to meet Patrick the owner but we would have loved to! Thank you for a pleasant stay. Maybe we’ll meet you next time. I’m used to hard mattresses and yet I still found the bed was too hard so I would suggest changing the mattress to a softer one.
The wifi was not great but I think this is something we expected.
When we arrived the room that was given to us was not the one we had initially booked and that first night the riad was full. We were a bit surprised and it was probably just a mistake.
We were lucky that there was an empty room the next day and they could move us to the right one. Patrick assistant quickly solved this for us the next day. We appreciate he did this. This made our stay better.
Something I have seen in other Riads is that they have names or numbers for each rooms in the Booking ads so when the customer books online there is no doubt of what room they booked. So I thought I’d offer it as a suggestion just in case it helps.
None of this should stop you from choosing this riad but I felt these suggestions help as I think this Riad has the potential of becoming a 10. We were very happy with our stay and we will come back.
- Krzysztof (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay at Riad Sheryne! The building is beautiful and stylish; and the rooms are specious and have the best powerful and hot shower ever! The hosts are lovely people, and the location is perfect, just 2 minutes from the blue gate and easy to find. Also, nice breakfast and amazing view from the terrace. Would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you for your hospitality.
- Grace (10/5): - Simple, clean little road. Wifi often gets disconnected but staff can fix it right away. Every nice staff and great breakfast.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - The room was so cozy and quiet that I decided to extend my stay for other two nights. The staff was super kind and instantly helped me with my requests making everything so easy for me. They even prepared me breakfast personally at the time I needed! The riad is very central in the medina (5 minutes by walk to many meeting points of organized tours) but it is still very quiet at night. I truly recommend!
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - wonderful hosts, the breakfast was perfect, the usual evening teas were happily made by them and brought to the terrace
- Jubril (8/5): Very good -
- Alyson (6/5): value for money - good location. not far from blue gate. the patio is beautiful with traditional zallig decoration. value for money. the female staff is nice and friendly there is no hair dryer in the room (not the same as in the room description) and checked with the staff. they dont have any to borrow for you. the bedsheet and blanket looks a bit old, but seems clean. have to ask for the paper toilet as there are none in the room at the beginning.
- Sally (10/5): close to parking, restaurants - clean beautifully restored convenient
- Sally (10/5): beautiful restored Riad convenient - very kind hosts, easy to locate, convenient, beautiful nothing
- Waheed (9/5): Warm Moroccan Hospitality with enchanting ambience - Moroccan Hospitality by host Mohamed and his family Nothing
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): my favorie place to stay in Fes medina - My favorite place to stay, easy walk to Batha, a jewel box with exquisite plaster and zellig, ample breakfast, excellent staff, always ready to help nothing
- Giovanni (8/5): Very good -
- Mabel (10/5): Beautiful Riad in great location - Beautiful riad in a great location. The architecture of the Riad is intricate and authentic. Just a five minute walk to the Blue gate. Nicely decorated rooms with lots of Moroccan charm. The mattresses were a lot firmer than we are used to but the beds were very clean. The AC in the room worked great and there was hot water in the shower. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very hospitable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Monsieur Patrick gave a great orientation for the medina of Fes & made sure his guests don't fall victim to faux guides. the staff is friendly & helpful (eg. quick to organize a 2nd blanket when I was cold, although there's also a heater in the room for colder days). cozy room with comfy bed & stylish bathroom, great roof terrace, beautiful courtyard with more mosaics than you'd think possible :)
- Ole Haubo (10/5): Skynd jer at booke denne Riad - Fastastisk service på riaden. Rigtig god morgenmad. Dejligt kvarter.
- Heidi (8/5): One of the better places in Fes - I do not think you will find anything better price quality. The place if really beautiful...it is amazing what to discover behind this very simple door. The service was very nice as well. We were there in February which means the nights are pretty cold, mornings as well. There was heating in the room, for breakfast they added some extra heating. Very nice people. They worked on the electricity and Wifi...which is pretty normal to do in low season. They apologized for any inconvenience but we can not complain as we were out all day.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Umm - The entire room was dark and hardly got to wear makeup in the bathroom mirror. Not sure all the authentic riad is supposed to be like this compared to the ones we’ve stayed during our trip in Morocco. The salon was pretty. Walkable distance to old Médina.
N9 apar3c3. Ciando quise pagar solo pude hacerlo en efectivo. Decia que no tenia señal para tarjetas.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was ok. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Hot water slow to heat up. There’s noise every time when the ventilation switch was turned on which disturbed the occupants in the next room. However, Patrick the owner is a very pleasant person who always making sure our stay is as comfortable as possible. He’s a very helpful person, he helped to arrange our pack breakfast since we have to leave early for our trip. He even arranged for our airport transfer on our last day. We really enjoyed our stay there, apart from the earlier problems mentioned awhich are manageable. We really miss Patrick’s and the staff’s hospitality. We will definitely stay there again if we were to visit Fes again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very bad service - not to recommend - Unfortunately, we made a bad experience with this Riad. We told them upon arrival that we have to leave early the next morning for the desert. They told us breakfast at 7 is not possible, only at 7.30. When we arrived at 7.30 the next morning, nothing was ready. We received some orange juice in a pet bottle and some sweet baked stuff in plastic from the supermarket. That's it. We were told by a rude lady that there is no breakfast, just this. No coffee, no tea, nothing. Also, there were no towels in the room. Otherwise, the room was OK, but in this Riad there is clearly no management and client service at all.
- Abdelhak (10/5): - Very good & service minded stuff made our journey the best it can be. Once again thanks again!
I strongly recommend this Riad if you are planning to visit Fes.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for a short stay - The place was well located, clean and common areas were nice. The room was a bit stifling as the ceiling is too close to your head. The welcome was quite cold, we didn’t get a map or information about the place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location! - Close to taxi circle. 5 min walk to Blue Gates. Staff was super friendly! Breakfast was delicious and cute. Riad was beautiful!! Felt like we were staying in a mini palace. Amazing color and details in every room. Rooftop had nice view of city outskirts. Would definitely recommend and the price was a steal!
- Rebecca (10/5): Beautiful riad. - Such a beautifully restored riad, right near the Blue Gate. A peaceful retreat with such friendly and careful service. Also the most fabulous and huge tagine cooked for us on our final night! Thank you Patrick and Mohammed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - Patrick was very accommodating of our schedule and even showed us around the Medina when we arrived. Great breakfast, great stay.
