- Bilal (2/5): - Don't Ren from them, Falls advertisement. There is no people at place, no pool available. The gave us a room not what we booked. The place scary no light on. You live on back yard of the owner and his wife You don't fell comfortable at all. They are small lizards at bed room.

A huge shoutout to the owner, Amer, whose incredible hospitality and delicious, homemade breakfasts truly made our stay there a special one! This hotel offers a peaceful retreat in a quiet location, yet it's perfectly positioned near Southern Beach and Tala Bay. We loved being within walking distance of Japanese Garden Beach and Bernice Beach. For anyone visiting Aqaba for diving or snorkeling, this hotel is an ideal base. The property features a large, beautiful pool and a nice shared terrace with BBQ facilities. The property offers both regular rooms and rooms offering kitchenettes, in addition to its impeccable cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed my time here!
- Varaporn Jenny (2/5): Unhygienic Facilities Dishonest Management Avoid - During my stay at Southern Star Club Hotel, I had an extremely disappointing experience. Upon check-in, the toilet in our room wasn’t flushing properly. I reported it to a staff member, who provided a plunger. Despite my efforts to fix it, the issue persisted. Before leaving for dinner, I informed staff again, requesting it be addressed while we were out. At 4:30 AM, the toilet became completely unusable. Staff returned and spent nearly an hour using a hose both inside and outside the room, but the problem remained unresolved. We were forced to use the shower for basic needs and rely on a separate bathroom for other necessities, creating an unsanitary and deeply uncomfortable situation. When I requested a refund for the severe inconvenience, the owner accused us of causing the damage to the toilet. Hours after we had already checked out, she sent a photograph of intact toilet paper as evidence. The image was inconsistent with materials that had gone through a sewer line, raising serious doubts about the validity of their claim and the hotel’s honesty. Despite multiple attempts to address the issue respectfully, owner refused to issue a refund and continued to place unjust blame on us. This experience was not only unacceptable and unsanitary but also a reflection of dishonest and unprofessional business practices. I strongly advise against staying at Southern Star Club Hotel to avoid similar treatment, lack of accountability, and disregard for basic guest comfort and respect.
- Marianne (10/5): Great place to snorkel/dive!! - We had a lovely stay. We were welcomed and able to check in to our room early. We were given excellent recommendations by Amer of where to go snorkelling and he took my partner out diving. Perfect stay for a couple. The pools are 5m and 2m deep so would not be good for children but I had a lovely swim. Was very relaxing. We had a car so could easily drive in to Aqaba for dinner in 10-15 mins. Would recommend to couples who want to do some snorkelling/diving

- Verified traveler (2/5): SCAM - SCUBA DIVING SCAM! Stayed here a few weeks ago and while the accommodation is adequate (not great), the owner is a fraud. Convinced me to pay for the PADI scuba diving course saying that it would make getting a fully open water course cheaper. He said he would fill out the forms and I should receive an email a few days later, however I never received that email and have contacted him since, but he kept saying he was busy and yet to fill out the forms. If I could give zero stars I would. Should have read the previous reviews (on Google) before agreeing to pay. He also operates cash only, meaning we have no record of payment!

La piscine est énorme et le lieu est très contemporain et bien entretenu...😍👍

- Colin (8/5): Peaceful Setting - Beautiful, quiet setting and very welcoming friendly, helpful staff. About a twenty minute drive out of Aqaba, close to the beach. Nothing else really around apart from Dive Centres. Room was large, with a fridge. Separate toilet and shower. We found the mattress on the bed hard and uncomfortable. You really need your own transport to get here and around Aqaba.

They made us feel welcomed and cared for. They even made us a wonderful dinner when we arrived hungry and tired from our travels. They also served a wonderful breakfast. We would love to go back and spend more time.

Beach is close, but there is little in the way of local amenities, requiring a short trip to Tala Bay (5 mins by car), or Aqaba (20 mins by car) for shops, bars, and restaurants. Note that reception takes CASH ONLY for meals, drinks, and other additional fees.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We received a great welcome from Liliya and Amer and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and stylish and we had a delicious fresh fish dinner cooked by our hosts. It is a quiet location and sits above the beach, a ten minute walk away. Excellent snorkeling both on this beach and the acclaimed Japanese Coral Garden a few hundred yards further on. Not much going on in the village except for restaurants and dive centres but a very relaxing place, ideal way to start or finish a trip to Jordan. Thank you, Amer for your help with our rental car.
- Micaela (6/5): No vacancy despite confirmation number - I had confirmation from hotels.com but owner of hotel said they were full. She had one room but it was more expensive than the one I paid for and she would not offer at same price. Did not offer to assist in rebooking elsewhere despite the fact that I had traveled far by bus and taxi to reach the destination and there wasn’t anything else nearby. As an aside, unless you are a scuba diver, I do not see the charm of Aqaba. There are much better places to see in the region.
