• benoit (9/5): Tres bon sejour ! - Les propriétaires du onsen , tres gentils , serviables …. Pour ceux qui veulent connaitre un hebergement traditionnel au calme, propre. Le petit dejeuner etait tres bien egalement ainsi que le bain . L hebergement est un peu excentre , il faut prevoir son moyen de déplacement.

• さき (10/5): - いつもお世話になっていまーす。 近くに山梨県吉田市大明見の不二阿祖山太神宮があり、ここが、富士王朝。縄文日本人の発症の場所で、三種の神器があり、唯一ここに、この宇宙天地創造の唯一神、元主一太御神さま、ミロクの神様がいらっしゃいます。富士山に立たれ富士山の爆発をおさえてくれています。私達日本人、世界に散らばった日本人の親神様が、魂を私達に分け御霊として、良心として日本人全員の心、心臓にいらっしゃいます。 その生命エネルギーが唯一働いてくれています。 それで私達人間はいきています。 ありがたい場所です。悩み何も言わなくてもすべて親神様はわかっていて奇跡起こりますよー。すごいんだから（笑） いつもお世話になっています。 温泉もあり、素晴らしいです。 ご高齢のお父さん、お母さんがいらっしゃって 息子さんがいろいろ細かい所をされています。 息子さんが来れないときもあるようでした。
• Nicolas (10/5): - Very cozy and traditional hotel. Perfect choice if you're looking for a more authentic stay. The hosts are amazing and they love what they do. The onsen is small but private, which is exactly what we were looking for. We are already planning on coming back! The sleeping arrangement is not the most comfortable. But that could be because we are not used to the futon style sleeping arrangement.

Hiker friendly. Massage chair. Hama Sushi for the win. It’s a little far from train/bus stations. We took a taxi to get there. 12 minute walk to some great restaurants.
• Mark (10/5): A very nice and cosy night's stay. - I loved my night's stay at Asumi Onsen. My first experience of a traditional Japanese inn and of an Onsen bath and it was great. The owners are a lovely couple, very welcoming. I would definitely stay again and recommend others to stay here too. Arigatou gozaimasu!

• Irina (8/5): Интересный опыт - Дом в традиционном стиле, было интересно получить опыт такого проживания. Приятные хозяева. Расположен на краю поселка с прекрасным видом на Фудзи-сан. До станции жд пару км, мы ходили пешком, прогуляться приятно. В пешей доступности пагода Чурейто (если любите пешие прогулки). До озера несколько остановок на поезде. Номер большой, светлый. В холодное время года в номере очень холодно. Мы мерзли. Есть кондиционер, но с ним спать шумно. Онсеном можно пользоваться приватно, повесив табличку, что очень удобно ( возможно, так, когда мало гостей). Вода в онсене очень горячая, в самом помещение холодно. Завтрак номинальный. Очень холодно в осенне- зимнее время. Все общественные помещения не отапливаются, в туалетах вода из крана холодная. В теплое время года, думаю, тут хорошо.
• Guest (9/5): A diamond in the rough of a popular tourist location. - The onsen was hot hot hot! But perfect for a long and cold day around the Fuji lakes. Also the breakfast was nice and the heart shaped eggs were very cute!

Husband and wife host was very nice and gracious and gave us ride to Bus station which they did not have to. I would like to have an option of Japanese breakfast rather western breakfast.

Pokoje duże i czyste, wygodne futony, dostęp do wanny z wodą z gorącego źródła, z której skorzystaliśmy dwa razy, smaczne śniadania. Czyste łazienki i toalety. Parking dla kilku aut, dobra lokalizacja, blisko kilka długo otwartych restauracji. Polecam, chętnie wrócimy. Wszystko było super.

• Roman K. (7/5): Mixed feelings - Japan style accommodation. Nice owners. Bikes for free (they have only two, small size). I recommend to use it and visit at least Asumi Lake - very nice place out of crowds. Nice Onsen. Open 6PM to 11PM. For one group only (private). So you need to wait and hope it will be your turn. One day we did not get there, the other two we did. Small european style breakfast. We eat more from our stocks after. Cold water on toilet. Cold temperature in hallway, toilets and shower. Shared toilets do not provide much privacy. Far from main attractions. No restaurants nearby. Those 15 minutes walk are not good ones. Owners speak English, but only little bit so it is hard to discuss anything.

• Jan (10/5): - This ryokan is located in a very peaceful area, perfect if you want to avoid crowded tourist spots. It is about 2 km from Shimoyoshida Station. The room was clean and the futon was very comfortable. The ryokan has a private onsen, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. My stay included breakfast, which was delicious.The owners are extremely nice and helpful, and they speak English, so there is no need to worry if you don’t speak Japanese. On my last day, the owner even gave me a ride to the train station, which was very kind of him. If I am in the area again, I would definitely return to this ryokan.

• Simon (10/5): Lovely traditional Japanese experience - If you are looking to stay in a real Japanese style bed-and-breakfast at a good price, look no further than Asumi Onsen! The room is spacious for two people and clean. The breakfast is good, served to you in a tatami lounge. The host and hostess is an elderly couple, who are the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They we’re kind to our every request, let us rent bikes for free, and even took drove us to Shimoyoshida station at the end of our stay. Finally, you will enjoy soaking in the in-house Onsen at the end of the day! If you’re staying in the Japanese-style room, you will sleep on Japanese futons on the tatami floor. I personally liked the experience of sleeping on futons, but the firmness is likely not for everyone. Just be aware of that before you book and don’t complain about it in the reviews afterwards, as I see some people have done.

The owner gave us a ride to the nearby train station at checkout day. The room was really small, especially for the price. The pillows were the worst thing ever I've laid my head on in a hotel.

• Gabrielle (9/5): Run by a very kind couple - The couple was very kind and made a yummy breakfast which we ate in a very traditional beautiful room. No beds, just tatami. A private onsen is available. The male owner was especially kind this morning. He offered my brother and I a ride to the train station in his car free of charge just to be kind. It's a very peaceful quaint place run by nice good people who speak great English. It might be a bit far from the center if you don't like walking. The Onsen water could perhaps be a bit hotter. Overall a good experience! Especially the people.
• Julie (10/5): Kind staff, lovely onsen, clean place with free bike rental - The private onsen was amazing and was available whenever we needed it throughout our three-night stay. The staff there were incredibly helpful and communicated very well. The entire place was spotless — from the common areas and bedroom furniture to the freshly washed sheets and duvet covers. A free breakfast was included each morning, which the lady diligently prepared according to our schedule. For us, the bikes were a great addition for exploring the area and appreciating views of Mt. Fuji from different locations and angles. The owner was even kind enough to give us a ride to the train station when we checked out. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji. • Maeve (9/5): Traditional Japanese Ryokan Retreat at a good price - Lovely traditional Ryokan for a good price. Really nice breakfast included & use of a private Onsen. The host was so lovely & friendly. He allowed us to use his bikes & he dropped us to the station after our stay. Highly recommend this if you want to experience futon beds, a private Onsen & everything a traditional Japanese Ryokan has to offer. The location is peaceful but not very central. We walked from the station on the first day as the buses were not very frequent. (30 mins)We would have been lost without the use of the bikes to get to the pagoda/nearby town. A car/motorbike would make your stay here more pleasant. The host dropped us to the station after our stay which was very helpful.

• Marion (10/5): Très bon séjour paisible avec un personnel très agréable ! - Un super accueil avec un monsieur très gentil. Petit déjeuner sommaire mais bon, l’établissement est propre et paisible. Le onsen est privatif donc on peut être seul ou en famille et la température est parfaite ! De plus le monsieur nous déposait en voiture pour aller visiter ou pour aller à la gare, vraiment gentil de sa part ! L’épaisseur des futons, on avait un peu mal aux dos le matin, mais on n’a pas l’habitude aussi. On a pu vivre une expérience authentique !

• blownfaraway (9/5): Great place in inconvenient location - The Onsen of course is the little highlight of this accomodation just like the welcoming host who made sure that we got a ride to the station when taxis weren't available. Breakfast was small, but yummy. The location is the big downside of this accomodation. Not only is there no bus stop nearby (1 km walk), but also the restaurant situation is somewhat dire. At least you get some nice views on Fuji on the way

Wir hatten das große Glück, in diesem wundervollen, traditionell japanischen Hotel übernachten zu dürfen – und es war rundum ein großartiges Erlebnis. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden stets mit einem Lächeln empfangen und fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Die Zimmer waren makellos sauber, gepflegt und im schönen japanischen Stil eingerichtet – genau das, was wir uns von einer authentischen Unterkunft erhofft hatten. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die Möglichkeit, kostenlos Fahrräder auszuleihen, mit denen wir die Umgebung ganz entspannt erkunden konnten. Ein weiteres Highlight war der private Onsen, den man abschließen konnte – eine wundervolle Gelegenheit, sich in ruhiger Atmosphäre zu entspannen. Auch das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend und liebevoll angerichtet, mit typischen japanischen Köstlichkeiten. Zum Abschied wurden wir sogar kostenfrei zum Bahnhof gefahren – ein toller Service, der nicht selbstverständlich ist und unseren Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet hat. Wer japanische Gastfreundschaft in ihrer schönsten Form erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Nichts
