- Barbara (10/5): -
- Vowell (10/5): - Very clean and roomy. It's an older hotel but that is part of the attraction. Bed was outstanding. My only mild complaint would be the hard pillows, but a lot of people would appreciate it. That I couldn't move in.
- Barb (5/5): - Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. Only 2 channels on TV

- Michelle (10/5): Great value for the money and the bed was phenomenal! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! - It was pleasant Nothing
- Guest (8/5): Not The Ritz Carlton, But Also Not A Budget Bleeder - Meet the three C's - Cleanliness, Comfort, and Convenience (located very close to the job site). The staff was professional and friendly, check-in was quick and easy, and the place was exactly as advertised so there were no surprise disappointments that had been churched up or glossed over.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Larry (9/5): -
- Martha (8/5): Great customer service, nice decor, comfortable, quiet, great location - Location, decor, good beds Could have used a curtain/door between the toilet area and the sink area.
- Keith (2/5): Go somewhere else. - Not enough plugs and space for CPAP machines. Bathroom was pitiful with the smallest, lowest toilet I’ve ever fallen onto. Can’t be ADA approved. Didn’t want to get in the shower. Had no place to put toiletries.
- Betty (4/5): - AC did not work and could not fix it so or move us. Had no AC the whole trip. No maintenance on duty. I would not stay there again and will get a better hotel in the next town and drive the next miles.
- Lisa (7/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): Great staff great location and great value - Location and the hotel manager was awesome ! She was very accommodating and helpful! Bad towels
- Guest (10/5): - Great location, we had stayed here last September and had a good experience then too. The breakfast was great, and we even had fruit.
- Julie (7/5): Clean, comfortable and safe. - The room was clean and comfortable. The microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room were nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. We found the location very convenient and there was plenty of parking even during a very busy weekend. The room was fine but old and could use an update. A couple of cracks in the plaster, old, thin carpet and very plain furnishings. Frankly, my house was built in the 1920's so I am used to this kind of thing. Everything was clean and in fine working order, you should just know you are staying in an old motel so you won't be surprised.
- Jane (8/5): A great place to place for the tarantula festival - Great location; very nice people A bit noisy but it was fully booked
- Charles (10/5): - This is an old, simple, clean motel. The rooms are adequate, outdated, clean, and very reasonably priced. It seems like many of the reviews here expect the Broadmoor for $65 a night. The free continental breakfast is simple but nice, and the staff is very friendly.
- Sue (8/5): - Ants in the bathroom
- Raynette (10/5): - Haven't stayed in a motel in decades. I was very surprised with this one. Very quiet and very comfortable.
- Aganetha (8/5): -
- Craig (8/5): - A very quaint old school motel. Built in a different era and has with the charm of small town Colorado. Staff was great !
- Brian (10/5): -
- Christopher (2/5): - Tiny bed table. Sloped beds with flat pillows and no headboards. Small tv. No bathroom counters. Water damaged walls and ceiling. The check in clerk however was outstanding! Even though we immediately decided to change hotels she was courteous and tried her best to get us a refund(did not get refund since we paid through Expedia). Time of stay 5 minutes max!
- Jean (7/5): Short and not too bad. - The hostess was very nice. The room was ok. Didn't care for undesireables hanging around. Door needed to be more secure. There were no grab bars for the commode or shower. Toilet is not good for those who can't stoop low or for the handicap.
- Trujillo (10/5): -
- Karen (7/5): - The staff was incredibly awesome, nice people there visiting as well. Informative about what was in the area.
- Guest (10/5): older motel but clean and good service - clean easy access
- Dj (6/5): - If you are more of a Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn person. This motel ain’t for you. If you are Motel 6 person then it’s a step up. The rooms were not dirty but just old, outdated and broken down. The lady running it for the owner who was gone, was very nice and did her best. She provided a clean and fresh continental breakfast.
- Karen (6/5): - The property seemed a little run down. The room was clean enough, just dated and a little run down. There was a lack of electrical outlets in our room also.
- Ron (2/5): Horrible Marketing!!! - We were told by Hotel.com that dogs were allowed. A sign in the hotel yard said "pets must be on leash." Item #5 on registration form said pets are allowed. When we tried to check in we were told pets are not allowed and rejected our our reservation. Lou was on the front desk and she was very new and had to call the manager. I was able to speak with the manager and she was hostile and rude. Lou was awesome. We had to drive another hour and a half to Pueblo, CO to obtain lodging after an already 12 hour day. Would not recommend this motel to anyone!!!
- Faith (10/5): - The room was well priced.
- Guest (7/5): Lovely staff, great quiet location, and affordable! - Room was easy to access, plentiful parking, excellent access to downtown shops/restaurants and the highway -- but located off the highway so location/room is quiet. They have made some upgrades to flooring, etc. They also have korean takeout available -- the food is amazing and always a highlight of my visits to La Junta and I always enjoy ordering this food when I stay at Midtown Inn. They also accommodated my request for a slightly later checkout -- thank you so much! The tub in my room (#28) could use replacing eventually. The tub faucet diverter to switch the water to shower mode has a really loud sound, I was able to get it to stop making the loud sound after wiggling the diverter and modifying the position of it. Not sure how to fix this issue -- I forgot to mention this to the staff upon checking out.
- Richard (8/5): - This is an old western style motel. There are some upgrades to an older building. Girl at check in was very helpful. The price is right for bed and shower. A breakfast is provided, but I left early. Comfortable bed, TV, refrig and microwave. Nothing fancy but fine with me for one night.
- Jeff (2/5): - I couldn't make it due to a middle of the night illness and couldn't get a refund. I'll be using another company next time.
- Roger (8/5): -
- Brad (4/5): - The space was generally clean, but pretty Spartan. Mattress/bed wasn’t great.A/C wouldn’t not adjust either off or refrigerate. No soap for shower.
- De (8/5): A great place for the value & location I needed it for. - Good value for the money. Good continental breakfast, plenty of choices. Good selection of TV channels. Room was comfortable re: AC & space. Liked the mini table & chairs. Place was quiet, tho I can hear the folks above walking, but they were overall, quiet. All the tenants were quiet. Neighborhood is quiet. Got to see fireworks both nights! Pillows and mattress was comfy & towels big, thick and soft. Walking distance to Boss Restaurant & laundromat. The Place is outdated in design, but it worked for what I needed it to.
- Wendy (8/5): - was excellent very professional and friendly. The room was very clean a little out of date that was very comfortable got a better sleep than my bed. And conditioner kept the room cold, to be had a great picture in sales
- Rebecca (4/5): - Bad beds run diwn in general
- Grant (8/5): - Some friends stayed down the road and this was way cleaner.
- Norman (7/5): Value for money for uncomplicated guests. - A very friendly and accommodating owner. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, good choice available and very fresh. Premises old and tired but kept very clean.
- Jennifer (6/5): Horrible bed - The pictures are deceiving. The room was fine. Had the worst bed I have ever slept on and we both woke up sore from how hard it was. Water pressure was great though.
- Amanda (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (8/5): Good place to stop for the night. - Clean and comfortable place.
I would have regret to may more for a “better” one.
- Susan (8/5): - Clean friendly. Air conditioner was noisy for sleeping but otherwise nice quiet location
- Kenneth (10/5): - We have known this property for over 60 years. The rooms are clean. Very 1950’s decor. But the bed was new and very comfortable. The owners have a small Korean cafe on the property. Rave reviews for the food. And the breakfast was ne of the best we have encountered on our travels. Highly recommended!
- Felix (10/5): - Quiet area, easy to register, friendly staff!
- Lois (7/5): Had everything for a good price. - The hot water was amazing….very hot and strong! There was everything I needed . Not really enough power points for appliances but otherwise ok. Not a very nice town.
- Graves (1/5): Bad -
- Wilfred (10/5): - 4 star, will use again in the future booking
- Jake (10/5): - Although dated, this remains one of my favorite stay options in La Junta for its price:amenities ratio. Everything in the city is within about a 45m walking distance, multiple historical sites within driving range, multiple dining options within walking range and many within 10m or less driving range. Weekly rates are GREAT.
Strongly recommended for budget travel without sacrificing basic amenities and options locally. No negative notes.
- Florentino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Clean, comfortable, quiet - The room was very clean. Good water pressure in the shower. Friendly check in. An extra lamp in the room would be helpful.
- Rose (7/5): Good - Room was very clean and good bed. The fridge made lots of noise
- Brad (8/5): Very good - Older hotel but clean, quiet, and great value for the money.
- Theresa (10/5): Quiet, comfortable and worth every minute thanks Midtown motel staff! I will recommend to friends! - The privacy and the beds best hotel ever!
- Yvette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (3/5): Poor - If you have ever wondered what happened to all of the sofabed mattresses from the 1970's....Midtown has them all. The mattresses were thin and plastic coated. One can see (and REALLY feel) each metal band running across the mattresses. A pile of pillows on the concrete floor was vastly better. I am disabled and the 2 nights here may have been the worst mistake I have ever made. The rooms are large and they have decent water pressure, but that is the only positive thing I can say. All furniture is from the same era as the mattresses...think elementary school cafeteria. Avoid this place....just book the more expensive places in town, it WILL be worth it!
- Neil (6/5): Pleasant - Good
- brad (10/5): - Friendly staff.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean stay - Very clean rooms, certainly much better than big motel chains. The check in lady was also quick and responsive.
- William (6/5): Okay for one night. - Great location and friendly staff but there was no heat in the room and the bed was uncomfortable.
I would not stay again.
- Eric (6/5): Good value place, great location, but could use a bit of renovation in the rooms. - Neighbors smoking right outside my room, not pleasant. Also, had to run the AC all night just to keep the baseboard heater from cooking the room
- Biggs (7/5): Good -
- thomas (8/5): - people were great, helpful. bed was too soft. heat control was tricky. got help from the staff.
- Carol (7/5): Good - Pricing, shower, coziness, parking
- Lissette (7/5): Good -
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (8/5): no frills - safe, no frills a little loud. could hear neighbors conversation.
- Tami (2/5): - The bathroom walls in the tub area and the tub we're coming apartand were painted. No Electric outlets in bathroom for hair dryer or curling iron.
- Riley (7/5): Good - Bed and room was clean. Shower was not. No heater in the room. Very loud. People slamming doors and talking all night. But overall, you get what you pay for.
- Theresa (8/5): Good stop for a night. - We were there just one night on a longer trip. It is an older motel but has been fixed up and looks nice. Clean and neat.
- Katherine (8/5): Very affordable and great location! - We chose this place based on the price and good reviews while we were in town for the tarantula “migration.” The staff was very kind. Room was clean but a little outdated (which we did not care about at all). Quite a few dining options are within walking distance. The breakfast nook was a little crowded when more than two people are trying to get food. Options were limited but sufficient.
- Angelica (5/5): Thifs - Nothing It wasn't up to par. Didn't like it felt like it was dirty. Also ended up trying to be charged $300 dollars. They had asked for our card and went to another room a couple of days later, which was charged the $300. This place was the only place we used this card on. Because we carried cash for our trip. Wasn't happy at all.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb - Clean and well kept
- Margaret (8/5): - This is a privately owned motel & I was happy enough with the room for the price I paid.
- Leah (7/5): Met basic needs. - location
- Roberta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Art Skip (10/5): - Great check in easy and hice young man
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, safe, friendly professional staff.
- Jimmy (8/5): - We were so tired we crashed early and left early so we didn't do anything extra
- Spencer (10/5): - Right outside downtown La Junta, perfect walking distance from everything.
