Puntos bajos: Las habitaciones del primer nivel se ven afectadas por el ruido de los empleados en la cocina y área de comedor por los demás huéspedes en hora del desayuno especialmente. El hecho de que hayan bebidas en el refrigerador de la habitación y luego te las cobren (cosa que tampoco nos dijeron al hacer check-in) pues no es de buen ver en realidad, lo ideal es que estén incluidas para así brindar un servicio mucho más acogedor y especial para el huésped, y ya si el huésped quiere más pues ahí si estoy de acuerdo que se cobren como un extra.

Jhonatan (6/5): - I like the blue theme on the whole property starting by the tinted windows something different and How convenient it is because of the location. Things i didn't like was the tv, it was outdated no apps at all couldnt watch Netflix or YouTube or any other content. When i first walked in there was a window open that i almost couldn't even close. The small table like stands next to the beds where about to fall of the walls, i rented a room for 3 people and did not had 3 towels. Had to call the front desk more then once to ask for an extra towel. Parking was straight but u cannot park more then 3 cars. Also went to the rooftop and it looked pretty good with tables , bar and a jacuzzi that u had to book 4 hrs before in case u wanted to use it. In my case i give this hotel 2 and half rating.

Bashar (8/5): - Hotel Laureles Plaza is a very good choice overall. Highlights of this hotel are: 6th floor jacuzzi (open until 9 pm), yummy free buffet breakfast (free coffee is available in the lobby anytime) and location (so many dining options in the second safest neighbourhood in Medellín, the Laureles). If you like purchasing your own grocery like me, there is a D1 store less than 3 minutes away walking. Most staff were very helpful except the first one who helped me check in as he ignored my online check in which I spent 30 minutes filling it… and he needed help by another staff to complete my manual check in. The room is very small in general but it has an air conditioner. There are no coffee or tea making machines. There is a mini fridge … with mini bar … I suggest buying your groceries (like water or juice or snacks) from outside. There is a safe in the room. My hand/wash soap was empty when I checked in … and I had to go downstairs to fill it in. Bed and pillows are comfortable. There is only one light in the whole room … and two in washroom. Very simple room. There were many ants on the washroom floor … every day. I love sitting on the 6th floor or using the Jacuzzi… amazing experience.

Sergieserge (10/5): Amazing location and service - This Hotel is incredible. It is located close to great action in Medellin and easy to get anywhere in the city. The service and the food is amazing. Their breakfast tastes great and has great variety. This is much better than what you get with some of the chains especially for the price.

531rudit (2/5): Worst customer service by far - Definitely one of the worst experience in an hotel. Had an issue with a stay in another hotel owned by the same group next door. So i was reluctant to stay in this one as well but they of course didn't want to cancel my stay. First i had to wait 30 minutes to get my room ready. Then you have to run the water 5 minutes to get hot water. But the worst it that when i woke up i saw ants all over the room. Went to the reception and the manager came to see the room and ask me to leave to have the room completely cleaned. When i came back i still had a lot of ants despite the room being "cleaned". When i went back to the reception they said that there is nothing else they can do. I decided to left and booked another hotel I tried ro cancel and get a refund but they didn't want to hear about. I have to stay in hotels every week end for my job so i thought being a genius 3 member with booking.com will help me but i was so wrong. Anyway, very disappointed by this hotel and group and by this poor customer service. I will of course dispute the charge though amex.

In addition, the hotel hosted an event for a group of friends which went incredible well. All the details from menu to music were planned and completed successfully

kenneth (2/5): MAIDS STEAL and go through your bags BE CAREFUL 👎 - I caught the maid going through my wife’s purse and through our luggage while we were having breakfast downstairs. We found $100.00 missing from my wife’s wallet and $100.00 missing from my wallet. I called the manager and he did nothing. Told me read the fine print not responsable for anything. Would not even check maids pockets because my wife would not let her leave the room until manager arrived. DO NOT STAY HERE the maids will go through all your stuff and steal from you. They also stole some makeup from my wife’s makeup bag. The management must be in on it to because they would not even search the maid when we caught her and wife contained her in the room until manager got there. Lesson learn here. We checked out Immediately. We heard other people had the same problem.

The room was very basic and I wasn’t handled a room key until couple hours later. *Room electricity doesn’t work without the room key so I spent couple hours without A/C, TV, etc...

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary included breakfast is tasty and filling. It has a rooftop bar and whirlpool tub. The room that I reserved had a Jacuzzi hot tub and it was fantastic. The cable was very limited in selection, but you could watch YouTube or Netflix. Very decent hotel that is reasonably priced. The property was neat, clean, and attractive

None of the staff spoke English. 2. The room was very small. 3. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. 4. The free breakfast wasn’t good and could only get one protein. I have stayed in 4 different hotels in Medellin and this was the worst of the four, but it was the cheapest by $5-$10 dollars a day, but in the future I will pay the higher amount to stay somewhere else.

Rykrot (8/5): Good hotel for the price, but manage your expectations! - Hotel Laureles Plaza is in a great location. Laureles is a wonderful neighborhood with lots of restaurants and green spaces. Definitely my new favorite part of the city to stay in. The hotel has a great breakfast. You can help yourself to cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and orange juice (something hard to find in Colombia) and they will bring you out a hot plate (you can choose from different options). The terrace is also a nice place to hang out and it has a big jacuzzi. The room also has a hair dryer which isn't common here. There are some cons to this hotel though which are worth mentioning because it did seem a little too good to be true when booking. They claim that there is a terrace bar available to guests. This is not true. It is only open for private events. We called to double check this and the guy on the phone said it's open on the weekends until 10 or 11pm and even in the elevator there is a sign saying to 'join us on the terrace after 6pm' with pictures of cocktails and the bar. The people working at the front desk said it's closed and only a cleaning lady I found upstairs told me I could bring drinks up from the restaurant. When we asked the restaurant they didn't offer cocktails just beer and they didn't even have a menu to order food. We were hungry and traveling with an infant so it was difficult to go out and look for something in the rain but they would only offer to make us meat plates and had no vegetarian options or pricing published. So it seems they make it up as they go. Also, the jacuzzi is nice but we only ever managed to enjoy it cold because they turn it off all the time so you have to request that they turn it on. It take at least an hour to get to a tolerable temperature (2-3 hours if you want it warm) so you have to request they heat it up ahead of time and then go up and check to make sure they did. Twice they didn't and so we had to start it ourselves when we got in. If there is a private event (which there was), they will tell you the terrace and jacuzzi are not available. The rooms are also smaller than the average hotel so you have to pay for a junior suite at least to get an average room size. At first glance they were clean but the blue pillows and bed liners probably hadn't been washed since the hotel opened and were covered in stains, some of which I'm sure were bodily fluids. Also a side note for foreign travelers: they are very strict on the IVA (tax) policy so you have to have certain visa types to not pay tax which it seems like most people don't qualify for according to the new laws. Most hotels are pretty relaxed with this, but they will check the small details. First time I have ever been charged tax and there was another guy fighting them at the same time for the same reason and he couldn't even speak Spanish.

The window seems to open to the outside but doesn't, it opens into an internal area with a glass room, creating a bit of a greenhouse effect and it never really cools down. No aircon.
