Wayne (8/5): Motel in Aspley - Within walking distance to most services including bus routes. Far enough away from Gympie road to reduce traffic noise. Vehicle entry to the motel is only from the east so you need to plan your approach and departure route. Office was not open, book online and a code for the unit door locks is sent to your phone .

Peter (8/5): The price was right. The location suited us to attend our daily events. - It was what we expected. Cheap option instead of paying huge prices of inter Brisbane. Bus transport into Brisbane a short walk to the bus stop. The non-attention / interaction with the management made the stay more private enjoyable stay. A Password door handle instead of gaining a key, a welcome pretext sent before arriving instead of a check in. If we need anything they were just a phone call away. Chermside shopping Centre just down the road and The Outback Steakhouse across the road. What a great meal we had. Room decor could be more colorful to freshen the room up. When l had a quick look out the back window view it was quite messy.

Ruth (7/5): A very well priced motel suitable for a short stay. Convenient to Chermside for shopping. - Room was clean and comfortable. There was NO traffic noise which was good. Similarly, there was no noise from neighbouring guests. Parking was easy with a large 4-wheel drive. We felt safe whilst in the motel. Very good location to stay whilst visiting Brisbane for the rugby league. Very close to Chermside where free buses depart from. A sign alerting us to the TV on/off process (near the TV switch between the 2 beds) would have been helpful. It must have been turned OFF the entire time we were there as we couldn't get the TV to work. We tried plugging other electrical items into the same power point for the TV and they didn't work. However, on departure we learnt about the switch.

I guess that's what helps keep the accommodation cost down. I will stay here again though, was very convenient for me and quiet, to get to my venue the next morning. Craig (1/5): Avoid, avoid, avoid - Blood on the sheets. Cleaner defended her sloppy work by implying we had used the bed but she clearly changed clean sheets. They also claimed we had a shower as reason for not refunding us, but the shower was needed to fill the jug as water can't be gotten from the basin as jug doesn't fit under it. Leaky shower then made it look like we had a shower. Went out of their way not to refund this until I threatened to complain to booking.com. This owner is not fit to be a booking.com host. Avoid, avoid, avoid Dishonest, filthy, went out of their way to avoid refunding by fabricating the truth.

I arranged with the mootel owner that we could be the last room cleaned. The location was good - buses weren't too far away and easy to walk to garages for provisions. Facilities included a microwave and toaster so we were able to cook breakfast and have snacks. I was disappointed with the swimming pool. It had a lot of leaves in it and the cleaner was left in it. I did not use it although I had intended to use it.

Our last day, our towels weren't changed. My wife reckons the floor was not clean as well. Is their Foxtel in the rooms. Otherwise, please take down that sign because that might be misleading.

Lee Booth (10/5): overall room was clean, bed was comfy . would recommend but not rooms 14/15 - Room was spacious Parking, Room 15 couldn't turn around due to a car being parked in a non allocated parking area. Had to reverse full length of property onto main road. uugghh

Des (4/5): - Not a lot External appearance, very poorly maintained, looks like a dump. Not good for Booking.com reputation, do you inspect properties you have on your system??? No direct contact with staff except cleaner. False advertising Web site says cable channels but despite external sign declaring Foxtel on ringing operators was told they hadn't had it for 3 years.

Christine (10/5): Aspley Pioneer Motel a good find - Comfortable, good sized room and queen bed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Reasonably priced and quiet. Central position for easy access from the north and close to shops and eateries. I bought fuel one block over for $1.56pl which was much better than at home and other parts of Brisbane. Was a bit daunted by there not being a person onsite but check-in was done over the phone and inputting the access code into the panel on the door handle worked out okay.
Greg (7/5): A good value for money motel that enabled me to get the elusive 'Z' for the Parkrun alphabet. - located in a great location ie just off the busy Gympie Road so surprisingly quiet, close to the Zillmere Parkrun and with an Outback Steakhouse directly across the street. A comfortable bed, good pillows and everything operated once you worked out where the control switches were. Prior to our arrival, we were sent our room number and the code to the door with that system working well! Our bathroom had a shower curtain which my wife isn't a fan of, but everything else was just fine!
