Good facilities. Most of the staff were friendly but some of the younger staff were quite rude and not helpful when I enquired about checking out and luggage storage facilities.

• Nick (4/5): Hostel too big, uncomfortable bunks in poorly accommodated rooms ie lack of individual bunk sockets - The beds were dreadful, springs felt through the night. Shared bunk rooms - no sockets for charging near bunk, no light for bunk. Although reserved a bottom bunk as requested, other room ‘mates’ were obviously workers (not back packers) on shifts (entering room late at night), unwashed smelly clothing hung around the room. The Lounge had a large TV - too loud, intrusive to other guests trying to read or chat.

• Ana Rita (7/5): Good stay - Everything was fine. The bedroom was nice and there were plenty of bathrooms. The lounge and kitchen had everything one might need. I liked the touch of there being a water dispenser in the lobby. The matresses were't great, felt like a water bed. Wished the shower facilities were more confortable. It would be nice to have a little bench, some shelves, because there was nowhere to place your things and clothes. Be advised the location is a 20 min walk to the city center and there's so supermarkets and such close by.

• Sarah (8/5): Séjour agréable à Inverness - J'ai loué une chambre individuelle pour ma fille et moi donc c'était très bien pour notre intimité d'autant plus qu'il y avait également une salle de bain privative. La chambre et les salles communes sont propres et agréables et le personnel très acceuillants. Au mois d'avril il faisait encore froid. Du chauffage et plus de couvertures auraient été plus confortable mais je n'ai pas eu particulièrement froid pour autant.

• Sian Kedma (7/5): Convenable de passage - Bon rapport qualité/prix. Personnel avenant. Logement plutôt propre. Établissement dans l'ensemble un peu vieillot. Parking vite bondé sans solution si plus de places disponibles. On a eu la chambre attenante à celle du personnel et des affiches nous indiquaient de ne pas faire de bruit donc probablement isolation pas dingue. J'ai été piqué par un bout d'aiguille qui était enfoncée dans le matelas, ce qui était plutôt désagréable.

There are no charging outlets/connectors for phones near the beds. There is no numbering on the beds, so guests do not know whether a bed is occupied or not.

• LINA (6/5): Uncomfortable nights - The price I understand that the room wasn't expensive; however, one of the beds didn't have a light, there was no space to charge cell phones, there was only one electrical outlet for a room of six people, and there were only four lockers. Also, it doesn't make sense to leave a group of women in front of the men's bathroom. Isn't there any way to take that into account when dividing the rooms? Furthermore, when the staff was asked for directions, they responded with "check on Google."

• Dimitris Greece (4/5): Could be a good stay, but the room I stayed in was a total mess... - Cleanliness was quite good and the hostel could easily be reached on foot from Inverness downtown. Bunks quite comfortable. I arrived at the hostel at about 23:30, having already given them a notice of that in advance, both by email and by telephone. They had promised that someone would be there to open the door for me. However, I had to knock the door several times but nobody appeared. Finally, I managed to enter, because an already guest came to the hostel and opened the door by their magnetic card. I checked-in and asked the guy on duty what was the number of my bed. He answered that I could sleep wherever I found a non-occupied bed in the dorm! When I entered the dorm, all beds were occupied by sleeping guests except for one upper bunk. To my great surprise, I noticed that the bedding looked like one where someone had recently been lying down. I went back to the front desk and reported it, but the guy came to the room and, seeing what I was talking about, said that he thought it was OK. Since it was already midnight, I felt there wasn’t much else I could do, so I reluctantly accepted the suggestion. Then, I realized there wasn’t a locker available for me, since everyone was just putting their things wherever they wanted. I left all my things outside and lay down to sleep. Also, there was no outlet to charge my phone at the bed. Of course, I don’t think the bed I slept in wasn’t made by the accommodation staff, but one of my roommates in the dorm had taken that specific bed earlier, maybe the night before, maybe they didn’t like it, and as soon as the bed I was going to use was made, they moved out before I arrived, without taking the bedding they had already used. I have a hunch about who he was, because when I arrived and muttered something to myself before complaining to the staff member, he made a gesture indicating that I should go to that specific bed. In any case, the least the staff should have done was to make sure I had clean sheets, since they saw me complaining....

No hooks to hang coats or towels. Bed mattress not comfortable. No privacy curtains. Hand dryers don’t work in bathroom. Only one hook, no bench, in shower. Inadequate laundry facilities limited hours. Desk not staffed 24/7.
• Laura (9/5): Nice place but small a few shortcomings - Large kitchen, dining area, well equipped, clean. Nice lounge and reception lobby. Staff friendly and helpful. Not too far walk to town. #1: only one electrical outlet in room of six bunks…do they not realize that charging items is imperative for traveling? Mattress cheap. No privacy curtains. No hooks to hang coats, towels (singular hangar is useless on lower bunk) in rooms or toilet. One hook at shower, no bench. 4 lockers for 6 bunks. Hand air dryers in toilets don’t work. Laundry facilities limited hours usually unavailable. No 24 hour staff at reception.

• Pilar (8/5): Para repetir - A pesar de ser antiguo estaba en muy buenas condiciones y bastante limpio. Nuestra habitación tenía un lavabo dentro y me pareció muy buena idea. El desayuno merece bastante la pena. Repetiría, lo recomiendo

Chambre dépouillée- principe de l'auberge de jeunesse. C'est une bonne auberge de jeunesse. Le bruit des colocataires. On entend absolument tout car les murs sont très fins. Vu sur un mur. Emplacement... loin de tout.

• Andemo13 (8/5): Prima verblijf voor weinig geld - Een mooi complex, aangename staf die erg helpvol is. Grote keuken met alles bij de hand. Supermarkt op 5 minuten lopen, centrum op 10 minuten lopen Op mijn kamer sliepen we met 6 personen en ze wilden het raam. Iet open doen. Kan het hotel niks aan doen, maar dat kan je dus overkomen.
