Important Information

Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit and debit cards are accepted excluding American Express. All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hosteling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund). Individual reservations (Up to 9 people) - can cancel free of charge until 7 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the 7 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged. Groups reservations (more than 9 people) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56 - 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel. Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hosteling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancelation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used. From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodations. Parties with young children (under 12 years) will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available Hosteling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when traveling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodations is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Check-in from 16.00 until 21.00 and check-out from 10.00. The hostel is open 24 hours a day.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Gordon (8/5): - Great welcome at check in, shown to room and apartment facilities. Good kitchen setup. Overall met needs at a very reasonable price point. A bedside lamp could have improved the room experience. The bed frame and mattress were of a lower standard but not unexpected at a hostel.

Cleanliness and comfort was really good so housekeeping do a good job Building is secure via a fob key so to get to the bedroom you have to go via two doors with the fob and bedroom has a key, very safe Mybe please keep some 10ps for the washing machine and tumble dryer at reception and spare change Washing Machine costs 3.10 a wash and 1.90 for the tumble dryer cycle but does not give change and reception do not have change to give. Can not pay by contactless
Jennifer (8/5): Lovely hostel & spacious, great location to access Perth & the A9 - Very clean and spacious, loved the balcony and the children loved having their own bedrooms for the night! Views were lovely too. I hadn’t put enough thought into booking and checking access, two flights of stairs was tough on my Hubbie (copd)but this was Absoloutely my fault not the hostels, I should have asked on booking. He managed though as we just were staying one night.

alex (5/5): It's good for the money - It was cheap, good for just a bed for the night while passing through. Decent kitchen to use. The emergency lighting has a very bright green light in it that indicates it's working. This stays on all night, it's like having a green night light on. I was very tempted to disconnect the light from the wiring. It's no wonder students can't sleep.

Ruth (4/5): Really disappointing. - Floors were clean. Reception staff polite and friendly. Dirty duvets. Two of the three duvets had stains on them, one had what appeared to be a blood stain on a corner and the other had widespread orange stains across it. Discovered one mattress was filthy when stripping beds before leaving. Had to sleep under empty duvet cover as could not use such filthy duvets. Electric shower could not hold a steady temperature - went from burning hot to very cold and back with no warning.

You did exceed my expectations. I did not use the kitchen facilities so cannot comment. My only issue was the “fire exit”? lighting in the bedroom which was extremely bright and I needed to keep the wardrobe door open in order to soften the glare. I presume a necessity but must it be so intrusive? Sorry - read above

Pau (10/5): Residència universitària molt moderna i funcional - L'allotjament és una residència universitària molt moderna, que en estiu està pràcticament buida. Tant l'habitació com els espais comuns estan molt bé, i té tot el necessari per poder estar-hi i cuinar. Tot estava molt net. A més està molt ben situat tant per a accedir a Perth com per a seguir ruta per carretera. L'entorn és molt tranquil. La comoditat dels llits.

Francesco (8/5): - Appartamenti degli studenti usati d'estate per affitti brevi, son stanze molto spartane e basiche, ma per una notte vanno bene Sono stanze singole, letto un po' scomodo e sfondato, una delle due aveva problemi la doccia, nell'altra andava bene.

Love to travel (7/5): - I asked for the coldest room and I got it. The view wasn't existed ( to a huge bush) but in case of heat it would be great. Single rooms are on ground floor. I guess each floor has nice kitchen w freezer, fridge, microwave...balcony.... Big parking.
Natalie (10/5): Excellent will be back! - Location was superb. Bus stop right outside on the main road that could take us in to town. Plenty parking. Rooms clean. Access to shared kitchen with a lovely seating area and balcony. Plenty sockets. Spacious. Nice pressure in shower. Heated towel rail. Staff friendly and helpful in getting me numbers for taxis later on. The only teeny tiny thing that I have to pick for this is that there were no bedside lights.

Matthew Fraser (7/5): Basic but good, ruined by a selfish idiot - Staff excellent, basic room and basic facilities but clean. Bring your own towel. Need an additional pillow as the one supplied was woefully inadequate Not the staff’s fault but a drunk or drugged up guest in floor above was signing, shouting, stomping and banging the floor on and off ‘till 2 in the morning, tried to ask for quiet to no avail. Had a very poor sleep and had to be up at 7 o’clock. Ruined what could have been a pleasant stay. Was advised, when I mentioned this in the morning, I should have called, but the number was over in reception which is outside in a different annex. How was I to know, not difficult to post notices in the rooms.

We had a bungalow that was perfect as we had our own garden and the weather was lovely I didn't like the fact there was so many people walking past late at night. It would be beneficial for gates to be put back up for safety.

Anche se si tratta di un ostello ad un prezzo relativamente economico, purtroppo lo abbiamo trovato molto sporco (e noi siamo persone che viaggiano e alloggiano ovunque). Pavimento del bagno con capelli e polvere, moquette molto macchiata e imbottitura del piumino pure. Basterebbe uno sforzo minimo per rendere il tutto più gradevole, un vero peccato.
