Guest Reviews
- Johanna (10/5): -
- Manuela (7/5): We had a wonderful time! - The view is incredible! The location is the best on the island. The staff is fantastic, happy, helpful and so hardworking! The pool is great and has the best view! Beds were confortable. The staff and the view made our stay unforgettable! Thank you Yuni for your kindness! We were expecting the family room as a whole bungalow, however we had two bungalows attached to each other, which wasn't a big deal for us. One of the bungalow was a bit older and had few termites and bugs.
- Lehi (9/5): -
- Stephen (6/5): Great day thoroughly enjoyed it - The view was amazing nice little hut to stay in The roads are nightmare to get there it’s probably easier staying on the flat but then a lot of the roads are pretty rough
- Miekos71 (8/5): -
- Brendan (10/5): Really nice out of the way spot to relax and take in the view - Great view of the water and staff are super friendly
- Anass (8/5): -
- Bowen (8/5): - The staff were the best part of the stay! Amazing couple and they will cook good food for you! The view is also 10/10. For the price it’s unbeatable. The view and the staff were amazing.
- Nidia (8/5): The perfect area for a relaxing - The place is conveniently located close from jungut batu port, the view from the room was fantastic, the staff were incredible friendly and also the place is situated in a quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing. The door from the bathroom can't be closed properly, and the road to the hotel a little broken.
- Bailing (2/5): Do not go there, it’s absolutely not 8.0 - Absolutely horrible stay. Rooms are dirty and broken. Electricity ran out for 6 hours and the staff wouldn’t reload the credit for us to have electricity.
Pool dirty, no pumps running, basically infested by mosquitoes in the stagnant water. Stayed only one night instead 2.
- Dewi (5/5): Passable - Breakfast and view Too many mosquitoes at night
- Alisha (8/5): Very good -
- Dewi (10/5): Exceptional - The view is just stunning! The cottages are located on the upper land of the island, which is very quiet and pleasent.
The cottages have distances, that offers enough privacy to each of the guest.
- Victoria (5/5): Passable - The sunrise view Dirtiness and absolute absence of personal
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Audrey was lovely Nothing
- Phoebe (3/5): Poor - Great view No warning about the terrible road to arrive.
The door of the room and the bathroom didn’t close properly so was difficult to maintain the cold in the room although the ac was barely functioning.
There was no running water unless you asked for it at reception but even then they didn’t leave it on longer than 5 minutes.
- Dean (9/5): Superb - Amazing views and great pool! Staff were great!!
- Yulia (10/5): Stayed there for a few nights and loved it! - The sunrise view over the pool and ocean is out of this world, it was extra special to be able to watch it directly out of the room. Very quiet and peaceful area, it’s a bit off the main streets so I would recommend to rent a scooter if staying there.
- Laura (7/5): Lovely spot but quite far from beach and restaurants - Nice comfy bed, good pool and nice staff. Lovely view It was too far away from the main area/ beach, lovely area if you want to stay out of the way and relax by the pool, but too far from restaurants and the beach to walk, plus the road up there was quite rough and taxis were about $15AUD each way. Also the shower head in our hut was just a hose.
- Jenna (1/5): Horrible Run. Moldy Pool, No water in rooms for toilet/shower. Poor management. - Nothing. Pool was extremely dirty and moldy. They also turn the water off to your rooms throughout the day. So you have no bathroom or water. Impossible to find staff to get them to fix it and turn it back on. I contacted the manager and he read the message and never replied. Run from this property.
- Thiago (8/5): Very good -
- Fouad (3/5): Bad location dirty room - The sunrise view was incredible The location is very very far from the town 30 min by motorcycle, room is dirty. No management at all. Light are closed in the night no one at reception if emergency, they late checked me in because no body at reception. In general not recommended.
- Juhana (3/5): Rat in room - Stunning view There was rat in our room first night so we couldnt sleep much.. When we arrived we got room with faulty bathroom door that didnt cover the whole doorway and there were many bees. We changed to another room that had same problem but at least the door was functioning and no bees. At first night we woke up to hear rat eating something behind our fridge. It ran up the wall to the roof when I clank the fridge. I informed the staff and they gave me bug spray… We couldnt sleep much after that and had to keep lights on whole night. The room floors and walls were also dirty and dusty. Ours bags got very dirty when we placed them on the froor. On the first evening water outages started and lasted to next day. We had booked a day trip and it was very annoying to try do your morning routines without running water and we were almost late from boat and had to skip the paid breakfast. After the day trip we came back to tell the staff that we could not stay another night there due to a problems in their place but there were no staff around. We waited almost an hour and after that texted their number wo any answer. While after that stuff member came and we told them about the problems and that we have to leave and only thing he answered was ”do you need taxi?”. No apologys or refunds or anything. So we just left there confused. I highly recommend avoiding this place. The place is understaffed and had had serious management problem. Its not worth the view. Oh, and the pool water was cloudy..
- Hannah (8/5): Fantastic stay - Incredible view and staff. Pool was beautiful and the food was great. I would stay here again.
- Mathivathani (5/5): Not really great other than the views from the resort . - Nice view from the location . We stayed there for one night . The room they gave us has no lock from outside . Even you lock the room in side there are some space In-between the door and the wall . Shower has no shower tab only one tube from the roof So uncomfortable. Bit far from beach .
- Antonin (9/5): Superb -
- Elen (5/5): Passable - Amazing view Very isoleted, the bathroom was pretty dirty and the hall/reception/dining room very dirty.
- Shannen (7/5): Stunning view, kinda get what you pay for! Comfy but basic rooms - The view was absolutely spectacular. The bathroom door was really hard to close. I booked 3 rooms and they all had issues, mainly in the bathroom. There were also other guests that were partying at the pool till like midnight and a beeping coming from reception that kept me awake which I mentioned to host but didn't get a response.
- Cindy (2/5): Great location, poor facilities - Location and view Doors were warped and didn't close properly. Leaking under sink. Holes in curtains. Only soap, no other toiletries. Holes in mosquito net. Shower broken.Weeds in garden. Pool full of garbage.
Great location but facilities old, worn and dysfunctional. Place really needs a revamp.
- Briea (6/5): Pleasant - The host and owner she was so helpful with everything. She booked my taxi to dinner and my snorkeling trip. I was also sick and she brought me water and rice. The location. You have to rent a motorbike or buy a taxi everywhere you go. It would be fine staying here with family or friends but alone it was not the best place for a solo traveler.
- Betti (8/5): Best view, rooms where ok but mosquitoes (doors didn’t close properly) - The location is a little outside of the touristy zone so really nice to stay to chill and relax far from the animation Nothing to eat, the restaurant and breakfast was closed and when you arrive late at night after 24h of travelling didn’t felt like going out for diner
- Ryan (6/5): 6 out of 10 - View wise its exceptional The facilities are not that great, AC not cold, noise from next door villa exhaust
- Bernadette (4/5): - The view is amazing. The pool looks amazing.
The pool had broken light in the water and exposed wires ! It wasn’t switched on but looked dangerous.
There was no hot water available in the bathroom during our stay.
The outdoor shower area was very dirty and the sliding door did not slide at all. The slide fittings were rusted and needed to be repaired.
The staff were friendly. The mosquito net was full of holes and had dirty stains all over it.
The umbrellas at the pool are completely broken and guest’s cannot get any shade during the day by the pool.
The view is amazing. The place is unkept and run down.
- Haworth (9/5): Superb - Staff were lovely, helped us with mo ped hire and boat trips, pool was great and rooms were perfect. Would stay here again
- Liza (10/5): Perfect stay and lovely team, thank you ! 🫶🏼 - Perfect stay and lovely team, thank you ! 🫶🏼
- Rouchelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Petra (8/5): Very good -
- Jie (1/5): disaster - The breakfast has little to choose and not appetizing. Staying at Sunrise Hut Hotel was an absolute disaster! It was the worst experience of my life. We booked for 2 nights, but couldn't bear it anymore and left on the second night.
Firstly, Blue Dream Island is extremely hot, and this hotel experiences frequent power outages! Unable to charge our phones or turn on the air conditioning, the heat was unbearable. I messaged the owner, who took ages to reply with just a "please wait."
Furthermore, there were way too many insects in the room. It was crawling with ants, making my skin crawl. The mosquito net on the bed had holes, and I got bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping.
Moreover, communication was poor. I couldn't understand why the staff would start laughing during our conversation. Their laughter seemed malicious and mocking. When I asked why they were laughing, they didn't respond.
Additionally, the hotel's pool was not clean; the bottom was covered in sand. The breakfast was also not appetizing.
Lastly, the hotel's shuttle fee was exorbitant. Other hotels charge much less for transporting guests to the pier.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Frances (9/5): A beautuful hidden gem, with gorgeous helpful staff who were so accomodating. Will be back x - Omg it was incredibly beautiful. The infinity pool was magic. It was the most calming, peaceful, tranquil place. Staff went above and beyond. We had our 11 yo old daughter travelling with us, she slotted in perfectly. Loved how it sat up in the hills away from main drag. The rooms were clean, but wasn’t anywhere to put towels or books or just things. Suitcases on floor so always bending down sorting through case. We had 2 rooms because we had 3 of us and only suited 2 person per room. But I found a ladder in the second bathroom so I used that to hang wet towels. Would have been hood having one each room? Also shower was a hose sticking out of pipe. It was genius. Bit old school, not luxury, but did the job.
- Elvira (9/5): Sunrise Ocean Huts Staying - Amazing view from rooms and pool. A bit far from the beach, but you can't take a taxi - scooter - to get anywhere on the island.
Nice food - breakfast pancakes and lunch/dinner seafood grill 😋
Sunrise is one of the best ever seen. Nothing.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Great location and good value for the price we payed.
- Caylee (8/5): Very good -
- Fanny (9/5): Superb - Beautiful view of the bay. Nice place for a sunrise. A little bit far from the center.
- Alina (5/5): All in all: if you are lucky and you get a clean room without ants and if the shower works all the time and if you don’t - The opportunity to see the sunrise is really great. While often a bit cloudy in the morning, you can still see beautiful colors on the horizon almost every single day (be aware though that the sun is at first a bit blocked by the neighboring island - I think the photos provide a fair of what you can expect).
Overall the facilities surrounding the huts are beautiful. The pool looks stunning at every time of the day, especially during sunrise and at night with the little light installations.
When we arrived we were greeted very warmly by one of the employees at Oceans Hut which made us feel welcome.
The owner organized us a transfer from the airport to the Accommodation for 600k (for 2ppl) which turned out to be a fair price.
What are neutral about: We read about the condition of the road leading to the huts and were worried, as we have little to no experience driving a scooter. However, we found that when driving carefully, this was not really an issue for us and we got used to it quickly. We rented a not-well-maintained scooter from the accommodation. The huts are very simply made and we think you get what you pay for. Two things irked us a bit: 1)
the bathroom was really a bit more a dated than we had hoped and 2) we had an ant highway in our room. Especially at night, loads of ants would walk on the wall furthest from the end, which was ok for the first 2 of our 5 nights. However, they then decided to crawl all over our toothbrush and amenity stuff, which we had try to hide from them in a spot we had deemed safe. We asked the staff to please help us with the ant situation, and they said they would do so on the next day. However, that never happened, despite us also texting the owner on Booking.com who chose to ignore us. Unfortunately, at this point, the friendly guy who greeted us on day 1 was not to be found anymore and replaced by less warm and reliable staff.
On two days we did not have working water. Once only at night, the other time in the morning when we wanted to get ready for our day. Again, the owner chose to ignore our message on booking and chose not to reply when we pointed this out (we had hooded for quick fix before we leave in the morning).
So two days before we left we tried one last time to address that we were feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the shower not working, ants not being cleared out and the unreliability/ unresponsiveness of the staff/ owner, but again, we got no reply.
Also, there seemed to be a cleaning service, as our bed was made on the second day. This was not repeated for the remaining 5 days though, which we found a bit strange.
Finally, on our day of departure we had booked a taxi to Lembongan Harbour, but the staff apparently forgot it and we had to get a new one booked in the morning (which then arrived 30min later than what we had discussed). If we hadn’t calculated in 1hr for the drive that’s only 3km, we would have missed the boat.
- Oumaima (9/5): Superb - The view was amazing
The staff so nice
- Rudy (3/5): Didn't meet expectations - Staff and view Location: too far from everything and rough road to get there (coming from an experienced rider)
Amenities: no hot water, no real shower (hose with only cold water), rusty and dirty bathroom (located outside, open air), bedroom door didn't close properly and can't look room
Wifi: very poor, not working.
Price: not good value for money
- Orla (10/5): Exceptional - The views were amazing, the staff were so friendly especially Andre who looked after us and the food was really good! Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location. Food amazing. Staff fantastic. Will definitely stay here again. Oh and sunrise is spectacular
- Alasdair (4/5): The spot has great potential with some investment. In the meantime very cheap which makes it good value. - Lovely views, especially of sunrise. Nice people. Was in need of repair. Quite difficult to get to main areas of island (100% need scooters).
- Giyora (8/5): Very nice staff - Amazing breathtaking views! Sweet and very helpful staf, all of them are very nice people!
Nice swimming pool, very clean bed sheets and very clean and good smelling towels. The rooms we got were dated, and the shower wasn't in a good condition. The rooms were too dark because of the wooden walls. We expected more for the price we paid, but over all we had a nice experience there
- Stacie (10/5): Perfect location- friendly staff & great food. Outdoor shower 👌 - Location was Amazing- staff were beautiful- good food at a low price- made with love- would 120% stay again- the little huts were just big enough- we were only ever in them to sleep- outside shower ❤️
- Kira (7/5): Good - The view is amazing. Staff helped us organize boat tickets and rested scooters for us. Road to the place is really bad.
The place has potential but needs maintanance and fixing a lot of small broken things.
Swimming pool wasn't clean and had broken tiles and lights.
Breakfast was very basic.
Not all of the huts have a great view.
- Bart (7/5): Good -
- Peter (8/5): Would definitely stay again, especially because of the wonderful staff and amazing view. - The staff here are incredible and helpful, the view is spectacular and the pool was lovely. There are nice places to eat nearby. Sitting on the balcony and watching the sunrises with my family is one of my fondest memories of our time on Lembongan. The rooms were definitely a bit more rustic than I expected, however the beds were super comfortable and there was everything we needed. The shower was fine for us, however fussier folks might not appreciate the rustic charm. There were a lot of steps to our room. Shower needs updating
- Marisa (9/5): Superb - Beautiful view, the infinity pool was great, the cottages were clean, the staff was super nice & helped us with everything we needed. It was perfect!
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Very peaceful with stunning views. Staff are very easy going and helpful. Great price.
If you're up for an adventure and some seclusion it's perfect. Room wasnt replenished with restroom towels or paper. Some broken tiles in bathroom. Kitchen had limited food. The roads were very broken for scooter travel which made it hard.
- Anonymous (10/5): I would definitely recommend this stay! - The view was so nice and the staff was very friendly.
They helped us with transfer and scooter rental. The water wasn’t working some times.
- Marissa (8/5): Calm place to stay in lembongan - - friendly staff
- great pool
- nice view
- scooter rental - wifi didn‘t really work sometimes
- the hotel is a little in the nowhere (a really bumpy road) the driver from mushroom bay wasn’t able to find it so it took us like 45 min to get there. You can’t find it on google maps, so the best app to get the directions is APPLE MAPS. All the other ones let us to different streets that don’t exist.
- Roberta (8/5): Peaceful area - Lovely location, although a long way from anywhere.
Great views and very relaxing atmosphere.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Some of the tiles in the pool were broken and my daughter cut herself, the door to the bathroom was broken and didn’t close properly, the restaurant for evening meal was open but very very limited on what there was.
One night all the water had been turned off, and no staff around to sort it until the morning.
- Victoria (9/5): Superb - Hotel is great! Staff were very helpful and views are stunning!! Towels could be changed and beds could be made , doesn't need to be everyday but once every other. Could potentially run a shuttle service from hotel to town.
- Jasmine (7/5): Good - the staff were super friendly and helpful. the views are beautiful the bathroom was very dirty. we asked for one of our huts locks to be fixed but unfortunately the lock was broken for the entire stay. the property is very far from everything.
- Peter (8/5): Relaxing place - The service was excelent by side of the staff they solved all the needs. The view was the same as on the picturs and the sunnrise is breathtaking. The room was confortable and clean. If you looking for a pleasant place for relaxing, I can reccomand this place. Good to know the Hut's located in Ancak village which is far from the vibes and beaches.
(9/5): A very memorable trip that I will always remember. - The hotel is in a very beautiful setting, arguably one of the most beautiful hotels on lembongan, facing the sea, with an infinity pool, detached chalets and very good value for money. The only downside is that it is a little bit far from the city, but since the island is so small, you can get there very quickly by renting a motorbike. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and we recommend staying there! The light at the door of the room is broken and needs to be repaired. Hope to provide more choices of motorcycles, because the location of the hotel is indeed far away. So I think it is very important to solve the traffic problem of the guests, and maybe add big motorcycles, quad bikes and other options.
- Eimear (10/5): Amazing - The host Citra couldn’t have been more helpful. She was always at hand to organise whatever we needed. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The view is also amazing and the pool is lovely. We would definitely return. Nothing
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Elsa (8/5): Very good - - The view was amazing!
- Nice pool
- Breakfast was good
- The snorkelingtrip we booked via the accomodation was amazing! And for a good price.
- Scooter rent is available
- Bed was comfy and the ac worked
- Room was big and there was a small fridge - Too bad the bar was closed, would have liked to get some drinks to enjoy the view.
- The location is a bit remote, but this makes it a quite spot on the island. There are some good warungs within walking distance (maximum 5 min. walking)
- Anna (3/5): Poor - stunning view and pool 2 mice in my room and still paid full price. location is not the best
- Gladys (10/5): Worth the price! very beautiful place with a magnificent view! - It was a beautiful place and the staff were all friendly!
- Alberto (8/5): Better that I thought when I got there. - The property is amazing and the views are out of this world. The staff is very friendly and always ready to make the experience over the top. Special mentioned to Citra best person that I met in my Trip in Bali. I bit disappointed to get the hotel, the way
Is very bumpy and not easy to find the place. The property needs maintenance, the garden, the bar and breakfast area, the room is good for value but could be better with some improving. The hotel has potential to be one of the best place to stay in Lembongan but the place is bit under maintenance.
- Joanna (10/5): Can’t wait to return - The most beautiful view. Outdoor bathroom which was a wonderful experience and the staff could not do more for you! Nothing - slightly hidden away, but there were free shuttles to get everywhere around the island.
- Lindblom (9/5): Great place to stay and enjoy the view - It was an amazing place with a great view; the pool was nice and my bungalow was big, clean and comfortable! It was very lonely and I hope more travellers will stay at this amazing place in the future. The owner told me that they will build a yoga retreat and that would be the perfect place for it!
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful views, very comfortable, amazing host who was very caring and helpful with organising travels and plans
- Kamil (9/5): Superb - The place has one of the best views on Nusa. Houses are comfy and the Stuff is lovely !
- Kerrod (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariss (9/5): All things considered, we will surely return! - stunning views over the chanel between the two islands and even more importantly an amazing staff who are always there to help with anything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the location is remote and the road leading to hotel is extremely bumpy
- Mark (10/5): Beautiful accommodation and family! - Beautiful property with an amazing view! The huts were so cosy! Sitra was a lovely host, she helped organise our boat to Nusa Penida and cooks some amazing food! I will be making that Balinese sauce when I get home 😊 Thank you for a lovely stay! Nothing
- Julien (10/5): Wonderful stay in Sunrise Ocean Hut's - What a place! We had a wonderful stay in Sunrise Ocean Hut's so that we decided to stay 3 additional nights.
All of the staff was really kind with us and with our 2 years old son. They found us solutions for all what we asked
The place is quiet, the view is incredible and we had a lot of great time around the swimming pool.
I recommend @ 100%, there will be no other place we'll come if we're back in Lembongan!
- Lisa-marie (8/5): Very good - Very nice and helpful staff. nice swimming pool with a nice view. the light outside next to our room was on all night, which made it a little difficult to fall asleep, however not all rooms face the light.
- Javier (10/5): peaceful and exceptional - beautiful amenities and views, the staff is very friendly, the receptionist lady was absolutely delightful! Definitely a come back
- Tim (10/5): This was our best stay on Bali. Our son and partner had been here before and recommended this. - Our host Citra and family were very caring, generous, thoughtful and warm. Nothing
- Filip (10/5): Great to enjoy your stay in Lembongan Island. - Location close to the Yellow Bridge, nice infinity pool, quiet area, nice view from the apartment, delicious breakfast, nice host.
- Jennifer (10/5): Amazing!! - The view is STUNNING. The pool is great! The rooms are great and just what we needed at an AMAZING price. Hands down the staff was very attentive to us. If I go back I will be staying at Sunrise Huts for sure. They set up our snorkel tour and provided cars/scooters.
- linda (10/5): Parfait - Comme à la maison. Propriétaire hyper sympa. Vous pouvez louer un scooters sur place. Resto avec vue imprenable.piscine aussi.
Parfait.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rotte....
Men..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an amazing place to stay and the staff, particularly the owners, are unbelievably helpful. It is definitely out of the way but if you want somewhere quiet, serene and with a gorgeous view, this is the place. The staff will help you with anything you need: scooters, taxis, tours, translations. A lot of restaurants on the island also do free pickup and drop-off for dinner (meaning they will pick you up in a taxi, take you to dinner, then drop you home when you are done). The huts are basic with a big comfy bed and an attached bathroom. Ours was down the hill and felt secluded enough for us to sit on the balcony some nights playing cards and having a drink. Overall, it was heavenly and we owe a huge debt to the staff for helping us so much. Thank you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay, great staff - Amazing staff, very friendly and happy to help! A couple of streets behind the beach. Lovely big room with big bathroom
Beliggenhed: Man SKAL have en scooter ellers kommer du ingen vegne.
- Verified traveler (6/5): I would not stay here again - It was a bungalow. With outside bathroom. Not my kind of tea. Staff speaks poor English and the road to the hotel was difficult to go to by vespa
- jarrod (10/5): - Great views from the pool and friendly service they went out of there way to help
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Like: Review - Staff
Not like: wait too long for your breakfast
cottages are dated
- kath (10/5): - Stunning location to watch the amazing Balinese sunrise, no disappointment. Great outlook of Penida and Cenington.. Staff very attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly rate the huts loved the outdoor bathroom. Will stay again when I return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely place, isolated location - Sunrise Huts is a really lovely place. The pool actually does look like the photos, and the room was really nice. If you want to have a peaceful and relaxing break then it's perfect. However it's slightly in the middle of nowhere and a good 20-minute drive up a bumpy hill with winding roads to get anywhere else. There aren't any other restaurants or shops around. So if you don't want to just have some relaxation time and don't want to go anywhere, and are happy to eat all your meals there, it's fine. But if you want to go elsewhere you will need to hire a scooter or get a taxi.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sunset view from the hotel is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Location is good in lembogan but also close to Nusa Ceningan as long as you take a scooter its fine. Food is nice and friendly staff. Overall great! I would highly recommend it!
