Guest Reviews
- Scott (1/5): Wrong lock box with wrong code to open. Dirty unit and wouldn’t be ready until after 6. - Did get a chance to have breakfast there. We never got keys and couldn’t get access to the room. Communication. We asked for early check in. When she got to the room at 3:45 lock box code didn’t work. Finally after waiting for a long time where maintenance person said room wouldn’t be ready until after 6. We had to go find another hotel. So they had the wrong lock box on the door and we never got a chance to stay. Still waiting for a refund. If nothing is done I will make sure the word gets out about how I had a terrible experience after driving 4 hours. I can be reached at 559-7866800
- Ruth (8/5): Very good -
- Moua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property Manager provided the wrong building access code. We had to find somebody at the Management office for the correct code. Other than that, everything else was perfect.
- Chong (8/5): Nice apartment. No wifi and hard to contact staff to help. - Like the apartment, it is very spacious and kitchen is a big one. Wifi wasn’t available or wasn’t working in our unit during our stay which was very inconvenient. Also I wasn’t able to registered to connect to staff to ask for help, so had problem checking into the apartment. Went to Leasing office and Louie was very helpful and helped us checked in and able to get into our apartment. Kitchen - would be nice to have at least some salt and pepper available to use.
- Chris (8/5): - Not close to anything but very large suite
- Mark (6/5): Place is average for the price, but the noise outside across the road is awful - Room was clean and comfortable Too much noise, deliveries across the road at 4am and 5am in the morning, off loading from a lorry, Car Parking permit handover was a disaster after many emails to explain where I had left it, the front desk team are not really there to help as there are more of a sales team for apartments, lack of kitchen equipment , I had to request a kettle, I had to buy a frying pan
- Ian (6/5): “Luxury” is a bit misleading… - No hot water in the morning, water pressure was very poor. Room smelled of chemicals / cleaning solution to the point of being over powering.
Half the treadmills in the gym were broken.
- Jacquelyn (10/5): - The unit was beautiful with windows and two bedrooms. The place was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the deck. It was perfect for meeting our needs three girlfriends traveling together. We enjoyed the pool and the terrace deck as well. I’m glad I chose this location.
- Monica (3/5): Good unit, very few provisions (no salt/pepper/oil, very little detergent/soaps) - It was really difficult to figure out how to get to the unit. Even though a map was provided, it was not easy to decipher. Poor directions, and SUPER noisy neighborhood. There is a pet hotel next door, where the dogs howl all night, every night.
- Diana (7/5): Good but needs improvement. - Comfortable bed, lots of space, decently equipped kitchen, clean design, nice pool, ease of using key fob. The hallways were very dirty, the washer in the unit didn't work, the cabinet door was falling off in the bathroom, and one of the recessed lights in the kitchen was hanging out of the ceiling. These seem like basic maintenance things that could have been checked.
- Bilal (7/5): This is a strange place for sure and I have mixed feelings about it all. Overall I would not stay here again if I could - Common areas were excellent. Pool and lounge and work rooms were beautiful. Unit itself is large and spacious. Relatively new. Very convenient having a laundry machine in the unit. Balcony was a plus though nothing much to see. Zero staff. You have to figure everything out on your own. There is no one to help you, no front desk. No one to ask for extra towels, missing items in unit, any issues with the property and you’re on your own. You have a question about how to get in to the common areas while you wait for the unit to be cleaned? You’re on your own. We stood waiting for someone to let us in bc you can’t get any keys or access. This is maddening. You feel like a squatter trying to break in. No one answers your chat, and a phone call will direct you to customer service out of the country.
The unit itself was also bare bones missing some basic items. This is unbelievable considering it’s supposedly “luxury suites” with “world-class furnishings.” If this place was cheap, then okay, but this isn’t a cheap place. I could have gotten 2 hotel rooms at a nice place for this price.
Missing items below… if you are prepared for this ahead of time and able to get a discounted stay, maybe it’s worth your while for the space and kitchen.
- no tissue boxes… even the motel 6 provides this.
- they give you the tiniest shampoo bottle per bathroom for a party of 5 staying multiple days.
- oven with not even one baking dish, cooking sheet, or any oven safe cookware. how does this make sense. I had to use a stainless steel pan to bake in.
- the tiniest 2’x2’ square dining table?? It was so bizarre. Huge space and the tiniest table you can barely fit four people on it. It was better suited for 2 people. Yet, this was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment.
- no extra towels. If you’re staying multiple days, be prepared to do laundry to get clean towels. No pool towels either, so do even more laundry. Yet, they only provide you with one packet of soap to do one load of laundry to wash their towels. So you gotta go buy your own laundry detergent.
I was so excited about this place and wanted to love it. But I just did not.
- Joke (9/5): Favorite place to stay for a MPK visit - I love these apartments. Perfect for a company visit.
Had I little issue with the receipt but customer service reached out and resolved my issue without delay.
- Frank (10/5): - The Anton Menlo apartments were superb. The complex was quite exquisite. The apartment was very very nice. Everything you could want for all the basic things. The sky roof was quite a nice touch to be able to have it available and use it. The team was always on hand to respond to all inquiries no matter how trivial. Awesome experience
- Victoria (1/5): Unpleasant. - Nothing. The apartment smelled. The instructions to access the property were vague...there were several doors with keypads. You need Pictures, not just a spread sheet.
- Edward (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (5/5): mediocre - clean threatening additional charges every where in the unit
- 896arashp (10/5): Great Location - I spent a few days at Global Luxury Suites in Menlo Park during my business trip. This apartment complex is located in a nice neighborhood and only a few minutes' drive away from Downtown Redwood City. Also, it is conveniently just a ten-minute drive from downtown Palo Alto. The apartment itself was clean and secure, with modern appliances and ample parking available. The amenities, such as the nice fitness center and gym, were also well-maintained. The management was very responsive to any questions or requests that I had. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Menlo Park and the surrounding areas.
- Felicia (10/5): Highly recommend for relaxation - The property was beautiful, well maintained and fun to relax. The kitchen was huge! I loved the secluded feeling but still close to city.
- Hudy (9/5): Superb - The facilities were wonderful!! Exceeded my expectations!! Bushra with global luxury suites was excellent and very helpful for anything we needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Roomy private apartment in new complex - Great new property of separate apartments, full kitchen, bath, livingroom, laundry, huge walkin closet. There is no agent or desk onsite, all communication is via email and phone. The self-service means codes at the door, lockbox with a key, etc. so have a PDF viewer on your phone ready to navigate that process. Would recommend for longer-term stays, more homey than a hotel room for sure!
- Chaim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chaim (10/5): Exceptional - Free parking and amazing gym. Spacious and convenient.
- Rui (8/5): Very good -
- Brittany (7/5): It was good to have a full size kitchen and utilize some of the amenities. - There were many amenities at the apartment. I liked the bike lock area and ease of parking. The decor looked really nice and I felt at home. The mold in the bathroom. How the mold situation was handled. The lukewarm hottub.
- Ajay (5/5): Large apartment but in a terrible location - Modern and large rooms the location is terrible. it’s far from anything including restaurants and shops or supermarkets
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Perla (7/5): Would recommend for families. Better than most hotels in the area. - Easy to check in and out. The property has nice amenities but just not in the best condition. Loved that it was an actual apartment with kitchen. Most of the fireplaces were out of order and according to actual tenants they have not worked in years. There were a couple other things that you could tell needed to be replaced or maintained especially considering the price.
- Pamela (6/5): Decent place to stay if working from home with wifi! - The apartment was spacious and had a bathtub. The property was mostly quiet, except for barking dogs. Wifi was great! TV channels were wonderful but took a week to figure out how many channels were available. Sombre colors. The grey decor was emotionally depressing. The biggest disappointment was the pool which was frigid. The hot tub was warm but not warm enough for women to use.
- Nasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohamed (4/5): - The neighbors on top can he heard with any movement making it difficult to sleep. There is nothing around the area that is walking distance and it’s industrial plus car dealers.
- Ronald (10/5): Exceptional - Location and amenities No restaurant!
- Heidi (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay here at Anton Menlo Residences. It's a fairly safe and overall quiet neighborhood. You hear the noise from the freeway nearby but other than that it's a decent location. The apartment is new so everything is in working order. Couldn't figure out how to turn on the fans however. There is a nice bathtub, a full kitchen, and laundry machine inside the apartment. The space is great for 1-2 persons. There is ample free parking outside. Units can be accessed via elevators. I asked for a room on a higher floor and it had a great view facing the sunset which is really nice. Pleasant smell inside the building. Nice big pool with lounge chairs available to you as a guest. Unit has also a big balcony but no outdoor furniture to sit on. Would recommend this place and will stay here again. Communication was good between the hosts, responsive to my requests and accommodating. Thank you!
- Terri (8/5): A good choice for a quick family getaway. - The apartment was great. The property management for the unit was so nice, helpful and responsive. i can’t complain about the apartment unit. The pool and spa were the best and my family enjoyed it for hours. Worth the stay if you have kids. The overall facilities were ok, the coffee bar was lacking, they don’t provide cups and also the choices in the machine dispersing the drinks did not have ingredients for the choices displayed. The game room was okay, a bit old and run down.
- markkG9528WQ (2/5): criminally incompetent - I booked a room online and then realized the rest of my team was staying somewhere else on our business trip. I called the hotel 10 minutes after booking and was told there was no refund possible because my check in date was in 13 days and there is no refund possible within 14 days of arrival. The customer support staff as well as the management were completely inflexible, even though I had just booked online less than an hour of speaking to them. This is beyond unacceptable from a customer experience point of view. Do not give these clowns your business
- Eric (4/5): - I had a week long business trip to Menlo Park and this place looked good from the website.
Problem is it is not a hotel and there is no front desk or anyone there to help you check in. You have to do it all online through a janky app from 1990’s AOL era.
And places like the coffee ‘cafe’ have coffee machines but no cups so you can’t use them.
No room service and nothing to walk to, had to take Ubers everywhere or DoorDash.
If you’re looking for a hotel, keep looking as this is not one.
- D303EKmarcod (6/5): Average but not bad - I stayed at a one bedroom apartment for 3 weeks in February for a business trip. Overall, I had a good experience and so let me summarise the pros and cons:
PROs
- You have got all the comforts of being in an apartment, kitchen, appliances, TVs, bedroom, living room at a decent price considering the location
- The amenities are nice. Nice resident room and a decent size gym open 24/7 which is the main reason why I booked this apartment.
CONs
- Location is remote and detached from anything. You will need a car to move anywhere
- Paper-thin walls. At night, I would constantly hear someone working with Asia on Zoom calls non-stop (from midnight until 3/4am). It was like having them in my room
- Some of the shared room, like the gaming room, are completely left unrepaired and kind of broken. Majority of games didnt work or half working.
- Kitchen cutlery could be much better. Had to ask for frying pan and few other stuff since I had the bare minimum and couldnt really cook
All in all, I am happy and I would go again just because it has one of the best gyms I could find in the area which is open 24/7.
- Julie (6/5): - The unit itself was great, Very clean and comfortable, with more than all the amenities I needed. Fantastic. However, the property is in a bad location and is also poorly maintained. An alarm was beeping in the hallway the entire time I was there, and no one ever came to check on it. Fortunately I couldn't hear the beeping inside the unit.
- Melanie H. (8/5): Overall a really positive stay, only downside were some ants in the bathroom... - Overall this process and property is great. They had all the little things that you need, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, TP. Everything was clean and nice, and there were laminated info cards that were very useful. One big downside, though, was that the bathroom had ants. They showed up occasionally to hunt through the garbage or to the shower/bath if there was water. I tried to keep things clean so they didn't start moving to other areas, which they did occasionally go looking elsewhere but the infestation was kept to the bathroom. Everything else was nice and as described, and the process was thorough and informative, so I'm giving it a high rating, but I really hope they deal with the ants because that did make the stay rather icky at times.
- AZADEH (2/5): - The check in was very challenging. No one sent an email as to how to get into the property. I was staying there because I flew in for a surgery. It was a very uncomfortable environment. It was located to a highway, it was load, noisy, and you can see the lighting from outside. Very difficult to rest, and have a quiet a d dark environment.
- Johnathan (8/5): - The property was great. It really felt like a home. The amenities and the 1br apartment provided enough space and comfort to make us feel comfortable
- Verified traveler (2/5): not worth it. - Not worth the $400. It smelled like cigarettes when we 1st opened the door, the floors where extremely dirty, we had to wash our feet before getting into bed because our feet were dirty from walking around barefoot in the apartment. The air conditioner vents are filled with dust. Dinning table placemats were dirty.
Parking is horrible. Would’ve preferred staying somewhere else.
- Huan (8/5): - very convenient and clean unit, however, this unit has insufficient supply in kitchen and bath room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property is wonderful. However, complicate rules and policies make it hard to book, check in and check out.
- Joellelabelle (8/5): Perfect - I recommend this apartement. Everything worked perfect and we had no problems. The pool and the fitness are nice. Free coffee every day. Free parking. A little bit expensive for the apartement size but the furniture were ok.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is very near highway 101, to the extent that you cannot get a good night's sleep due to constant traffic noise. The suite is fully furnished, but the living room seating is very uncomfortable. The front door was rather difficult to lock from the outside.
I will not be staying here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was absolutley wonderful. It was beyond our expectations. The location was perfect for our needs. We would definately stay here again!
- Vinessa (10/5): Return home to California: beautiful stay - The two bedroom apartment was located in a great location. The premises clean with everything you needed. But best of all relaxing!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Checkin was super complicated and they wanted to charge for early checkin. There was a hair in the shower when I arrived and ants in the kitchen. Otherwise it was a pretty generic corporate apartment stay near my office.
- ccfreda (2/5): Worst experience ever - I have booked a two-bedroom suite on 7/17/2019 for my family stay from 08/07-08/11 and has been charged the full price successfully, also a confirmation and the move-in instruction including apartment gate passcode wifi passcode has been sent from this company. But, on the morning of 7/26 I received an email informed the booking was cancelled due to payment issue. I called in and they kept on telling the same reason that my payment has been bounced back from Bank of America and suggest me to book another hotel, I double checked with my bank and was told that once the payment was showed in the bill that means it was successfully paid. I searched all the hotels in the same area and all of them were double priced than the day I have looked 10 days ago. It is summer, busiest travel season, please do not fool people like this and you will totally ruin your own reputation. NOT recommend anyone stay here
- Happiness547703 (10/5): Fantastic property - My husband, son and I just had a wonderful stay at this property. It was like brand new and the amenities were awesome. The location was great and the hosts were responsive. We would definitely stay there again.
- Suzana_abra (2/5): Previous Stay and Upcoming Stay - I had two completely different experiences with Global Luxury Suites.
The first one was in May. Me and my husband stayed in their Menlo Park propriety for 3 weeks . The apartment was well kept, very well furnished and the overall experience was good.
We like the idea of staying in an apartment (as opposed to an hotel room) so when we booked another trip to the same region (we are actually moving there) we booked a stay with the same company.
TWO days before our arrival and after we were charged for the full price of our stay on our credit card we received an e-mail that due to a glitch in their system our unit was double booked and that they were sorry but could not accommodate us and they would refund us for our stay. I find this kind of solution unacceptable and tried calling them and I was informed by their customer service that they were sorry but there is nothing they could do.
I know Global Luxury Suites is not a hotel chain but they advertise themselves as "hotel amenities with the comfort of a home" (that's literally what their PA said when I was on hold on the phone) so I would expect hotel service in my relocation. Instead, I was asked to look for somewhere else on booking.com. After I complained a lot they said they would look for an alternative.
I'm very dissatisfied with their service and would definitely not recommend a stay here if you want to have a stress free trip.
- Sandra (10/5): 5 stars - Its always amazing. My family and I love it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Keep an eye out for a large service fee applied at the very end of your reservation (for a very brief stay, not economical), and additional booking steps/contracts even if booking through third party services. The property itself seemed new and lovely, with the glaring exception of large scale electrical towers/lines running THROUGH the property (in some cases just dozens of feet from apartments), which may be a concern for individuals attentive to the risks of such things. Check-in was facile and clear. On check-in I found the room to be well appointed, but highly and artificially fragranced - almost nauseatingly. The room was otherwise set up to be welcoming. However, on inspection the floors and even bathroom components were incompletely cleaned (including toilet seat). Although serviceable, the furnishings and bed were too rigid for my taste. The kitchen was equipped with I believe aluminum pots and some convenient supplies for cooking, and the kettle on the stovetop was rusted. For a setting describing themselves as ‘luxury suites’, they may have missed that standard. The washer/dryer worked well and were an appreciated convenience. The open spaces were lovely (if you can overlook the high voltage electrical tower). Ultimately, while some aspects of my short stay were well planned and serviceable, I wouldn’t choose to stay at this location again, although I may consider giving other locations a try in the future.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is not safe. There was a threatening neighbor with a huge dog on the apartment next door. When I complained to management about my safety concerns, they did not want to refund me (even though I canceled my stay)
- Greg R. (10/5): Perfect stay with Global - Thank you for the very nice, very clean, and very recommendable stay with you at the Global Luxury Suites Menlo Park. Being our first time renting a full furnished apartment, we really were, a bit nervous when we were on the way there that first day. Yet, when we arrived, the info, directions, and map layout tools absolutely calmed the nerves and everything worked out great!! We had the best time and look forward to using your facilities again very soon!
Thank you again from the Rojas
- Sophie K. (6/5): Isolation from amenities - Hi there Although your apartment was a good size, clean and well appointed, it was too isolated and in an industrial area with no access to fresh foods or services. It only suits a traveller who has their own transport or hire car. As a single person with neither of these I struggled to get by and find somewhere to eat close by and had the added Costs of hiring Uber everywhere. Despite the pool and gym the place was like a deserted wasteland😕
- Kim (10/5): Didn't know this was here. - Apartments are very nice two bedrooms, one master, one with a bath a Ross the hall, with living space between the two rooms. My only complaint was that the blinds didn't completely blackout the light at night. The master bedroom was brighter at night due to its location over parking lot below. Other than that, really nice place with lots of options
- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern & Clean - The apartment complex is beautifully modern, spacious, and super clean. We felt very safe and secure. The only downside was our apartment/unit location near the Main Street. It was actively noisy at all times. I suggest ear plugs at night. Other than that, a wonderful stay.
- Sondra (6/5): - I thought I was booking a hotel room. It tuned out to be an apartment complex with no desk services. There were no restaurants in the area. The apartment was lovely but not appropriate for a 2 day stay.
- DIANNE (8/5): - Nothing to complain about!
- Lamar (8/5): - It was a inconvenience trying to get key for the room.. they said the key would be in the lock box.. when I opened the lock box NO key. Had to wait 20mins for someone to open door
- Rachelle (10/5): Extra Amenities that can’t be beat! - This place was perfect for my husband, son and I to stay at while exploring the San Fran area. It was in a great central location with great amenities after a busy day of touring the city. We enjoyed the rooftop deck, hot tub and pool, arcade and huge fitness room. Free parking, kitchen, laundry and large apartment space made it enjoyable and easy! The only negative I could say is they don’t supply trash bags or pool towels, which I thought was odd. I would definitely stay here again with easy check in and check out - communication was great!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Clean, spacious apartment. Terrible location unless you work at Facebook, apparently. No amenities nearby (no grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc). Apartments are cheap new construction, on a busy street, so lots of street noise. There is zero human interaction through checkin, during the stay or during checkout, but lots of auto-generated emails. So a weird customer-service experience. Only personalized email was to notify me of additional charges they are trying to run through on my credit card which I did not authorize or incur. Overall, weird place to stay and bad customer service. Don’t recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing facilities and exceeded expectations! Only complaint was the grab and go app was not compatible with our Canadian phones, and there are no really close amenities in the area as hotel is in an industrial park.
- Richard (10/5): I'm a fan. We stay here all the time on business. - We like staying here on business. Very close to Stanford and pretty affordable compared to hotels in the area. Access to outdoor heated pool, hot tub, pool table, shuffle board, grills (though we've never tried to use them.) kind of spendy on the cleaning fee, so works out better on a longer stay as opposed to a shorter stay)
Only headache is rental agreement, Drivers license documentation, etc. that you have to sign and send back each time you stay. And the 10% forfeiture if you cancel your plans after 48 hours of booking, and 100% charge shortly thereafter. Why not just call it a non-refundable rate which would at least not confuse people when Hotels.com says "REFUNDABLE" because most people think that means up to 24 hours before arrival.
- Leigh (8/5): Awesome rooms; good location; daunting logistics - The property was brand new, exceptionally clean, and well appointed. Can't recommend that part enough. You get a lot of emails in advance about parking, check-in, how locks work, etc. Kind of overwhelming. Checking in is positively byzantine. The place is huge, multi-building, and hard to navigate. Essential codes (you need two) and room numbers are buried in PDFs. It's hard to get the info you need while standing in the dark in the rain (the awning-like things above doors are just decoration). The operation of the key lock device and the key fob is Kafka-esque. I still don't know how I unlocked or locked the door. It just seems to have happened but is not repeatable. And finding your way to your room and back to your car - well, next time I will mark those locations on my iPhone. Also, convenient location close to 101.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine but not homey - Great outdoor amenities. A bit sterile.
- Penelope (8/5): Beautiful apartment - Beautiful apartment. Very safe. Self check in worked well. Location was A little out of the way without shops locally or onsite (shop in photos not up and running). Great to be out of the San Francisco hustle and bustle.
- Mary (10/5): Family Friendly and Quiet - Great quiet place to stay! Perfect for our trip to watch Clemson win the National Championship game!!!!
- william (8/5): Pretty good - Bed was too firm, uncomfortable, everything else was good, nothing reallly close by to eat
- JEFFRI (8/5): - nice complex with good amenities. would come back if affordable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was beautiful, offered multiple amenities, and even had a free trash service.
- Ya Chi (8/5): Nice and clean place. - Nice and clean place for a family holiday. Check in instruction is very clear. I am very happy with it. Stay longer is better.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I arrived at night and had a very difficult time locating and getting in to my unit. I was fortunate to find someone working late in one of the offices able to help me. I called the 24-hour help line at Global Luxury multiple times and no one answered.
I also need a receipt of my payment and having to make calls to get one.
The window in the bedroom wouldn't close all the way so was a cold breeze.
And, no food options anywhere near by.
I won't be staying here agin.
- James (10/5): Great Spot - Fantastic value. The apartment was new and spotless The amenities were great, everything new and top of the line. The area is semi industrial so you have to drive, but the property makes up for it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very fun and beautiful place highly recommend this apartments...
- Edward (10/5): - The property was more like an apartment building than a traditional hotel. It had 2 bedrooms and two full baths, a complete kitchen and a living room with a pullout sofa. It was spotless and the furniture and decor were really very nice. I stayed with my two teenage children and we all agreed that we wish we could live there. The rates were very reasonable for the high quality of the apartment. I was thrilled with the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - Great place, spacious, and very clean!
- kevin (6/5): - Was unclear by listing that this is essentially an apartment for longer term guests. clean and well furnished for that use, but with no stores, restaurants anywhere close (without driving) inconvenient. Also, management did not provide updated access instructions (including the apartment number) until I was onsite and realized that there was no staff onsite to help. I had to call and was then furnished the instructions.
- Deborah (8/5): Great option for long term stays - Nice place, very comfortable. Especially great for long stays. Check in is a different process from a regular hotel and the lock box/electronic key is not intuitive at first. Location is convenient to highway and Facebook. No stores or restaurants within walking distance.
