I would recommend this hotel and would book again when back in Galway. - Excellent location because the train and bus station are in very close proximity. For going out, Latin Quarter is a short walk across Eyre Square and the best tours leave from the Hyde Hotel. Also, the food and cocktails at their bar/restaurant are a 10! The room was quite hot and we had to ask about how to turn the heat down. Also the bathroom is pretty, but the glass partition is not large enough to keep the water in the shower so we had to use many towels just to keep the floor dry!

- gp146 (10/5): Best hotel in Galway ! - We stayed in the Hyde for 2 nights last week . I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel . From start to finish we had a wonderful experience . The staff here are excellent , very friendly and efficient. The room was very very tastefully decorated . Everything was spotless . We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was fantastic ! The breakfast is possibly the best ive ever had in a hotel . The bar is very cool and has a great cocktail menu .The location is perfect. We will definately be back .

- Thundercat1234 (8/5): Location location location! - Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Hyde for 3 nights (2 rooms). We were very happy with the location, close to the train station and shops/restaurants. Breakfast is also excellent, it's a la carte. There were a few relatively minor issues that kept us from giving it 5 stars. The bathrooms were very modern and updated. But there was no shower door, just a short glass partition. So water usually was not contained and sprayed over the bathroom floor. Our shower drain was also clogged. Our daughter complained her mattress springs were pressing into her. And our "King" room was only a Queen, but we kinda expected that may be the case by European standards. Fairly minor stuff, I'd probably give it 4.5 stars if I could. We were very happy with our stay overall and staff were all very pleasant

- EveE24 (10/5): The Perfect Stay - I’m writing this on our last night in Galway. We’ve been here for 5 days and it has been perfect. Galway is amazing but this hotel made our stay that much better. We ate breakfast every morning here before starting our day and it was delicious every time. The staff is exceptional from the front desk to the servers at the restaurant/bar. To say they are helpful, kind and friendly is an understatement. They went above and beyond each day to answer questions, help us book tours and even one day made dinner reservations for us at another restaurant. The location is perfect. I’m really sad to go but thankful for all the reviews and videos that helped us choose Hyde. Did not disappoint.

We had an issue / emergency maintenance with the room, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We got moved immediately with an offer of a complimentary treat. Location is perfect for a city break in Galway. Breakfast was delicious, well presented with high quality ingredients. The bar area is lovely, very relaxing and fun in the same time. Great hotel, will be back.
