• ROJA (9/5): A peacefully relaxing stay in the busy city. - The location is great. The staff were very calm and responsive (I requested extra linens and towels and got a whole set 😄). My partner loved the breakfast and she is very picky. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak but it works.

Dort keinerlei Lüftungsmöglichkeit, entsprechend war die abgestandene Luft. Das inkludiert Frühstück: 2 harte Toastscheiben, undefinierbare Masse=Butter?, 1 warmes Glas Wasser, 1 Tasse schwarze Brühe=Kaffee? ein wenig Rührei Indiskutabel für 3 Sterne-Hotel!!! Keine Frühstücksalternative in der Nähe.

The staff were was very tentative to my needs. The only part was the lack of cash to exchange money. But it was figured out rather smoothly.

Especially, Colin from evening shift and day shit front desk (sorry I forgot her name) attendants were exceptionally helpful, pleasant and attentive. Great value for the money Not much. All was great.

• Jenny (5/5): Could do better - It was secure and clean and the younger members of staff were very helpful. Poor breakfast only 2 choices both $ 10 for very little and no fresh fruit or pastries on the limited choice menu. Or any fruit juice. The hotel is basic very old school b&b and washed towels every day which is not very sustainable. The verandah was always used by security staff and hence had their noisy iPads etc. The bedrooms have paper thin walls and was kept away on two nights by very noisy guests.

And thank God my room had a refrigerator . That was a big deal. I will definitely be back soon. No elevator. Every room is upstairs. I could hear everything in the hallway. I think the clubs are nearby. No view but that was ok. I went to sleep.

Ok für Besuch von Kingston, mehr aber nicht. Sehr unfreundliches Empfangspersonal. Sehr schaade, weil nicht viele Leute dort sind und das Personal zu 90% am Handy ist. Bett war sauber, aber Lacken dreckig. Boden voller Haare. Keine Ahnung, wann das letzte mal gereinigt wurde.

• Opal (2/5): My stay at Shirley Retreat was very disappointing as I was unaware it is an active construction site - The location was the only good thing and Mr Patrick was quite friendly. I detested the fact that this hotel is being renovated and I was oblivious until I got there. I was rudely awakened for the four mornings I was there, by loud hammering and drilling. It was also quite distasteful to be meeting workmen with their pants under their bottoms in the hallway. I also had to hear their base conversations as one of them seemed to be trying to get the attention of one of the female staff members. Additionally, I was unable to sleep in late peacefully and I was extremely disappointed as I was on vacation. I also had to endure a pounding headache due to the construction noises. The backyard is also very unkempt and could do with some nice plants.

Really lovely, thank you very much. The refrigerator didn't work from the start, but we only closed for 2 nights so we managed without it.

• Nzaandi (10/5): - This was a place booked last miniute for business trip. They went out of there way to ensure that my son did not miss his flight as he missed it the first check out day . He went back directly from the airport after the missed flight and they accomadated him. The security was sent to do the wake up call the next day. Security on property and reliable staff. Would definitely recommend this place.
• Christopher (10/5): - I like everything it peaceful and quiet and the security guard is very understandable and very professional. For some reasons I think he is the manager because he is so spectacular, lots of respect to the teams aswell. The room was always fresh and clean.
