Josee (9/5): It was our second time staying at Abbey Del Sol and we will return. - Very well appointed and located 4 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes to town, restaurants and grocery. The bikes and beach chairs were appreciated and so was the BBQ. An umbrella at the pool would be nice to provide some shade. Only 1 cleaning was provided for 14 nights and we had to pay for 1 extra toilet paper roll.

Mary (8/5): - There's a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great water pressure. Comfortable bed. Loved the bikes! Towels supplied. Laundry for $10 on site. In a quiet part of town but everything bike able. You can walk to the beach. My particular room (1st floor, courtyard) was small with things kinda crammed in, and scraping furniture above so I had to sleep/wake with the people above. No place to dry clothing in that room, which was probably cheaper (no balcony or patio). Workers swarm with banter at 8:30 a.m. Other than that, very pleasant.

Anthon095 (8/5): - Great location, at the end of the main road so not much traffic, but still easy to walk to the center of town. Very pretty buildings and pool area. The hotel also provides beach amenities for free which was very nice. No hot water was available for the shower or sink.

The area right around the property was quiet. We used the pool, cooked in the kitchen, and the bed and sheets were comfortable. Very good experience. We liked everything and the walk to town is short but it might be a little too far of a walk for very young children.

marja (10/5): Fijn apartement op loopafstand van het centrum. - Comfortabel apartement op loopafstand van het centrum. Ook fietsen beschikbaar indien je het toch te ver lopen vindt. Keukenspullen waren prima hebben wij alleen gebruikt voor ontbijt en lunch. Matrassen aan de zachte kant maar het is persoonlijk wat je prettig vindt. Uitchecken mocht om 16 uur ipv 10 uur maar dit kost 70 USD. We hebben dit gedaan maar vonden het best een fors bedrag, het apartement was niet verhuurd de volgende dag. We hebben ook geen extra handoeken of beddegoed verbruikt.
Alfredo (9/5): Wonderful property, small room - We had a wonderful stay at Abbey del Sol. The facilities are great, wonderful swimming pool and beautiful plants all around the property. The staff was kind and attentive. The rooms are equipped with all we needed for a good stay including chairs for the beach, coffee machine, and many more details that made this hotel very special We had a very small room with a view to the corridor. Other rooms had large balconies and seemed way bigger. Don't rent the cheapest one.

Beautiful little center courtyard with perfect size pool and plenty of space and beds to relax secluded from any street noise. Very close to the beach and 10 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. The bikes were perfect for getting around a town and the roads are very safe to use them on.

The staff were wonderful and supportive of things we needed to make our trip enjoyable. We used the bikes which was a great way to get around. The amount of chlorine and bleach used in the pool. We have a pool at home and never use bleach. The bleach turned my son's hair green.

Geweldig personeel. - Het personeel, tijdens ons verblijf Mariëla en Mildred, zijn heel professioneel en vriendelijk. Nemen de tijd om alles uit te leggen. Het mooie zwembad is kraakhelder en schoon. Het strand is 4 minuten lopen. Centrum 20 minuten, maar op de fiets welke gratis gebruikt mogen worden, ook slechts 5 minuten. In onze kamer was alles aanwezig. Aan alles is gedacht. We hebben tijdens onze reis veel duurdere hotels gehad, maar dit is verreweg de beste! Niets.

They tried to put me in a room with no windows under a pass way, basically a closet with a bed !!!! I was in Mexico at the beach and they tried to put me in underground type room😡 THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND WHO GHEY DID IT TO! I WANT MY MONEY RETURNED !!! I WANT MY MONEY RETURNED !!! The hostess LIED, MISREPRESENTED ! I HAVE CONTACED LOCAL LAW OFFICIALS! My gosh ??? So I asked for a regular room she said that she didn’t have any rooms available but the maids where cleaning one that might be available. SHE CHARGED ME ADDDTIONAL $385.00 HOTEL WAS EMPTY! SHE LIED AND MISREPRESENTED THE CONDITIONS OF OUR AGRREMENT AND STATUS OF HOTEL AVAILABILITY - REMOVE CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD - I HAVE FRIENDS IN PUERTO MORELOS &/ CANCUN , the very bad experience, lying, cheating will be shared locally and in Mexico and in New York, Phila!! I also enjoyed the pool every afternoon and used the BBQ. Will definitely recommend Abbey del Sol and would love to stay again. Balcony made it so nice. A very nice pool area with plenty of comfy loungers. Free bicycles to use. Friendly and helpful staff. The office people spoke perfect English. We were very happy here.

Mark (10/5): Clean and spacious. Highly recommended! - This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Abbey Del Sol and the experience was excellent on both occasions. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Each room also comes with a full kitchen with everything you need to cook at the location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Also, the free bikes are great for cruising around town or for picking up groceries. I highly recommend Abbey Del Sol, but make sure to book early to get all your days. TV's are not intuitive and difficult to operate. If you plan on using the TV, make sure to ask the front desk for guidance.

Set on a quiet street at one end of - Small boutique style hotel with a lovely pool, large clean rooms with lovely Mexican furnishings and a well equipped kitchen It’s a little far from town - about a 20 min walk - they do also provide free bikes which were fun.
Susan (10/5): - The pictures do not do this property justice. We loved our stay here. Front desk staff is helpful. Bikes and beach chairs are provided. The kitchen is well stocked. The bed is comfortable. The TV even has US and Canadian channels, helps if you want to catch up on news and sports.

Location for us was perfect: quiet but still walkable to the beach (~5min) and town square (~15min). Snorkeling tour operators (we went with Wet Set) and plenty of restaurants and are also within walking distance. Street parking was not a problem. Would stay there again. The room was a bit small. Nothing else to complain about.

Michelle (10/5): The best place to stay in Puerto Morales. - Puerto Morales is a lovely place only 25 minutes from Cancun. Abbey del Sol was a wonderful place to stay. The apartments, staff and facilities were amazing. The pool was wonderful. Perhaps a little far from the town, but I’d stay again.

It had everything you could want or need for an overnight stay. They had some amenities that we just didn’t get a chance to try like the pool and the free bikes. We will be back. We picked a smaller room due to the cost and the fact that we were only staying one night. We were cramped in there.

Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely lovely. - We absolutely love Abbey del Sol. This was our second visit, but it won’t be our last. The apartments are cute, clean, and modern. Our apartment was exactly how it was pictured on the listing. There is filtered water in each apartment. Linens, towels, toiletries, and a fully functional kitchen. Our room had umbrellas (which we needed) and beach chairs, beach bag, and beach towels (which we didn’t need). The property is safe with a locked gate. The courtyard and pool are idyllic. Our favorite part of both trips were the complementary bicycles!!! We love biking into the center of town, shopping at the grocery store, and visiting all the incredibly delicious restaurants. The staff were very responsive and easily available after-hours through WhatsApp. The in-room binder gives loads of useful information about the local area and tips and tricks for your visit. Without exaggeration, Abbey del Sol has been one of the best unexpected surprises of all of our travels. We are already planning our next stay - and looking forward to it!

Kim (8/5): Charming little hideaway with exceptional service - Staff were extremely helpful, especially Mariela who gave us advice on tours and arranged transport. Our king studio was lovely and had so many extras: beach towels, umbrellas, facecloths, drinking water, coffee, etc. Nice little pool in a shady spot. It’s a bit of a hike to the central part of the town, though the hotel does have bicycles for guests. No conveniences like grocery stores or pharmacies close by. The small queen studio is very cramped and the bed is uncomfortable.

Slightly out of the centre of town but it doesn't really feel like it as the bikes are always available and the cycle to the town is a very relaxed 5-10 mins away. I generally don't really like cycling but really enjoyed cycling around this quiet place. Really helpful staff! They booked us taxis and sorted out an admin error with our payment. Also let us leave our bags in the office after we checked out so we could enjoy the beach before our flight. Nothing! Was ideal.
