- Marisa (8/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). We had a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from the main room of our cottage and although the bath on the first floor did not share that view (trees are in the way), the bath is phenomenal and we definitely took advantage of the big tub and its water heating abilities. However, the only reason we didn't give 5-stars was because the space desperately needs some sound proofing. We had two sets of upstairs neighbors during our stay there so I know it wasn't just that our specific neighbors were loud or stomping around, the floor/ceiling is just absolutely not sound proofed at all and it really took away from the charm of this lodging for us.
- Kelvin (10/5): - Spacious and clean whole apartment. Excellent view of Mount Fuji. Very close to lake, just a few mins walk away. Very friendly and helpful host. Lets us park at the property after checkout so we can visit places nearby.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - 3 new villas have been built at the site and another building is under construction. We were given the option to upgrade for free from the cottage to a villa. It was comfortable for 4 people with a full kitchen, lounge, toilet and bathroom downstairs, tatami room and twin bedroom upstairs plus an outdoor eating area with bbq and parking. However it was hard to tell where to check-in - it’s where you purchase tickets for the Monkey Theatre next door.
