- Michael (8/5): - If you have high, western expectations, a) you don't understand the Philippines, and b) you're going to be disappointed. BUT, we are a family of five, and most Philippines hotels accomidate four max. So, the room was large, the beds were comfortable, and by local standards, all was well. Bring your own soap and shampoo, but the towels are large, absorbent and clean. No food on site (except snacks), but plenty of options within a 100M walk. Ozamiz rolls up their sidewalks about 7 pm, so if you need anything, shop early. I'm not going to inflate the review; at the same time, the hotel is completely adequate (especially for a large family or for someone on a budget), and safe, and the staff were more than accommodating.
- james (10/5): - Very cold air, awesome
- iris (10/5): - RECOMMEND I WAS SURPRISED BY BIG SPACE :)
- John (5/5): ok - ok beds more softer better
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - This place is great
- Joseph (8/5): - Clean outside
- Loraine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (8/5): Very good - Location. Has hot shower. It's an older building so it has character and is not perfect but very functional.
- David (10/5): - It’s nothing fancy but it’ll do for a nights sleep, AC & hot shower restaurant across street and McDonald’s close by for convenience it’s a win if you need a goods night sleep in Ozamis city
- Melanie (7/5): Good - Love the place and clean plus comfortable. Staff are awesome
- Sebastian (10/5): Great stay as always - Good experience as always the staff and security guard are great help
- Von (7/5): Our stay was okay. We enjoyed it. - Location is good, right at heart of the city. Very accessible. Need parking space for clients with vehicles.
- John (3/5): Poor - Close to town Most things
- Arnel (8/5): Very good -
- Jevamie (7/5): Short Stay on a rainy day - It's located in the heart of the city, great access to shops and resto, just walking distance. Friendly staff and always readily available, serves you with a smile. The security officer will help you find a ride if you don't have a car. Price value is good.
Tip: It's better to book in the hotel because it's cheaper than doing online booking/reservation. But I don't know during peak season. Don't have tissue roll in the toilet as well as facial tissue. The TV doesn't have cable connection and wifi is unstable. Don't have face towels and bedroom slippers. Provided only 2 small soaps, I highly recommend to bring your own toiletries. Neigboring guests were loud, making it hard for me to sleep and I heard someone dragging furnitures several times. Or i guess that was the cleaning personnel.
- Vilma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gluztavelle (5/5): Room was not reserved - Good location. The hotel did not find our booking because the staff claimed they did not receive a confirmation email. I showed a printed copy and we had to wait for a while for a vacancy. When a room was finally available, they charged us the Booking.com rate which was more expensive than the walk in rate.
In addition, the contact number that Booking.com provided was incorrect. The number could not be reached.
I recommend booking with the hotel directly.
- Bernie (6/5): Would be good value if it had a fridge, and you could put up with your toilet set getting wet. - No beakfast, and the location was central to markets. The shower was so tight with the toilet, it had no screen so the water wet the toilet every time! And the shower floor had the wrong fall in it, so that water just pooled on the floor and you get your feet wet all over again as you put up the towel. Very sloppy builders, don't know how to build a bathroom!
Also there was no fridge in the room to keep my drinks cold.
- Bernie (4/5): Disappointing, expected more from a boutique hotel - Bathroom had water pooling because the fall in the floor is wrong, no shower screen so everything gets wet.
Had no fridge.
Had nowhere to hang my clothes.
- Bibiano Jr (4/5): - The staff are courteous and I commend them. However, toilet facilities are not ok. The door locks are not ok, i have reservations that anybody can just open the door by prying it when your are outside your room for a long period of time.
During my period of stay, i always carry my important belongings, like computers, electronic gadgets, etc and keep all my things inside my luggage and locked.
If the owner can add additional deadbolt lock at the door, it can be helpful. Thanks.
- Ria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pegie (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb -
- Nathan (6/5): Blast from the past. - Place needs a lot of TLC. I imagine this place looked the same back in the 80s when my parent's first stayed there.
- Mercell (7/5): Good -
- Karsten (10/5): - Mein 2. Aufenthalt in dem Hotel, sind sehr zufrieden. Lage zentral in Ozamis, Service sehr gut, Sauberkeit besser als woanders. Sehr empfehlenswert.
- James (2/5): - There was nothing to like about this place. Upon check in i was informed that since my reservation was made on line i would have to pay an additional $30 American. If we would have had anywhere else to go we would have. The room smelled of feces and body odor. The AC barely worked. The rest room fell way short of western standards. Poop in a hole and wash your butt with a bucket. We spent the next day looking for somewhere else to stay. We ended up at Costa Del Sole where we were much more comfortable. Stay Away from Asia Novo
- Robert I (2/5): - Place is completely filthy , extremely noisy and I paid for breakfast which isn’t available. It’s probably comparable to a homeless shelter here in the states minus the breakfast. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
- Khareen (8/5): Very good -
- Reich (8/5): Very good -
- Jonnalyn (2/5): - On the day of our check out of September 12,2023 ,it was early in the morning between 6:30 am I asked the receptionist if I could leave a purse for my cousin to pick it up that day since I didn’t have the time to give it to her because that day we had to leave early to go to the province. My cousin told me she went there to pick up the purse at 10am in the morning , but the receptionist said there was no purse that was being left by me, which is ridiculous. I even wrote my cousins name down on the piece of paper and also my name. I don’t remember the receptionist name but I remember her face, I hope she’ll give my purse to my cousin when she comes back to the hotel tomorrow because that’s not right.
- Martin (7/5): Comfortable and fair price! I'd go back. - Overall it was a comfortable stay and I would go back. Staff was friendly and helpful pointing out places where I could get this or that. The place has come into its age... The bathroom is a bit run down. I missed something like a water cooker to make my own coffee...
- Mary Jane (10/5): - The beds (8 inches thick) and the cotton sheets (high thread count) are very comfortable. We booked the Triple Room and it is large enough to fit my family of 5. Very spacious and clean! The T & B door jam needs fixing but it does not affect the quality of our stay. We never experienced a clogged toilet. The rooms are clean. The furnitures are basic but of good quality. We all had a good night's sleep every night after an exhausting day. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Asia Novo Boutique Hotel.
- Mildred (7/5): Good -
- Anthony (4/5): -
The property was outdated and old the housekeeping was excellent
The staff was great
- Khareen (9/5): Superb -
- Ricardo (5/5): Poor - No breakfast. No elevator, out of order. Price, elevator not working
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great price for one night in town before morning flight. Very hot water, nice towels and bedding. Aircon cold. Older style hotel but sufficient. Close to lots of food options. Very affordable.
- Mauro (8/5): Strategic position hotel - The hotel is very cheap and of course its not a 5 star, so can't pretend to much. Its good for staying overnight. Hot shower and good bed sheet. Satellite tv with lot of channels. Close are shops, mall, restaurants, banks, cafe and a church.
- Franz (10/5): - Affordable, clean and right in the center of Ozamiz City. Great place to stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Vergitterte Fenster. Abfallende Steckdosen an der wand . 1 Stuhl für 2 Personen. . Kein Frühstück Raum. Kein Halter für die Dusche und vieles mehr. Hier würde ich nur übernachten wenn es nichts mehr anderes gibt.
- Kevin (8/5): - It was a good stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The lobby is very small. Upon check in they we two employees sitting on the only chair and they did not get up to offer us the chairs and seemed generally disinterested. After I announced that I had a reservation the front clerk got up and began checking us in. The Aircon in the lobby was working but parts were falling off of it and wires were exposed. Worst part of the experience was discovering bedbugs in the room, and blood stained sheets as well. The staff gave us a different room, but it still had bedbugs. Never again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Never cleaned the room or took out trash. (4 days) Cockroaches. Shower heater did not work. Yelling and screaming in the halls at 1am.
- Kevin (10/5): Ozamiz stay - It was good .
The only promlem noisy guests early in the morning making it hard to sleep in.
- Charmigne Marie (6/5): - Its nice.. The room we stayed was clean and tidy.
