The breakfast was excellent and so relaxing to sit outside looking over the lake. The employee’s care attention to detail add to five star experience of this property. The bathtub is also pretty impressive.

• Johan (8/5): Exclusive hotel, but way overpriced. - Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en professioneel. Doen absoluut hun uiterste best. Kamers waren goed uitgerust en van alle gemakken voorzien. We hadden uitdrukkelijk geselecteerd op een hotel met parkeerplaats, omdat we op doorreis waren. Met de auto is het hotel nauwelijks bereikbaar, want het ligt aan een voetgangersgebied. En bij aankomst bleek, dat we 50 euro extra moesten betalen per nacht , voor een zeer kleine parkeerplaats in de kelder van een naastgelegen hotel om de hoek ( waar dezelfde parkeerplaats 20 euro kost) . Anders moesten we "maar ergens op zoek in de stad naar een parkeerplaats met alle risico van dien" en in realiteit natuurlijk volstrekt onmogelijk. Dus geen keus. Dit was absoluut teleurstellend, als je al 820 uur per nacht voor een kamer betaald. En 3 glazen (vrij normale) wijn voor 61 (?) euro, op het zeer kleine balkonterras, was ook heel erg extreem. Het is een relatief klein hotel. We hebben veel hotels op de wereld gezien, maar hier maakte dit hotel een paar missers die zorgden voor een gevoel van "not value for money at all".

• michaelkG7162IQ (10/5): Great Concierge/Manager - We actually didn't stay at this hotel, but my wife and I were stuck in Como (ferry was sold out) and we needed to get back to Tremezzo. The Uber drivers either cancelled my rides or tried to extort another €100 from me. We walked in to Vista Lago di Como and solicited help. Alberto (either the concierge or manager) quickly came to our help and arranged a ride for us. That's great service!!!

• debrasR9441QK (10/5): First class experience at a small luxury hotel overlooking Lake Como. - Upon arrival we were made to feel like we were the only guests in the hotel! We were given a warm and welcoming introduction to the hotel by Alberto and his amazing concierge team. During our welcome drink, we had the opportunity to go over our itinerary for our 6 night stay. Alberto and his team did an outstanding job in tailor making 4 unique sight-seeing activities for us, which we also had the flexibility to amend to suit forecasted weather conditions. We were then shown our room along with all amenities, functions and features. Our room was clean and modern without being austere; a pillow menu was available to suit our preference. Toiletries provided were good quality, as were bed linens. Concierge staff were always available to answer any random question, book restaurants and make excellent recommendations. Room service was extremely prompt as was any request of Housekeeping. Prior to our trip I had made a request for a hard to find brand of whiskey and Alberto went to great lengths to secure this as a surprise for my husband! Our planned excursions were first-rate. Private car pick-up, arranged by the hotel, was always on time, always clean inside with water provided. We had an excellent driver, Alessandro, who was engaging and extremely courteous - always ahead of us to open/close doors and have an umbrella at the ready for the intermittent rain. Alberto kindly set-up a WhatsApp group for us which was extremely helpful and efficient in arranging pick-up venues and times when we were left to explore on our own or to ask any question.

Its location is great along the southern end of the Lake Como western leg, right along the lake and boardwalk. Our Butler, Alberto, and the Concierge Team recommended and made our day trips fantastic, boating around to lakeside villages, the Bernina Express to St. Moritz, Valtelina winery enjoying Nebbiolo varietal wines. This team knows how to make lasting memories! Our driver, Alessandro, took great care of us on the roads while navigating the Alps. Dario and his F&B Team looked after us well so we had fuel for the day trips and a great dinner, with Earnest behind the bar! Lastly, the most remarkable experience was that we were treated and felt like family with this team. Thank you Vista Lago di Como!

They were each professional and very helpful to us in may ways, including how to use our hairdryer, how to find good restaurants, and how to guide the chauffeur to pick us up at the sister hotel. The porters and cleaning staff were very friendly and did a superb job of getting our room cleaned each day. The food was excellent and the service was tops. We loved it all. Our room was gorgeous - beautifully appointed. We had been upgraded to a larger suite facing the lake, but it proved to be quite noisy due to the people waiting for the ferry. It is unfortunate that such a gorgeous hotel is located in such a congested and touristy area. I guess there is not much that can be done to correct that. We would recommend this hotel but we would caution them that the crowds outside the hotel are a bit off-putting . Othewise this hotel is outstanding in every way. The people who work there make it wonderful for the guests and the guest rooms are among the best we have seen anywhere. It's just the crowds outside that can be noisy and less-than ideal for the setting around the hotel

• gillianbT2080WO (10/5): Vista Palazzo Lago Di Como Amazing Hotel And Staff - My daughter and I stayed at the Vista Palazzo Lago Di Como for her 30th Birthday. We had the best time from the minute we entered the hotel until we left. The ladies on reception were exceptional and could not have been more helpful going over and above for Holly and I. When we arrived in our room there was a birthday cake, bottle of champagne and a lovely card. They sorted our private boat trip to Bellagio, a trip to a Villa with beautiful gardens, an evening meal and a private car back to the hotel. The 5 star hotel was beautiful the roof top bar had amazing views and again the staff were fabulous. The location was great central to everything. As we were checking out the ladies gave us a scroll with a map of Lake Como on one side and a hand-written note on the other, just another thoughtful touch that made the holiday feel special.

The hotel is beautifully kept and the service made the experience even better. Special thanks to Hisham, the bell boy, who was incredibly helpful and attentive from the moment we arrived, and to Ilaria at the reception desk, whose warm welcome and professionalism set the tone for our visit. Both went out of their way to make us feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel.

• AsianCajun116 (10/5): Thoughtful touches everywhere - My sister and I stayed at the VISTA Lago di Como on a recent weekend trip to Lake Como. The location was perfect, right across from the lake and the public ferry terminal, and close to the main square. The room and bathroom were large and there were thoughtful touches throughout. Although on the website, you don't have the option of selecting twins, they were able to convert the king bed in the room into two twins so that my sister and I could have our separate sleep spaces. Each evening during turndown service, our slippers were placed by our beds, a little treat was left on the night stand, the complimentary bottled water was replenished, and a little card with the upcoming day's weather forecast was placed on the bed (with temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit). Very thoughtful touches. As a Hilton Diamond member, we received a room upgrade that gave us a little sliver of a view of the lake and free breakfast each morning. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and just enough to be a great start to your day. Keep in mind that this is a small boutique hotel, so you won't find the same amenities you might find at some of the larger hotels along the lake like a pool or spa. Those things weren't important to us, but if they are important to you, you may want to consider other accommodations or simply getting a day pass to use another hotel's amenities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and even gave us a scroll with a map of Lake Como on one side and a hand-written note on the other as we were checking out of the hotel on our last day. Another thoughtful touch that wrapped up a weekend of kindness and thoughtfulness from the VISTA team. The only drawback I found for this hotel was the linen bedding. This is solely personal preference though. I find linen to be too stiff and scratchy. This would absolutely not be a reason not to stay here though. If I'm in Lake Como again, I would choose to stay here in a heartbeat.

It is perfectly located directly next to the lake in Como, as well as the central square. The room has every amenity in case you forgot something, and the attention to detail is remarkable. The breakfast is also well above average with a good selection of fresh, delicious items. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious stay in Como.
• hardys2018 (10/5): Expectations Exceeded! Perfetto! - My wife and I have stayed at many 5 star hotels, but this is my first review. Vista Lago Di Como truly exceeded our expectations. Christina and Elisa went above and beyond to make our special occasion as memorable as possible from the time we checked in until the time we sadly checked out. The Corner Jr. Suite was impressive with stunning views of Lake Como and the Plaza, every amenity possible and a spa shower that will absolutely transport you, especially after dealing with the ferry lines. It is in a convenient location to walk through beautiful Como, visit shops and eat restaurants on or off the lake. A night cap at the Infinity Bar, which overlooks the lake, is the perfect way to end your day at Lago di Como!

• SoozyWoozy1 (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - We spent just two nights at this beautiful hotel. The staff was so hugely welcoming and efficient. The young lady on reception came to find us as we were having trouble trying to locate the car park in the sister hotel around the corner. She was so patient. The room was lovely. Small but very well appointed and the bathroom was large and absolutely amazing. The shower was huge with a lovely rainfall showerhead. There were so many nice little touches at this hotel, the turn down service for example at which point they always left a couple of chocolate truffles on the bedside table. We were able to eat breakfast in the restaurant which is on the top floor. We chose on both occasions to sit outside overlooking Lake Como. It was absolutely beautiful and serene. The breakfast menu was lovely and the array of food in the buffet area was really lovely! Alberto was so very helpful, giving us advice in terms of getting to Bellagio and then when we mentioned we were going to a beach club on one of the days he messaged us to confirm we had towels and then checked that we got back safely in the evening and to see if we had enjoyed our day. This really is over and above and I can’t fault the service here. This hotel is situated right on the lake and so the views are incredible. We would definitely recommend it and would love to go back another time.

Our room was stunning with a view of the lake and the hotel is steps away from shops and restaurants. . The front desk staff and restaurant staff at this charming hotel were delightful and accomodating. The restaurant has a view of Lake Como and was never crowded. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and had a delicious lunch and dinner there as well. The highlight of our Vista Lago Di Como experience was the day we spent with Alberto, the head concierge . He planned a full day private tour for us. Half of the day was by car to stunning little towns and the other half day by boat lunching and visiting other beuatiful spots and towns on Lake Como. It was the most magical, luxurious and delightful day ever! We highly recommend a day with Alberto to get a true feel of Lake Como from someone who knows every part of it having grown up there! We continued on to other amazing spots in Italy but the BEST day of our entire trip was the day with Alberto in Lake Como.

Your concierge the morning we left gave us great service as our Uber driver did not arrive and we had to quickly find a taxi to take us to the airport. He helped calling a taxi as your hotel personal driver was not available. Great location right on the lake and near many shops and restaurants

• LMarieF (10/5): Oasis on Lake Como - Truly a five star experience with perfect execution across every aspect of our stay. The team was wonderful and reached out before our visti to offer suggestions and anticipate any of our needs. We were only there for one night but it was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Italy. As a Hilton Diamond member we appreciated the room upgrade and the thoughtful and generous acknowledgement of our birthday celebration with prosecco and a piece of cake waiting in our room. The room was spacious, beautifully renovated with every amenity. Loved all the Vista branded bath toiletries and the attention to all the little details you don't event realize you want until they are there. The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Como, directly across from the ferry and a short walk to all the historic sites. The rooftop restaurant and bar is an oasis away from all the hustle of the town with an amazing view over the lake. It was a wonderful spot for appertivo, a late night cocktail and an delicious morning breakfast.

The room was spacious for European standards and the property was clean. Alberto the concierge provided excellent recommendations and we spent the entire day exploring the lake with him. This amazing experience was a highlight of our trip. Only downside, which isn’t the fault of the staff, is this is a hotel not a resort. So don’t expect some of the same amenities that you would from other 5* accommodations. With that said we would stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Its location right in Como was ideal, and with only 19 rooms, the hotel offered a boutique experience unlike anything we’ve had before—personalized, quiet, and refreshingly intimate. The real highlight? The on-site restaurant. We’ve traveled the world and dined at many fine restaurants, but this may have been the best meal we’ve ever had. It’s rare that every detail is this dialed in. This was a 10 out of 10 experience in every possible way.

The absolute best part of the hotel experience was Concierge Alberto and his amazing team who started attending to our every need and even stupid questions even before our trip started. Marta and Illaria were awesome and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing- from helping with cars, restaurants, advice and more. The all day guided tour with Alberto “the one” experience was the hilight of our trip. Would highly recommend! To be fully balanced- although service was really great throughout we didn’t love dinner at the restaurant. Not bad just not memorable or as good as more traditional meals we had. Breakfast spread was fantastic and again staff very kind and attentive throughout.

Perfect location right in the middle of Lake Como, beautiful views, amazingly comfortable room. Lovely breakfast spread every morning, nothing quite beats a cup of coffee looking out onto the lake with the mountains in background. With all that said, the best part of the experience was Alberto and the rest of the concierge team at the hotel. My wife and I have been to great hotels all throughout the world, and the team at Vista Lago Di Como definitely outshined them all. From the beginning to the end of our stay, we were very well taken care of, and given great ideas for day trips and other activities, where the team took care of every detail, allowing us to enjoy our time and take it all in. Highly, highly recommended.

The entire staff was wonderful and worked incredibly hard from pre-arrival right up until the last moments to make our stay an enjoyable one. The weather was less than ideal and we had one party member who was recovering from food poisoning; the team was able to help us rearrange our plans to make the most of our stay on the lake despite these challenges, which was great service. A special shout out to Ilaria for her help! On the opportunities side of the ledger, the linens and bath amenities could use an upgrade. Every member of our party found the sheets scratchy and the bath tissue of lower than expected quality at this price point. Also, while the staff really made the stay and the boutique hotel itself was nice generally, the location was only so-so, along a busy road and port with subpar sound-proofing. Our consensus view is that this was a solid four star experience at a solid four star hotel.

The one person who stood above an already awesome group was the head concierge Alberto! He went out of this way to help us correct some logistics issues as well as arrange a great boat tour up to Menaggio for our next hotel. I will definitely come back to this hotel for these reasons!

The hotel is a short walk to restaurants, attractions and the ferries. We had the junior corner suite with panoramic lake views on the 4th floor. The suite was spacious with modern amenities, a large bathroom, mini bar and a good sized closet. The hotel staff is accommodating and friendly offering special touches during the stay. The concierge, Alberto, was very helpful with suggestions and insight into the lake and community. We took a private boat tour organized by the hotel that provided a perfect day on the lake away from the crowds. A fantastic stay, we will be back.

At a standard level, it meets all the very high expectations that one would demand from a 5-star hotel. Outstanding rooms/bathrooms, great view and location, high quality food, etc. However, to call this hotel standard would be an injustice. Led by Alberto, the "butler", personal service at this hotel is extraordinary. Many hotels say they want you to feel at home and that your family. But, in truth, it almost never really happens. However, here it does. Why? Because they will see you as a real person by taking the time to truly engage with you, therefore getting to know you and understanding how best to meet your needs. That is an authentic unique experience indeed. Alberto sets this example from the moment you walk in the door at the beginning of your stay, and the rest of the highly dedicated staff follow suit. That is what sets this hotel apart from it's other 5-star peers. When my wife and I return to Como, we will most definitely be staying at Vista Lago Di Como Hotel. I would recommend you do the same.
