• Sybille (10/5): Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit toller Gastgeberin - 2 wunderschöne alte Häuser in einer tollen Anlage. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und schön eingerichtet. Sie Gastgeberin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und nützliche Tipps gehabt. Das Abendessen war super lecker und auch das Frühstück war prima. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!! Es gibt gar nichts zu bemängeln!

We got a whole unit to ourselves, something my children really wanted. The facility was very comfortable. -The staff were very friendly, but sometimes one of the ladies who served us during meals was unprofessional. -Breakfast could be improved with an additional source of protein, like baked beans, and additional fruits. -Laundry services were not available on holidays; arrangements could be made for guests to use laundry facilities. Since PE's weather is quite unpredictable, a clothes dryer would be of help.

I love how the team handled us as guest our room was perfect. I would like to thank everyone and especially the beautiful lady Jeannet one of the team mates that help around the guest house. She deserves a raise every staff right there deserves a raise. The guest house does not feel like a guest house but it feels like home. You feel loved and special. Im certainly coming back with my wife we had an amazing time there. Nothing really my stay was perfect.

The stay was a disaster, and I will never stay there again until they buy proper TV and subscribe to better network such as DS TV.

• Craig (9/5): Great place with caring staff and management. Highly recommended - Best breakfasts we had on our whole trip to SA. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a lift on our first night to our dinner location and took a genuine interest in what we got up to on our far too short stay and were keen to know whether we were enjoying ourselves. All the staff members were kind and helpful too. The guesthouse itself is quite extraordinary (in a good way). It's pretty old by SA standards and is a bit of a mini museum and nice to look around. Oh and they have a two very nice pools. I would like to go back to Port Elizabeth one day for a longer exploration and if I do I will certainly head for this gust house again. Nothing really. All good.
• Kanushka (1/5): Bad - I recently stayed at King George’s Guest House, expecting a 4-star experience based on its excellent reviews. Unfortunately, my stay fell far below these expectations. The room was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, poorly maintained, and lacked the standard of cleanliness and quality one would expect. The towels were worn out, a bleach-stained bathmat was left in the bathroom, and there was visible algae in the shower. The furniture, though handmade, was in poor condition, and the overall environment did not reflect the advertised 4-star rating. When I raised my concerns, the owner was dismissive and defensive, refusing to acknowledge the severity of the issues or offer a resolution. The response I received was unprofessional, and my valid complaints were met with accusations and deflection. As a frequent traveler, I rely on honest reviews to guide my decisions, and I feel it is important to share my experience to ensure others are aware of these shortcomings. I hope the management uses this feedback to improve the guesthouse, as it has the potential to meet the standards it advertises. I cannot recommend this establishment in its current state and urge prospective guests to consider this review before booking.
