- Callie (4/5): - Don't let the landscaping and pictures on the internet fool you - we were duped. We booked 2 rooms; both were very outdated. One room had water stains on the wallpaper and the other felt like you were in a trailer when you went into the bathroom. Both had full sized beds. We asked for a nicer room or larger bed, staff was not friendly and dismissed us. Would never stay here again.
- James (4/5): Great location but dated property with rude staff - Upon arriving after 6 hours of travel with my 8 lbs hypoallergenic service dog I wasn’t even greeted with a hello before an angry old woman at the front desk went on a monologue for berating me about the dog. She falsely claimed their listing on hotels.com claimed service dogs must be pre registered when dogs aren’t even mentioned in the rules or regs. Hotels.com claims to have talked to them, but they didn’t reach out at all let alone apologize. I left early as felt extremely unwelcome and the property is very much early 90s 3 star vibe despite being across from the ocean. Mean and awful experience especially to someone with PTSD.

- jorge (10/5): Couples Getaway - Room and view was amazing. All rooms on back of property have balcony ocean view as back building are up on a hill. Gym pool and sauna is a plus. Friendly staff. Some rooms are updated some arent. Not a deal breaker. Our room had a new tiled shower. Kitchen cabinets were of the old brown type. Prices in MTK have tripled in the last few years so we got this one slightly discounted last minute so took it. 3 day stay. 2min walk to beach. Bed was firm. Pillows were on the cheaper flimsy side. Would def stay there again. We usually stay at the Blue or MTK Manor. BC is 0.8 miles away from main street/711 so it is quieter which we liked. Overall 9/10.

Also the carpet needs to be cleaned as my toddlers feet were black after about a half hour. Besides the room everything else was great.

The unit we stayed in could have use some updating as the bathroom shower handle seemed loose and the grout was dirty. The refrigerator looked as if someone beat it up which didn’t help the aesthetic of the very blue room. With this being said we’d choose a different room next time!

I came to surf and didn’t spend much time in the place but I woke up to the sights and sounds of the ocean (including whales). The unit itself is dated as far as appliances and bathroom go. But if you’re just looking for an affordable, comfortable and quiet place to rest your head while you enjoy the town, then this place is great.

The rep who checked is in Naissa,(forgive me for incorrect spelling) was most polite. Only issue was guest above us or construction going on from the banging noise. The Beachcomber still gets 5 stars.

Ryan at the pool was very friendly and made sure the tools were followed. The pool is large with plenty of seating and very clean. Gym on site very clean. Rental chairs for beach if needed. Carmen, who cleaned was fantastic. George the maintenance person very nice and fixed our screen door quickly. The office staff and property manager were all helpful and were able to get us in our two rooms even a little early. The property is a coop so each room is decorated and furnished differently. Our studio rooms bed was not the best, could have used a new mattress but the room we had for our adult children was a one bedroom with pull out coach and it was lovely. Rooms are spacious. We had Oceanside studio which comes with everything you need. And we also had a one bedroom which had a big deck and was very spacious. When booking ask questions about room types and locations. Our room was a short walk to beach some at top of hill can be longer. A short walk to town. We will be back.
