We had the small double which was small but clean, comfortable and with everything we could need, including fresh milk in the fridge.
In addition, the property was in a lovely village with shop, cafe and post office, situated opposite the local pub serving great food.
And all felt reassuringly very Covid safe.

- Stephen (10/5): Good Location
- Warm and friendly welcome in a quiet location not far from town. Room and facilities well up to a good standard.
- Julia (8/5): A war welcome - A warm welcome and free upgrade to the larger room. Good location and delicious breakfast.
- Penny (10/5): Hill View! - Lovely little B and B in a small village. Own transport is a must as I didn't see any buses and it is quite a trek to Crediton. There are are two pubs that I'm aware of nearby, the Rose and Crown is adjacent to Hillside and the Lamb Inn is up the hill! Sue gave a warm welcome and showed us our room, which had been upgraded as we were the only guests that weekend. Good tea/coffee making facilities provided and can help yourself to more if your supply runs out! The stairs are steep and spiral so just be careful going up and down. The house is old and characteristic with lots of oldie worldie features including uneven floorboards under the carpet which I love. Breakfast is plentiful and will set you up for the day. Ask for the WIFI code if you require Internet as it's not a great signal on personal network provider. This B and B was recommended to us and we are glad it was. Would very happily stay here again! Thank you Sue!
- Ben (8/5): Pleasant comfortable and quiet stay. - Lovely quiet place to stay: breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice.
Very comfortable too.
Floorboards are a bit creaky in places but to be expected in an old property like this.
I'd use Hillside again if in the area.
- Mike (10/5): Very happy - Lovely hospitality, nice big, clean room and the breakfast was amazing
