Guest Reviews
- kingdomt482 (10/5): Oasis of tranquility in the middle of Media chaos - The best Riad in Marrakech, the location is near all monuments and many restaurants are nearby,
The hotel is very clean and public spaces are wide enough, the entrance is only 1 min by feet, and you feel at home once you are inside,
The rooms are spacious and the housekeeping are doing a great job to keep it tided and clean
The hotel used to be an old house and once you jump in there is an automatic soundproof from noise outside,
The hotel is very well maintained by the owners and if you ask for the moon they will bring it for you,
Special thanks to the ladies of breakfast, their Mssemen is very delicious.
Reception is open 24/24 and nothing seems to bother them, my wife was sick and their went outside looking medicaments for her at midnight,
We highly recommend this hotel to every one and we would love to comeback again,
- Curiosity31415942059 (10/5): Outstanding Palais Blanc Riad - amazing traditional riad with big rooms, kept spotlessly clean and pristine by the amazing staff, the heated pool was perfect in December and it is one of the biggest pools in the medina, Breakfast was perfect with plenty of options and breakfast staff was ideal,
All staff were friend, welcoming and helpful,
The spa is a 5 stars SPA, the spa experience worth a visit,
We would love to comeback again, keep it up Palais Blanc Riad staff,
- sadaff2025 (2/5): Terrible experience - We travelled to Morocco in December 2025 and stayed at this hotel from December 26–28. On our first night, the hotel turned off the hot water overnight. As it was very late, we did not complain at that time.
On the second night, there was again no hot water. When we contacted the front desk, we were given vague responses and told they did not know what was happening. We then contacted the tour company we had booked through. Hotel staff eventually told us that they could not turn the hot water back on and that only one room in the hotel had hot water, which we could use if we wanted to shower there.
We had spent the entire day walking in the rain and urgently needed a shower. The situation became worse the next morning. We had an early flight and woke up at 5:00 a.m. to find there was no electricity and water - hot or cold. The hotel was completely dark, and no one was at the front desk. There was another elderly couple who was very distrubed by this as they were also flying out at the same time.
Electricity and hot water were restored at 6:00 a.m. The front desk staff arrived at 6:15 a.m. and apologized, stating he had no control over the situation as he was “only an employee.”
This experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- GenTojo (10/5): Absolute hidden gem of a Riad - We absolutely loved our stay. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of the old medina. The entrance is rather unassuming off the street but once you find the bell you enter a little oasis of peace and serenity.
All the staff were exceptional and our room was beautiful with a private balcony over looking the pool.
Breakfast is served to you and was excellent with offer of more of anything and lots of choice.
We felt like the only guests and pretty much were as it’s quiet in the heat of July/August.
It’s easy to get around with taxis constantly buzzing past or short walk (be brave) to some great restaurants and roof top bar/restaurants
Ahmed was super helpful and made great recommendations.
Highly recommend.
- Elaine Margaret (10/5): - A great riad in the medina. Everything was good. The breakfasts were fantastic. The rooms spacious clean and air conditioned with stable wireless access. The pool and surrounds ideal for an afternoon relax. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy walk to all areas. Highly recommended.
- travel_happy22 (10/5): A tranquil oasis in the chaotic Medina - You will find this Riad off a very busy road, down a semi dirt track and once you have rung the bell to be welcomed in you find an oasis of tranquillity! everywhere is busy in Marrakesh so to retreat to something so peaceful was perfect for us. The pool area for a Riad is great, you can actually swim in it and there are plenty sun loungers that are comfy around to chose from in a very sunny courtyard area pretty in design with some fruit and olive trees. By far the best though was the staff, always happy to help and with a smile really very lovely and Ahmed helped beyond with taxi transfers and excursions. A wonderful relaxing stay in the middle of a very chaotic, fun and vibrant city.
- Yusha (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff who were so helpful. Excellent breakfast and we really loved the mint tea. Our room was super clean and beautifully designed. The only negative- the hotel could be more presentable from the outside- it feels like youre walking down a run down alleyway when you turn in off the road. Saying that, if we were to return to marrakech, we will definitely stay again.
- Claudy (8/5): - C’est un bel endroit avec un personnel au petit soins dommage un groupe d’une vingtaine de personnes nous a fait oublier le calme et la zenitude du début
- Sihah (10/5): - Ahmed was the perfect host! The room was clean and comfortable. The riad is close by the soups. Walking distance to many things.
- Elayne (8/5): Pleasant stay - It was on a busy little street which might be daunting to walk on for some. The staff are really sweet. Our room was plenty big. And felt lovely and clean. Pool was warm. The only con to the rooms, I’d say is that the tv didn’t work (despite several calls to have it repaired) and the cosmetics are low standard; you expect nicer oily shampoos / shower gel etc in a place like Marrakesh. A lot nicer.
There is a man who seems to hover at breakfast time. Is it the owner? He doesn’t help the staff but rather lingers and it’s a bit odd really :)
- Catherine (8/5): An Oasis in the Medina - When we arrived we thought we had gone to the wrong place as the outside is very rough, but as soon as you walk through the door you are met with an oasis of calm. The hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic with the exception of the bathroom which was awful and very dark. If it hadn’t been for the bathroom I would have given the hotel 5 stars.
- U570AVphilippev (10/5): Super Riad with friendly personnel and nice hamman - Amazing hotel. Very friendly personnel and very helpful.
The hotel is verywell situated in the Medina. Fantastic swimming pool.
We also had an amazing hamman and two very relaxing massages.
The breakfast was very good and a lot of choice.
So if you want to relax and enjoy Marrakech I would recommend this Riad
- hanV7610YJ (2/5): Disgusting and disappointing!! - Run-down and completely disappointing! The hotel experience was far below expectations. The walls in the room and bathroom were moldy, giving off an unpleasant smell that made the stay unbearable from the start. It was clear the hotel hadn’t been maintained in years. Paint was peeling, and the furniture was scratched and outdated, making the entire space feel uninviting.
What made it worse was the service—or lack thereof. The staff seemed indifferent and dismissive when we raised concerns. We asked to change rooms due to the mold, but they claimed no alternatives were available. Breakfast was another major disappointment. The food was left uncovered, attracting flies, and the overall hygiene of the dining area was questionable.
This stay was an uncomfortable experience from start to finish. It’s shocking how this establishment markets itself as anything above a budget option. Mold, poor service, and a lack of basic cleanliness made it impossible to enjoy any aspect of our time here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—do yourself a favor and look for accommodations elsewhere!
- jen25062016 (10/5): What a delight it was to stay at this amazing place. - Room were spotless and the terrace is one of the biggest I have had - day bed, table & chairs and a console. The wee things like the candles lit on our terrace at night just added that extra touch.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ahmed was always checking where you were going for dinner and if you had not received a confirmation, phones up and checked. Staff just knew which room everyone was staying in and if you were lazing by the pool would just come over and sky for your key so they could go in and clean your room. If you ordered food, would be delivered to your terrace and they would come and get you from the pool.
Great location right in the centre of the city. Walkable to most locations or taxis right on your doorstep - a lot of places are not easy to find if down an alley and GPS not great in these tiny wee lanes!!!
Def a hotel I would recommend to friends and family and hopefully get back myself too.
The hotel does not serve or sell alcohol as with many restaurants or cafes. There are places you can buy as we stumbled across 1 but not that many. Or take duty free with you is you want to sit on your terrace of a night and have a wee drink.
- julijagri (10/5): Oasis in Medina with exceptional people - This place is beyond expectations- oasis in medina. Absolutely everything from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was excellent. Interiors, service, breakfast, rooms, facilities and most important people who work there are exceptional. We loved every minute in this place. Massive thank you to all the team (Ahmed, Abdul and Abdul and the rest of the team for making our stay so memorable, you become our friends) thank you for accommodating and advising, thank you for arranging our transfers. You all are amazing. We will be back. It’s a place where everyone should stay at least once in a lifetime. Julija and Lee
- 846juliaf (10/5): Beyond Fabulous - From our pick up at the Airport to our drop off, everything to do with this Riad was beyond excellent. The rooms are huge, extremely comfortable and beautiful. The staff go beyond expectations with every request. Nothing is too much trouble. They will book all excursions for you. Breakfast is a veritable feast. Lunch and dinner are amazing too. I honestly can’t think of a single negative about this stunning Riad. Highly recommended. Our second visit. Close to the souk but you would never know once settled into the bliss of seclusion x
- U2820FPivanap (10/5): Heaven on the earth - The most beautiful Riad we could choose for our holiday, all the staff were very nice, very polite, helpful, we felt like at home. The Riad was very clean. The cleaning ladies were very nice, smiling every time. The breakfasts were delicious always fresh. The cooks were very talented they made wonderful delicacies in front of our eyes smiling ladies wonderful .Ahmad at the reception, who took care of us from the very beginning, very helpful, very nice man profesional offering to help with everything we needed to check for our sightseeing both outside the Riad and inside it... The whole staff was very nice. According to us, the person who is the "heart" of the state is Abdellah (Abdo) 😊🥰 , who is an incredibly nice man, a very cordial person we liked him so much. A very beautiful facility identical to the photos, you can relax there, the water in the pool is always warm, the staff kept everything tidy throughout the day, they checked the cleanliness and brought us snacks , tea we didn't want to leave the area 🫠 The owners Lamya & Luigi are amazing. Lamya a very warm-hearted, beautiful woman who makes you feel comfortable the impression that you are not only in her home but also in yours, every day she checked how we were feeling, took care of us like a family and is a wonderful person. The SPA in the Riad is also at the highest level - a literally paradise on earth. We will never forget this place and we will definitely come back whenever we find time, we love the place and staff

- Kelstar1972 (10/5): Amazing oasis ! Right in the 💜 of the Medina - I’ve stayed in many riads over the years and this was the best by far !!
Huge rooms
Light
A mini gym
A real pool
Outside terrace
Amazing breakfast and at the edge of the medina - super close to everything.
Best is there amazing staff
Ahmed Abdellah Lamya and the owner is wonderful Douma - all so welcoming helpful
And wow their massages are the the best I’ve ever had left me floating
- AlexandreP556 (10/5): Riad Palais Blanc a place to feel at home and pampered - Very comfortable and spacious room.
Great Breakfast. A huge variety of choices. Abdulah was very prestative and he keeps everything tidy and clean.
The girls prepare delicious crêpes, scrambled eggs as well as some other typical food.
Ahmed at the reception was very keen on helping us to find good restaurants and places to visit, how to get tickets etc.
Girls at the SPA make a very relaxing massage after a hammam bath with black soap, exfoliation, use of clay and oils to smooth and regenerate the skin. A fantastic experience. I definitely recommend it.
Lamya supervises everything and makes sure that every guest feels at home and makes the most of their stay at Riad Palais Blanc. Her restaurant suggestions were superb.
- Oxacademic (10/5): Fabulous hotel with exemplary staff - My wife and I have just returned from a memorable holiday in Marrakech.
Having spent my entire working life as a national newspaper journalist travelling the world and staying in some of the best 5* hotels, I can honestly say the Riad Palais Blanc is up there with the best.
A lovely hotel in a very central location.
All the staff were extraordinarily caring and nothing was too much trouble.
We were celebrating my birthday and all the staff came together to sing 'Happy Birthday' in three languages along with a birthday cake!
I have no hesitation in recommending this delightful hotel which I am already booking again for next year.
- Robson (10/5): - Amazing location, it is simply a beautiful property. Thanks to all staff members for the great hospitality, a special one to Mr. Ahmed Al-Qasimi for making us feel home.
Robson & Alex
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent Stay in Marrakech - Decent hotel with a large pool and spacious rooms. Great service from Ahmed. Located a bit far out of the Medina on the outskirts. Not the greatest value. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but would get a better deal and a better location elsewhere next time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small and quiet. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable they couldn’t do enough for us. They surprised me with a birthday cake and sang, also booking a local restaurant and making sure they knew it was my birthday so the celebrations could continue
- Jennifer (10/5): Would love to stay again - Stayed in Riad Palais Blanc for three nights.
The hotel is stunning with a large pool area. It is quite shaded, but there is also a terraced if you would like more sun.
Breakfast was perfect. Pastries, fruit, nuts, breads and traditional tagines too. Loads of options to suit my food allergies which was great.
The staff were extremely helpful. The manager spoke perfect English and was great at offering recommendations of things to do in Marrakech.
The location is ideal - close enough to everything without being too close to the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, well located- close to everything. Staff was amazing
- Angeliki (10/5): Amazing experience in Marrakesh - First time ever in Marrakesh and this hotel is an oasis from the madness of the medina. Beautiful room extremely spacious with its own private terrace (we booked the suite and it was definitely worth it). Very good breakfast variety, attentive staff, quite large pool for a riad hotel, delicious light lunch and walking distance from main attractions. Would stay there again for sure. It has a feeling of 1001 nights meet prince of persia
- M (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Staying at Palais Blanc was one of the best experiences in Marrakech. I've been to Marrakech on numerous occasions, this was the first time I actually preferred staying in the hotel rather than going out. I was after a relaxing stay and that's exactly what we got. Inside the hotel all you'll hear is the sound of birds. As soon as you leave the alley way leading to the hotel you're immersed in the madness that is Marrakech. The staff at the hotel were amazing, and an issue we had was dealt with in a manner way above our expectations. It truly is European customer service. The rooms are beautifully decorated, just as the photos show. There's a beautiful scent of oranges throughout the hotel. For us, there's no need to look for another place to stay next time we visit the city.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautifully decorated, calm and peaceful atmosphere
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice Riad with attentive staff and well located to explore the Medina
- ANDRES (10/5): Great Place to Stay - Great place to stay. Staff amazingly kind and helpful. Rooms very comfortable. Highly recommended. Walkable distance to most places
- balinas (10/5): - Nice riad. Friendly welcome. Comfortable. Bed was great!
- Steve (10/5): - Easy walking distance to many places of interest. Yet the Riad was an oasis of tranquility in a bustling city.
- Candy (8/5): Beautiful quiet Riad in great position - My girlfriend & I had an amazing 4 night break at Palaise Blanc.
The pool is lovely with sunshine on it all day the rooms are spacious with great outside space.
Only negative is the beds by pool are plastic so not so comfortable.
The staff are great & so friendly, especially Ahmed who couldn't have been more helpful.
Shhhh.
We will definitely return .
Candy & Wendy
- Anca Ioana (10/5): Beautiful hidden gem - This little gem is easy to miss from the outside. But once you enter the riad, it's feels like you are stepping into a superb quiet oasis, and forget that you are in the touristic center of such a busy city.
We arrived late in the evening, but still got a very warm welcome. We also got a room upgrade, so we ended up staying in this amazing suit, with it's own veranda. The room was immaculate, and had so much character - it was lovely. The staff was very friendly, and offered to arrange early breakfast for us, as we were scheduled to leave before they normally served breakfast.
Can't recommend this place enough, will definitely stay there when we visit again.
- Tinuoye (10/5): Beautiful, safe, clean. Will definitely recommend! - A lot of options for breakfast. Very tasty food. The staff go above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. I really could not ask for more. Huge thanks to Ahmed, Moulay, Bobker and all the lovely ladies. Beautiful smiles always, nice conversations. I felt so at home. Keep up the good work! Will definitely visit again.
- andrew (8/5): Oasis in centre Old Town - The riad was new and beautifully finished in white throughout. Each room was well appointed with shaded seating areas outside each room to escape heat of the day.
There is a very clean if a little fresh pool in courtyard although a cover was added during our stay to help retain heat.
Dining choice is currently limited and many guests seemed to chose to go out.
