• Amandine (9/5): Simple et efficace - Établissement où nous avons hésité avant de venir à cause de mauvais commentaire sur la non propreté de l’établissement alors que c’est propre, idéalement situé (en effet, à kandy, mieux vaut être sur les hauteurs mais vous perdez l’attrait de la ville, là vous avez les deux ! Début des hauteurs , fin de la ville) Endroit simple, pas luxueux mais largement plus confortable que d’autre home stay où nous sommes restés !

• elmico (9/5): a good value hotel - I think this is a good value hotel. At first, I didn't know the Wi-Fi password and the hair dryer was broken, but when I asked, they brought me the password and the hair dryer. The Wi-Fi was a little weak and there were a few bugs, but considering the price, there were no particular issues.

• Eliana (1/5): - Die Lage war gut, man ist schnell in der Innenstadt von Kandy und trotzdem ist es ruhig. Die Zimmer waren leider voller Schimmel und waren sehr feucht. Die Ausstattung war leider auch nicht so wie auf den Bildern. Das Hotel ist extrem hellhörig man hört ständig Stühle rücken von oben und die Betten sind extrem hart. Wir haben uns leider überhaupt nicht wohlgefühlt.

• Olimpia (9/5): Nice place closer to the hills, walking distance to town! - Great value for money. Had all we needed, comfy bed and ac. Great location near the calmer parts of town. The balcony was quite tight and decor slightly outdated, but did the job.

Izba bola naoko uprataná, ale prach pod stolom a posteľou ukázal , že veľmi povrchne. Izba vyzerá oveľa , ale naozaj oveľa horšie ako na obrázku. Je stará, ošumelá, ubytovaniu navrhujem upraviť foto. Nie je problém staré vybavenie izby , problém je to , že fotkami klamú. Za najväčší problém považujem špinu. Človek musí rátať, že ázijský štandard čistoty je iný , ako európsky,máme precestovanú Áziu , na samotnej Srí Lanke sme vystriedali asi 7 ubytovaní, ale toto bolo suverénne najhoršie. Nefunkčný fén

• Elisabeth (8/5): Super um sich Kandy genauer anzuschauen. - Die Lage ist ziemlich gut, man ist schnell in der Stadt. In der Küche kann man sein Wasser auffüllen. Zimmer ist schön groß und hatte eine tolle Aussicht Kommunikation mit dem Personal war nicht ganz leicht, aber sie waren sehr bemüht uns alles recht zu machen.

• Fernando (9/5): Hotel comodo y limpio - Alojamiento muy cómodo para visitar Kandy, bien situado cerca del río pero en una zona tranquila sin ruido ni tráfico a 10 min andando del templo del diente. La habitación de dos camas nos pareció amplia, limpia, camas confortables y el baño tal y como se veía en las fotos. El personal fue muy amable y nos ayudó en todo. Volvería sin dudarlo. Buenas relación calidad- precio Nos gustó todo, vendría bien más iluminación en el baño pero es un detalle poco importante.

Tem frigorífico o que dá sempre jeito. Fica junto ao lago mas afastado da estrada e da agitação da cidade. A caminhada junto ao lago é sempre agradável. A entrada pode ser melhorada

• Will (6/5): - die lage und die Aussicht das Zimmer war nicht sauber gewesen,es wurde in 3 Nächte un 4 tagen nichts kontrolliert, keine saubere tücher, kein wasser. um zimmer zu reinigen kümmert sich niemand Anscheinend sollten die Gäste schlüssel am Empfang abgegeben wenn das zimmer gereinigt werden soll. Das hat aber kein mensch gesagt.

Bella soluzione - Albergo che all'esterno e nella hall di ingresso non è molto curato, ma ha camere pulite e spaziose, con bei bagni. E' una ottima soluzione per visitare Kandy. In pochi minuti si arriva alla passeggiata sul lago e in 15 minuti si è al tempio del dente. Non abbiamo consumato la colazione che non era prevista nella nostra prenotazione, ma nescafè e the sono sempre disponibili. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in una camera al 6 piano e il wi-fi non prendeva bene.

• mairh_a (9/5): Μεγάλο και καθαρό δωμάτιο με ωραία θέα στη λίμνη! - Πολύ ωραίο και πολύ άνετο και καθαρό δωμάτιο με βεράντα και θέα στη λίμνη και πολύ κοντά σε αυτήν. το συν ότι έχει ασανσέρ. Είχαμε κλείσει για 2 νύχτες, αλλά δυστυχώς αναγκαστήκαμε να φύγουμε μετά την πρώτη νύχτα, λόγω των έκτακτων καιρικών συνθηκών (πλημμύρες με κατολισθήσεις). Ο ιδιοκτήτης δεν μας χρέωσε την δεύτερη νύχτα. το πρωινό που χρεώνεται εξτρα (1.700 lkr) θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερο (είχε ομελέτα, ψωμί τοστ βούτυρο-μαρμελάδα και λίγα φρούτα). θα μπορούσε να έχει και κάποιες τοπικές γεύσεις πχ πιτούλες, ρύζι, νούτλς κλπ οπως αντιστοίχως σε άλλα καταλύματα που μείναμε αλλού.

• Doris (4/5): - Das Hotel ist ziemlich zentral und man kann vom Balkon aus ein wenig auf den See sehen. Ansonsten auch eine schöne Aussicht. Man kann auch Affen beobachten. Obwohl steht, dass ein Abholdienst vom Bahnhof angeboten wird, kriegt man keine Antwort auf die Anfrage für eine Abholung.

• Sheenaanne (7/5): Good location but WiFi did not work - The owner upgraded our room to a lake view and was very kind to us when we checked in. She also added a fridge at our request They also offer a paid for laundry service. It's a short 10 minute walk to the city area. We could not get hot water from the shower and the host did not tell us we needed to call reception to turn on the immersion heater. As the solar panels had run out of power towards the end of the day. We ended up having cold showers. The WiFi did not work. We resulted moving hotels after one day.

• Elena (10/5): - Calidad-precio insuperable. Había leído algún comentario algo negativo, cosa que no entiendo tras haber estado allí. Habitación muy espaciosa, limpia y cama super cómoda. El baño de los mejores que he visto en Sri Lanka, ya que el baño es lo que suele ser lo peor de los hoteles allí. Es verdad que la entrada al hotel no es lo más bonito que os vais a encontrar pero el hotel cumple con todo lo necesario para estar a gusto en tu noche en Kandy. Por ponerle alguna pega, el hotel está en una colina y habrá personas que esto no les guste. A nosotras nos pareció bien porque el deporte nos gusta y, en caso contrario, siempre tienes opción de tuktuk.

Wir haben das Frühstück dazugebucht, besonders das sri-lankische Frühstück können wir empfehlen (am besten einen Tag vorher bestellen). Die Lage ist ideal, Innenstadt und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Zahlung erfolgte nicht wie auf booking.com beschrieben vorab, sondern erst bei Abreise. Trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung.

• Megan (10/5): City stay in Kandy - The kindest member of staff picked us up from the station. Room very good size and AC worked well. Good water pressure in shower. There was what may have been a school next door and there was group singing at around 8am which was fine for us as we were up early, but may be a concern for others.

La cama es cómoda, las sábanas antiguas, pero estaba bastante limpia para los estándares de aquí. La entrada es una puerta de garaje y hay un sofá que era blanco y ahora es marrón, que da una mala 1era impresión. El hervidor no estaba muy limpio.

• Ice Man (2/5): - Lage nah zum Lake, Wasserkocher plus Tee im Zimmer, guter warmer Wasserstrahl aus der Dusche Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Nicht sauber, leere Shampooflaschen hinter der Duschtür, Haare auf dem Boden... Restaurant und Frühstück nicht wirklich existent. Zimmer sind im 4. und 5. Stock und man kann sie nur mit dem Aufzug erreichen. Geht man das Treppenhaus hinunter, ist der Zugang zum dritten Stock mit einem Schloss verschlossen. Auf Nachfrage wurde das Schloss entfernt und ein Fluchtweg durch ein Büro war möglich.
• Luca (8/5): Soggiorno piacevole e silenzioso in una città caotica - Stanza molto bella, quasi nuova. Staff molto accogliente e vicinanza con il lago e luoghi turistici importanti. Unica pecca:ho fatto la doccia dopo le 7pm e non c'era molta acqua calda, ma devo dire che è una cosa che sto riscontrando spesso nello Sri Lanka, quindi probabilmente non è una colpa della struttura..

• Luca (10/5): Super nice place, room was very new and spacious, very nice owners and staff - We liked everything. The staff (probably the owners and their family members) are super nice, our triple room was super big and very clean with a small balcony and view over the mountains and the lake.you will see monkeys too walking on the wires but we were on the 5th floor so it was far enough. There is a very nice lift. Furniture seemed new , toilet is very good and the hot water was perfect from the shower. The air con is very strong. You will probably not need it a lot as Kandy is 500 m above sea level so it's not very hot in my opinion. The location is nice too ,a few minutes walk from the lake, 2 minutes away from a local restaurant and 3 minutes from a good pizzeria. Breakfast was very good at Janora Hills(not included, but worth paying for it). The room rate is very good quality for the price paid. They have a restaurant too on site but we tried it only for breakfast. Overall 10/10 for this hotel Everything was ok

The room was comfortable with a large bed and the amenities worked including hot water and air conditioning We had breakfast one morning and they hadn't told us beforehand that it was chargeable ( booking.com was not very clear about this in our booking for some reason). While it's ok that it was charged, they charged 1700lkr per person! & The breakfast was very poor, some dry sausages with runny eggs and dry toast. They even had the cheek of adding a 10% services charge hoping we wouldn't notice! I've never paid service charge in a hotel I've stayed at. There are cheaper and better places you can stay at in town

• Regina (7/5): Terrible communication, there are better places to stay - The room is big and bed is comfortable. The young man working there was nice and helpful. Terrible communication. They didn’t reply to my messages in Booking, their number to call is incorrect, use the one on googlemaps. I found it few hours before arrival. “Room with Free pickup from the train station” except they don’t pick you up, they said to get a taxi and they pay for it up to a certain amount (so if you can’t haggle you pay extra). I texted them when I would arrive, which ended up to be later due to the train, so it was after official check in time, yet the room wasn’t ready. We were offered a lower quality room in exchange but we rather waited. It was only 5-10 minutes which is fine, but it was visible the room was cleaned in a haste. I didn’t like this place very much, I think there are better places to stay in Kandy for similar price.
