- Ann (9/5): Cosy, spacious and good for family or group of friends - It’s was spacious and like the place.
We had a hard time trying to find the place especially when night falls early. Our Google map did not help much by providing the exact location.
Owner directed us to find the place. NA

- Patricia (6/5): Lacked the finer touches - Location was fantastic..short walk to the jetty and beach.
Very handy for our visit to Port arthur historical site. Lacked the finer touches.
The fire place had been decommissioned .
The furnishings were still placed to stare at a empty grill.
No rug on the floor so was cold underfoot.
Flat cushions.
The water pump was located in the kitchen so was very noisy everytime you used the toilet ect.
Appeared to have CCTV cameras set up everywhere outside..not a nice feeling being watched.
Pain in the a$%se key code front door lock everytime you went outside.
I don't need a sticky label to tell me to wash the dishes in hot water.
Not a very cosy visit in winter.
- Annette (8/5): The home is amazing. Snuggled in bush land overlooking a bay. Amazing location. Aircon needs to be b - No breakfast provided Air-conditioning was not adequate for the size of the home. Left it on all night to make the home warm.
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (6/5): Nice to use the outside area and bedrooms comfortable. - The position was good. Lounge suit not that comfortable and difficult for everyone to see the TV screen.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (8/5): Very good - Functional. Comfortable beds. Good amenities. Very clean. Good location. Dark with dark brown 80's interior.
- Larainne (8/5): We had a great time for 2 nights in this lovely comfortable house with water views. - Great place to spend time with our family. Large enough to fit 6 people, very comfortable beds, two bathrooms was a bonus, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of DVDs to watch if it's wet, and books to read. In a great location, there's plenty to do nearby - the historic site is only 1 km away, close to The Remarkable Cave, Crescent Bay walk, the Lavender Farm, and much more. We had dinner at Stewart's Bay Lodge Restaurant, only a 5-minute drive away. The perfect getaway.
- Dominic (10/5): Perfect accommodation at Port Arthur for our family of five - thank you! - Excellent location, ample room for our family of five, clean, tidy and very well organised - just perfect for us.

- Malcolm (9/5): Superb - Beautiful house beautiful location
- Castow (7/5): The location was great but unfortunately a few things were amiss. - The location was great - on the water looking across the bay at some of the houses of Port Arthur Historic SIte. The 2nd bathroom (downstairs) was tiny - not big enough for 2 people. The main bedroom upstairs was in the loft area instead of the bedroom so not as private.
- Campbell (10/5): - Lovely place, we enjoyed it immensely.
- Cathy (9/5): Superb -
- Takayuki (8/5): Very good -
- Parker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (8/5): Very good -
- Colleen (8/5): Situation with location - Location, situation, style, facilities and size. I think towels were not washed properly, did not smell all that good and clumps of hair, stray hairs coming off towels as we dried.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful quiet spot in a very scenic area of port Arthur
- Jairo (10/5): - Spacious and comfortable house, clean, very tidy, well equipped kitchen
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view
Great barbecue
Close to Port Arthur Historical site
Washing machine and dryer
Good heating
- JJ (8/5): - Very nice place! It would be better to have a microwave in the house!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If you are sensitive to odors, select another place. Old urine smell dominated the property. My sheets were not clean (there was a pubic hair in my bed), and I found a scorpion in the kitchen. Not impressed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property to stay on the water at Port Arthur
- Verified traveler (8/5): - An old fashioned beach house. Immaculately clean, well appointed with fully equipped kitchen. A good sized space, low key and comfortable.
- Joyce (10/5): Perfect retreat - What a lovely property and as the name suggests a perfect retreat. Full range of amenities and really close to the Port Arthur Historic Site. Only negative was no access to the properties’ WiFi.
- J (8/5): Secluded waterfront - Secluded waterfront standalone house with own jetty. Great location for exploring port Arthur and surrounding areas.
No cell coverage (unless with Telstra or Optus). No wifi.
- Felix (10/5): Big house with high privacy - Spacious house with own garden. Well-equipped kitchen (no dish washer) and washing machine (washing powder provided !)
Upper floor 2 bedrooms share the same bathroom in which the bathroom has 2 doors! Need to lock/unlock the door of another room before and after use. No door for one of room on the upper floor.
Very dark neighborhood. A bit difficult to find the house after dusk. You cannot see the house from the street, only the gate with a small lot no. sign.
The driveway of the house is unpaved. It rained on the day we arrived after 6. I have to step into the mud to open the gate !
Close to Port Arthur historic site.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 1st night was great; fabulous view; property met our expectations.
A power blackout the 2nd day/night/next morning = wasn't even any water. Obviously fairly common occurrence, as there were torches with instructions to use in the event of a power failure + emergency mobile number posted at the front door. Fortunately it answered pretty much straight away, as the keypad entry required power to work. The torches provided were the wrong type: chewed through 4 batteries/hour; we bought some batteries off a neighbour but then ran out. No candles supplied; luckily we had plenty of charge on a tablet - we ate by tablet-light +torchlight from our own little travel ones! The bbq's ignition battery was flat + no matches. The same friendly neighbour gave us a lighter. We had a bbq dinner and had cereal for breakfast, but no water for shower or coffee. The property owner did arrange with Expedia to get a refund of the 2nd night's cost, which was appreciated.
We would recommend good torches, spare batteries, candles and matches + large bottles of water.
Just as well as we called the property owner to see if we could check in earlier than 2pm, as we hadn't received/been sent the email with the special access instructions re the keypad entry. He did send an SMS straight away.
- wazza (10/5): Secluded and comfortable - Neatly hidden away on the edge of Carnarvon Bay Port Arthur with a superb view across the water to the mountains beyond. This was a lovely property best described as a converted family home, now a holiday let, and ideal for a family of up to 6 to enjoy as a base, as we did, for exploring the wonderful Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur Historic site. The open plan living with a large kitchen allowed us to spread out and we watched the very cold wet and extremely windy weather raging outside in warmth and comfort. Highly recommended
- trent (10/5): Perfectly set up house in an amazing location - This amazingly hidden house has a spectacular view and is situated in a great spot. Close to historic sites and shops/cafes. The house has a very homly feel.
