- Jeff (9/5): The Hideaway is a well preserved mid-century modern gem of a place for a quiet retreat. - We love that it was a historic building. Great view of the mountains, Clientele was great and respectful. Loved the calm vibe of the property. We would have liked another couple of days, but that is on us, not the hotel!
- Jennifer (8/5): For a low key stay, a quiet property. - Exceptionally quiet and serene. Room was a good size. Staff was not on site, but available via text. Bed was comfortable. Free snacks were appreciated. Felt a lack of warmth. There’s no onsite staff and no onsite dining so it feels a little dead. The bathroom and especially the sink were very small. No parking. Wasn’t worth the price paid.

Very good communication with the staff The bathroom is tiny. 21 and older was more like 75 and older. We had two couples outside our window for two days. Wine, charcuterie, crudite and conversation at the table next to our door seemed to be a cost effective option to leaving the Hideaway.

- Sigrid (10/5): Always our first choice in Palm Springs. - We are repeat guests who enjoy and appreciate everything about this hotel: size, spacious gated property, pool, location and retro decor. Nothing. It is always beautifully maintained without unnecessary upgrades to ruin its original mid-mod design.
- Melina (9/5): - We usually stay for about a week, so it's nice to be at a self-catered place where you can bring and store your own food and alcoholic drinks. The location is superb so you really don't need a car. The rooms have great storage. The area is quiet. The views of the mountains are totally unobstructed. Margarita is the person on staff most days and makes it feel like she is sharing her own home with you, almost like a B&B. The pool temperature is PERFECT. The courtyard is so lovely. They used to let you check in early if your room was ready and now they charge for it. Seems kind of arbitrary. The shower is small because it's original. Doesn't bother is but something to know.

- Leah (10/5): Unreal. - This truly is a hideaway. We had the best time staying here. It’s so peaceful. The rooms are spacious and vintage. The pool is cool and fun. Super close to downtown and the views were chefs kiss. Being able to self check and come and go as you please was an added bonus. It’s so hard to put in to words how much I enjoyed my trip here!! No faults.

- André (10/5): Maintain standard - Very friendly and attentive staff in housekeeping. There are legitimate rules of conduct set by the owner, but they are not enforced. As a result, some guests, especially smaller groups, behave inconsiderately. For example, glass by the pool, smoking on the premises, loud conversations, music by the pool, etc. This behavior detracts from the uniqueness of the hideaway. It is the special tranquility that has brought us here so far. We hope that it stays that way and that the rules are enforced.

It is so well maintained, I loved the room, the pool is beautiful, you cannot beat the location for food and easy parking, and the view is just awe inspiring. It felt like an apartment and the snacks saved me after a long day of travel. Love the team and cannot wait to get back to stay here again!

- Quynh (10/5): lovely stay. - for architecture buff, this is a mid century Jewell located a short walk from main street. I wish you added bikes, like Del Marcos hotel, for guests use. nice elcome snacks and drinks. no shade near or above the pool. the umbrelas could not be moved
- Adam (9/5): If you love MCM like we do, it's an absolutely magical place. - Amazing MCM look and feel. I love that the place was being renovated but the original patina was being kept true. The grounds were well maintained and the caretaker's communication was excellent. The location was awesome, very walkable if it was not 110 degrees outside. Renovations were going on at the time of our stay. The hot tub was closed and under construction. The internet was hit and miss. Not easy to work off of in the room. It was better around the pool.

We initially booked another "luxe" hotel that just had very rude staff and weird vibes. We booked the Hideaway and we are so glad we did. It was quiet, lovely, clean pool, and I loved the decor. So charming. And LOVED the record player. It was a nearly perfect stay and we will be back. However, I would have liked a comfier bed. It felt a bit too "springy" for me. Although my partner said it was completely fine for him, so just personal preference.

Location to the main business district was perfect The hotel price included access to a lounge-kitchen area which had been closed since Covid and had not reopened. I felt that was misleading as a convenience that is included in the price of the accommodation

- docneneng (10/5): Travel back in time and escape! - I’m glad we took our friend’s recommendation and booked at the Hideway. This is their favorite place to stay at and is also now our favorite place. Walking distance to downtown but extremely quiet. My only regret is that we should’ve booked 3 nights instead of 2. It was an old apartment complex and had a kitchenette that you could use if you wanted to. Snack basket was nice and the starter drinks in the fridge. Bed large and comfortable. Bathroom amenities were adequate and lotion smelled nice. It’s a no contact hotel which was different. If you’re self sufficient (which we are), it’s kinda nice. If you need something, they check in several times before and throughout the stay by email or txt anyway. 21+ and very clear on the rules of “This is a place for people to relax.” So no parties or rowdy crowds or loud obnoxious people by the pool area or anywhere. My kind of traveling.

- George (9/5): Great! - I came to Palm Springs for a wedding. The Hideaway was close to the wedding venue so it was perfect. It's also close to the strip, so it was very walkable. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and it was so quiet and peaceful there!
- Biminy (8/5): A Relaxing Oasis - This was a nice quiet property, contactless check in/out made it feel almost like an Air B&B. The heated saline pool was a highlight. We didn’t know the pool was going to be a shallow wading pool, but it didn’t matter since it was so perfect. The room was a nice size and the kitchenette was stocked with little complementary treats which was fun. The room was cute, well styled, and very clean. The bed and pillows were a little stiff for me, but it was fine for a few nights. It was nice to have access to the lounge to hang out in during the rain. This property is walking distance to the art museum and many good restaurants. We always try to stay in this neighborhood when we visit Palm Springs and have walked by this place many times. I’m glad we gave it a try! We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again. It had an interesting architectural history which makes it unique.

Would suggest upgrading those. Also, the air conditioning didn’t work well - can’t imagine staying there when it’s 100 degrees plus.

I would come back to Palm Springs JUST to stay here again! We loved everything! Only downer was that the little “hang out” room wasn’t open. The staff said that was because of city regulations though (after covid they still haven’t lifted all the closures I guess) but that’s not the property’s fault!

And the shower knobs were hard to turn off and on. Wish they still had the continental breakfast each morning. Overall, a good value.
