- Lory (10/5): Would start again!!!! - Location is great with walking trails and water near by and various drink and food options. Staff was amazing! I loved the property. But just the higher cost than normal stays due to Events in the area.
- Cheyenne (7/5): -
- Penny (10/5): - Easy to get to. Tasty breakfast and eating area was nicely laid out. Nice workout room. Great snack selections.
- Angie (4/5): Couldn’t control Tv with remote was frustrating when you had a long day and had to do it by hand every time you want to -
- Heidi (9/5): - Clean and easy to find, close to where we needed to go Being on second floor at the end of hallway away from elevator
- William (8/5): -
- Rick (10/5): We will stay again and would recommend. - Beds were comfortable, rooms were exceptionally clean! Asked for adjoining rooms and it was accommodated. Close to the superior school where we needed to be. Breakfast was wonderful! Everything you could think of for breakfast and then some! Impressive. Room was a little too hot/stuffy at night. Turned the heat down and it helped but it seemed to revert back up to the original heat.
- Ryan (10/5): The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The staff was great and the breakfast was amazing! - The staff was incredibly helpful. They answered all of our questions and were very friendly. The breakfast was great. We went back for 2nd and 3rd just so we could have a little bit of everything. Nothing, We were very pleased with everything.
- Fran (10/5): - The TV stations that were provided. Only one free network station was provided.
- Sherrie (8/5): it was very clean, food was good, loved the beds.. would stay there again - I loved the location of our room because my husband has a hard time walking. They gave us handicap room (which I did not request) on the 2nd floor right outside the elevator.. that was so helpful our tv did not work, we had the manager come up and it took about 30 min to get it to stay on, then we were suppose to get really close to change the channel, half the time the tv would not work again.
- Janene (9/5): - Room darkening shades! No light from the street and surrounding buildings.
- Karen (8/5): Relaxing and peaceful. - Breakfast was good. Various options. Staff were nice. Pool was nice. Bed was average to good. Room was mostly clean. I thought the room I selected on-line had more than actual. But I didn't remember exactly what I had selected.

- R4063QPchrisb (10/5): Duluth/Bentleyville Xmas Light Display - Coming to town to view Xmas light Display. The venue had Hampton as one of the preferred lodging locations. Made the call and receptionist was extremely pleasant and took care of our reservations. At check in, John was just as easy to work with. He gave us dinner options and directions. Our rooms were clean, very nice and spacious. Morning breakfast options were numerous and delicious. Definitely will stay again next year.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Christina (9/5): -
- Suzanne (2/5): Poor management - It was close to an event we were attending. The hotel walls are paper thin. We asked to be moved due to kids playing hockey above us. They would not accommodate a move and the noise continued very late into the night.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Anderson (5/5): I will never stay there again. - I I didn't realize they didn't have a hot tub, and the pool area was very cool. People very loud above us. Also put us in a hearing room.
- Garcia (9/5): - Rooms very nice
- Gail (9/5): Good time and comfortable stay. - Breakfast was great! All was well.
- Ardell (10/5): -
- Barry (10/5): Nice hotel with courteous staff - Clean
- Janel (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): - Very quiet. Good breakfast. Well lit parking.
- ELIZABETH (9/5): Clean, comfy and perfect for nights stay. Would book again. - Clean room and breakfast area. Comfy bed. Hot breakfast with fresh fruit a bonus. Nothing at all
- Molly (10/5): - Fine. ?
- Greg (7/5): Superior visit - Clean spacious room. Breakfast offering was simple but had a variety of choices. Everything was well stocked. TV remote was useless, couldn't change stations or power off unless standing 2ft in front of it
- Roger (10/5): - I thoroughly appreciated the art that was displayed within the hotel - very different from many other hotels. Also, the staff were very helpful.
- Edward (6/5): - The hotel itself was fine- clean, comfortable.
Check in staff made me feel like second rate citizen because we were booked through Expedia. No you can’t be on first floor not in your room plan; our room was adjacent to the elevator hub so we could hear it whenever it was used. No glassware except coffee cups - not good for a glass of wine. Basic towels two each
- Vanesa (4/5): - Parking was convenient.
At 3pm check-in, the front desk staff member (her badge read “The Debster”) informed me that my room wasn’t ready and promised to call my cell phone once it was available. After waiting without receiving a call, I returned to the front desk at 3:30pm only to discover my room had been ready with no notification.
During check-out on Thursday morning (7:00-7:30am), I found the same staff member smoking with two colleagues directly by the main entrance. I had to interrupt their break to request assistance with check-out and obtaining a printed receipt (which she was unable to provide since “the room was booked via a 3rd party”.
My dog-friendly room contained dog treats left under the desk by previous guests. Fortunately, I noticed them before my dog could access them, as my dog has food allergies.
- SCBegl (10/5): Superior get away - Wonderful stay! Very clean rooms , enjoyed the front desk lady who checked us in & out. Very friendly and had a great sense of humor! Also helpful.
- Stephen (10/5): - All my expectations were met.
- Kimmarie (10/5): - Very clean and friendly staff
- Kevin (10/5): - Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast.
- Peter (2/5): - Got a room next tobte elevator - terrible. We checked out right away
- JOHN (10/5): - Great service
- Gregory (10/5): - Bed was comfortable. 4 pillows and bedding smelled fresh and clean.

- robertlH6113ZV (10/5): Good hotel choice for Bridge Park area - Excellent choice for Canal Park activities. Modern Hampton hotel located directly on Lake Superior with view of the ship canal and lift bridge from many rooms. Good free breakfast buffet. Free parking, pool. Walking distance to sights and some restaurants. A bit expensive for a Hampton, but you're paying for the location.
- Douglas (10/5): - Clean and quiet with an excellent breakfast.
- Vacationer800560 (8/5): Nice hotel - This is a very new and clean hotel. It is located near the bay and there is a lovely walking trail across the street. The breakfast was very good too.
- Juan (10/5): -
- Karen (8/5): - Newer location close to highway and border crossings
- Randy (9/5): -
- Vern A (10/5): - very clean and staff were polite
- J4138EIdaveh (10/5): Perfect stay with zero negatives! - After a week on the road and six other hotel stays, it was wonderful to have a place this nice. Zero negatives. One of only two 5-star reviews I've given this year. Immediate check-in service. Complementary bottled water. Comfortable beds (too often hotels opt for the cheaper, harder beds.) Room was spotless. Good pillows. Great shower, sink, all room amenities. Great breakfast with lots of options. Good coffee. Great location- just 7 minutes to downtown Duluth. This hotel checked all my boxes.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Jodi (10/5): - The hotel was clean, friendly staff, and good breakfast selection. We were happy they provided a pack n play for our infant as well.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Will stay here again… - The hotel over all was great from cleanliness, staff, the room and even which lots of hotel had failed is the bathroom area. Hotel bathroom was very clean and amenities were great
- Heather (9/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): - Grea
- Richard (10/5): -
- Evgeny (2/5): - Dirty water in the pool, mold in our shower. Staff was not ready to take care of the issues.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional - 😊 👍
- William (8/5): OK overall - Kind of hard to get to, you drive through another parking lot to get there. Room is OK. Probably a little over priced.
- Alyssa (8/5): Great location and comfy beds! - Clean room, super comfy bed, huge bathroom, nice smelling toiletries. Nothing.
- Richard (10/5): - 19 day trip -- This was the nicest place we stayed. Nice big room, all the necessities, good breakfast.
- kirk (10/5): - Very impressed. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Hot coffee in the lobby at 4:30 am was spectacular.
- Michelle (8/5): - This is a clean hotel with friendly staff. Good location to both Superior and Duluth
- James (10/5): - great location. easy access to the highway
- danar54 (8/5): VERY good! - I thought this place would not be as nice as it was because the price was so low, so I was pleased when I discovered: Great location by the water and close to restaurants. Super breakfast with a cheery server. The TV remote worked well which I find can be a thing with Hiltons, and the fitness center was very good.
- Linda (10/5): - Clean, quiet, and accessible. Good breakfast options.
- Carlos (10/5): - Clean, and great service
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabra (9/5): Superb -
- Colleen (10/5): - The breakfast was wonderful! The breakfast area was very nice with plenty of seating. The 65 degree temperature was chilly though. The location was great! Nearby walking trail along Lake Superior and many restaurants nearby. The tour of the Whaleback ship was interesting!!
- Melissa (10/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, delicious breakfast with strawberry waffles and lots of other options. Walked across the street to a beautiful walking trail along the harbor. Our stay was great!
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): - M
- Hervey (10/5): Exceptional -
- charlesf930 (10/5): Exceeds Expectations by Far - I have never felt more welcomed at any hotel than this one... anywhere! It was Grandmas Marathon weekend and we were welcomed in an unparalleled fashion. This goes for races in Chicago, NYC, Houston, London or anywhere! Jist amazing hospitality and greatly appreciated!
- Nazareth (10/5): - Over the many years of visiting this property it has not disappointed in any way. Even during the brief Covid pandemic this facility stayed true to its core values and commitment of providing attentive staff and clean rooms. A traveler couldn’t really ask for more.
- William (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - Room was nice, bathroom was clean and bigger than I expected. Breakfast had a nice variety. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. The pillows were not great quality. We would have also liked a side chair in the room not just a desk chair to sit in.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tami (10/5): I would definitely stay here again when we do the Marathon next year! - It was an easy location to access. It was close to Lake Superior. We were in Duluth MN area for the Grandma’s Marathon. The staff at the Hampton put out wonderful welcome for runners and their families including decorations, snacks and Marathon Day kits with necessities for runners. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast had a lot to offer and the staff were very courteous and helpful! I really can’t think of anything. The bathroom door didn’t really stay closed but that’s probably an easy fix. It wasn’t a big deal to us.
- Stephen (10/5): - Nice
- Westimayer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taleisha (10/5): - Great accommodation for anyone running Grandmas! Really thoughtful. Staff were all wearing Grandmas shirts. They had welcome bags for runners, to go breakfast bags in the AM and had opened breakfast up at 4am. Would def stay here again for race weekend.
- Michele (10/5): Just what we needed for our journey - The room was nice and clean and best of all it was on the ground floor and the first room closest to the exit so it was easy to take my dog in and out
- Jeremy (5/5): Passable - Grounds and building were clean, staff friendly, when they were around. Bed was hard, uncomfortable, pillows were soft but hard on inside, all around uncomfortable. And my room view was great except for the one "crack shack" as my wife put it,across the rear parking lot. Dilapidated garage/shed thing at an adjacent house. Small room for the price.
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional - Best breakfast!!!!!
- Jane (10/5): - It was safe and convenient. Saved money! Great place & amazing breakfast. Thanks!!
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Joseph (8/5): Very good - Bed was comfy.
Employees were very gracious. Definitely not enough sound barrier between rooms. We were on the first floor, and upstairs people sounded like a herd of elephants.
- muradif (10/5): - Love it .
- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautiful, newer property. The room was lovely and spacious. The pool and breakfast were great as well.
- Devin (10/5): I visited for a wedding in the area. My family and in-laws loved the hotel! - The staff was VERY friendly and helpful every time we interacted with them. The breakfast was consistently good every morning. The lounge area was very welcoming and provided a nice space for the other guests in my party to hang out between events. Rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfy. The blackout curtains were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel!
- Dale (9/5): Superb -
- Bennett (10/5): - Good location, clean room, better than average free breakfast.
- AYE AYE (10/5): - Yes.

- N1401ZRchristopherr (10/5): Hampton Inn Superior, WI, April 2025 - I stayed at the Hampton Inn in early April 2025. When I checked in "The Debster" was working, and she took exceptional care of me during my brief 3-night stay. She was unfailingly helpful, friendly, and professional. When I come back to Duluth for work again, I will be sure to stay at this Hampton inn, just because she works there. Thank you Ma'am! v/r, "Doc"
- Pamela (10/5): - Beautiful rooms, great desk clerk, fabulous breakfast!!!
