- Lucia (2/5): Terribile - Era tutto molto sporco, dopo averlo fatto presente ci hanno cambiato stanza ma praticamente era uguale a quella precedente, purtroppo avevamo già pagato il soggiorno sennò avremmo cambiato hotel. Abbiamo utilizzato il servizio di lavanderia ma ci hanno perso dei indumenti e mai più recuperati senza neanche un chiedere scusa. Il peggio è stato però la colazione, dopo aver letto le recensioni mi aspettavo chissà che cosa invece nessuna scelta, anzi, la prima fatta mi ha fatto male, e sono riuscita a prendermi la prima intossicazione alimentare con delle uova, dopo aver viaggiato in tutto il Nepal ed in condizioni estreme alla fine mi ammalo "nell hotel". Ciliegina sulla torta è stata che prima di andare via ci volevano far pagare una notte in più non so per quale motivo. È la prima volta che mi capita dopo tanti anni di viaggio, sconsiglio!!!

- Ida KS (9/5): - When I arrived, the room I booked was not available, but I got upgraded to a family room without extra cost. The staff was super friendly and they serve an excellent breakfast! Kettle is provided in the room as well as drinking water, toiletries and towels. I also could leave my luggage while I was looking for another place to stay. The bed in the family room was not in good conditions and I wasn't able to stay more than one night because the type of room I wanted was not free. Many of the rooms do not have windows/view.

Toiletries and fresh towels were also included. Our hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. A definite highlight was the breakfast: varied, delicious, and very satisfying, served with excellent service! We also appreciated the option to do laundry for a small fee, which was very convenient. We had such a positive experience that we chose to stay here twice during our trip to Kathmandu. The shower didn't have hot water at times.

The location is close and handy to the hustle and bustle of Thamel and Kathmandu There was no hot water and unpleasant fragrances, especially in the bathroom. The room was advertised with several things that it simply didn't have. Views of the mountains and city for one. And I certainly found no sign of a flat screen tv. The facilities were particularly rundown

- Ana Monge (7/5): Una estancia muy agradable - El personal es muy agradable y serviciales. Nos dejaron dejar las maletas nuestro último día en la recepción mientras esperábamos a nuestro vuelo. Nos recogieron del aeropuerto por un servicio de 10 euros que nos ayudó mucho para llegar al hotel sin problemas. Por el servicio nos quedaríamos de nuevo y la zona es perfecta para moverte por la ciudad. Se llega a todos lados andando y tienes varios sitios cerca para desayunar y comer muy buenos. Las instalaciones estan algo anticuadas. La cama era muy cómoda pero las sábanas tenían bolas creadas por el uso, y al dormir la notabamos. Y la cabeza de ducha de la habitación tenía una rotura que hacía que se llenase el cuarto de baño entero de agua.

- Myriam (9/5): We simply love Hotel Pomelo and its people - We got upgraded for the same price to a 3-person room. The room was really beautiful and spacious, with a big comfortable bed, and very clean. The owners and staff are just wonderful and always ready to help. This is the 1st time in our 8 years of travels across Asia that the owner waited for our arrival way past 10 pm and welcomed us with a delicious cup of coffee. Their big breakfast is really good, and the kitchen staff provide a fast and efficient service. One of the young men makes a mean Masala omelet, delicious to start the day. Hotel Pomelo is also a travel agency, very handy for activities and ticket bookings. The owner also spent time talking about his native region and their history, which I really appreciated. Hotel Pomelo delivers great value for money. Our room faced a building across a small alley that was quite noisy but quieted down later at night. Be aware that the bathroom is rather small. Although there is hot water from solar energy, during the rainy days, the electric system has to be switched on. That led to some weird practice to get the hot water to the shower, but we managed. We found the owners quick at solving problems. Not a problem for us, but for those less mobile, please realize that there is no elevator.

Basic amenities like ceiling fan, proper bed not there. Claustrophobic rooms with low ceiling. Am sure guests will not return once they experience what I did. I would suggest they better take orientation course on how to update themselves in running hotel business instead of just deceiving travellers. They should think long term otherwise everything there is in run down condition

- Taylah (7/5): Pleasant - The location was good it was a short walk away from the markets and restaurants. The staff were really lovely and attentive. The breakfasts in the morning were great - fruit bowl and eggs with toast + coffee or tea. Makes the mornings a lot easier. We originally booked the “budget” room which we upgraded as the bed was way too hard. The room itself was a little smaller, no windows that you could see outside but had a fan and clean, expect a few roaches. The room upgrade was worth it - the bed was by far more comfortable, clean, bigger room and windows that you could see outside. The rooftop was pretty cool as well. It was a little noisy, I think the way the building is- it echos throughout the building and the way the streets are built up the noise travels from the streets.
