Had a little issue with the room service feature but William at the front desk was extremely helpful during our stay and helped advice my partner and I on ordering food to our room, kept us plied with water and also helped us shelter during a tornado! How did they earn 5 stars you’re wondering? Her name is Jaydah! This woman worked her butt off to provide an outstanding experience for the guest I saw her interact with, and for me. The day after checking in, as I walked through the lobby, Jaydah called me by name to ask me about my day (which was instantly made better). Professional, warm, competent, bright… Jaydah! 5 start! Glasses in room were dirty and smudged which was cleaner than the glasses they had at the conference brakes. Several glasses still had food stuck to them! The shower drained at a remarkably slow pace meaning you would be standing in water for the entire shower. Location is about the best thing this hotel can offer because it is close to everything but the price point doesn't outweigh this benefit.

I have never had a bad experience at the Marriott in the capital district downtown.. this was however my first year without snow so that's frightening. The hotel is starting to show it's age though. The valet crew, especially Talon, really made my stay. I was leaving in my rental car every day and they always had my vehicle ready for me in what felt like seconds! They are so incredibly attentive. The only downside to this vacation is that the hotel does not have laundry and there are microwaves in the rooms. . It has literally everything else but laundry. The food you can order to your room was phenomenal but always too much, and not having a microwave to reheat it made it pointless to keep anything. There was not enough tea restocked, but the cleaning ladies did a great job maintaining the room and always had fresh towels. But the remotes for the TV ar clunky and don't always work. The lack of a microwave, the lack of a safe, the fan in the bedroom that buzzed when the heat came on, and the drapes that don't close all the way. Small things start to add up. Despite the close proximity to the airport I may finally try to stay elsewhere in the future if they have more modern amenities.

- NSVKAT (10/5): Overall a Great Experience! - I never expect 5-star service, but certainly know when an employee presents it, and happy to share experiences with others. Valet & Housekeeping presented 4-star service. Adequate, but not exceptional. Front Desk would be a 5, except for one overwhelmed Aiden (probably because there were several waiting in line) who did not represent the hotel well. A request for the shuttle to take us 2-blocks to the CHI center on a brutally cold evening due to a torn meniscus was denied because “the shuttle would be going in the opposite direction”. In the time it took the valet to retrieve our car, the empty shuttle could have taken us to the CHI. Poor decision, and poor delivery reflected the need for additional training. The Front Desk team that greeted us on arrival were exceptional! And the brightest star, Kate who took care of us at the restaurant for breakfast on our final morning is the reason the entire team at the hotel deserves the highest accolades of 5-stars! She exceeded our expectations in every way. She has a calm, welcoming vibe. She was not intrusive at all, which can sometimes be an issue with accommodating service, she enhanced our experiences by simply being there. We will forever hold high regard for Omaha Marriott Downtown -Capitol District because of Kate and her exceptional service.

Everybody at the hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming! When I arrived I had an issue with my room but it was quickly remedied and I was move rooms without question. The restaurant staff is amazing! Ahdi and Kate provide first class service at breakfast time. This hotel truly feels like a proper full service Marriott experience. It was nothing short of perfect.

He is PERFECT for this position. He’s friendly, courteous, engaging and humorous. He checked in just enough and clearly knew exactly when to do so. This was by far the best experience I’ve had in a hotel bar for a very long time! The hotel is lovely, but Collin is the icing on the cake (oh the crème brûlée was dreamy too). I needed to make a quick work deadline and having use of the space that was quiet, had ample room to spread out and plug in my laptop was wonderful. The atmosphere was inviting and conducive to getting everything done in time. Drinks and snacks in the lounge were a welcoming touch!

Love the hotel and location that is walkable to all kinds of parks, restaurants, sports bars. The staff is always amazing, Talon is my favorite late night vallet and Rosa always has my room nice, clean and refreshed. By far one of my favorite cities to stay in because of this hotel.

- Crecia (6/5): Mixed Experience - Pros: Close to the airport. Friendly and accommodating staff. Cons: This appears to be an older hotel with a few cosmetic updates. For example, they have beautiful hardwood floors in the guest rooms (I prefer these to carpet) but the bathroom needed repairs. Many of the areas in need of improvement are a combination of personal preference and lack of attention. The hotel supplies 1-ply toilet tissues (I prefer 2-ply). The bathroom lighting is too low to appropriately apply makeup. The complimentary amenities other hotels provide is lacking. I also had to ask housekeeping staff for additional towels. The bedding is of a lower quality. It took a few minutes for the hot water to appear in the shower; just run it a while before stepping in. Housekeeping during my stay was "lite touch" meaning they made the bed and changed towels but didn't do anything else (they didn't even attend to the ice bucket which I used each day. I had to re-use the same plastic bag and empty the bucket after each use). I would advise bringing Lysol to spray linens and wipe down surfaces before, during and after the stay. Despite the cons, I would stay here again. The space was plentiful and near eateries. Staff was amazing. Note: I had never been to Nebraska before and it was quite a task trying to find litter cans anywhere! This includes in hotels, restaurants, event venues, and on the street. What gives with that?!?

The room is luxurious & comfortable, we LOVE the food & drinks at Burdock + Bitters and their staff are attentive, courteous, and remembered us when we came back to eat there a second time! This was our 2nd stay here, I just booked our 3rd for January 2026... we'll never stay anywhere else in Omaha!
