Guest Reviews
- Rachel (6/5): - Very basic hotel, great for a good sleep if you plan to be out all day. Person communicating via APP is polite and responds quickly. There was no staff present at check in/out which made things difficult. As others mentioned: there is no hot water on par with North American standards and the linens are basic with no extras. My room had blinds that did not work well, causing a view from either side of the window.
- Nancy (6/5): - The manager is a prince and maintains the public areas well. The room was noisy (right on the street) and facilities were VERY basic: minimal decor, tv inoperable, no bathroom towel bars/hooks, thrift store decor of minimal furniture, short on linens. Good mini-fridge though and efficient a/c. Restaurant attached and market nearby. Good location for walking access to groceries, restaurants, and beach.
- chaimae (2/5): - Sea Breeze Town was the filthiest, most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed in. The room was covered in spider webs, the pillows reeked, and the air was unbearable without opening the window—only to be swarmed by mosquitoes. There was no hot water, and when I asked, the worker rudely said, “This is not a five-star hotel.” No blankets were provided, and the one they gave me was dirty, thin, and smelled awful. Every day, we asked for a refund or to speak to the owner, but the worker kept lying, saying he was “coming”—he never did. We were counting the days until we could leave this nightmare. This place should be shut down. Avoid at all costs!
- Vincent (10/5): - I love the people I loved the location I love the food and everything was in walking distance only thing they need better linen clean sheets and some towels other than that I will give them a 4out of a 5
- Recardo (10/5): - Amazing and friendly host
- Loydie (8/5): - Stay was good the restaurant great food
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Need improvement on the bathroom. The shower hose is broken. And it needs a couples o shell on the wall.
- Ameresh (2/5): - Not as expected
- Joan Sebastian (10/5): A happy island, a happy hotel - Excelente atención, personal muy educado y amigable. Siempre dispuesto a atender a sus visitantes
- Francis (4/5): - Nothing like
- Verified traveler (2/5): Run away - Filthy room, putrid smell from bathroom. No cleaning service, no even changing towels. Do not stay there, you'll regret it.
- Winnie Carol (8/5): Great - It was good! See Breeze Town is located near to the beach and the airport! Joey and Sammy were so kind with us. Looking forward to come back soon!
- Kayla (8/5): - We had a great time! Great price! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Sammy showed us around and was there to answer any questions. The pool was nice and there is free parking out front. Plus we had a mini fridge in our room which was nice. The only downside is the shower water didn’t get hot and the beds were a little hard. I’d definitely stay here again soon!
- Phaneemdar reddy (2/5): - No towles, no change of sheets, no wifi, no room cleaning services. Owner is rude on phone when questioned about same and asked to us to leave property for half refund.
- Tenisecia (8/5): - My room was clean and basic. They just need to add a small microwave, blanket, extra garbage bags and it would be complete for a Basic room in Aruba.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a fan - This was my first trip to the Caribbean, and I booked the cheapest place I could find. Went to check in at the front desk/restaurant, and the two people behind the counter looked confused, and started phoning someone (I'm assuming to confirm). No one asked for my name or anything, they just handed me a key and I saw the charge on my card the next day. The room had a horrible mildew/mold smell, and the air conditioner did not work. I had to move the bed to right under the unit to find some relief. What's worse was the broken a/c made a loud buzzing sound every 30 seconds, making it difficult to get quality sleep. This was an absolute bare-minimum accommodation, there was no soap anywhere, not even hand soap in the bathroom. The room and bed were fairly clean, however, there were old bandages stuck to the shower head, so I'm not sure how well they're cleaning in there. As for the shower, there is one knob, and one temperature--tepid, so no escape from the heat there either. The two staff members I saw for the entirety of my stay weren't rude by any means, but they were certainly awkward. I had almost no interactions with them. The outside of the property had an awful rotting garbage stench, I'm assuming from the dumpster and old grease barrels situated right in front of the entrance. I learned my lesson, do the research before you go.
- Chuck (8/5): Cheap, basic accommadations - This is a very simple little hotel. The courtyard and pool are quite nice and the attached restaurant is good. The room was clean and well maintained but basic. Air conditioning worked well, which is so important here. We were able to walk to Sunshine beach and the nice beachside restaurants (even into town but it is a bit long). With only 6 rooms there isn't a front desk, so we just talked with someone in the restaurant and they let us in our room. As many reviewers noted, they don't provide soap, shampoo, etc. There was only a sheet on the bed, no blanket. The hot water didn't seem to work so our showers were all Aruba warm. Overall, for a cheap couple of nights to extend our stay, it was a good experience and we would do so again. But we probably wouldn't stay a week without a few minor conveniences added to the room.
- Roderick (10/5): - Everything nice
- Khushboo (2/5): - It was really weird. I agreed we booked it last minute but 2 hrs after checking in they told us to leave and refuse to provide anything like bedsheets, blanket, water or anything. So we left within 2 hrs. Also, there was no safety the main door was broken so anyone can come in and go.
- Mariela (6/5): - Equipamiento incompleto.
- Louis-Pascal (8/5): - I strongly recommend that property
- Kenneth (10/5): - A wonderful spot to stay. Felt like family
- Brett (10/5): The best place to stay on the island - This place was amazing. It’s not one of those overpriced 5 star hotels everyone stays at. This is on a nice quiet street. The room was perfect for what I needed. Sammy the owner is such a great guy. I was hanging out with him for a bit in the evenings. When I return to Aruba, I am definitely staying here again.
- Rick (4/5): Disappointing - Disappointing in several ways. No hand soap in the rooms. Had nobody been in the restaurant when we arrived, we would not have known how to check in. Strong sewage smell in the bathroom with water leaking from the toilet. Noisy resident in the suite next to us. He was still drinking outside in the morning. Owner needs to figure out if this is a hotel / short term rental or low-cost housing. This little place has great potential but I would not recommend it as is.
- Veronica (8/5): Veldig fint hotell! Kommer til å bo her igjen!
- Maria (8/5): - I liked the proximity to where I needed to be for training.
Didn't like that there was no hand or body soap and garbage bins in the room. Shower heads are to high and need to be cleaned as the water was not coming out properly
- Antonina (8/5): - It’s simple, good and quiet property with very friendly staff.
- Louise (8/5): - Basic but did the job. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Conveniently located near the beach and the airport and away from noisy town centre.
- Robert (10/5): - I give the Seabreeze in Town a 5 star rating for overall value in its category. The owner Joey is regularly on the premises insuring that guests are comfortable, and that their needs are being met. The food at the adjacent restaurant Cocos is fantastic. Owner Ruthie and manager Reggie do an amazing job of conveniently offering tasty meals with a rotating menu. To be honest, for the nightly price of $50 USD, I cannot imagine staying at a better place in Aruba. Once you consider that this small hotel is literally only a 4 minute walk from the beach, with easy access to night time food trucks and bars, you can't beat this deal!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was very prompt with follow up after the reservation
- Jeremy (8/5): - Was heel klantvriendelijk en zou de volgende keer weer blijven keep the good work guys
- Joshua (10/5): Great stay - This is a great place to stay especially for a solo traveler. I didn’t want to pay the high resort prices for just myself, and the budget accommodations at Sea Breeze Town are perfect. The rooms are clean and the owner Joey is a chill guy. Good location near the airport and walking distance to the beach. Just make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Aruba getaway January 2022 - My stay at Sea Breeze Town was very relaxing. Very quiet clean pool. Clean room. The shower head was loose so needs some maintenance. Coco restaurant right next door with great food and atmosphere. Five min bus ride from airport. Supermarket, pharmacy, buses walking distance. An 8 minute walk to Surfside Beach including bars, restaurants, ice cream parlor by the beach. Walk to movie theater, souvenir shops, plenty more restaurants and tours within a 28 min walk. Can’t wait to return to Aruba. Would stay at this location again. “One Happy Island”
- Kenan (8/5): Simple and clean in a great location. - Our room was simple and clean. The hotel is in a great central location to explore the island though I would recommend having a rental car if you stay there. The pool and patio area is cute. The connected restaurant is nice.
- Gayle-Ann (6/5): Good to simply lay down your head - Sea Breeze is clean and basic. Nothing fancy. The AC was wonderful.
Joey was very responsive, both before and during the trip.
The bed wasn't comfortable for two, but if you're traveling solo it could have been fine. Convenient to the airport and the island is just a taxi or bus ride away. Even better if you rent a vehicle.
The water is heated by the sun and there is no shortage of sun. But if you're into long hot showers, you'll be out of luck.
On the same property is the restaurant Coco's. Eat there! Very nice people and great food.
Bottom line: If you're looking for a luxury stay, keep looking. If you're looking for clean, affordable and convenient to the airport, this is it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy, convenient - Great little place for a workcation. Having Coco’s there was a great bonus. Very affordable and cozy. Fun to get to know the others. The only downside was lack of or dated furniture. Could have used a desk.
I liked this place because it was out of the way of the tourists. Exactly what I was looking for
- Paul (10/5): Excellent - Very good area to stay, especially for your first visit to Aruba. You have the city center close by, and all the good restaurants at the City Market for tourists. All in good waking distance. Small hotel with good service, and a small restaurant, which is affordable and the food is very good. Joey the owner from the Netherlands, will go out of his way to make sure your stay at the hotel is comfortable, and will also give you any information about the island.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - When we are in Aruba we love staying at this property by Mangel Halto! Joey is a great host; it’s always clean - close to the beach and just easy to get in and out to town and the rest of the island. We highly recommend this property for value especially!
- Jithin (6/5): - Overall it was nice. Just a 30 minute walk or 5 minute ride from the airport. 7 minute walk to the beach. Only problem we had is the bathroom smell like sewer the whole time. You leave and come back and the smell is so bad you want to throw up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is excellent, for getting around, the workers are friendly, the room we stayed in had a minor leak in the bathroom, the towels could use some improvement, other than that everything else was ok.
- johan (10/5): Very good - Nice room. Small pool. Colombian restaurant good value for money for lunch. Walking distance to beach. Airport a 25 min walk away.
- Laura (6/5): Good Affordable Location - Over all location is good for the price, safe neighborhood, close to a beach and a nice walk to town along a walking/ biking path close to the water. Great for couples or groups as it’s very quiet, not a social spot. Check in was a little weird as there is no office per say. I found someone at the restaurant who then called to confirm which room I was in and told me I would find the keys in the room. Restaurant is only open during they day so be sure to fill up your water jug then. Though there was support through what’s app my only real complaint is that there is no management or reception presence on the premise, you are kinda on your own especially at night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Joey and the staff took great care of us.
A great home base for exploring the island.
