• RYOKO (10/5): - I had heard that Bodrum was full of nightclubs, but the area was a bit remote so the noise was not an issue. The room and pool were clean and had a nice view of the ocean. I arrived in Otogar at night, so the last Dolmuş that could take me directly there was over, so I changed at the Bodrum Center. The receptionist was also very helpful. I would like to stay longer next time.

• A (10/5): - I had a sea view double room at their 3rd floor as I requested. The view was amazing. The chairs and table in the balcony are comfy and allows fantastic moments with a cup of coffee while watching the yacht harbor. The mattress was medium hard -which is great for me- and pillows were comfy with 2 types to chose from. Furniture is simple, clean and functional. Now the final word is for the staff, they let you feel at home.

Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist jedoch nicht schön, insbesondere das Badezimmer ist eine Katastrophe. Eigentlich müssten die Zimmer komplett neu renoviert werden

• Stuart (10/5): Little Gem in Gumbet - Fabulous gem just about 5/7 mins to the nightlife of Gumbet. Pool was fantastic, no issue chasing Sunbeds. Continental Breakfast was always enough to set you up for day. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and always on hand if you needed anything. The best bit was that most days we had the pool to ourselves so was a real chilled out break. Would definitely stay again.
• MANAL iphone (6/5): Good service poor conditions - Stay at the hotel was good but our bathroom was very small. Soaps and other necessary products were in bad quality .old and small Towels and poor breakfast. Service , cleaning and stuff were great in the other hand.

Pretty retro furniture and small but clean bathroom. You are allowed to bring your own food and drink in to the premises and the pool side. Money for value property

• UKTravelGalinCali (6/5): Basic. Very Clean. A little disappointed with rooms & breakfast. - This hotel is very clean & run by a lovely family. English is VERY limited. Pool area looks lovely & modern, but the bed & bathrooms are VERY basic & dated. Lobby is a very disappointing area. Lots of steps. No lift. Nice air conditioner. Very little room to put clothes away. Fridge in room. Kettle for tea. Breakfast was extremely disappointing - a few fruits & veg, olives, a few cheeses & 1 meat. Cereals & breads. Tea & coffee. 8:30-10:30 daily. Most mornings when I got there the plates were empty. See photos. You can walk down the hill to the beach (we were not impressed with the beach & restaurants in this area -all of them looked very dingy & dirty) You can walk the other way from the hotel into town which is a max 10 min walk & find a few shops & great restaurants there. We noticed alot of the restaurants would sweep & keep clean their particular frontage (thankfully) which motivated us to want to eat there. One restaurant in particular we saw doing that was Casablanca. Delicious Food & great service & super clean. Sadly we were very disappointed with Bodrum - as there’s a lot of rubbish/trash on the streets & on vacant areas. Compared only to Fethiye & Antalya which we had only previously been we were always very impressed with how super clean the streets we experienced there. Location of this hotel is pretty good although it is down a lane, so hotel may be a bit hard to find initially. (No surprise the lane has trash all down it - If this were the only access to my hotel I’d be outside cleaning it all up). We got to thinking perhaps it’s the lack of love & care for their beautiful surroundings that Bodrum is obviously on a decline… Fethiye was packed out this time last summer we were so surprised at how empty the restaurants were here in Bodrum in mid summer. These restaurant, shop & hotel owners surely must realise most people don’t want to be around rubbish & filth.

• Günes (10/5): - Schönes Hotel mit Pool . Mitarbeiter sehr höflich und behilflich. Frühstück war ausreichend. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Sehr zentral gelegen man gelangt sehr schnell zu Feier Szene aber dennoch bekommt man es im Hotel nur ganz leicht mit was die Lautstärke angeht. Liegt praktisch direkt am Stand sind ca.3-4 Minuten . Der Strand ist leider privat und von gehört zu den anderen Hotels man kann fragen dann ist alles möglich dort schwimmen zugehen. Ich kann es empfehlen und werde nochmals dort Buchen.
• Eric (10/5): Superb 3 night stay - Me and my 14 year old son stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel perfect for us. Rooms are basic, but spotless. Balcony great with views over the pool and sea. The breakfast was fine for us, fresh bread, natural yoghurt, AMAZING honey, nutella, jams etc. There were eggs and salad too, and tea, coffee, juice, water etc. The outside space is lovely, pool was perfect, clean sunbeds, an honesty bar...we saw speakers, but there was no music playing, which would have been nice, but then some enjoy the quiet. The best thing about this hotel was the personal touch. It is small, run by a family, who are there all the time. They sorted out a safe issue within 5 minutes, and ordered taxis for us, which seemed to arrive instantly!! Great location, 2 min to the beach, where we took advantage of the watersports, run by one of the family. Our activity was priced at 450TL, but we paid 300TL as we were guests of Gunay! Also less than 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. All in all, a great little hotel with a personal touch.

FYI The beach is not the greatest (not theirs and u need to pay for umbrella and long chairs) Up & coming area with bars/clubs/ resto. The owning family is amazing

• Anna (10/5): Great view, clean and conveniently located hotel. - I came specifically for the view and definitely was not dissapointed. Small (I've counted 12 rooms) hotel with a homely feel to it. Basic, but very clean rooms. Helpfull staff, good wifi, 2 min walk to the nearest beach, no problem with finding a place at the pool to chill, bus stop for Bodroum practically around the corner. Great place for young people as the clubs/bars/restaurants street is only 5-7 min walk and convenient for those going to bed early as the noise from the music is not reaching the hotel. All in all - recommended.

Breakfast is one boiled egg plus cheese bread tomato cucumber jam, but omelette is extra. Turkish coffee is good. Bed is average in comfort Beach is 200 easy walk down, one of best beaches in Gymbelt. Laundry service can be provided for 50 tl a bag. This is 3 stories hotel without elevator. C U AROUND

Their room, terraces, hallways, breakfast room and every where are so clean and look so lovely with white marble floor. My husband and me enjoyed the sea view of the hotel so much. • Niyazi (10/5): - Bisiklet yarışı için geldiğimiz Bodrum da daha önce konaklama yapmamıştım. Bu ilk oldu. Günay hotel sayesinde güzel düşüncelerle ayrıldım. Otele gece 23 sıralarında ulaştım. Otel sahibi beyfendi önce bize bisikletlerimizi koyacağımız bir alan gösterdi. Bunun ardından odaları gezdirdi. Ertesi gün yarış için kayda gittiğimde belgeleri otelde unutmuştum ve fotokopi de çektirmem gerekiyordu. Bodrumda fotokopici bulmanın bu kadar zor olduğunu düşünmemiştim. Sağolsun fotokopileri de çekti kendi makinasında. Yarış günü ise start saati erken olduğu için otelden sabah 07:30 da çıkmamız gerekiyordu ama kahvaltı saati 08:30 da başlıyordu haliyle. Bizde beyfendiye sabah erken kahvaltı yapıp yapamayacağımızı sorduk. Sağolsun sabah 7 de bize kahvaltıyı hazırlamıştı. Bunun ardından yarıştan döndüğümüzde çıkış saatimizin geçmiş olacağını ve kaldığımız oda da duş alıp alamayacağımızı sorduk. 2 oda tuttuğumuz için birini boşaltıp birini eşyalarımızı koymak için ve duş almak için kullanabileceğimizi söyledi. Bunun dışında odalar rahattı, deniz manzarası güzeldi, klimalar etkin çalışıyordu. Konfor konusunda sıkıntı yaşamadık. Gerçekten çalışanlar ve otel sahibi beyfendi cana yakın insanlardı hep yardımcı olmaya çalıştılar. Hepsine çok teşekkürler.
• del45122 (10/5): Perfect - Stayed here for 2 weeks, lovely family run hotel, lovely family that can’t do enough for you. Rooms are spotless. We had a balcony the sea view was amazing hotel is 200 metres from the beach if you turn left out of the hotel. Here you will find water sports .. boat trip is a must ..really good value for money. 10 minute walk to bar street, nice clean pool,would definitely stay here again.

• keacflood (10/5): Fabulous little hotel - What a lovely little hotel this is. The family who run it are lovely and it is constantly being cleaned. Fab little pool with the comfiest sunbeds ever. Dont really do breakfast but the couple of times we had it it was great. Turkish breakfast very fresh. Most rooms have a sea view and its lovely to sit on your balcony in an evening. 2 mins to the beach where you can use the facilities at Gumbet Cove, which also does a delicious evening meal overlooking the sea. Would defo come back here.

• Ruaire (10/5): Little oasis of calm in a popular area - We were really glad we stayed at Gun-Ay hotel rather than some of the larger hotels nearby, it was perfect for what we needed. It's a lovely small family-run place in a quiet side street, but still a couple minutes walk to the action (bars, shops, beaches). It had everything we needed - simple but comfy & clean rooms, chilled out pool area and bar, gorgeous fresh breakfasts (cold meats/cheeses, salads, breads, cereals), and friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Bodrum!

Harita üzerinde gümbetin biraz dışında bile gözükse de gümbet içinde her yere yürüme mesafesinde. Barlar sokağına yakın ama dibinde olmadığından gece klüplerinin gürültüsü gelmiyor.

The pool area was very clean and comfortable. It is just a short walk to the beach and Gumbet town .We liked it so much we extended our stay from 7 to 10 days . The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and seaview. We will definitely stay there again if we go to Gumbet and would highly recommend it,

Just back feom two weeks it felt like having our own villa as the two weeks we were there we had the pool area to ourselves as it has only 18 rooms most guests went the short walk to the beach. But would reccomend the Gunay hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday.

• hanalouiseg (10/5): Love this cute hotel!!! - We stayed for a week and absolutely loved this hotel. It is very quiet and chilled with gorgeous views of the sea and the mountains. It is literally a couple of minutes walk from the beach, the shops, bars, restaurants and taxi rank. The family that run it cannot do enough for or you and speak good English, they have books for you to read while sitting by the pool which gets the sun all day. The rooms are clean, safe and comfortable. The hotel provide a taxi service to/from the airport and have their own boat for day trips. Breakfast is great with lots of choice. We loved our stay here and we’re surprised with tea and cake by the pool on our last day.

• dutchkay (10/5): The “Little Gem” of Gumbet!! - This resort is totally amazing!! If you are looking for a totally relaxed hotel, where nothing is too much trouble. Then this is the place for you. From the moment you arrive til the time you leave, the personal touch is constant. It’s like having your own little holiday villa. With approx 12/14 rooms even when full you feel as though you have your own little holiday hideaway. The staff are truly a credit to the hotel. Hussein and his mother , (the hotel owners) I cannot praise enough. 💕They will ensure your stay is one to remember. It’s like returning to my Turkish family. The hotel is immaculate, constantly being cleaned. The pool area is a sun trap with a fabulous pool with massage facility!! Try it and guaranteed to lose your bikini!! 😂 Rooms again spotlessly clean with daily attention. With everything that you need for your stay. I don’t want to shout too loudly have fantastic the Gun ay Hotel is!! Purely for selfish reasons, it’s our Turkish holiday paradise. When you have freshly baked cakes or savouries, along with afternoon Turkish tea around the pool. Which weren’t ordrered , but a fabulous touch from Momma. You feel totally spoilt, and so appreciative! I just need the recipe. Counting the weeks til our next trip. Hussein runs amazing water sports, a stones throw away. Where we can highly recommend the boat trips!! See Eddie he will highlight everything you shouldn’t miss out in!!We try to do at least one per stay.Great value and a great way to see further afield. • stevehW8649TI (10/5): Excellent Hotel - This is the second year we have been to this fabulous hotel, it just keeps getting better, great food great rooms and a family run business that just makes you feel you are part of the family. The owner and son are so accommodating for any of your needs and nothing is to much trouble to make sure you have a great time. • steve (10/5): Very nice hotel - Very clean and friendly hotel only two minutes walk from an amazing beach full of restaurants and warm seas. 5 mins walk in the opposite direcrion is town centre with all the ameneties you would expect shops restaurants supermarkets pubs clubs - a variety of nightlight for all and yet when in the hotel you cant here any noise at all - very peaceful. Liked it so much we extended our 4 day stay to 7
• stevehW8649TI (10/5): Excellent family run hotel - This hotel is an excellent retreat in the Gumbet area, family run and so very clean and modern with an excellent pool, great breakfast and a excellent beach with water sports within 2 minutes. The lady who runs the hotel, also the family grandmother is so very helpful, it's like having your own grandmother with you on holiday. The rooms are first class and very clean. We stayed here after 10 years all inclusive in a nearby hotel, we would always stay here moving forward because of the personal touch and family feel. We love it, Turkey and this hotel is such a beautiful safe please, we love it,see you all in September Steve and Kay (travellers to Turkey for over 25 years)
• fenal (8/5): Clean and calm hotel with nice pool - Visited 2 weeks in September 2015. All 12 rooms have balconys with view over poolarea and sea plus surroundings.(3 rooms in "basement" don't live there) Pretty nice relaxing view in the evening. The hotel is situated a bit up so you can see far from your balcony !Rooms are kept clean and fresch with daily cleaning. Smaller fridgde but its a hotel so no cooking facilities. Turkish breakfast buffe is included in price and I liked it. The hotel staff is mostly family and they are nice and not pushy and willing to help you if you have questions. You can eat simpler lunch or dinner by pool and all is fresh and at good/normal priced. The little bar is not so funny but you can buy water, soft drinks, beer and wine. Don't take a drink there because they are NO bartenders ;) They take good care of the hotel with renovation, cleaning and fixing all the various plants. There is wi-fi .Really this hotel is a little gem in Gumbet. Its not expensive to live here and I think you get more than you pay for - comparing to other hotels in the area. The sister hotel is more expensive but not as nice.Just 3 min walk from beach and near "bar street" with supermarkets and smaller touristshops - a lot of hazzle there uuuhh - too much for me. Suits younger or ...tacky style people more (no offence). Gumbet in all is not my favourite place because too noisy but some parts are ok and some restaurasts for ex Peters Place are awesome. I don't think I will return to this part of Turkey but if you travel here Gun-ay is a hotel to consider absolutely. It got hi rates from travel angencys and so also.
• Haylz2407 (10/5): A perfect little hidden gem of a hotel ! - We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and will return year after year. I have stayed in many hotels in Bodrum area but found this little gem of a hotel accidentally and haven't looked back, it's the best ! I can't fault this simple comfortable quiet bed and breakfast. The price is excellent for a very comfortable hotel. Ok where to start, the hotel is just a short ride from airport about 20 mins. It's a small hotel with just 20 rooms which are all overlooking the sea, lovely glass balconys. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The pool area is fantastic with the most comfortable sunloungers I've ever used. The pool is gorgeous and again cleaned every eve. The breakfast is your basic continental but a good choice and fresh, the owners are fantastic, all staff are great. The menu at pool bar is very good too and good prices., the beach is just a short walk away . This hotel is a great relaxing peaceful little getaway. Don't hesitate - if you want small and friendly at a good price then book it. Free wifi also.
• zarahsreviews (10/5): Lovely little gem of a hotel! - Okay, so technically there are probably a few material things missing for Gün-Ay to be five star but you know what? It doesn't matter. The EXPERIENCE of staying here is five star without a doubt! First of all: the staff is absolutely fantastic! Always happy, always eager to help (and I mean ALWAYS. We had a problem at four am. The night clerk was sleeping but jumped right up to help, and without any signs of being annoyed at being awoken - or even sleepy. Like I said: fantastic people!). We had two early mornings and got a breakfast packet one day, and were actually spoiled to a served breakfast the other time. So sweet! The rooms are comfortable, if not gigantic, and offer enough storage for two people for two weeks, no problem (we do travel light, but still) and the balconies all face the pool and the sea. There's a wire with hanger clips at the balcony for drying clothes, and you have plenty of room to sit down and relax - but not enough to stretch out unless you take out the furniture - but that's what the pool beds are for. :) It's a gorgeous location and one of the only places I've ever visited where the photos from the travel agencies actually match the reality. It really is that pretty! The breakfast is good. Lots of things to choose from. Yoghurt, some toppings, several kinds of bread, a coffee machine (cappuccino if you don't like the "süt lu nescafe" - instant coffee with milk), tea, a kind of sweet but rather nice juice, olives, feta chese, regular cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, melon, eggs, and also jams and honey and butter and that kind of things and so on, We missed breakfast one morning and bought one in town. Not close to as good as the one at Gün-Ay so get the breakfast, for sure. The pool is kept very clean and nice and is 1,5 metres deep (a small section is 40 centimetres, for kids), there's a bubble jet in one corner and the water's up to the edge and very nice and warm in september. By the pool there are plenty of pool beds and also a snack bar. (You can also use the facilities at Gümbet Cove and I highly recommend their barbecue. It was a very nice evening with available tables for two or four, romantic lighting and soft music. Not the rowdy party I was fearing at all, but quite a five star night. Fantastic food and a great belly dancer, on top of super attentive waiters.) Gün-Ay çok seviorum! Teşekkür ederim & görüşürüs!
• milesaheadSweden (8/5): Little gem in Gumbet - Only 20 rooms, but with a nice pool and poolbar this hotel is worth the money. Run by very service minded staff and recently refurbished. The only downhill is the lack of trees (why not 3 palms?) around the poolarea and a "rocky" pillow. I definitly recommend this hotel to anyone who want a decent an quiet stay with excellent service. Many steps from the lobby up to your room keeps you fit.
