lucia_guti (7/5): Gorgeous hotel, great location, bad breakfast. - The Nomadic is beautiful - very thoughtfully designed with plenty of surprising details - it was a visual feast. Our room was spacious and had an outdoor terrace. One thing that stood out (which is rarely done well in beach hotels) is that there were plenty of hooks around the room and in the veranda to hang clothes, wet bathing suits, etc. Little details like "coins" for leaving tips for the cleaning staff if you don't have cash, which are then added to your bill, were great! And there are two outdoor showers at the entrance to wash off beach sand. The lounge beds around the pool were super comfortable and had good shade. The location is also excellent, an easy 5-minute walk from Giones beach. There is a walking path right next to the Nomadic that takes you to the other side of Guiones, a beautiful path full of tree shade that is sponsored by the hotel - great initiative. We barely had to use our car while we were there because everything was within walking distance. When I contacted them via this platform about an AC that wasn't working and, later, an object we thought we'd lost in our room, I got fast, good responses. They offer free yoga classes (I didn't take any, but the yoga room looked great) and they have an honour bar if you want a drink after hours. Food is not the Nomadic's strength. The breakfast is strangely bad for such a beautiful and pricey hotel. I was surprised by the mini portions, strange things like just 1 mini plantain in the "typical" breakfast (unheard of in Costa Rica, I'm a local, you always get at least 3), mini portion of fruits that did not include yoghurt (I was told I'd have to pay extra for yoghurt and granola), and no black tea - I was charged extra for a tea! You also didn't have a choice; it was whatever was on the menu, and it was just not good. Having stayed in comparable hotels that offer delicious, generous breakfasts with a variety of food choices and drinks, I found this disappointing. I ended up having to go for second breakfast around town on most days I was there. On their website, they described "a tempting selection of smoothies, juices, coffee, tea, poolside bites, sweet treats, specialty cocktails, wines, and beers", and I was really looking forward to that, but when I went to order from their big drinks menu (think matcha with collagen sort of thing) they didn't have half the things on the menu, and there was no food to speak of.

Laura (9/5): Perfection - I loved my stay at the Nomadic & ended up extending it from 2 nights to 5. I’d have stayed longer if I wasn’t a backpacker on a budget & would absolutely come back. I stayed in the dorm & it was so clean & felt nothing like being in a dorm really (granted there were only ever 2-3 of us in there). The breakfasts were delicious every day, the pool and surrounds were gorgeous & I loved the daily yoga classes. Lots of places in the hotel to sit and relax, my personal fave being the rope canopies & the hanging chairs. So peaceful. It was a little pricey but this is Nosara, one of if not the most expensive place in Costa Rica. It’s like that for a reason, it’s divine & restful.

Collignon (8/5): Très joli petit hôtel décoré avec goût qui se fond dans la vibe surf and chill de nosara - Très joli petit hôtel bien placé à 3mn à pieds de la playa Guiones à nosara, l’hôtel est calme au milieu de la végétation les chambres sont de tailles correctes peut être un peu sombres, (surtout en saison des pluie), tres joliment décorées. Lit ok , Seuls bémols mais liés a l’endroit évidemment, peu de pression dans la douche et la chasse d’eau 🥱. Le tout petit restaurant /café de l’hôtel est très agréable Ah si ils ne prêtent pas de parasol , Si je dois trouver quelque chose je dirais la salle de bain et le fait qu’ils ne sont pas très généreux en serviettes de toilette même si on sait que c’est un endroit où l’on fait attention à la nature

Ashleigh (8/5): Expensive dorm room but so worth it!! - What a beautiful spot! The dorm rooms are spacious and comfortable and I met some great people. The pool area is very beautiful, the yoga shala and classes are great, the breakfasts were amazing, the staff were helpful! Not having a fridge to store food is very challenging and alot of things I came to the dorm with went bad :( Also some issues with tech like double charging payments and then not receiving a full refund (could be a currency exchange issue) and there was a hassle with linking Booking.com to my payments but we figured it out in the end.

Stefanova (10/5): Heaven on Earth - This is one of the few places around the world that really exceeded my expectations. There's something about the place itself, its architecture and design, its staff, its menu that cannot be described - everything is just so special and it attracts special guests as well. After a few days there, some of the other guests and I, we, felt like a family. There is a free yoga class every day, bikes available for free to all guests, a place to keep your surfboard, etc. The bunk beds were super clear and beautiful, including the toilets. The swimming pool is super clean and it doesn't contain chlorine, which is great for everybody.

Le petit déjeuner est différent tous les jours. Pour aller à la plage avec la chaleur , nous prenions un tuktuk. C’est très facile, il y en a partout dans Nosara . Un petit sentier dans la végétation vous mène à une zone commerçante où vous trouverez tout. Très bon séjour .

Vanwege laagseizoen waren er weinig snacks. Dat was jammer.

The room is cozy and very comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing for an evening swim. Breakfasts were healthy and satisfying. The coffee was perfect! Also within walking distance of the beach, shops, and many wonderful places to eat. We didn’t move our car once we had parked and enjoyed everything about the area.

Catarina (10/5): Exceptional - The service was amazing, staff makes you feel part of the family! The overall hotel is great! They have yoga classes daily in a super quiet area where you can rest and read. The pool is amazing and even in the sharing bedrooms you have your own privacy! I will definitely repeat nomadic when and if I am back in Nosara :) Everything was positive but it would be great if there would be a kitchen as many ‘sharing bedroom’ hotels have. Or ability to have a small fridge like in the private room. Is really hot in Costa Rica and it’s hard to keep things in the fridge. Anyway when I needed they fixed :) small details

It is extraordinary and so relaxing. Also it is very good located. Well it is expensive but worth it if you balance it with cheaper dorms in the following days.

Laurie (10/5): - I would absolutely stay at The Nomadic again. The location is great for both beach and restaurants. The ambiance is boutique chill. I loved the layout with most rooms having front porches facing the pool and also a private back patio. There are several cozy areas to play games or read. Breakfast was good- they served just one option but it did vary by day. One yoga class was included per day and I enjoyed all except the breath work (not my thing so I don’t do it). One day they ran out of coffee before 9am which should never happen in a hotel. They provide pool towels but don’t want guests taking them to the beach. This is my one suggestions- get other towels that can go to beach like the quick dry ones they sell in gift shop (for $50!).
Carlos (10/5): Amazing experience! - Amazing experience! The location is perfect, and the facilities are spotless and beautifully designed. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, especially Mariela, who truly made my stay exceptional, all the people who work there are unique thanks to Anthony , Levi, Silvi y Julia , kim , Cristel and Saúl. As a suggestion, I’d recommend adding a bit more music in common areas to enhance the ambiance and offering more yoga or animal flow classes at the hotel. Overall, an outstanding stay—I can’t wait to come back!

Paula (10/5): Would stay here 10 times over - The hospitality provided by the staff was exceptional. The food and drinks provided are carefully sourced by the locals and you can literally taste the magic of Nosara. We were greeted by Anthony on our first day and wow, his warmth radiates with his energy. Everyone was super helpful and provided suggestions on where to eat and drinks! You have to try their cocktail Caribbean Painkiller at their bar! It’s absolutely refreshing and a must near their beautiful pool!
Paula (10/5): Spiritually Uplifting for the Soul - The breakfast menu changes daily and is quite delicious! Locally sourced ingredients with a touch of spiritual glam. The Nomadic offers yoga daily on the property. It’s outside but shaded. The sense of tranquility and peace is overwhelmingly beautiful. Regardless of what level of a Yogi you are, the instructors took their time with you on all levels.

Brendan (10/5): Awesome relaxing much needed vacation. - We loved our stay at the Nomadic. Super friendly staff and owners. We loved the location, it was right in the center of the everything we love. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend staying there. Maybe Saul the Gardner sweeping the leaves early. It didn’t bother me and my wife but it drove my teenagers nuts🤣🤣
Brenan (10/5): Honeymoon vibes in a hipster paradise close to the beach. - The atmosphere and decor of this hotel is bougie in the most pleasing way; I carved out time just to lounge in their sunken hammocks and swim in the stunning pool. The complimentary yoga and breakfast are both outstanding and make this hotel truly part of the vacation. The staff is friendly and worked hard to make my stay memorable, including helping me book activities and find dinner spots. The prices in all of Costa Rica are high, so while the hotel is at market price for the area, it’s very expensive, as are the drinks and toiletries available for purchase. I stayed in the bunk room and it was comfortable, but I was the only one there for all but one night which made its value even better. It seems like it would be a bit cozy when it’s full during high season, though the more reasonable cost may be worth it still - there are plenty of beautiful areas in the hotel to lounge other than the sleeping area.

The rooms are lovely, the garden/grounds are impeccably well taken care of, and the staff (including the owners) were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious (as was their special brand of organic Costa Rican coffee) and the coconut marg was a hit. It is an easy walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. We will be booking again.

Cara (10/5): One of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. - The hotel is absolutely beautiful - has that perfect balance of laidback yet elevated. The staff are truly extraordinary. They are all so kind and helpful and just the loveliest people. The free breakfast is unbelievable!!! Nothing like the typical free hotel breakfast. This is made fresh from scratch and it’s something different everyday. It’s honestly shocking that it’s free! And the yoga classes are fantastic and they are free too!!! If you find yourself wanting to leave the hotel which is difficult because it so beautiful and relaxing, it is only a 5minute walk along a path through the jungle to the beach, restaurants and shops. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. N/a
IlanBass (10/5): Great atmosphere and phenomenal staff - We stayed 4 nights here and by the end of our trip were hugging the staff goodbye…we were treated like family. Also due to the intimate setting of the hotel we got to know other guests staying at the hotel which was a super fun experience. Thank you to Israel, Anthony, Levi, Synthia, and everyone else including the cleaning staff and night security. Was a one of a kind experience and as a side note we got so lucky with the weather during our stay - they helped us make reservations for dinner / plan logistics. Looking forward to staying there again soon!
benn988 (10/5): Highly Recommend to Anyone Visiting Nosara - The hotel has a an intimate and boutique vibe. It's extremely well decorated, the food is delicious and the service is top notch. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, and the entire team was always there to answer any questions or assist in any way they can. Credit to Israel, Anthony and the entire staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Credit to Lauren, the in-house yoga instructor for great classes. I highly recommend this hotel for any family, couple, or friends retreat to Nosara.

Amazing staff, especially the manager Izrael who was extremely helpful and friendly, providing lots of information! We were even upgraded to a better room for the same price :-) The walls a bit thin, sometimes could hear the neighbors but nothing disturbing! It’s a quiet property.

hollybC9117CD (2/5): Terrible. Run. - Horrible hotel. I felt like I was in college staying in the dorm. The rooms are so tiny. The bathroom is practically nonexistent. They won’t give you any towels. They won’t let you take the towels to the beach if they do give you a towel. The manager acted like I was lying when I told her that our room had not been made up, the swimming pool is tiny and dirty. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Gilded iguana, which is beautiful with huge spacious rooms and great food. On the plus side, the bar was very nice and the bartenders were also very nice

Emilee (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful - It was a very clean property, the staff cleaned the rooms and facilities every single day keeping the property in amazing shape. The staff were all so unbelievably kind and helpful. Very relaxing and quiet stay with a couple of minutes walk from the beach and other shops. The mattress was a little firm for my liking but I still slept great.
