Guest Reviews
- Jeff (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. Pricing seemed a bit high for this market but perhaps due to no comparable competition.
- Drexell (9/5): -
- Mary (10/5): Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were really nice … we will definitely be coming back again. - Property was very nice and clean .
- E5718LKkevink (10/5): Cleaner than clean! - I think I have reviewed this property before. It is exceptional for a 2-star hotel. My wife had a project she was working on in the room. She wore white socks while walking around from desk to bed and back for a couple of hours. She took the socks off and they were still bright, clean white.
I have been in clean hotels, but this is remarkable! Kudos to great management and careful housekeeping staff!
- Sheekar (10/5): Amazing place - This place went beyond my expectations. Not only was the place spotless, but the staff were amazing. I booked this place last minute since everything in Lava Hot Springs was sold out and was a little hesitant about it being 20 minutes away but after looking at the shady lodgings in Lava Hot Springs and the exuberant prices, I was very glad that I decided to stay here. It's a nice drive, during the day, but be aware of the police who like to follow you (very closely) looking for any excuse to give you a ticket as you near town. We were welcomed with a delicious scent of coffee and fresh made cookies; Marriott needs to learn a thing or two from these guys. The ladies at the front desk were awesome, so nice, especially Kyra who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The rooms are average size, and they have a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave oven. The beds were comfortable and I loved the pillows, just the right amount of firmness. The rooms were quiet except for the people stomping around upstairs, but we weren't disturbed at all. I love that they have laundry facility, which came in handy when we wanted to wash our towels and bathing suits for the next day at Lava. They also offer free breakfast, and this was not just a continental breakfast. It includes eggs, sausage, juices, cereal, biscuits and gravy. and you could even make waffles. I was so impressed and definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to go back.
- 462loraw (10/5): Best room and crew for years of hotel/motel stays! - Kyra and her crew are unbeatable! Helpful, compassionate and so friendly. The friend I was traveling with had a stomach bug and Kyra brought mint tea down for us! Above and beyond any service anywhere. So thoughtful! Room was immaculate, breakfast was wonderful!
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Sharee (9/5): - The staff was super friendly! Find were very clean. The only thing was that the bed was a little too firm for us.
- Dorothy (9/5): -
- G1281QBkathyb (10/5): Very nice - Very clean. Room was nice. The beds were very comfortable!!! Easy check-in and checkout. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!! Will book again
- William (7/5): - Breakfast Location
- 763richa (8/5): Pricey - Very clean and well kept. Just a bit to pricey compared to other hotels of like quality. Large towels, good coffee and no elevator.
- horacioh524 (8/5): Comfy beds - Clean room & Comfortable beds and the front desk was very helpful and polite. Good breakfast . I would definitely stay there again. Oh can’t forget the free chocolate chip cookies 🍪 😋. Short distance from the cobblestone inn is octagon springs park with a historic natural small geyser that cold carbonated water comes out from the ground. Very cool .
- Cynthia (8/5): - Great breakfast
- Catherine (10/5): - This was a breath of fresh air in the middle-priced world of hotels. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and a good breakfast (plus coffee in the lobby at all times). Granted, it's relatively new, but if they maintain it properly, it will always be a gem! 10/10 recommend.
- Robin (8/5): Nice hotel but don’t stay here on Sunday. - The hotel was very nice with a decent breakfast. However we stayed in Soda Springs on a Sunday and there was nowhere to eat except a Subway. Even the grocery store was closed.
So I can recommend this hotel as it was the bright spot of our stay, but if you’re staying overnight in this area on a Sunday then stay in Lava Hot Springs instead.
- Wendell (10/5): - Breakfast options were good. Clean newer hotel.
No elevator.
- Sandra (8/5): - This is the 1st time we got a room in the back in all our visits. The rooms in the front are certainly noisy with the big trucks rolling thru town. We did enjoy the quiet in the back.
The bed is too high for a 5'2" person to get in without the fear of falling back on the floor during the process of 'crawling up there'... :)
I realize this hotel caters to the construction people in Soda. My cousin said he stayed at a Cobblestone in Utah and it was $100/night with all the same facilities.
I was raised in Soda and love to visit. I share much of the above from my family that visits and have now chosen to stay at the JR.
One more thing... Why doesn't this Cobblestone install an elevator??? We can not possibly go up those stairs (did it ONCE years ago). They charge enough to pay for two elevators at each end. Just a thought.
I do want to mention that Jesse was the best person working at Cobblestone in years. She was very kind at all times. She should be recognized for her good work.
- 631bb (10/5): Clean, pleasant experience - We always need an accessible room. This one was excellent with an easy-to-use shower. The soap/shampoo/etc were pleasant without being overwhelming. At breakfast, the waffles and biscuits & gravy were delicious.
I love my morning coffee. The coffee was great and the machine was simple.
Don’t know if we’ll be back this way on our travels, but if we are this is where we'll stay.
- William (10/5): - Great breakfast, welcoming staff. 10/10.
- Mo (8/5): - Hospitality and convenience. Lovely ranch view.
- Robert (10/5): Glad I Booked - Great facility in a small town! Exceeded my expectations. We had a very relaxing night’s sleep after visiting the lava hot springs.
- Wander34897732262 (10/5): Best place to stay in Soda Springs, Idaho - Customer service outstanding. Clean beautiful room, and perfect small lounge area for all of us to hang out together. Highly recommend.
- kurta564 (10/5): Best place to stay!! - The afternoon woman with the English accent is absolutely wonderful. She treats us so well every time we stay there. We love her!!!
- Belinda (7/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): - There was not any restaurants there.
- Noel R (10/5): - Clean and comfy
- Michael (8/5): - The only issue we had with this hotel is the lack of an elevator. That wouldn't even be allowed in most other states.
- Julia (10/5): - Spacious, almost luxurious room for the price. I had a lovely view of a green field with cows. Located near highways and a gas station. Not a lot of dining options but about what you would expect from a small agricultural town in Idaho. There's a park a few miles away with a running creek and bridge.
- yuanyuan (10/5): will stay in the same brand in the future because of this experience. - very clean and neat though it is not fancy! Cayley much!
- Madelyn (10/5): - Nice clean hotel with a good breakfast. No elevator but they were able to move me to a 1st floor room.
- Sheryl (10/5): Amazing view, friendly and helpful staff, will definitely return - The view from the room was amazing. The coffee was very good, breakfast was satisfying for a family with young children. There was nothing I didn’t like
- Christopher (8/5): - Oddly nice hotel for this town. Seems specifically built to house traveling executives for the mine in town, but it was still a perfectly good stay.
- David (6/5): -
- Getaway50243643716 (10/5): Always stay here when in town - The best place to stay in Soda Springs or the surrounding area. The breakfast is hot and plentiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Microwaves in the room and laundry down the hall if you need it.
- Glen (10/5): - Great Lake views clean rooms great staff! Great breakfast and coffee!
- Go40171324474 (10/5): Great place! Its my go to in Soda Springs. - The staff are super friendly and efficient. The rooms are super clean and the breakfast is very good! They had Ham, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and so on!
- svastara (10/5): Nice and quiet rooms. - The pillows are nice and fluffy, clean rooms, great value. Great breakfast omelets with ham, sausage and cheese options. All I'm all would come again when I'm the area.
- Jack (10/5): - Clean. Quiet. View of river and lake from our room. Best eggs and sausage we had on our trip.
- 908tracir (10/5): Clean! Clean! Clean! - So darling and needed for a small town like this. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean. I came for a family reunion, and it was just what we needed.
- W6469ZHmarieb (10/5): Great place to stay while on family road trip - Everywhere in the hotel was clean and comfortable; it was a great place to stay while traveling from the national parks back to Idaho. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options for everyone. Would stay again.
- Norbyg (10/5): A Good Place to Stay. - The rooms are well kept, fresh, staff is very friendly, they have breakfast and it is OK, little varity, and the bar in the evening helps the people kick back
- davidkE9604XU (6/5): Nothing special - Friendly staff, clean room, strong shower pressure, bit of a musty smell in building. First floor windows need sheer privacy curtain.
- saris995 (10/5): Great experience - Very nice and comfortable beds. Was a nice all around stay. Would go back again and recommend. Breakfast was also pretty good.
- Richard (10/5): - Great hotel, good food and bar
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great overnight stay - We were only here a short time as on overnight stop on our journey. Nice location slightly outside the main town, with a nice view of the river. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and had a good choice of food. Fantastic shower! Easy to control temperature and pressure unlike some hotels. My only criticism would be that outside our room window was a floodlight that they use to light up the outside of the building at night, which illuminated the surroundings of the curtain mimicking daylight all night long so we didn’t have a completely dark room.
- Cathy (6/5): - I stay every year but honestly if there was any other decent motel i would not stay at cobblestone. The money hold on my card is rediculious and unnecessary and theres always a person or two who are rude.the rates are somewhat high in comparison but you dont really have a choice.it is clean and easy to get.to.
- Shannon (10/5): - We have stayed here several times. And we have enjoyed every one of our stays. The breakfast are awesome. The grounds all around are very clean. And it’s very pet friendly.
- Miranda (10/5): - I liked that it was clean.
- Vivian (10/5): - Nice staff and clean
- Pamela (10/5): - One of a very few places to stay in Soda Springs, but really a nice property. There are very few places to get breakfast in town so it’s nice to have free breakfast and a spot to sit and visit with family.
- paris048 (10/5): Soda Springs family reunion - All staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice to have a breakfast room since there are no other options in Soda Springs. We stay every year. They are also pet friendly. The property is clean and well maintained. No elevator, but be sure to ask for 2nd floor with a view of the lake.
- Jeffery (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fred (10/5): - First time visit to this property. Convenient location for travelers, very dog friendly, room cleanliness and amenities (bed especially) were spectacular. I especially liked the coffee making device and Seattle‘s best coffee assortment.
- J2077SScindyc (4/5): It was ok. - Need to have an elevator. We had a lot of baggage for our conference and had to make many trips up and down the stairs.
A restaurant is needed onsite or arrangements with caterers, food trucks, restaurant delivery or something.
Most of the front desk personnel were find, but there was one that was pretty curt with guests.
- Kevin (10/5): - There was a misunderstanding at check-in, mostly mine. Staff corrected it and I received a followup call from management to make sure all was OK.
You'll NEVER find a cleaner hotel than this one. Breakfast was excellent; the baking powder biscuits this morning were blue ribbon, just great. Beds are awesome, bath products are really nice, the fridge is cold and the freezer freezes (not some of both like you find sometimes). The heat and A/C are easy to set and regulate (how many hotels are you either freezing or sweating in, no middle ground? Not here!).
- Vivian (10/5): - Very comfortable room.
- Sandra (8/5): - Clean and comfortable stay. Friendly staff.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ray M (8/5): - My ewife was having surgery at the Caribou Medical Center which was only 2 blocks away. Far and away the best hotel in Soda!
Breakfast was somewhat limited.
- P9837NVgabrielleb (10/5): Slept like a baby! - Excellent customer service from the moment I arrived to check in. Front desk associates (and other associates) were friendly and accommodating. Room was perfect...clean, great bedding, roomy & coffee/tea maker in the room. Breakfast was great, as well. Huge variety from fruit to hot choices, muffins, juice & more.
- Melissa (10/5): Pleasant experience - Looking for a pet friendly hotel in close proximity to lava hot springs. This hotel is a quick 15 minute drive from the hot springs. Beautiful little town, lots of wildlife. We will be back!!!
- Casie (9/5): Superb - The water pressure sucked but other then that it was a very nice stay
- Z6492QDkellyc (10/5): Spotless rooms! - Plenty of parking & dog friendly! Very nice room, comfortable bed, with great pillows, it was spotless. Morning breakfast had some choices, hot & cold, with a staff that was eager to refill the coffee! Friendly staff at check in, answered all my questions.
- E5718LKkevink (8/5): Nice but pricey - Room was VERY nice as always. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of mud in the parking lot, probably fell off construction customers trucks. Price was substantially higher than our last stay 4 weeks ago, about $45 more than the Fairfield in Afton, WY,...we may go there next time because of the cost difference.
- tiffanyc117 (10/5): Family visit - Very nice place to stay. Felt very welcoming. The only complaint I have is low lighting. My mom has macular degeneration, and room was pretty dim. It was hard for her to see a lot of things at times.Other than that, it was pretty much perfect!!!
- Nathan (10/5): - It was super quiet, everyone was friendly.
- Pit Master (8/5): - Beds weren't great.
- Jana (8/5): - A little overpriced
- Shannon (10/5): - We have stayed here 4 times and really enjoy it. A complementary breakfast is awesome. And the staff is very friendly. One thing we wish they had was a nice chair in the room to sit on. The little office chair is not real comfy to watch TV in.
- F1842IEbryanm (10/5): Surprisingly impressed! - Great presentation, extremely clean, friendly staff, and modern. Very impressed. I was not expecting a hotel service to rival that of some of the bigger cities, but if you like the comforts and modernity of solid 3 star level hotels, Cobblestone is punching above it's weight class.
- Rochelle (10/5): Comfortable stay. - Clean, warm and comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
- travis (10/5): - It is very luxurious
- Jeffrey (8/5): - called and asked about roll away bed before I booked the room for three guys. When we got there, we were informed they dont have any nor have they ever. Very upset we had to figure it out.
- 724meeshas (10/5): This place checks all the boxes ✅ ✅ ✅ - Clean, smells good, comfy beds, great water pressure, well-stocked breakfast, beautiful views, and exceptional customer service. A special thank you to Kristen and Jade who were both so helpful and friendly. You made our stay delightful!
- James (10/5): - Convenient
- annaI4880XB (8/5): Good option in Soda - Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. They had some plugs on their light poles that you could charge an EV, if you bring the appropriate cords to connect to your vehicle. 110 output only. I wouldn't call it luxurious, but it was really good. I would stay again.
- Amber (10/5): - Small town not a lot of food options but the hotel was great!
- Whitney (10/5): Exceptional -
- richard (8/5): - Close to hunting
- richard (8/5): - None
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- RUDY (10/5): - Good accommodations and great service
- SoCalKaren (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Good bed and the shower head was great--definitely not a water-saver! Maybe the town of Soda Springs has excess water. (You've got to check out the bubbling spring at Hooper Park nearby.) Bring a clip to pull the curtains together at night...they have bright lights in the parking lot. The woman who checked me in could have been friendlier, but maybe she was having a bad day. The morning crew were all good.
- marksZ1179WP (10/5): It was great. - Two people really helped me out. I wasn’t planning on having to stay the night away from home. Lindsy Marsha’s helped me out that night and Kristin Ballew took extra time with me in the morning. These two girls are great. Don’t let them get away from you.
- MaryMartha (10/5): - Clean and quiet.
- Julie (8/5): - Only spent one night here, it was fine. Breakfast was okay.
- seanhH3151AN (8/5): Nice place for a one night stay. Does the Job - The Inn was very courteous and helpful, we arrived around 8-9pm. The room was clean & accommodating for two people. Beds, clean. Pillows, soft (4per bed).
However, we have to take a point for the shower & lack of PROPER pressure. It was very hard to rinse of soap & shampoo. Considering the room cost, unacceptable. Q-Inn & Suites has better pressure.
Continental Breakfast was limited, again unacceptable. Q-Inn buffet much better.
To leave on a good note, the morning at 8am was very beautiful outside. Nice valley scenery with low lying mountain.
I would recommend.
Solid 4 of 5 stars, no more till 2 minor details are resolved.
- Aaron (10/5): Perfect - Coffee was great, staff was friendly Nothing was great
- barbbX6047DK (10/5): Great Stay! - Wonderful hotel. The front desk girl (didn't get her name) was amazing. So friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and so was the lounge. Would stay again if in the area. Cute town!
- Stephanie (7/5): Good -
- Cody (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jannite (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert C (8/5): - Nice facility. Having to carry bags up steps to the elevator was unnecessary. Poor design. Nice staff.
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Shirley (8/5): - Breakfast variety is good though I find the scrambled egg salty.
- Rick (8/5): - Property was clean and staff very polite
- Gundi (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (10/5): - Nice relaxing quiet hotel.
