It took away from the appearance especially when you first arrived. We have no doubt it will be a five-star rating when that construction is done. The attention to detail is amazing!

The rooms are beautiful and spotless, there is a delicious breakfast and probably the nicest and most accommodating host I have ever had. Nothing, this place is perfect.

Robert (10/5): - We pick this place for a weekend getaway and couldn't have picked better. It's location is excellent, right next to the entrance to white face mountain and there are several places to eat and shop a short walk away. Above all else, the staff was fabulous. This is a place that is being rejuvenated and has more of a bed and breakfast than a motel feel. Someone was always there or nearby to answer questions and deal with any needs you might have. The room itself was a good size very clean and comfortable and the bed was superb. We absolutely would go back there again.

The shower head spray was to spread apart it took too long to get the shampoo out of hair. The shower floor is beautiful but it hurts your feet cause it feels like rocks!

They are in the process of renovating another section of the lodge currently but this had no impact on our stay. Nice, quiet community close to many of the sights we wanted to see in the Lake Placid area.

Stephanie (10/5): A memorable getaway in the ADK - We had an amazing stay at Adirondack Spruce Lodge! From check-in, Keith, the manager, made us feel truly welcomed. His warm personality and thoughtful attention to guests made the whole experience stand out. Almost every evening, weather permitting, he had a fire going outside, which became a highlight—bringing people together to relax, connect, and enjoy stargazing in the beautiful Adirondacks. Keith went above and beyond in every way, from sharing great local recommendations to ensuring the lodge felt inviting. His welcoming presence is a big reason guests want to return year after year. The lodge itself was just as advertised—our room was clean, comfortable, and matched the photos exactly. Having a grill onsite was super convenient, and being able to cook, then sit by the fire under the stars, made for such memorable evenings. We can’t recommend Adirondack Spruce Lodge enough. Thanks to Keith’s hospitality and the cozy atmosphere, we look forward to coming back!

The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). A fantastic choice for convenience and excellent service!

Location of the lodge is also great, hiking is just around the corner or literally just behind the lodge. Then there are the owners who are just an incredible couple, very welcoming, very warm and with great suggestions of what to do in the area. We loved the room, the cleanliness of it, the fact that it was literally sound proof and we couldn't here our next door neighbors. Overall, everything was just perfect!!! We can't thing of anything we didn't like!

DEAN (6/5): - The place was just a very expensive motel. The people who run it were lovely. Breakfast was a nice continental buffet. BUT the room was very small, bathroom was extremely small. And the AIR CONDITIONING machine dates to the middle ages. The AC was so noisy and unpleasant my husband and I hardly slept a wink. We couldn't even figure out how to turn it OFF. It was too unprivate to open windows. And there are dark red drapes that need to be closed if you want any kind of privacy. There's no good view anyway. And the room cost $400 !!! Definitely NOT a good value. I hate to give these people a bad review because they were so nice. But they can't charge those prices.
