- Jens (2/5): Very disappointing - and we overpaid - The beaches, cities and food. Big garden was nice 1. No live contact with the host. 2. He requested an upfront payment for pellets (7 bags with 8EUR each for a week + 40EUR for additional wood) to heat, suggested way too much (how should a guest know how much is needed? Why is no pay-what-you-took model used?), and noticed later (only after returning home) that we actually had paid wood already via booking.com; hence, we wasted 80EUR (paid 96 EUR but consumed only 2 bags) 3. The hot water supply is shared between both parts of the house, and is not suited to the number of people. On day one, gas was even, hence no hot water, and no reply from the host. Fortunately, the neighbors did reach him and switched the gas, still: with 5+9 people, hot water was basically always empty, and we had to skip the shower more than once. 4. Very dirty appartment with lots of dead insects. 5. Thin walls to the neighbors, who ended up making noise well past midnight. This kept up our kids quite long, no good for relaxing vacations... 6. Very cold, and since we had no idea whether to take wood for the chimney or pellets we made the wrong choice and got pellets, which only heated the kitchen, but none of the rooms 7. Very narrow road on raw soil and stones. Luckily, our car did not take away scratches, but a bigger one for sure would have had
