Guest Reviews
- Liz (10/5): - Beautiful room, decor, very dog friendly. Great breakfast and amazing location close to everything. I was quite noisy during the early morning with goods being unloaded outside each night. Rolling barrels off and on.
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect place for a break - Great value spacious room fab location Nothing

- emma (6/5): - Nothing exceptional breakfast just ok for price paid Bathroom in need of replacing. Shower poor and shabby windows badly in need of double glazing. For what we paid for a supposedly superior double room pretty small and down at heel.
- Jason (6/5): - The room and bed were great I had booked a table for dinner each night of my stay, the first nights dinner there were problems, my server didn't engage with she seemed to be " going through the motions " my meal was the problem, I ordered soup and it took 25 minutes to bring the soup, bearing in mind that it wasn't busy there were only two other tables and one was nearly finished as I came into the restaurant. The next issue was with the main course, I ordered the chicken Kiev special at £16 and it wasn't edible I took one bite then had to leave the rest, it was rock hard and very overcooked and dry I struggled to cut it, inside there was absolutely no butter or any detectable garlic (it's supposed to be chicken Kiev remember!) just a suggestion of some parsley. There was hardly any mashed potato to speak of and the veg, I like my veg to have a slight bite to them, but, the veg was basically raw. The creamy mustard sauce had no detectable mustard either. For a bill that came to £25 I expected a lot better, so as a result of that I cancelled my remaining table bookings for dinner and ate elsewhere, my other issue was the next day the person that served me the night before, I noticed some unsafe and bad hygiene practices, she petted a customer's dog and gave it a treat from her hand twice without then going to wash her hands and she's busy serving food and drinks to unsuspecting customers! I feel that this issue really must be raised in the interest of customer health and safety.

- Alice (9/5): Perfect place to stay in Keswick. - Really central location. Lovely staff and the breakfast was beautiful. Nothing
- Wilko (8/5): Perfecte plek in Keswick om te overnachten. - Lekker midden in het centrum. Heerlijke uitvalsbasis. Niets
- Andrew (9/5): - Great location, lovely room 👌 Poached eggs were hard not runny
- Josephine (8/5): -
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Joanne (8/5): - Central location and nice room decor and furnishings Poor shower pressure
- Peter (10/5): I would stay there again without question. - From the moment we arrived we felt welcome the reception (Lorna) booked us in with no trouble, was exceptionally helpful throughout are stay, the breakfast choices were balanced and plentiful, we did not book for the evening meals in the restaurant, but the staff were helpful in every way. The stairs to the rooms, but as it is an old property then this has to be accepted.
- Laura (9/5): -
- Andy (10/5): Excellent service - I booked this for my Granddaughter and partner and they loved the place. The staff were really nice and were very welcoming. A little pricey, but because the service was so good we'll forget that.
- Margaret (7/5): -
- ian (10/5): Brilliant place, lovely pint of Guinness! Nice rooms and breakfast was lovely. Very accommodating for dogs too. Would hi - It was lovely, and a good breakfast, nice room and well accommodated for dogs My only dislike but wasn’t really anything was, cleaning while having breakfast. And having to pay for a cappuccino at breakfast, feel like it should come under “coffee”
- Critchley (7/5): - Getting too expensive , £40 for the dog for 2 nights, £24 for parking. Overpricing them selves. Very noisy at night due to darts over the street.
- Cheal (10/5): - Lovely rooms bar ..food was excellent. Breakfast menu and quality was exceptional. Location was right in the market square
- Ben (7/5): -
- Carl (10/5): -
- Emma (8/5): - Great staff . great location It wasnt the hotels fault but we had a room at the front amd up til about midnight there was lots of people talking loudly at the pizza place next door. then at 4am they started setting up the market stalls on the main street which was very noisy too
then from 6.30am room doors started to be slammed in rhe hotel. it didn't make for a good night's sleep. I would stay again but maybe ask for a room at the back
- Geoff (8/5): Enjoyable, & good food - Location & Staff Nothing
- Murray (7/5): -
- Campbell (10/5): Overall a lovely stay we love Keswick - Location was good On our last day the only breakfast table set for us to sit at was right near the reception, so people were checking out over my shoulder whilst eating , we did move all the cutlery to a near by table , I wouldn’t set that table for breakfast it’s too busy
- Samantha (8/5): Spot on breakfast. Decent pub accommodation. - Great location on the Main Street. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Rooms and clean but small. Good breakfast. Noisy as others have said. Take ear plugs. Very small rooms. Basic bathrooms.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Zoe (7/5): A solid 7/10 - Good central location & v friendly staff, also v dog friendly Bathroom was pretty basic & bedroom was on the small side. Food quite basic for price.
- Emma (9/5): - Delicious breakfast
- Keith (9/5): Very good - Everhthing6 Improve shower rate
- Janet (10/5): -
- Ena (8/5): We have never met so many really nice people, all staff went out of there way to make our stay brill - Breakfast brilliant, unfortunately I surmised their would be a lift our room was on the top floor and being 80 I had some difficulties and again didn't ask at reception for a possible change because hotel being small appear full, the location again was brilliant As I've said before the stairs were a problem, evening meal menu not a good selection so ate out more.
- Graham (8/5): Great place to stay right in the centre clean and comfortable - Great location Nothing really
Although noisy on market days but not hotel’s fault
- Alexander Ross (10/5): - Everything.
- Katie (10/5): We will be back! - Great location, lovely food. All round great stay
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Sacha (9/5): - Great location, lovely room. Towels were large, which was a bonus, but one had a large washed in stain on it and one had a dead bug on it.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Sue (10/5): Perfectly located in the centre of charming Keswick - Breakfast was superb served in the restaurant. We also dined on Monday evening with a group of 16 friends and the restaurant was very accommodating Room 9 was at the top of the stairs & if we stayed again we would ask for a lower floor
- Bob (8/5): Fabulous part of the world. Definitely will be back soon. - Everything was spot on :- accommodation , food , selection of beers, staff, and location. Couldn't fault it. The weather, but unfortunately that was out of your control.
- Nigel (8/5): -
- Angela (10/5): - Everything was just perfect for a 2 night break Nothing
- Grobs (7/5): Great location - Location, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast wasn't great.
- Steve (7/5): Great location, buy some bedrooms close to a lively bar so not very quiet. - Central location. Great staff, polite, friendly. Couldn’t get the shower hot.
Breakfast items were cold.
Room was at the rear of building next to courtyard, so loud music of the bar next door meant we couldn’t sleep till that bar closed for the night.
- david (5/5): No sleep - Good location Room was small but the noise outside until 3am was horrible, the room needs triple glazing.
- robert (10/5): - We liked the clean and stylish rooms. Great location and excellent staff. Nothing we experienced was disliked. the only slight imperfection was the sink basin was rather low.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Stylish room.
- Dennis (9/5): -
- Heather (6/5): We enjoyed being away from home. - All the food was for good quality and the evening meal was exceptional, on both nights. We thought there was a poor selection of beers, and no price list to indicate the price of any of the drinks. Toilet roll holder needed to be more secure, and not easy to ventilate the bathroom, we didn't like having to walk down three steps to the bathroom, especially thought the night.
- Andrea (8/5): - Beautiful location in centre of village. Food is excellent and staff are very pleasant.
- Steve (9/5): -
- Howard (10/5): Great stay - Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean room. Comfy bed. Great breakfast. Exceeded expectations. Nothing
- Jacqueline (8/5): -

- Anthony (9/5): - Location the staff were lovely and catered for everything a very friendly place Nothing all was good
- Alice (8/5): Fantasies location - Great location, lovely room, dog friendly No blind on bathroom window. Dog friendly room but on the top floor, would have been easier to have a lower room

- Gill (8/5): Enjoyable - Location and staff Small room
- Victoria (8/5): - Comfortable and clean. Very central. Breakfast.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Martin (8/5): Welcoming comfortable pub rooms on High Street. Convenient and warm welcome. - Warm, cosy setting Breakfast was a bit slow as extra customers in bar, slowed down service for residents.
- Andrew (7/5): Excellent place. - Location excellent bar area and food very good Beer and a glass wine £16.80 which is very over priced
- Carl (10/5): Fantastic staff, very comfortable room, great menu, all good if you can get over cost of dog to stay. - Great location, lovely room, good menu, lovely food and beer, dog well looked after and staff were exceptional. All fantastic if you can get over the cost of your dog to stay Get the price for letting dog stay before booking as is excessive.

- Janice (10/5): - Very good
- Terry (9/5): The stay was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and obliging. - Very well located We found access to our top floor room difficult as the stairs were steep and there wasn’t a lift.
- Paul (1/5): Terrible, miserable very expensive. poor value for money - Good breakfast constant noise from machinery / extractor fans 24 hours a day, impossible to get any sleep.
I will not be going back
- SUSAN (8/5): Pleasant stay in a clean, friendly hotel with delicious breakfasts. Will say again. - Location was perfect for the proximity of what we wanted to do.
Staff very friendly & accommodating.
Breakfasts were lovely - a good variety, well prepared, hot & fresh.
Our room was small but were able to enjoy the use of the small room next door to play card games with our family (also residents). we stayed in room 1 and it was very small, we struggled to get past the bottom of our bed & nowhere to put our cases. We had other family members in room 4, which was much nicer & more like we expected.
- Maxine (10/5): Beautiful hidden gem with amazing staff - This hotel is an overlooked gem of a find. The decor is beautiful and the staff so friendly
