Guest Reviews
- Shari (10/5): Rainforest magic and we will definitely be back! - So quiet and peaceful with no noise in the area, close to Kuranda Village and the house was nice and clean and had everything we needed! Nothing comes to mind, everything was great
- Gillian (10/5): We would definitely stay at Honeybee Cottage again if we return to the area..hopefully we will !! - being amongst beautiful rainforrest and gardens was a delight
we enjoyed staying out of Kuranda, about 10 minutes by car in such a peaceful location.
Every comfort was available for our stay I did find the open shower tended to wet most of the bathroom floor which is an issue for me in my 70's
I worried about slipping, but my daughter loved it
- Rosie (10/5): A very comfortable accommodation - Tranquil Nothing
- Linda (9/5): We would definitely recommend and return! - No breakfast as we had a kitchen not a B and B.
It was an amazing locale and the facilities were top notch. So cute we could have stayed forever! Ants were anticipated as we saw a spray can in preparation when we arrived. As long as we sprayed regularly we were able to keep them in check.
The “fully equipped kitchen” does need a few updates as the pots and pans with a baked on finish were worn from wear and the barbecue surface was rusted and not looking as clean as we expected. A few casserole pieces for baking were not usable. We managed fine and cooked most of our meals in the “cottage” and were delighted with the variety and cost of eating out locally.
- Mark (10/5): Great value relaxing stay. - What a tranquil location! Nestled in native rainforest, with wallabies visiting each evening. A twilight walk revealed frogs, flying fox and lovely gardens. Property is an, tidy and cosy, well stocked.

- Gilchrist (10/5): The Honeybee House - It was delightful. Gorgeous forest and garden setting. The house was filled with light with lovely views from every window. Fabulous slow combustion fireplace kept us warm at night during the cold snap. We had everything we needed and everything was sparkling clean. We will definitely book the Honeybee next time we're in Kuranda. Not one thing. No complaints at all.

- Lisa (8/5): Great place to stay. Highly recommended! - The house was easy to find using Google Maps. In a quiet, safe area with wildlife around such as catbirds and cute little wallabies (not tame). Well appointed home with some extras in the kitchen like salt/pepper, some sauces and cling wrap. Beds were comfy. Great temps inside and out during our stay. Good useable kitchen. Toilet in one room and shower and sink in another was very practical. We enjoyed our stime there.
