Guest Reviews
- Richard (9/5): Hever Greyhound is an excellent place to stay with a kind hostess and fine amenities. - Our host and hostess were great. The breakfasts were excellent and the room was very nice. The location was great, especially if you came to tour Hever Castle. The only problem we encountered was the weak WIFI signal in the room.
- Gary (10/5): Visit to Hever Castle - We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and showed us to our room which was very clean, spacious and comfortable.
The location was perfect as it was so close to Hever Castle and the delicious cooked breakfast kept us going for the day.
Would highly recommend it. Nothing
- Gary (10/5): Outstanding stay - The host and breakfast was outstanding the facilities were outstanding Nothing
- Nomad-YOW (9/5): Delightful country B&B - Very quiet location in the country. The breakfast was superb, with lots of choice. The bathroom was modern and the overall decor was tasteful.
Caroline is a delightful hostess and made us feel very welcome. One minor thing: the curtains did not close completely to block the early morning light, due to the sheer curtain in the middle. We held the heavier curtains together in the middle with clothespins, which we always bring with us for this purpose when travelling.
- Jane (10/5): Very comfortable and relaxing. Food excellent. - Excellent amenities, friendly owners. In a lovely quiet area, pretty garden. Food was delicious. Maybe a small packet of biscuits on arrival. A chance to purchase drinks once checked in. Maybe some tissues in room.
- stuart (9/5): - Lovely surroundings. Nice and clean.
- Tracy (8/5): Pleasant and met expectations -
- Amanda (9/5): -
- Kim (9/5): Lovely short stay with an excellent location .Friendly staff.great breakfast - Perfect location , lovely breakfast and friendly helpful Team .Great garden balcony room Shower not very hot
- Lilian (10/5): Lovely people only stayed one night but made very welcome - Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation breakfast excellent definitely stay here again if in the area Without a car pretty much isolated
- Helen (10/5): Wonderful place to stay with exceptionally friendly welcoming owners - Wonderfully friendly owners.
Delicious food both in the evening and breakfast.
Lovely quiet location.
Very easy access to Hever Castle.
Stylish decor. Not so keen on sliding bathroom door as not very private!
Would have liked a bottle of water in room.

- John (5/5): Over priced and underwhelming - Caroline was chatty and friendly. The closeness to Hever Castle and Gardens. The cameras everywhere. The downstairs room we had looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com and toiletries were lacking. My dinner, costing 44 GBP or $AU85, which and to be ordered 48 hours in advance, was the worst food I have encountered in two weeks in the UK. The lambs’ kidneys were whole, with the sinews attached, and were under cooked. The mustard sauce was vile, but the brioche was edible. The Steak and Mushroom Suet Pudding had an indiscernible bitter taste and the pastry was soggy. I can’t believe some reviews extolling the virtues of this business,
- Wilkes (10/5): An absolute delight, definitely recommend staying here! - Lovely host, location of the Greyhound was idyllic, beautifully decorated, great breakfast, peaceful and great pubs! Nothing
- Geoffrey (10/5): - Caroline was very welcoming and our breakfast was excellent. Lovely location and room was very comfortable.
- Caroline (9/5): Nice accommodation that was clean and comfortable. - Lovely spacious room, very friendly host who tried hard to make us feel welcome. N/A
- Louise (9/5): Wonderful, I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet nights stay. - Caroline the Host was lovely and the accommodation was very nice. Easy to find. The breakfast was wonderful.
- Sarah (10/5): Superb comfortable accomodation. - The property was immaculate. The garden room was very comfortable, superb shower and access to a gorgeous garden. Brilliant white towels & bed linen.
The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and a very friendly, welcoming host. Would 100% recommend and a 5 minute driver to Hever Castle. No fault at all. It was perfect.
- Katy (10/5): - Warm and friendly owners, the location is wonderful; quiet and walking distance to Hever castle and a pub. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious! I really can't criticise this place. If anything, I'd prefer a firmer mattress, but that's personal preference. The bed was more thb big enough and well appointed.
- Kate (10/5): -
- david (9/5): -
- John (10/5): Can’t recommend highly enough - Everything, staff very welcoming ,rooms and rest of building to a high standard, breakfast exceptional, fantastic value for money Nothing
- Susan (9/5): Relaxing overnight stAy - Balcony in room was lovely.
Tranquil setting. Nothing.
- Donaghy (9/5): - Superb hosts, friendly and very helpful. Lovely breakfast. Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): Hope to be back here soon - Fantastic welcome from the moment the door opened, room clean, well laid out, good shower, lovely view of the garden, great to have restaurant recommendations, breakfast was phenomenal Occasional airplane overhead, not overly noisy but I wasn’t expecting it as I was in a tiny village in the country
- Adriana (10/5): Perfect - We only had breakfast and it was really good, top rating. everything was perfect, the only thing I struggled with is the Invoice that I forgot to ask while I was there, and even sending a few emails never got it.
- Alan (10/5): - Great B&B close to Hever castle, excellent breakfast and evening meal. Nothing really
- Julie (9/5): Beautiful place to stay with excellent food. - The property is beautiful and the room was lovely. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the garden.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good. Would highly recommend this property.
- Douglas (9/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Excellent bed and breakfast with restaurant but no bar, friendly and clean - Very friendly welcome and service. Lovely breakfast, good choice, good products. Clean room. Very quiet. Ample parking. Convenient for visiting Hever and lots of National Trust locations in Kent. Excellent pub Henry VIII nearby. We missed having a bar or lounge area to meet with our friends for pre or post dinner drinks and perhaps to play cards. We didn't eat in the restaurant partly because we didn't fancy having to pre order 48 hours beforehand and also no facility for a pre or post dinner drink etc
- Anne (10/5): Great stay - Very accommodating. Had to go elsewhere for food in evening...however not a problem
- Helen (9/5): - We had a very comfortable stay, room large and beautifully decorated. The host was very welcoming and couldn't of done enough for us. The cooked breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again Bed a bit low
- Anna-lisa (10/5): Very friendly and comfortable - Lovely b&b very clean and friendly Nothing
- Lee (10/5): Cosy Stay in a Beautiful part of Kent! - Absolutely loved the stay here! The room was great cosy and comfortable bed, great shower and nice views of the garden from our room. We did have dinner the first night and it was amazing! Decorations of the Greyhound were beautiful and the owners were super friendly. Breakfast had so many choices and was a great start to our day. I really cannot think of anything negative as our stay was perfect.
- Rosie (8/5): Perfect location for near bye attractions and wonderfully quiet. - Wonderful breakfast and a great host - what more can I say! Being nit picking, if there had been a mini fridge for fresh milk and some bottled water in the room then I would have given a 9 score.
- Brendan (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great location to explore local monuments. - Great location, staff were excellent, we had a few hiccups as to what time we would be able to check in, but they were so understanding and accommodating. Nothing could have been better, and its hard to think of anything that could be improved.
- Peter (8/5): V good stay - V good cooked breakfast. Could have been a bit hotter
- Paul (9/5): - A really lovely place to stay, will stay again 100%
- Andrew (10/5): Lovey stay with friendly hosts - Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely Nothing
- Clive (10/5): Great stop over. - Room very clean & comfortable. Breakfast excellent and all served with a smile. Very well looked after. Just personal preference bed a little on soft side.
- Huseyin (10/5): Perfect - Very friendly & accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at the Greyhound. They allowed early check which was super helpful giving the wedding we had to attend at Hever castle. Great location! We actually missed the breakfast time slot but was kindly offered breakfast after checking out. Unfortunately we had to drive home so politely declined but the offer was appreciated! The place is quirky & very clean. Parking on site was also a bonus. Thank you. We would stay again & would highly recommend to others :)
- Kez (9/5): Beautiful location and a brilliant host! - Absolutely beautiful place to stay, very clean. The location is quiet and relaxing. Great for anyone visiting Hever Castle, as it's down the road. More of a heads up - If you don't opt for the on site restaurant or decide you don't want to leave the premises to get food either - then it's difficult to get a takeaway due to it's location.
- Dale (10/5): Very comfortable - Great, very helpful! Nothing to mention.
- Brian (10/5): Friendly and helpful hosts in.peaceful surroundings gave an enjoyable stay - Breakfast and evening meals were excellent.our room had garden view with table and chairs outside. It was very near Hever Castle so we walked there Nothing. All good
- Neil (10/5): - Brilliant thanks. Nothing
- Luke (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful property with excellent hosts who can't do enough for you - Hosts excellent, lovely comfortable clean room. Could have done with an additional shower gel and also additional flat surface (ie lose the luggage rack and replace with dressing table or lose the round tea/coffee station and replace with normal table with wider area to make the tea).
- Linda (8/5): -
- Crittenden (10/5): - Great location... prompt response when I telephoned to say our arrival would be delayed and when we arrived our room was a beautiful ground floor room which was warm and cozy on arrival. The bathroom was immaculate and the bed very comfortable. So quiet!
The dining room was richly decorated for Christmas and the breakfast was delicious. Service was outstanding!

- Sue (8/5): -
- Golsby (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): We enjoyed our stay, an would stay again. - Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and had what we needed. Would have liked the breakfast to have mushrooms, but it was still a nice breakfast, and nicely presented. Would have liked a cheaper choice for dinner.

- DIANE (9/5): Wonderful! We enjoyed every minute. - Beautiful situation in Kentish countryside. Lovely room. Amazing food. Very good hosts. Bed - unfortunately think it needs a new mattress? Maybe more supportive as well as comfortable.

- Geoffrey (9/5): We enjoyed our stay at the Greyhound, it is rather isolated so you would definitely need transport. - The owners were very friendly and helpful, very clean throughout rooms were large with a lovely ensuite Balcony overlooking the garden and the breakfast was excellent F For me. Personally the beds were too low and the mattress uncomfortable., TV was rather small and the dining room was rather dark. For families children under seven are not welcome.

Our host was very accommodating, as for our room we was so amazed by it's decor we now want to have our own home designed in the same way. The breakfast was very well presented and hit the spot full marks 5 star. We will definitely come here again and recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet and tranquil retreat. Nothing
