• Daniel (8/5): Good location, seems to get very busy and a bit noisy. - This was a nice find, close enough to where we needed to be, easily reachable as it is right next to the freeway. The free breakfast was a perk, but the breakfast area was pretty crowded and the choices were a bit limited. We received a room right next to the pool area. It was loud during the daytime (which we accepted, since we left soon after for a dinner reception). However, before 7 am the background music came on and we didn't like to be woken by this "alarm clock".

• MAbelini (10/5): Convenient location, clean and pleasant hotel, lovely pool area - My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn, room 142 for two nights (Sunday and Monday over a holiday weekend). We were very pleased with our stay. There were two large groups at the hotel at this time and even though they were gathered in the pool area, they dispersed by 10:00 pm when the pool closes and from then on it was a peaceful evening. Before then, it was busy but didn't disturb us. The grounds has a large lobby/seating area for relaxing. One end of this area doubles as the dining room for the complimentary breakfast. There is also a couple of computers in the business center, a laundry, ice machines and entrance to the pool/hot tub/outdoor seating on the first floor. The outdoor area is lovely, with a pool, a hot tub with a waterfall feature and a gas fireplace feature with comfy seating. Our room was on the first floor. It overlooked a section of the outdoor pool space. We had two queen beds, a TV, refrigerator, and bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had lots of counter space, a sink, toilet and bathtub. This location has easy access to the highway and good choices for dining nearby. Everything was clean and well maintained. We thought we got excellent value for the price we paid and would definitely stay again.

• Molly (8/5): Hampton Inn was a lovely hotel, with warm staff and a great location. - Breakfast was lovely and the bathroom was nice. The location is great for the price to be near the beach. I also appreciated a washer and dryer on site. There was just older wall paper that had water stains and carpets that needed to be vacuumed. The staff was lovely, but I feel there could be some upgrades that would make quite a difference. Like hardwood floors in the bedroom

Gym, computers and printer, pool. Older facility with tasteful upgrades. The place has been updated in important ways, but the in room HVAC system and the television service are lagging. The room fan/heating/cooling unit was slightly noisy and constantly on with no way to turn off. The room TV had very limited DTV/cable channels, mostly sports, and no smart features or streaming services capabilities.

• RoadWrangler (8/5): Good choice! - Located close to the highway, this was a good choice. Check-in was easy by the friendly staff. The hotel has two lifts, one of which seemed slower than the other, both rather tattered inside, unfortunately. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and had nightstands with power outlets on both side--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside. There was a mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom had a large shower (only). The shower water pressure was great! The bathroom sink water never got hot, unfortunately. There was ample counter space, and it was nice to see plenty of towels. The WiFi was strong. The hotel has lots of free, open-air parking. I would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

• Ernest (10/5): - The lobby staff and breakfast attendants were thoughtful and very helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The rooms were always cleaned by the maids, clean towels provided daily, beds made and they never knocked on the door if the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was hanging on the door. A definite plus for me! Overall, an excellent stay!

• krystale (8/5): - I always go for a hotel with a pool and if there's a hot tub, even better! The Hampton Inn and Suites Mission Viejo delivered, and I got my fix. Also the breakfast provided each day is always a plus. As for the hotel room, it was quite nice! Very spacious with a separate living room, kitchenette, and bed. The bed was not so comfortable. The pillows were firm and nice for sitting up, but not so much during slumber. There was a screw on the floor, which could have been bad, but I found it before one of us stepped on it. There was a nice restaurant next door, a nice dive bar and convenient store as well. And perfect for a short walk before bed. The only real bummer was that they did not allow us to have extended checkout because we weren't members of the honors program. They didn't do much to promote the program, but it was pretty demeaning for them to just say "sorry you're not a member, we can't allow it."
• Robert (10/5): Stayed after Wedding at Arroyo Gold Club - Close proximity to Arroyo golf club. Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice pool view, and decent breakfast with hot food served. Staff were not particularly friendly, but decent. Check-in was easy, checkout even easier. I’d stay again.

It appears that if you book through a third-party, like Booking.com, rooms are assigned that are difficult to sell. For example. Rooms that have no view or handicap rooms. We were assigned a handicap room with a small window. The clerk that checked us in let it slip saying: Oh! You booked through a third party."

Had a terrible nights sleep there. The location is good and the staff were fine. Breakfast was OK, but I was so tired from the lack of sleep my attitude was diminished to a degree.

Sorry the jacuzzi and pool were not open , though they looked very clean. Day and night staff were very helpful. And the bed was very comfortable.
