Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Viking mega-yacht in downtown Boston? Ridiculous!! - I travel 300+ nights a year. Rarely do i either step out of the box and do something unusual and unique. I simply don't have time in my busy schedule to engage in larks and frolics or risk a good known experience for the chance of a unique and extraordinary one. The risk I take by leaving this review is that my undiscovered gem becomes discovered and I now have a hard time on a re-book. Troca One deserves this critique more than my selfish desire to keep this to myself. If you are a high end traveler and want a unique experience which is singularly positive, where you can enjoy all the benefits of a mega-yacht and walk to work in downtown Boston, where you leave feeling as though you stole a mini-vacation, this is for you. Stay no-where else. Cancel your dinner plans and order a pizza or call ahead and have food ready for you- you will not want to leave! It was the best 'hotel' experience I have had in years. 5 star accommodations and staff, and a mega-yacht to myself in downtown Boston! Ridiculous!!!!! There is but one small critique, you need to be either patient or wily to enter the locked gate to the marina. The staff needs to work this out and greet you at the gate to walk you to the yacht. Call in advance and tell them to meet you at a time certain. Other than that, it is perfect. Literally, I cancelled my dinner reservation and went to the nearby store and got some food and brought it back because you would be crazy to want to leave this Viking yacht. PERFECT STAY!
- MARK (10/5): Luxurious yacht on Boston harbour overlooking all - I booked this stay as a last minute surprise for my wife's birthday . We totally enjoyed it and you are treated like a VIP guest from the moment you arrive to the time you have to leave . Capt Dan and stewardess Oriana were amazing and nothing was too much trouble . We even met one of the owners one night. The concept is new and is an extension of a hotel already in Boston. The yacht is being moved next month back to Miami for the winter.
On arrival there is a small car park on the Northside of long wharf close to the security entrance (behind the Chart House bar) where you can offload bags but you have to park in the harbour garage which is USD38/night which is standard for Boston. The views from the yacht are breathtaking overlooking all the action of the very busy harbour and a 5 min walk from shops and restaurants. Fabulous stay one of the best we've ever done. Will be back for more. Thoroughly recommended.
- Adam (10/5): Best getaway on the Boston waterfront - The whole stay and experience was 5 stars! Staff was friendly, rooms clean and service was world class.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff very pleasant and attentive. Need better instructions/directions as to accessing the marina/boat slip to board boat.
- Lois (10/5): LOVE TROCA ONE!! - My husband and I had no plans for the 4th of July so we decided to inquire on Hotels.com about a last minute hotel deal. The Troca One yacht came up as an option and at a price that was on the high end of what we were willing to spend for a last-minute deal. We decided to be adventurous and go for it. What a pleasant surprise! We were greeted with the most friendly crew, Captain Daniel and Stewardess Hannah, with a glass of champagne and a tour of the 105 foot yacht! The state room was large with a king bed and very nice size bath (shower stall). We sat on the upper deck watching all that was happening on Boston Harbor. The location, Long Wharf, was just a 10 minute walk to the North End where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. In the morning, there was plenty of coffee and we were provided with a yogurt parfait, fresh fruit and pastries. This last minute excursion into the city proved to be our most enjoyable and memorable night ever spent in Boston and we are hopeful to be able to do it again this summer.
