- Catherine (10/5): - The visit was so much more than I could have anticipated. A luxurious stay with exceptional food alongside an historical walk through pre and post civil war era artifacts and stories. The stay was topped off with a classical piano performance. Mr. Stone provides an exceptional experience. I'm definitely visiting again!
- Stacy (10/5): It was a much needed trip that went above our expectations. Joe is an amazing host! - The owner was so nice and the property was amazing Nothing
- Jeremy (10/5): Incredible stay at an incredible property - Loved the ambience of the property filled with art and fine, historic furnishings. The breakfast was exquisite and Joe (and his dog, Precious), were most hospitable. We enjoyed the manicured yard and his recommendations for Natchez. It's clear he loves his family property and is committed to keeping it in amazing condition. Our beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed having the privacy of the guest house. Communication through booking.com has been a problem. It would be helpful if the host had our cell phone and email in order to contact us in advance with instructions for checkin.
- Troy (10/5): Our stay was quiet, very clean, cozy, beautiful surroundings. Mr. Joe exceeded our every need. - The breakfast was delicious. Mr. Joe really out did himself. Our room was very clean and cozy and well decorated with old historical charm. Many beautiful paintings. Our little cottage was well decorated with lots of love and care. Mr. Joe's home was gorgeous inside and out. And can't forget little Miss Precious (Mr. Joe's tiny dog), who greeted us at the door when we arrived and greeted us at the door each morning. Her name fits her to a tee. We will be back. Can't think of anything he could have done to make it better. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

- Patricia (10/5): It’s a unique experience, more than an accomodation - It’s like living inside an antique museum. The house and each piece of furniture had a story. The host, Joe, is multi-talented. He excels as a host, a renovator, a top-notch musician, an antique collector and an impressive breakfast chief! We enjoyed chatting to him very much. - Robert (10/5): A genuine, traditional B&B hospitality experience. - In the age of ubiquitous tech-platform vacation rentals, which have their useful place, nothing can beat the increasingly rare, top-tier, genuine, traditional Bed & Breakfast for true hospitality and sense of place. The well-traveled and savvy will appreciate what this gracious, interesting owner and true host, rooted for generations in the history of the culture of Natchez, will add to their visit. Absolutely the highlight of our trip, enchanting both a 63-year-old dad and 16-year-old son with art, history, humor, and social grace. Don't miss it.

The host, Joseph Stone, is extremely knowledgeable of Natchez history, antiques, music, art and so much more. The home itself has a very interesting history and many unique architectural features. The cottage is perfect with an extremely comfortable bed and plenty of space. The ground are lovely. And we can't say enough about the absolutely delicious local flare breakfast that was served. We can't wait to return to this B&B.
- John (10/5): - The Stone House Cottage was rich in history; we loved the paintings and antiques around the house and in the guest house. The owner, Joe Stone, gave us a tour of the house and pointed out all the places to see in Natchez. We got off to a great start each day with a good heathy breakfast he fixed and served in the big vintage dining room!
The positives about the Stone House go on and on, we felt at home and it made our visit to Natchez a wonderful and memorable time!
Thank you Joe !!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is beautiful, and the cottage is perfectly designed for a cozy, comfortable experience. If I had to describe my weekend with one word, it would be "serene." Mr. Stone, the proprietor, is the real difference here. I am sure any B and B in area can give a similar environment, but Mr. Stone takes the the time to explain the house, its history, and all the work has been put into the place. This house has been in his family for generations, and he has honored his family by lovingly restoring and maintaining the property himself. He is a true southern gentleman in every sense of the word, and I cannot recommend this place, and him, enough.
- Karen (10/5): - Our stay was perfect! Joe was a wonderful host and breakfast was delicious. We look forward to visiting again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My wife & I have traveled for 43 years, and mainly stay at B & B’s whenever we can. There are bigger B&B’s, and some have been fancier, “however”, none have matched the hospitality, comfortable environment or great breakfasts as Joe Stone showed us on our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The musical concert he performed for was was amazing, the breakfast each morning made us feel special. Joe’s hospitality was the epitome of Southern Hospitality.
We would rate the Stone Musical B& B
6*stars if we could. We look forward to going back. The “site hostess”, is a dog named “Precious”. Precious treats everyone like family. 5 stars 🌟 out of 5 stars 🌟
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was great, very close to attractions but in a quiet residential neighborhood so you could enjoy the courtyard. Cottage was very comfortable and private. Breakfast was delicious, great coffee. The Piano program was fantastic, we learned a lot about music and his selections were very entertaining. Lots of beautiful art and maps as well as interesting antiques. Joseph is a wonderful host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - As soon as we got inside we were welcomed by what is best in Natchez, art, history, and good taste. We felt privileged and pampered.
The bedrooms were very comfortable, quiet, and restful.
The breakfast was too an unexpected culinary experience.
And finally, the piano concert show was unique and highly enjoyable.
One word, we consider it the best B&B we ever stayed in.
- Nathan (10/5): - Joe was an excellent host. The breakfasts were delicious, and we enjoyed the private piano concert very much! The room was very clean and exceeded our expectations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Couldn’t imagine staying anywhere more perfect than the Stone House in Natchez. Our host, Joe, made sure we were comfortable and entertained with his amazing talent. Breakfast was delicious and so special! We certainly hope to return!
- Geoffery (10/5): - The Stonehouse B&B is a unique experience. It was the family home when he was growing up. It is full of antiques that are fascinating, some original to the home and others to the period. Breakfasts where delicious. The piano concert was an added bonus.
- Marjory (8/5): This is Joseph Stone Musical Bed and Breakfast - We met Joseph Stone the morning after our arrival. Notice: a classical piano concert, with wine, is included with your stay. It was something that made our stay special.
We stayed in a cabin, very close to the main house. The cabin was older but decorated beautifully. The breakfast was excellent.
- William A (10/5): Stone House Highly Recommended - Traveling back to Atlanta from a visit to our daughter's family in Texas , we booked our Natchez stay at at the Stone House . We had a wonderful time and felt right a home . A lovely home with antiques and much family memorabilia and Joseph Stone providing a guided tour . Joseph is also a very talented musician and performed a piano concert for us while we had a beverage . Food was great and our room very comfortable . Highly recommended for history, education , entertainment and a delicious breakfast .
- Tom and Alyssa (10/5): Southern Elegance - Joe was a fabulous host and shared much family and local history. The cottage was private with plenty of room and comfort. A lovely walking distance to town.
