Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): - Historical house that had been well maintained and updated. Spacious rooms beautifully decorated. Delicious breakfast. Welcoming and friendly host and staff. Surrounded by vineyard.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a historic property run by the namesake family. When you stay at Salvestrin, you are staying in the founder's family home and greeted by a family member, supporting a legacy in winemaking. The hospitality is warm and personal - from the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, the morning breakfast in the home's dining room, the complimentary bottle of wine, and tasting. The setting is peaceful, with views of vineyards and a delightful second-floor balcony to enjoy wine and views. It's now my new favorite place to stay.
- gaBRIELLE (10/5): Wonderful experience - Wonderful stay at this lovely inn!
Perfect location in the middle of the vineyard and close to downtown st Helena! The balcony is perfect for a morning cup of coffee, evening glass of wine or after dinner cup of tea.
The complementary wine tasting is a treat and their breakfast is homemade and delicious!
The staff is very sweet and passionate about wine!
You won’t regret booking there!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful family run boutique winery. The main house is the historic family home with modern upgrades but maintaining the vintage charm with antique furniture, photographs and artifacts from over the years.Breakfasts were delicious and the staff added their personal touch telling the story of the how the winery started. One of the highlights was relaxing on the balcony sipping Salvestrin Sauvignon Blanc and gaze over the vines. It is situated close to town and yet feels quiet and miles away.
- george (10/5): - Excellent hosts. Great location
- Katharine (10/5): Delightful! - This was a great place to stay. Small and delightful. RJ took great care of us and his breakfasts were scrumptious! Will definitely return.
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect wine country getaway - Absolutely wonderful inn. Perfect location, walkable to amazing restaurants and wineries (sidewalks available to Downtown Saint Helena). The room was clean and large with a view of the vineyard. The breakfasts made by RJ were incredible with fresh fruit, egg dishes and freshly baked goods, and RJ gave us a lovely tour with the history of the house and vineyard. The complementary wine tasting was one of the best we’ve done—very personable staff and not at all crowded. Excellent Cabernet. Highly recommend staying here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing stay - Super friendly staff. From very beginning during email contact with RJ, through amazing gluten free food for breakfast, to the minute we had to leave
- Marrin (10/5): - The Inn at Salvestrin is a hidden gem in Napa valley. It is a historic building in great condition (renovated) on the grounds of the Salvestrin winery (great wine, complimentary tasting for guests). They only rent out 2 rooms so it is very intimate (note there is a 3rd for members only but that’s really it) and the Inn manager, RJ, goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and always has a smile for his guests. There are outdoor spaces exclusively for guests to enjoy and relax during their stay. Highly recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place to stay in Napa area great wine, close to everything walking distance to town
- Kim (10/5): Best vacation spot! - My husband and I stayed here for two nights in the Grayson room. This was the best room in my opinion because it overlooked the Vineyard and also the front of the bed and breakfast. The house was beautiful and RJ, who manages the property was a great resource. He emailed me a list of restaurants and wineries to visit. This was very helpful as it was our first time visiting Napa. They also provided a complimentary wine tour and a bottle of their wine blend which was delicious. They also offer a homemade breakfast in the morning. The scones are to die for. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Happy vacationing - I love how they introduce you to the history of the place and make you feel like you’re a part of it. Staff was super hospitable and the room was very clean and comfy. We had a lovely stay.
- Lesleigh (10/5): Exceeds Expectations - The Inn at Salvestrin Winery is lovely and in a great location on the edge of quaint St. Helena. RJ makes it amazing! His knowledge of the family and Inn's history adds to the charm and his baking at breakfast is incredible. RJ's hospitality made our trip, his restaurant and winery suggestions were perfect.
- Lin (10/5): St Helena Gem - I love the inn at Salvestrin winery! RJ is simply WONDERFUL. RJ is the Inn manager and personally sees you have a fabulous stay. From the beautiful presentation of fresh fruits and scrumptious baked goods for breakfast to the excellent dining and winery recommendations he goes the extra mile.
My room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the Vineyard and winery. I was thrilled with the location and on-site parking. It was a short walk to Saint Helena restaurants.
Staying on The winery property was convenient to arrange tasting of the fine Salvestrin wines with Eddie and Andy at the tasting room. They are friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. I was able to buy a bottle to enjoy while sitting on the in deck enjoying the perfect weather and spectacular views.
Attentive staff, well appointed relaxing rooms, picturesque wine country views, the inn at Salvestrin winery is a must do when staying in the Napa Valley for a true wine country experience.
- Mike (10/5): Top notch staff, facilities and wine. - This place is a gem! It is an underrated, world class Inn which my wife and I look forward to returning to for many years to come.
The staff and facilities are world class. We felt like we had our own private inn, in the center of the Napa Valley.
You will not regret picking the Salvestrin Inn, it’s staff, location and wine expertise are second to none.
