Guest Reviews
- Helen (10/5): A wildlife paradise - We thoroughly enjoyed every moment in the beautiful Siddhartha Wildlife Retreat. All the staff were so helpful. We have never seen so many birds. Our guide Harka and driver were so experienced and sensitive and went out of their way to make our jeep rides a wildlife sensation. We cannot wait to return. Thank you.
- Nitu (7/5): Elephant safari, nice pool, clean, nice food - The scenery, the service, the food. Everything was great i really enjoyed Nothing the place was awesome

- Denzell (9/5): -
- Pun (10/5): Do not miss the opportunity to have a blast. - Service was top notch, get ready to be mind blown.
Structure is built to give you the closest feeling of living in the nature, away from chaos and noise.
Very well trained staffs. Humble, kind, caring and respectful.
Chef needs a raise, we were not prepared to have such beautifully cooked meals.
Every activities are personalised, you will feel taken care of.
My request to the future visitors, please show appreciation for the hospitality and hard work the team puts in serving you. I am annoyed at the fact that, how good of a time we had.
It is going to be hard to match.
- Achyut (8/5): Very good -
- Bikalpa (8/5): Very good -
- ? (8/5): - The elephant safari was great fun.
- Ondřej (9/5): Superb - Great staff there! I would like to return in future.
Pool was great. Calm place.
Amazing elephant Tour. They have 2 own elephants and great staff. Try it! 2h in jungle and will see several rhino for 5m distance only! There was prpblem with WiFi for one day. Not internet. Next day they solved and was 60 mbits/s.
There is no electricity often during night.. so AC sometimes not working. But electricity is problém in whole Nepal..
- Shreechand (10/5): Very pleasant, satisfying and memorable - Hospitality, location, clean rooms, good food, swimming pool and elephant safari
- Rai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (7/5): Quiet pool chill in nature with downsides - - nice pool with plenty of nice spots to relax (minus one employee watching bollywood movies on speaker phone)
- very friendly staff
- complementary bird watching tour (saw golden jackals)
-beautiful surrounding lots of nature and right by the park away from the masses (had a flying fox sitting on our porch) - hardest beds we ever slept on
- rooms quite dark a bit old
- food was ok but limited choice (continental, nepali, indian or chinese set menu)
- activities cheaper than other meghauli resorts but still double compared to sauraha agencies (e.g. half a day walking tour 7700p.p. compared to full day canoeing and walking tour 7000p.p. in Sauraha
- Mehran (10/5): Good place to stay near nature - Very nice and service minded people
- Hiralal (8/5): Overall good - The location and peacefulness were great. Dinner was superb. No room service is available.
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annette (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (10/5): a heavenly getaway, surrounded by nature, with incredibly kind staff - we liked everything about the property. it was a tranquil oasis and a much needed break from city life. the staff are absolutely incredible, so attentive and they showed us such kindness and made us feel very at home.
we went on a jeep safari with some of the staff and had a fantastic time, even though we didn’t see a tiger, we still saw lots of incredible jungle wildlife and it was a dream to be that immersed in nature.
food is exceptional, all very fresh and the chefs and serving staff are all really lovely. nothing. we genuinely loved every second of our stay! we look forward to returning in the summer when we can use the pool area!
- Er. (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kilian (10/5): Lovely hidden gem in Chitwan - We stayed for 2 nights and welcomed 2020 here and we couldn't have picked a better place to be.
Ram was our guide and he also ensured that our stay was comfortable and took care of any requests we had. We were the only guests for the two nights as it is low season during winter time but we cannot recommend a better time to visit Nepal in general. All the other staff at the resort were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the other guides were also super friendly and chatty and happy to share stories.
We did the canoe tour on our first day and was treated to an array of birds and gators etc which ended with some snacks and drinks in a secluded corner for us to catch the sunset.
On our second day we decided to start our morning with a jungle walk followed by a Jeep drive after. We saw everything we wanted to except for tigers and sloth bears which are rare sightings anyway. The rhinos came out in full force after lunch, there were hundreds of deers and monkeys, great hornbills and the list goes on...
Food at the resort was fantastic and the chef was happy to cater to our dietary requests. Portions were huge though so you might want to tell them in advance that you don't eat much.
My husband and I were initially concerned about coming since I'm pregnant but we had no issues at all and would've extended our stay if we weren't on a tight schedule.
- S.Ahmed (10/5): - The staff at Sarang wildlife sanctuary are Amazing! They have gone above and beyond to make our stay memorable ! Mr Ram who was our tour guide for the Jungle Safari and Jungle walk was very knowledgeable and made every effort to make the tour experience fantastic. We saw the Rhinos on the Jungle walk and it was a great experience being in the wild ! Many thanks to Sarang wildlife sanctuary.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staying at Sarang Wildlife at Chitwan was one of our best experiences. Right from the cleanliness of our accommodation to service and accessibility of staff, everything was a 10/10. Our rooms were just as seen on the website - spacious, clean and luxurious. The staff and their service was impeccable! We had forgotten to give them prior notice of our dietary needs and yet, it took them all of one hour to prepare the most delicious and finger-licking meal for us (FYI, the dietary requirement was that of a “Jain” meal). As far as the safari is concerned, we happened to visit just immediately prior to the onset of the monsoons, so we weren’t able to spot any rhinos. Nonetheless, our guide, Harka and the elephant rider relentlessly took all effort to help us spot one (including by increasing our safari time by a whole 30 minutes!). FYI - the property is located in the buffer zone of the National Park accordingly, the safaris arranged for you will also be in that area and not inside the actually National Park, unless otherwise requested. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it.
