• Wolfgang (9/5): Direkt über dem Comer See / kaum zu toppen - Wir hatten ein traumhaft schönes Apartment. Unübertroffen ist die Lage. Der Balkon (nebenbei riesig) schwebt direkt über dem Wasser. Es war leider ziemlich kalt in den Zimmern. Es war schon Mitte Mai, nachts aber recht eisig… Kann ja keiner was dafür!

Idéale pour le printemps, la magnifique maison de Sabrina permet de savourer la splendeur du lac, loin des touristes. Réveils avec le clapotis de l'eau, le parfum du jasmin en fleurs et de magnifiques levers de soleil : un rêve. Appartement à la propreté irréprochable et très bien équipé. Nous avons été particulièrement touchés par les petites attentions pour notre bébé (lit avec des draps tout doux, chaise haute avec une assise confortable). L'embarcadère est à cinq minutes à pied, parfait pour explorer les autres villes du lac en bateau sans s'embêter avec la voiture, les embouteillages et les parkings. Nous avons déjà envie de revenir... RAS

• Marine (8/5): La Dolce Vita sur le lac de Côme, magnifique et reposant - Appart hôtel de qualité avec une vue exceptionnel sur le lac, l’impression d’être comme en croisière. Le personnel est serviable et réactif. Il fait bon vivre à la Darsena di Riva Grande Le lit était assez mou et le canapé pas très confortable. Le lustre LED de la chambre émettait une lumière constante même lorsqu’il était éteint mais heureusement le personnel a pu résoudre cette problématique lorsque nous lui avons signalé. Il n’est pas très aisé de se garer à proximité de l’hôtel.

• Nanna (10/5): Overraskende flot indkvartering lige ved Como søen - Den fantastiske placering med balkon ud over vandet og mulighed for at bade lige neden for boligen. Boligen var meget større end vi regnede med og med 3 udgange ud til den flotte udsigt. Det var også en god overraskelse med prosecco, Nespresso kaffe og morgenmadsprodukter. Boligen var fuldt udstyret Der var støj fra den trafikerede vej lige bag ved boligen og bilerne kører meget stærkt. Det kan være svært at finde parkering, men vi var heldige at finde en plads ved vejen lige oven over vejen som boligen ligger ved.
• Katharina (9/5): - Bei der Ankunft wurden wir herrlich von der Gastgeberin empfangen. Auf Nachfrage konnten wir sogar in ein anderes Zimmer welches unsere Erwartungen komplett übertroffen haben. Das Frühstück war ein typisches italienisches Frühstück mit süssen Stückchen, Kaffe, Eier, Joghurt, Tee, Milch usw. Vielleicht wäre es noch ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag wenn frische Früchte für das Frühstück zur Verfügung stehen würden. Das Haus liegt DIREKT am See. Ich könnte mir keine schönere Unterkunft vorstellen. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder !

• David (10/5): Can’t get any closer to Lake Como - Sabrina welcomed us with wine and goodies! Balcony was ON the lake. Moonrise was spectacular and the views are breathtaking. Plan on parking a couple hundred meters away if you have a car. Very nice place - we will be back!
• Justin (10/5): What a place! - Location was perfect. Literally between the lake front and the road that runs around the lake, which we viewed as a massive positive. Sitting on our balcony with a view of the lake and watching Vespas and Fiat 500s zip past. What's not to like! Proper Italian vibe. We had a flight of steps opposite, which led up to the local (small) supermarket and a couple of restaurants. There was a bus stop right outside and a boat terminal 200 metres away. The accomodation was spotless. Super shower. No air conditioning but 2 fans in the room were quite adequate during the night. Views from the balcony which had a wind out sun shade were excellent, particularly for the fireworks displays dotted about on the lake. Sabrina was the perfect hostess. Exactly the right amount of communication. Helped us navigate past a general strike on our day of departure by organising a taxi, which felt like a Limousine!! Having breakfast items provided was a lovely touch, as was the Prosecco on arrival AND again on departure. We absolutely fell in love with the place and our hosts. We will definitely be going back. We sat for 10 minutes considering this and couldn't think of a single thing that we didn't like. Parking is difficult, but it's difficult everywhere on lake Como.
• Steve (8/5): Enjoyable property with good location. - The location of the property is great, providing easy access to the lake ferry services, or for a quick (~25 minutes) drive in to Como by car. Plenty of good restaurants and several nice local bars within ten-twenty minute walk. Facilities in the property are good and make self catering easy - just turn up with food and off you go. Nice shared kitchen area with room and tables to eat, and Sabrina kindly provided coffee pods and cake! The public decking area is very nice and has an uninterrupted fantastic view right on the lake. Car parking is a challenge at the property as there are only two spaces outside and as these are public spaces then anyone can park in them, to visit the lake, go for a walk etc. There is some payable parking space at the closest hotel (Imperial) which is currently being renovated. However, the parking is limited to 4 hours between hours of 08:00-00:00, so this means to get through to morning and needing to leave by 8am you will need to be parking by 8pm. If you want to stay in bed or be later than 8am the next morning then you will need to factor in how many hours of your allowable four hours you use before midnight. The other thing we found frustrating (only small frustration) is the main front door which is quite heavy with an overly strong spring which has a habit of swinging shut as you are trying to walk through it. One of our party got caught on the thumb and if this had been a child it could have been a painful injury.

• James (10/5): - La Darsena di Riva Grande is located right on the lake in beautiful Moltrasio. (Just a 15 minute taxi ride from the Como train station) You can walk to many great restaurants, a gelataria and the ferry station in under 10 minutes. (The ferry gets you to Belagio and Varenna in less than 2 hours) You’ll also be greeted by incredible views from your private balcony or on the lower dock. There’s not a better place to wake up on Lake Como! We were met by Sabrina at checkin. She is a wonderful host who helps also with finding excursions (boat tours, plane tours, you name it). The kitchen is tastefully stocked with treats on your stay.

Away from the more crowded areas of Lake Como. Sabrina was a wonderful hostess. Well stocked shared kitchen with breakfast items, coffee. Comfortable bed with plenty of towels. Not a thing. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Lovely village, great restaurants close by. View from our bed of the lake was fabulous. Great room size Breakfast was all long life food. Fresh would have been nice.
• Caroline (5/5): IF you have transportation, it's a winner! - My review for this is all over the place. This is the best stocked property I've ever been in. There were eggs, many breakfast items, coffees, teas, milk, water, a cake and even a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy. It has a full kitchen and large rooms and bathrooms. There are 3 rooms have stunning lake views with nice balconies to sit on and enjoy the beauty. There are lounge chairs to lie in the sun and you can jump right into the lake. It you are looking to be out of the way and enjoy a peaceful visit to Lake Como, this would be the perfect spot!!! The bus and ferry stops are very close. The staff was very nice and answered questions promptly. It was very clean and had really spacious bathrooms. My 5 score is totally because I have mixed reviews about the location. As I said it is RIGHT ON the lake with a million dollar view! However, I could not recommend it if you did not rent/own a vehicle or motorbike. There are only 3 restaurants near and a couple more at the top of a steep hill. Anything else is a $50 Uber/taxi drive away. While close to the bus station (we used the C25), the busses fill quickly and then you have to wait another 45 minutes-hour for the next bus. There are no stores, grocery or otherwise, near. We rented Vespas for two days and could visit neighboring towns and rode @ 15-20 minutes to find a laundry mat. It is just not a walkable location. But if you have your own transportation and would rather be surrounded by peaceful, stunning beauty than throngs of tourists, it is gorgeous and you'll love it!

• Anna Erika (10/5): Mysigt hotell - Hotellet ligger väldigt mysigt till, utsikt över sjön. Vi fick också tillgång till en brygga med solstolar. Rummet hade inte badrum i samma rum, men bara precis rätt över, jättefint badrum, med dusch och badkar, väldigt fräscht. Trevligt med gemensamt kök. Det finns ingen affär i direkt närhet. Vi fick jättefin hjälp av hotellägaren Sabrina, lätt att checka-in och checka-ut. Det är inget lyxhotell men väldigt trevligt och var fräscht och såå fint läge. Nära till färjeterminalen. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka 🙌.

• Christopher (10/5): Lovely three nights in great place with lovely helpful host. - Couldn’t be closer to the lake, spacious accommodation and only 200yds from the ferry and several excellent restaurants. Walk along narrow roads without pavement a little alarming at first.

• Joseph Andrew Furst, (10/5): - Spectacular lakefront views with large balcony (Patria) apt. W full kitchen, large bathroom and roomy bedroom with adequate queen mattress. Sabrina had it nicely prepared for our arrival though she was unable to welcome us as we arrived after 2:30 pm. She left details requested regarding walkable restaurants and ferry transportation which was very helpful. We stopped at a grocery store in Como to stock up for our 3 night stay not knowing the extent of food necessities and goodies awaiting us provided by Sabrina. (Bread, juice,milk,coffee, tea, butter, water bottles, yogurt along with lots of breakfast cakes and croissants AND A CHILLED BOTTLE OF SPUMANTE. Such a pleasant surprise. One side note, we used Expedia and the main door entry code was erroneous as the last character is a ^ not a v. Sabrina was quick to respond when we shared that the fan remotes were ineffective due to dead batteries. Hopefully You will enjoy your stay here as much as we did. We will return!😎

• Lukas (10/5): A lovely place, with super friendly/helpful Hosts, to come back. - First of all, i would like to thank the Host Sabrina, she was super helpful and very welcoming! You feel as a guest very appreciated and welcome. Location: Right on the water with a lovely sun deck with access to the water. The boat harbor is also nearby, from there you can go on boat trips or drive directly to Como town in 30 minutes. Sabrina was always available to answer questions. Our room had its own kitchen with all kinds of equipment. Small snacks and water/juice, yogurt/eggs, etc. were also included free of charge for our stay. If you are four adults travelling: I would replace the folding sofa if possible, as it is a bit old for two adults and is no longer very comfortable. But it is still good for children if you are travelling with small children. But this is the only point where I see an improvement that could be made
• Lauren (10/5): - Amazing place to stay for our first trip to Como! We got lucky and were able to park right in front of the property every day. Had a balcony right on top of the water. It was a bit rainy and cool when we went but I’m sure in the warmer months it’s amazing to lay out on the dock and hop in the water for a swim. FYI did have a bathroom across the shared hall but not big deal to us as it was our own private bathroom. The host was very professional and helpful and answered all of my questions quickly! Would absolutely come back!
• Nicholas (10/5): Stop looking and stay here - This place is a must stay. We loved Moltrasio as it is quiet yet there are still many dining options. Waking up to the water and mountains was spectacular. There is a ferry 5 mins away from this place. We were very sad to leave. I would recommend booking a private transfer to and from your place as cabs were hard to get a hold of and bus seemed unreliable. We walked everywhere and took an hour 45 min ferry to Bellagio. It was a great way to see all the little towns on your way. Bellagio was too busy for us so Moltrasio is a perfect spot in our opinion. Sabrina was also a life saver on our last day and was VERY accommodating.
• Rachel (10/5): - Sabrina was very helpful and responded quickly. The view from our place was gorgeous, loved waking up to the lake every day. Also thankful our spot wasn't a super busy tourist spot. Totally going back to lake Como!!

• Liz (10/5): Beautiful family getaway. - Balcony on the lake. I could lie in bed and stare at the lake. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee, milk, sugar, eggs, butter, juice, pots, pans, dishes, wine opener. The bathroom had good water pressure which is a rarity this close to the lake. Everything was cute, super clean and very well maintained. Sabrina was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Parking is tough. There are only two spots out front and they aren’t private, so anyone can park there. We were there off peak season, not sure how one would find parking in peak season.

• Emily (10/5): Incredible views and value for money, hospitality was excellent and Sabrina was the perfect host. We can’t wait to come - The property is extremely well equipped with amenities, making our stay very easy and relaxing. Everything we needed was already at the property, so all we had to do was enjoy the incredible view! The balcony was unreal and literally felt like you were sleeping on the water! Nothing, I can’t fault it!

• Georgina (8/5): Stunning lake views and worth the money! - Stunning Lake view and access for swimming, just a few villa’s away from the famous Versace villa! Walking distance to ferry’s, restaurants and bars. It was on a very busy road and a bit of a dicey corner for walking. Had a bit of a share-house feel, but we had everything we needed. A lot of noise from cars/bus going past on road. Other guests can also be noisy in the shared kitchen.

• Loretta (10/5): Didn't want to leave - Fabulous location. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Plenty of space. Thoughtful and responsive host. There are only a few parking spots on the road outside the property, but that was fine in the end as there are only a few rooms.

• Avni (9/5): Excellent accommodations in a posh village. - Absolutely amazing! The property is located right on the water and only 400 meters away from the ferry dock. Everything inside was clean and the hotel has a common kitchen which is serviced on a daily basis. The solarium was also a big plus . No complaints.
• Lisa (10/5): HEAVEN ON EARTH - This was our heaven on earth! The setting is stunning, panoramic views, peaceful ....what else can I say....we stayed fir 3 night as a family of 3, with a 15yr old daughter and we fell in love with Darsena di Riva Grande it was just perfect, exactly what we needed follow a busy week touring through Rome & Florence. Sabrina was lovely, and shared kitchen was ideal ample facilities to cook and to our surprise there was complimentary prosecco, water, milk, eggs and continental breakfast with tea, coffee, cereal, croissants, pateries and condiments. We will definitely be back!

• Michelle (9/5): Magical spot on beautiful Lake Como! - Great location near Como but quiet and away from the crowds. We swam in the lake everyday and the view from our balcony was magical. We absolutely loved our time at Darsena di Riva Grande! Our only complaint is the mattresses are uncomfortable.
• Anastasia (4/5): Pressured to pay twice for the same room - Great location on the lake in a lively town of Moltrasio with a few restaurants nearby. Exceptional view from the balcony overlooking the lake. We were asked to pay €1,400 for less than a week’s stay… TWICE! After having paid via Booking ahead of our stay (which was an option), we were repeatedly harassed by Darsena staff over Booking messenger during our stay to ‘pay now’ in cash or by direct banking transfer as that is how they ‘prefer’ to handle payments. And that allegedly Booking ‘knew nothing’ of the payment we have made via the app. No one was there to come talk to us in person (we asked for someone to come in and check proof of payment on our phone apps) - no one was interested, they were just sending endless messages demanding the second payment for the same room. No one was available to check us in despite arriving during the formal check-in window and confirming the arrival time the night before, and telling them we were coming back to stay with them for a week before our wedding in Lake Como. After having spent 2 weeks at Darsena just after the first Covid lockdown as borders with UK reopened - we were very much looking forward to our stay…. To only get harassed days before our wedding (which the property knew about ahead of time as well). In the end, I has to submit a formal complaint to Booking to ask the property to stop extorting money from us for the stay we have PREPAID (and have shared proof of payment from Booking and our bank). Only after Booking intervened, the property backed off. No apologies offered. Lake Como is now so over-run by tourists that they probably don’t care about treating guests with a minimum of respect anymore (we had great memories of our first stay). Some appliances now also don’t work as intended - the cattle has to be physically pulled out of the plug socket to stop - as it doesn’t self-stop once the water reaches boiling temperature. The cattle handle overheats and can’t be touched with bare hands.
• Paul (10/5): - Wow, Wow, Wow. What a place to stay. We were met by Sabrina the host, nothing was too much trouble. The room and its view is something you can normally only dream of. Stunning. There were many little extra touch like cakes, milk, coffee biscuits etc available to us. It’s only a 300m walk into the town, where there are a few bars and restaurants, but it’s also where you can catch the ferry to anywhere on the lake. For example the trip into Como was just over 20mins. This place is highly recommended, do yourself a favour, stay here!!!
• Daphne (7/5): Good location, nice deck, but please verify the type of room you book! - The building is an old boathouse. At the water level there is a common deck that all guests can use (my guess is that there are 5 rooms in total). However, most guests have their own balcony overlooking the water (we did not). However, there are not enough spaces to sit and go for a swim if all rooms would make use of the deck. For the price we paid (over 200EU per night), I expected a room with water view. Our room looked out on a small street with very noisy busses and motorbikes. It was my mistake to not properly verify the type of room. However, when we asked to get a waterside view, the staff offered it on the one night it was available, which was very kind considering the extra work it would be for them. Finally - I did not like that there was no normal chair nor desk in our room. I had to take some workcalls and I had to sit on the bed. The room is large enough to add one. There are tables in the shared kitchen.
• Timo (9/5): Beautiful view, great location, friendly staff - Superb location, peaceful surroundings, smooth self check-in when we arrived before 22:00, quiet at night, amazing views from the balcony, clean and well maintained, sun beds and swimming were a big bonus, helpful & friendly staff Not complaints at all, but air conditioning would add a fifth star for sure.

• Amanda (10/5): The perfect spot to relax and explore Como. - Perfect location! Right on the lake which meant spectacular views and easy to take a dip. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and bites to eat. Parking was easy too. A great stay!

• Fabrice (9/5): Perfect holiday. Beautiful Enviroment. Love it :) - The View was perfect. The Room was very big. I liked the Snacks we got in our Room. Moltrasio it self is a beautiful town. The electricity fall out 2 times. I had to put on the lever by myself. Normaly i would say, thats no problem, but when you bought some Ice-cream or Milk, the Freezer and Cooler wont work without electricity. We had many Ants outside on the balcony and in our room. Thats a problem in my eyes. The Bed makes noices everytime you turn yourself. The biggest CON is the parking situation. You have 2 Parkingspots (wont be available most of the time due other guests) and behind this 2 spots you have 1 spot near a wall.

• Rolf (5/5): I probably will not stay here again. Just because the amenities are not up to standard. - Well this is a nice enough place. Bed is comfortable. No air conditioning. Breakfast was not what we expected. There were eggs in the fridge and boxed pastries . No fresh pastries or fruit. All items were boxed and wrapped in plastic. A bit of a disappointment. What we got caught out on was that when we booked the room, we looked at the specific room pictures, and it showed a balcony, a small kitchen, so we thought that was what we were getting. So we were a bit shocked when we arrived to a room without this. If a look back now and search booking.com and you select the room that you choose,(triple room) most hotels or B&B have pictures only of what to expect in that particular room. But in this case the specific room, showed pictures of balcony, small kitchen, lovely views etc. No coffee in room. So we were caught out. Also we were bombarded with emails and phone messages as to the expected timing of our arrival. Although the site said that check in was from 14:30 to 23:30 and we had already prepaid for the room, the messages continued. However when we knew what time we were coming we told the host, but then got a message to say that she would not be there and therefore should use the codes to let ourselves in. So why all the harassment about our check in timing, if we got codes to let ourselves in anyway. To access the stunning terrace as advertised on their site, you had to go through a door into a boat docking area which was super dirty and then to the side door to access the terrace. It was a bit strange as if we shouldn't have been there, the whole docking area looked abandon with cobwebs & dirty furniture. Really strange. There is absolutely no parking at this site. Two open public spaces are outside the front door, but were never free. We came to the conclusion that the houses around were using it. So we had to drive around looking for public parking and when we did find it, we had to go back every 4 hours to replenish the parking meter. Puts a dampener on your holiday.

• Lisa (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful place - The location was perfect! Right on the lake and view of the mountains and twinkling lights at night from our bed was so romantic. So peaceful and relaxing. There were all the facilities we could want.. hot, powerful shower, comfortable large bed, balcony overlooking the lake, drinks, food and cooking facilities in the kitchen and even a paddle board for swimming straight from the jetty. The bathroom was clean and spacious and also had the hairdryer attachment for curly hair which never happens! Only a 5 minute walk from the ferry stop and restaurants made it so easy too. We had the best time and one of our favourite ever places to stay. Fantastic value for money. Couldn't fault it. Was perfect for us in every way! We did not want to leave!
• Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the lake view and the close proximity to the ferry. Having a fridge and a kitchen was also great especially with a small child. The street is rather noisy but by the second night we were already used to the noise
