- Sebastian (10/5): Eine Übernachtung wert - Ich möchte nur das Haus bewerten und das hat mir außerordentlich gut gefallen. Das Haus ist eigentlich ein Museum aus früherer Zeit, liebevoll eingerichtet mit Möbeln der Zeit. Einige der Ausstellungsräume haben eine Tür und werden als Unterkünfte genutzt. Alles hat einen antiquierten Charme und es gibt viel zu entdecken. In der Übernachtung ist eine Führung durchs Haus mit Erläuterungen zur Geschichte inkludiert. Wirklich ein Erlebnis. Das Frühstück wird am Platz serviert, Rührei, Bratklops und Bisquit, ein Joghurt mit Obst. Der Pool war das Beste, ein toller Anblick und schon tief. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Nachbarschaft ist heruntergekommen und die Stadt an sich ist nicht wirklich schön, aber natürlich Geschmacksache.

- Delsia (2/5): Once in a lifetime experience - We loved the historic aspect and ambience. The staff was WONDERFUL! Location (which can’t really be altered). Being woken up at 2am by a guest knocking because they were locked out and again at 3am by guests laughing and either going down or up the stairs. Our room had a leaking toilet so the constant flushing interrupted the little sleep we were getting. The shower also had a drip. It was a symphony between the toilet and shower.

- Hans (7/5): Niemals 5 Sterne - schmutzig und unfreundlich - Schönes Anwesen Schöner Pool Das soll 5 Sterne sein !!!!! Unfreundliche Begrüßung durch einen großen afroamerikanischen Mann mit schmutziger Kleidung Henrys Zimmer mit Wanne gebucht und bezahlt aber Pool Room bekommen. Zimmer sehr schmutzig. Beim verschieben der Möbel tauchte sehr alter Dreck von anderen Gästen auf. Große schwarze Käfer im Zimmer. Keine Pool Handtücher bekommen Frühstück zu wenig es wurde eine Teller mit 2 Blätter Speck einen Esslöffel Rührei und einem Brötchen aus der Küche gebracht Blick aus dem Fenster war schön bis ein Hund genau vor dem Frühstücksraum sein Geschäft erledigt hat Wohl nicht zum ersten Mal. Es lagen einige alte Geschäfte im Garten verteilt herum. Es war Vorsicht geboten beim Rundgang.

Het is een bijzondere ervaring om in een historisch pand te verblijven. Je moet wat ongemakken voor lief nemen, die je in een modern hotel niet zou accepteren, zoals een koffiezetapparaat, maar voor gebruik moet je die verhuizen naar de bakkamer, omdat alleen daar een vrij stopcontact te cinden was. Het restaurant was goed en wordt ook door mensen gebruikt die niet in de Inn verblijven De electrische installatie in de kamer is niet up to date en twijferachtig kwa veiligheid.Veel verlengsnoeren en wienig vrije stopcontacten. De lakens op het bed waren zo gekreuekeld, dat het de indruk wekte dat het bed gebruikt was, maar ik ben behoorlijk zeker dat het wel schoon was

- AnnC UK (9/5): Best Stay in Vicksburg - Loved the pool and the historic connections of the house. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were accommodated. Very characterful but with good electrics and plumbing. Light level in bedroom low after dark. an additional lamp or two would have helped. Aircon controlled centrally was a little cool for us.

- Stuart (10/5): Would love to go back for a leisurely stay - It has a lot of old history. Beautiful main building. The room we had was by the pool had a comfortable bed. TV format and the breakfast was 8-9 not good for early morning travelers.
- Dr. Andreas (3/5): No breakfast - no explanation - no refund! Uninterested personel. - It is a historic building, rooms are large enough. In the morning, we were told, that there were only "donuts and coffee" for breakfast. One of the reason for booking this B&B had been the positive reviews about the breakfast. The service personel didn't explain why, just said "someting is not working". They were alltogether uninterested in offering any service or help. Despite this problem that all the guests faced, there was no manager on site. No refund or compensation was offered. Our credit card had been charged with the full amount during the night, so the money was gone. We still expect a refund from this B&B, as we don't want to pay for service we did not get! No help was offered by the male staff to hepl us carry our heavy luggage the two steep staircases to the second floor. The room was not very clean - we found candies expired six months ago (!) in one of the drawers of the nightstand.

- Kathleen (10/5): Lovely historic home. - This is a lovely antebellum home with an amazing history. It's on the National Register of Historic Homes. The staff gave us a great tour after breakfast. The grounds give it a feeling of relaxing privacy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Dinner at the in-house restaurant was delish. Rooms were well-appointed and the bed was quite comfy. Easy walk to the charming downtown. The breakfast was a little skimpy.

- Jane Bearden (5/5): I left as soon as the sun came up. - The food and drink in the inn was wonderful. Presentation, taste, selection all excellent. The staff was quite helpful if unfamiliar with Booking. They did not have the info they expected but they kept after it until they figured it out. I was impressed by their willingness to pitch in and to help each other. The facility actually needs a valet. There was not elevator and a long dangerous set of stairs to my room. The bartender carried by bag up but there was no one who would be responsible for that help. The staff was not sufficient to handle senior needs and wants. The room was period appropriate but not really done well. The paintings are old, ragged, tired. If they want to display the elegance of the antebellum south they need to do it with an eye for accurate history and well kept furnishings. These places have an opportunity to showcase the true horrors of the social system that held people in slavery. It should be remembered not for glory but for edification so that it will be stopped.

- Andreas (1/5): Absolut keine Empfehlung! - Lage ist ok. Wo soll ich anfangen, erstmal wir schreiben fast nie etwas aber hier wollen wir einfach mal warnen. Keine Ahnung wo die vielen guten Bewertungen herkommen. Das Hotel hat, bei viel guten Willen, 2 Sterne verdient aber 5... nie im Leben! Es hätte sicherlich Potential aber es ist alles dreckig, abgewohnt und das Frühstück eine Zumutung. Wir hatten die River View Lodge... da denkt man der Highway geht durchs Zimmer und das Beste ist, eine ehemalige Tür ist nicht zugemauert sondern durch ein Brett verschlossen. Man kann es einfach nicht beschreiben, unfassbar!

The bed was very comfortable, I loved the antiques and furniture in this inn, the staff were very friendly. It is a unique accommodation and one that I would definitely return to again. There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

- Susan (9/5): A fabulous place to stay steeped in history - It's a beautiful old house with a lot of history. We really appreciated the owner coming to speak with guests after we had dinner in the evening and also during breakfast. The room was large and comfortable. It was quiet. We really appreciated the friendly helpful staff and that we could have a drink at the bar and dinner there. The food was excellent. We appreciated the owner giving guests a tour of the house and telling us about the house's history and the history of it's original owners in the 19th century. Highly recommend it. It's important to note there is no lift if you have a lot of heavy luggage and a room upstairs.

For the history of this house, its specific history in the era of the civil war, and the charming historic downtown. Not to mention the Riverwalk and accompanying murals, themselves special historical moments related to Vicksburg. Meanwhile, the accommodations are beautiful, so comfortable, and breakfast is lovely—which is followed by a docent led tour of the whole house.

You could almost imagine the original owners moving about their day around you. Antique furniture everywhere reinforced the fantasy. Simply beautiful!

All the tablecloths were unapatisingly stained and dirty. Allowiwng for the age of the building, it needed ckeaning. The bed was very hard.

Ovviamente i contro di una villa d'epoca ci sono anche se qui sono minimi.Non abbiamo potuto cenare all'interno la cucina non apre sempre. Contrattempo il mattino seguente ci siamo trovati senza colazione disponibile, il personale non si è presentato. Risolto brillantemente dalla proprietaria che ha rimborsato il valore , dato indicazioni precise di dove andare in zona oltre anche ad averci fatto una breve guida alla villa dove oltre ai vari pezzi dei mobili e vettovaglie è stata conservata una palla di cannone la dove è caduta ai tempi della querra tra nord e sud di seccessione. Alla fine tutto bene.

This historic home offers, elegant accommodations, friendly staff, and the chance to imagine you’re back in the days of antebellum America enjoying luxury as the wealthy did. Each room has a story including cannonballs still in the walls and floor from the siege of 1863. There is a guided tour to learn more of the house’s story. We had a delicious dinner and elegant breakfast in the on-site dining room. If you get a chance to indulge yourself and stay here, take it. Still needs a bit of renovation work

Unser Zimmer (Zimmer 8) war nicht sauber: Haare in der Dusche, der Badmüll wurde nicht gelehrt. Darüber hinaus ließ sich das Zimmer mit einer Heizung heizen, die extrem nach Gas roch. Außerdem hatte unser Zimmer keine Badewanne, wie in der Buchung angegeben, das Zimmer stimmte aber mit den Bildern überein. Irritierend sind auch die 5 Sterne bei Booking und bei Google ist es ein 3 Sterne Haus. Insgesamt hat das Inn sicher Potential, wirkt aber eher ungepflegt.

We stayed in the outer rooms, this review is specifically for that room-2. Room cleanliness was a nightmare. Spiders & spiders webs in every corner , mosquitoes buzzing around all night. Drawers filled with hairs , no one bothered to clean them. To make things worse pool outside made bubbling sound kept us awake all night. The bedroom lighting was very dim making it difficult to read, minimal electric plugs or charging stations by the bed, parking was on the grass due to an event at the Inn, breakfast was a small sausage biscuit with a few grapes and berries on the plate, coffee and orange juice were self served, and used cups and empty beer bottles, were scattered around the first floor sitting areas the morning after the event.

- Antonio (2/5): Alloggio bellissimo, reception pessima, gestione disastrosa, dubbi sulla sua pulizia - Struttura di per sé molto bella, di gran pregio, risalente a fine '800. Nel bagno anche la vasca con l'idromassaggio. Pessima accoglienza: la persona addetta alla accoglienza (Anthony) si è mostrata da subito poco empatica e quasi aggressiva nonché maleducata (spero di aver capito male, ma mi ha detto "dimmi il tuo fottuto nome" e ha insolentito anche la nostra guida americana che però lo ha messo subito in riga). Addirittura sembra aver mostrato fastidio quando ha saputo che siamo italiani. Noi eravamo alloggiati in una struttura separata, senza ascensore, e ci ha indicato il luogo dal basso senza accompagnarci né aiutarci a portare le valigie su per le scale. Scale che in una delle rampe non erano illuminate (era già buio). Avevamo una bella suite che affacciava su di un terrazzo comune...su un tavolino c'era una bottiglia di birra quasi finita che è rimasta lì nei due giorni successivi (chissà se è ancora lì). uno dei due letti, quello piccolo, sembrava non rifatto e quindi avevamo il sospetto che non fossero state sostituite le lenzuola. Anthony le ha sostituito sotto l'insistenza nostra e della guida. Dulcis in fundo, la sera abbiamo scoperto che non c'era acqua calda che poi è stata ripristinata il giorno dopo su nostra richiesta. Per vari motivi non abbiamo mai potuto fare colazione ma un'altra persona del gruppo ci ha detto che era pessima!
- Michael (10/5): Will most definitely be staying here again. - The owners and entire staff went above and beyond to ensure the guests were comfortable and had everything they needed. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The grounds were well taken care of and the facility was immaculately clean and well maintained. The location was quiet and close to the downtown/historic district. Would most definitely recommend and we'll be staying here again.
