• Alison (8/5): A quiet motel, received a restful night sleep and felt safe. - Enjoyed being able to see some of Mount Rushmore at motel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The larger refrigerator in the room was helpful. Glad the room had a small table. Individual little soaps needed if taking a bath. Air/Heat hard to adjust with remote control since the unit is mounted high on the wall.

However, house keeping barged in after I said “no, thank you!” while I was getting ready. Pretty ridiculous and unsettling. Convenient stay but put up the do not disturb sign.

• Chris (10/5): - The 5 stars is for the front desk lady in the morning. She's warm and welcoming. I hesitated about the tunnels at Needles Highway but with her warm assurance, I drove one of the memorable drives in Custer State Park. Needles Eye wasn't as narrow as I thought. The motel and the room were dated. I personally don't like beds with those old school coverings. That said, I would stay there again. The motel is in a very convenient location; virtually at the foot of Mount Rushmore. Restaurants are within walking distance but shops close early including the gas station store next door.

Needed to have a way for security to ask guests or the bar to please move their cars for guests of the hotel. Other parking options were across the street. Not helpful if you're disabled. Need more ada rooms.

Store and laundry are close by, convenient. There is indeed a view of Mount Rushmore from the parking lot and upper floors

If you are looking for a basic hotel to simply shower and sleep in, this is it. There are no amenities. The fridge had food in it that wasn't ours and we found someone else's clothes under one of the beds. The wifi wasn't great. There were only 8 standard cable channels and only one that was kid friendly up until 5 pm and then we couldn't watch it bc they were mature cartoons. It's not listed anywhere that room service is only offered upon request, so it was a bit of shock when we came back later in the day and the room hadn't been cleaned. The beds were so uncomfortable and pillows were flat! You can feel every.single. movement. if you are sharing a bed.

• Sybille (6/5): Nur die Lage war gut. Preis-Leistungsverältnis passt nicht - Nur die zentrale Lage in Keystone. Man kann fast alles fußläufig erreichen. Die Dame an der Rezi war sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer wurde höchstens auf Anforderung gereinigt. Wir hatten Zimmer 205. Das Zimmer hat nur Fenster zur Eingangsseite, wo alle Gäste vorbeilaufen. Um nicht beobachtet zu werden musste man die Vorhänge zuziehen, was ein sehr dunkles Zimmer zur Folge hatte. Frühstück gab es nicht, das Hotel konnte nicht mal einen Löffel bereitstellen. Geschirr gab es auch nicht. Wie soll man sich das etwas in der Microwelle machen. Es fehlte ein Safe.
