- Patsy (10/5): - Cozy and clean guesthouse off the main road. Room is identical to pictures so be wary of size. Share space (dining room) is well stocked and equipped with utensils, hot water, instant coffee, etc. Shared fridge space and microwave access available. Washing machine on site is a plus, with warehouse space for drying. Coin laundry facility is 5 minutes away when necessary. Breakfast buns are provided daily. We had a wonderful stay and the staff onsite was very helpful with answering questions. We were also able to order a "lunchbox" (wrapped in leaves) for our day hikes which was convenient.

- Rachel (10/5): - The place is very quiet. I initially wanted to hike the Jomon Sugi trail, but with limited time and insufficient preparation, it wasn't possible. However, Kentaro was so very helpful in suggesting an alternative trekking itinerary. Hopefully I wasn't too annoying with my endless questions :)

Although the breakfast should be served at 7am onwards, after we said our high speed boat would depart at 7am, they said they could have it prepared for us earlier, which was very heart warming.
- AKIYO (10/5): ヤギがいる綺麗な民宿 - とってもいいお宿でした！！ バス停もすぐ近くなので、縄文杉に登る際もバスで行く方は便利です。 安房港もすぐ近く（頑張れば歩ける）、宮之浦港からもバスで30分程度なので、アクセスが良いです。 コインランドリーもすぐ近くなので、連泊する方にもおすすめです。 宿の方はフレンドリー！一人で泊まっても寂しくないです。
- Verified traveler (6/5): 構われず気楽 - 鍵を渡されて説明をひと通り聞いたら部屋で自分で布団を敷き自由にゴロゴロ。 山の中なので多少の虫がいる。 寝ようとドアを閉めようとしたら大きな蜘蛛がドサッと落ちてきてびっくり。 都会では見れないサイズ。 共有スペースでは会話したりなんか食べたりゲームしたりと楽しそうにしてた。 若者や一人旅だと良い気がする。

Staff were very friendly and helped us to pack lunch for our hike. The room came with our own private bathroom. Saw a couple of big spiders in the room but I suppose it is inevitable given the location.

- Shinya (10/5): 親切なスタッフに感謝です。 - 屋久島観測史上最大降雨を記録した５月１１８日の集中豪雨で飛行機が欠航するなどして結局初日の１７日以外に宮ノ浦岳下山後の１９日２０日も宿泊させていただきました。近くに磯の香りと言う居酒屋があり美味しい食事もできました。親切なスタッフの皆さんには本当に感謝です。お陰で屋久島が大好きなりました。また来島したら必ず泊まりにきます。
- Verified traveler (10/5): - とてもアットホームで過ごしやすかったです。スタッフの方も皆さん親切で、困ったことは相談させて頂きました。 冷蔵庫とキッチンは使わせてもらえるし、近くにスーパーもあるので、3日以上滞在する人には自炊したり、楽しいと思います。空港からバスで10分〜15分ほどで、最寄りのバス停からも近いのでとても便利です。 縄文杉登山に行くにも、美味しいお弁当を用意して頂けますし、バスの時間等詳しく教えて頂きました。

We stayed in the Japanese style small room and not much space left after mattresses were laid out but enough for our purposes to get comfortable sleep. They let everybody know to be quiet at night since some guests leave very early for the long hike next day. It was nice to have our own bathroom/shower in our room.
- Jennifer (8/5): Comfortable stay in Yakushima - We had a great stay in Yakushima! This was in a good location, and was a pretty close walk to some restaurants, a souvenir shop, and grocery stores. The sleeping area was comfortable and our hosts were so friendly, helpful and made sure we had a nice packed lunch for our early morning hike. Our kids (age 2 and 6) also had a comfortable stay. We did find a few harmless spiders in our room, but it was expected since Yakushima is such a lush, forest area, with wildlife all around.
