• Renee (9/5): Luxury in Seoul. - As this was a special trip, the staff gave us some extra goodies and made us feel so welcome. The bed is extremely comfortable, the room is well appointed and there is a nespresso machine and pods which is a nice tough. A luxurious stay for the last night of our trip. Highly recommend. I think the only downside would be the price of the room service food/drinks. I know it's notorously expensive, but paying the equivalent of about $18 NZD for a latte is getting a little insane. Not a biggee though as we were able to easily eat locally at a much more reasonable price.

• TravelsbyMsJ (10/5): Great location - Great location and super convenient to everything. The hotel complex is attached to Yongsan Stqtiin and IPark Mall by a footbridge. Rooms are spacious and clean. I loved the view from our suite and also having a washing/machine dryer in the room was a huge plus. Great selection of food at the breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea and nightly canapes in the Executive Lounge. Will definitely stay here again.

• donyaa671 (8/5): Nice enough . Little English - This hotel was chosen for us by a Tour group. And I traveled solo so I had my own room. The hotel is in a location that has nothing but a mall attached to it and it’s very busy. The staff speak very little English. It seems more like a destination for businesses and conferences.

• akh74 (8/5): Home Base Hotel - This hotel is a solid 4. It is really well located with proximity to the mall and the subway station. I found it overwhelming upon arrival as it is so huge! But when I returned to this hotel after two weeks exploring Korea, I found myself happy to be back at this hotel. The temperature controls in the room, the empty mini fridge, the bath products, the mirrors on the bathroom doors, etc I really appreciated for a compact room. The breakfast is definitely 5 stars -- so many varieties of kimchi, other Korean fare, American fare and so forth.

• miinn219 (2/5): 0.5 star only hotel - And that’s for its location - The worst Novotel hotel I have ever stayed in. Multiple lapses by the hotel during my stay: 1. Floppy hairdryer, 2. Dirty spoons not cleaned/replaced, 3. Faulty security box, 4. Bedroom slippers kept being thrown away, 5. Attempted extra charge on my laundry round and 6. Shirt sent in for laundry was returned dirtier than before. What was offered was free sauna which was no use to me (busy on business trip). Then came laundry which only the last round was waived because it was cheaper than the round (second last) that had the mistake - that I questioned the sincerity of the team in their compensation. Only upon further request that the balance of all laundry charges was waived - not without rude expressions or discussions right in front of me all the while (shout out to Jacob Bang - Front Desk and Philip Yoo - Night Duty Manager). To the team in Novotel Ambassador Hotel YongSan - Please undergo official hospitality training and improve your hotel services. I would only give this hotel a 1/2 star rating max.

• 84Cerberus84 (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - We enjoyed our stay there and the staff was very accommodating and helpful whenever we had any questions. We had a comfortable and enjoyable 5D4N stay. We had breakfast buffet once, and it was a good selection but I think if you are really travelling to experience and not rushing, there are a lot of food options you can try. Have no complaints about the food but there is really a lot of options outside, from Yongsan Station to iPark Mall that is connected via a bridgeway/walkway to the 2F of Seoul Dragon City accessible from the Elevator Lobby. Rooms were clean and they made up/cleaned the room whenever we requested it (through the room switch and no need to call and remind the front desk). The only thing I found odd was the headboard had 3 outlets, 2 universal plugs and 1 korean plug. The 2 universal plugs seems to be "for show" and were not properly run with a connection as the internal frame of the headboard seems to be blocking the outlet preventing any plug from being pushed in. There are other outlets so it wasn't really a big issue. The bathroom design has the shower stall and watercloset stall open into the hallway that has the lavatory counter. It has a sliding screen that prevent direct view from the bed/sleeping area but there is no physical door/enclosure for the sink area so this is a preference you will need to be comfortable with. The TV allowed to pair with a chrome cast with phone (android or ios) but only allowed specific streaming apps to be mirrored. So if you want to play any video file from your device, just a reminder to bring your own HDMI cable. If you did not bring, you could just buy one from a nearby store.

• Min Kyung (5/5): 노보텔이라는 이름의 기대감보다는 만족도가 낮고 가성비 떨어짐 - 몇분걷지만,전철이용시 편리한편이고 조식은 괜찮았음. 사우나 이용시 타호텔은 보호자동반 가능이였는데, 15세기준에 못미쳐 이용못했고 보호자동반도 안된다는 점과 이용 추가비용발생도 있다는점이 불편했으며 숙박료대비 추가부분생각하면 가성비는 별로였음. 추가로 체크인시 직원이 초보였는지 묻고 답변받는 대기시간 길어져 불편했으며 친절한 느낌은 없고 딱딱한 느낌이였음.

• 1972TravelGirl (8/5): Modernized room. Well appointed amenities - Wonderful Modern Stay. The room is completely modernized. There are loads of plugs for charging at the desk, on the bed, and by the tea kettle. In today’s world, an abundance of plugs is non negotiable. The bathroom is updated with a Japanese bidet, powerful shower (rain head and paddle sprayer), clean toiletries (light gender neutral fragrance). Love that there is body lotion too. The lighting is excellent at the vanity. Perfect for doing makeup, and there is a plug on the wall for grooming hair. Love it when a hotel gets this right for women. There are robes and slippers in the room. The tea set up feels nicer than most with better quality tea and instant coffee. While I wish there was proper coffee in the room (nespresso machine please), at least the instant is illy brand. The bed is comfortable with lofty duvet and pillows. The color palette feels clean in white, off white, grey and orange. Staff is friendly and location is walkable. Over all I am incredibly pleased with the rooms and experience in this hotel!!

• jusufm2026 (10/5): Novotel Ambassador Suites Seoul (good stay, would go again) - I stayed at Novotel Ambassador Suites in Seoul and honestly it was a really good experience overall. Nothing overly “luxury-crazy,” but it felt comfortable, practical, and easy, which is exactly what I wanted. The room / suite The best part for me was the suite layout. Having a bit of separation (sleeping area + living area vibe) made it feel way more relaxing than a normal hotel room. The room was clean, everything worked, and it had that “nice but not try-hard” feeling. It was also quiet enough to sleep well, which I care about a lot in Seoul because the city can be busy. Cleanliness Overall clean and well-kept. Not “brand new showroom” level, but definitely good standards. Housekeeping was solid and consistent. Staff / check-in Staff were polite and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Not super chatty (which I personally like), but if you ask for something, they try to help. Location Location was convenient, especially if you want to move around the city without feeling stuck. Getting to different areas was pretty straightforward. Amenities The hotel has that “everything you need is there” type of vibe. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything important. It’s a solid base for exploring Seoul. Tips I’d tell a friend If you can, book a higher floor for a calmer feel and nicer views. The suite style is great if you’re staying multiple days—feels less cramped, especially if you’re working or shopping a lot. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs just in case (standard Seoul tip, not just this hotel).

• 지우 (6/5): 위치굳. 서비스 글쎄 - 아침식사가 맛있었어요 체크인할때 사전요청사항을 먼저 기입했는데도 전달이 안됐었고 체크인 3시부터인데 조식사전결제 마감이 그 전이라는 거에 의아했습니다. 체크인 대기가 아니고 단지 체크인카운터에서 체크인과정이 15분 넘게 걸려 너무 힘들었고 직원분이 미숙해서 뭐 하나 처리할때마다 동료직원분께 물어보고 다시오고 하는 과정이 반복되어서 신뢰가 가지 않았습니다. 커넥팅룸 요청했고 열어도 된다고하셨는데 투숙객 스스로가 열 수 없는 컨디션이라서 재차 요청드렸고 한참 후에 직원분 오셨는데 발자국(땀) 찍으면서 오셔서 난해했습니다. 커넥팅룸 문에서 투숙객이 처리할 수 없는 스티로폼 등이 있어서 수거해가셨는데 문 열어도 된다고 하셨을때 체크 해보셔야 했던게 아닌가 싶습니다

• Jean-Philippe (9/5): Hôtel parfait bien situé ,propre , personnel de l'hôtel polie et très serviable. - L'hotel est parfaitement situé à côté d'une grande station de métro et de train qui va dans la plupart des directions, ainsi qu'à un accès à un très grand Mall pour les achats de dernière minutes. Chambre spacieuse, très silencieux agréable après des longues journées dans les transports ou l'excitation de la ville.

• Gerrit (6/5): Simpler would be better - Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the door lock in my room and they helped me move to another one quickly. Hotel is close to the station - about a 10 min walk. There shouldn't be a problem with room door locks at this price... A few days before arrival, I got a generic corporate message 'offering' quick check-in and checkout if I register for some loyalty program. Turns out one can check out quickly without registering for this program, but having to confirm that was an unnecessary worry and hassle. (I was already on a tight schedule and chose this hotel to be able to catch an early train, so couldn't afford any delays.) As others have mentioned, the layout of the bathroom is unusual. Also, you have to turn off the bedroom lights using the phone's touchpad, which is a bit finicky. A simple switch would be better. On-site restaurants are pricey.
